2681  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: January 12, 2015, 04:00:38 AM
Current stats:
  • Number of registered users: 365
  • Last 7 days total payouts: 2.47512917 BTC
The campaign doesn't bring too much customers. I hope it works to brand awareness.

I would assume that it doesn't bring many customers as the average bitcoin user has no need for a mixer. It is kind of a niche of bitcoin.

Getting people to know your brand is great marketing.

It won't bring much people in directly, but at least they know where to go when they do need to mix their coins.

I agree. I know that if I ever need to mix my coins, bitmixer is the place to go.

Keep going bitmixer! Love your automated payment system btw, makes it very easy.

2683  Other / Meta / Re: Preventing newbies to start new threads! on: January 11, 2015, 10:11:17 PM
You're wrong.
There is no single valid reason for anyone to create a thread on their first day.
My point exactly!

But what if a newbie wants to ask a question about this forum or bitcoin? Ask the question in a thread completely unrelated to the question?
Here is your answer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0

That's the only place they should be allowed to start a new thread.

But then the scammers would just post unrelated spam in the beginners and help section saying stuff like "I'm sorry, but I can't post anywhere else except here, give me a loan please.
2684  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FREE BITCOIN Sites on: January 11, 2015, 08:52:18 PM
I have a submission Smiley

My faucet is http://bitcoinshowers.com, check it out! We have no popups or anything anoying, our faucet also has an unique and modern design.

The site hardly loads for me. I like that is with flash , but man its loads very hard, and i have 8 mb/s internet.

Imagine those with broadband or modem  Huh

But anyways its a nice site i like the flash effects.

Slow for you? Maybe because I was updating the site at that time, as it loads quite fast for me, 3 seconds of loading time. Anyways, glad you like my sites design!
2685  Other / Meta / Re: Changing motherf&%* avatars on: January 11, 2015, 07:29:08 PM
Last time there were avatars, someone hacked the forum by uploading javascript to the avatar. This happened:

Also, there was a meter saying that your bitcoins were going to be transferred to "CosbyCoins" (I wasn't here when the forum got hacked, but I have read about it.)

There should be avatar uploads in the new forum software, going to be released around February.
2686  Other / Meta / Re: Why Simple Machines forum & not anything else ?. on: January 11, 2015, 07:24:21 PM

Maybe that could be implemented as an April fools joke? Anyways, did you guys catch the hacker, or at least know who he is?

Anyways, I found this picture, it is one of the things the hacker did.

Wait, that actually happened? I thought it was just something in the video that was just put there for humorous reasons (like a montage parody or something).

Yeah that's what actually happened, when users logged in they saw that all over their screen. I wan't here when the forums got hacked, but I found some articles about it.

Maybe that could be implemented as an April fools joke? Anyways, did you guys catch the hacker, or at least know who he is?

I do know who he is, but he didn't cause any permanent damage or steal any user info, so I decided not to go after him. It was just a funny joke.

Oh I see. Wow, that's nice of you. I would be pretty mad if I ran a forum and it got hacked.
2687  Other / Meta / Re: Preventing newbies to start new threads! on: January 11, 2015, 07:19:48 PM
I don't agree with this. There are some honest newbies, remember we all started out as newbies once. However, I do agree that we need to do something about scams, but I do not think this will work. If this becomes a rule, scammers are just going to buy junior member accounts for 0.01 which is relatively cheap.

2689  Other / New forum software / The ability to tag users in your post? on: January 11, 2015, 07:16:22 AM
Would it be a good idea to be able to tag users in a post? For example, if someone typed @Superhitech, I would get an automated PM from a forum bot saying "Superhitech, you have been tagged in post so and so, link." This forum isn't Twitter, but I think it would be a good idea. Comments?
2690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Debating on getting into mining on: January 11, 2015, 07:11:53 AM
Currently you shouldn't mine at home unless it's a hobby, if you are looking to profit don't expect much, as home mining isn't very profitable currently. Instead, invest in a cloud mining site, but make sure that it's a legit cloud mining site, not a ponzi.
2691  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i need help on: January 11, 2015, 07:08:29 AM
Just keep half of them, and try to spent the half other in gambling.
yes, there will always risk in gambling, but who knows?

Don't gamble, instead invest in a gambling site, such as diggit.io or just-dice.com. I personally have never invested, I stay away from gambling sites, but considering the amount of money people lose in gambling, investing in a gambling site seems like a smart idea.
2692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: January 11, 2015, 07:05:51 AM
Bitcoin is better, as the Bitcoin community is bigger, and Bitcoin is more widely used. Also, Bitcoin is worth more than litecoin.

2694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Don't Black People Use Bitcoins? on: January 11, 2015, 04:03:00 AM
Once KFC starts accepting bitcoins, there will be a boom.

Ok seriously, this was one of the weirdest/racist questions I've seen on the forum. Of course they use bitcoins! Satoshi made Bitcoin for everyone! Why do you care if black people use bitcoins or not? Accept everyone.

(I apologize if I offended anyone with the KFC joke)

2696  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Want a google voice number even if you live ouside the US? Your own US phone #! on: January 11, 2015, 01:45:18 AM
I've done something like this a long time ok, worked, but not too great.

Ummmm.... May I ask how this relates to the thread? My Google voice numbers work great, I have many satisfied customers. One customer even replaced his home phone with this number and a Google voice adapter.
2697  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Want a google voice number even if you live ouside the US? Your own US phone #! on: January 11, 2015, 12:44:37 AM

2700  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: My Method To Earn Money With Bitcoin (Multiple Revenue Streams) on: January 10, 2015, 06:57:21 PM
Faucets are a waste of time, not really a point.

If you promote a faucet, and get a lot of referals, then you can get a decent amount from your referal earnings. Also, faucets are good for getting newbies into Bitcoin.
