2681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 22, 2021, 12:30:48 PM
If Donaire can't match Inoue's speed and Inoue improves his timing and power on par with Donaire, I think that we will probably see another win for Inoue if the same fight as the last time happens again.

This is just my personal opinion after watching their first fight, if Donaire can't hit Inoue with those lethal left hooks successively then I think he is bound to lose again in the rematch. Inoue has his orbital bone broken by Donaire so I think he would be careful this time not to commit the same mistake again and adjust so Donaire will not be comfortable in the rematch.

Donaire's advantage here is experience but looking at how Inoue has evolved into a monster, I think this rematch still belongs to the Monster.

Yeah, it's a matter of who will adjust in the next fight, Donaire might go with his lethal left hook early and time Inoue. Or Inoue being careful this time because he knows that Donaire can hurt him as much as the first fight.

And Inoue's is dominant after his win on Donaire, knocking out his opponent. So he has improved a lot and learn from those fights. Very confident and developed into a monster in the ring vs Donaire's resiliency and experience.
But still very different when he faces Donaire again. He knows that Donaire can damage his eye and even if he improved a lot after their first meeting, he might see some glimpse of the first time specially if Donaire can executed his left hook and hit Inoue with force. So Inoue has something to think about going into this fight. Sure he is the favorite, but Donaire wanted to avenge his lost and will look for the famous left hook of his to finish Inoue. Still very close fight in my card.

Inoue will eventually adjust in the rematch, he would not allow Donaire to injured him again, maybe's Inoue's game plan at the start is being aggressive and will end Donaire early, but he was wrong because Donaire had a good counter that has injured him, but if he fights smartly using his quickness, then for sure Donaire would not be able to catch him.
2682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 22, 2021, 11:59:39 AM
^^ Yes, Portis is also a big contributor not just in offense but somewhat when he is inside he can inspire the team, now that's one intangible that you can obviously, can't measure.

For the Phoenix Suns, yes, Paul will not retire, he will still chase that championship ring. He is still healthy but needs to be really be careful. Not sure about those super teams rumors though, it will just tip the balance again. And Bucks proved that you don't need to build one, just one good caliber player in Giannis and then surround with quality supporting and role players.

In an article that I read, Paul said he will be back to work and he will not yet retire, he was already close to achieving his first championship but it didn't happen, so as long as he continues, he will have a chance to win the championship. Suns are a great team, they just need some improvement in the next season.
2683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 21, 2021, 09:54:15 PM
i am a gambler who is not very active (i mean who gambles once or twice a week), i also keep up to date with the latest news on gambling sites and sports news because i like it.  as long as i and maybe not other gamblers make posts on the gambling board and it's still on-topic it's definitely not a problem, right!

As long as you are participating in the discussion, you are definitely on topic.

Besides, not every gambler is really a pro, some are just starting, so discussions would really help them to know about the game and to get some tips to win. Also, as long as we gamble, regularly though not on a daily basis, it's still safe to call ourselves gamblers.
2684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Biggest winning so far on: July 21, 2021, 09:40:38 PM

While I was playing at stake some weeks back, people were making fun of a bronze VIP and I remember the guy in response said a very true thing, he said "being a higher VIP rank only means you have been stupid enough to gamble more", why I am recalling it here is because having a huge bankroll in gambling only means you will lose bigger because more the wager, the bigger the losses.

It is not entirely true, some people gamble more because they enjoyed gambling and they believe they can win. I also have a VIP level in one of the sportsbook and I don't see myself stupid, yes I am not in profit in overall but I don't lose much or higher than what I can afford to lose.
2685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 21, 2021, 01:57:13 PM
I have been addicted until not very long ago. However I have passed it all,no problems for me whatsoever now.How I passed is easy,I just started doing other things after work rather than gambling, like going out for a run, learning a new skill or technology and things like this. Now I have come to a point where I can play when I want and I can stay for months without playing if I feel like it.What I want to say is that all depend on our self at how good we can handle situations like this.

You really are a strong person if you were able to get rid of gambling addiction but unfortunately, many can not do it. Maybe you can advise where to start for those players who have fallen into this trap and can't get out of it on their own?

I am not that strong but I have become one after my daughter was born in March 2020 in the middle of the pandemic.I knew that if I kept gambling I would destroy my family and everything and I thought about her,my daughter.I thought to myself I want to give her a better life than I have had so far (although I have had a really good one until now). This was my motivation and by being able to not play for several months then gambling was not an addiction anymore,so they have to think what they value the most and start from there and interlace with some passions they may have, there is no real other way out of this.

I don't know about you man, but if you feel gambling will ruin your life, then you should stop. I also have children but it never came into my mind to stop gambling because I know I can handle my finances, provide the needs of my family while gambling.
2686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season Champion: Milwaukee Bucks on: July 21, 2021, 01:16:38 PM
Suns fans, it's okay guys, there's still next season, the Suns reach this far but Bucks were the better team. they should keep the roster intact, maybe add some upgrade and hopefully next season they'll be able to compete in the NBA Finals again.

Congratulations to the Bucks, they deserved the win, Giannis was at his best in the NBA finals, he really want to win and prove other people that still has doubt on him, he is not a choker, he is a real star now.
2687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not be able to stay above $30k for 10 consecutive days ever again on: July 20, 2021, 09:03:27 PM
This day was going to come, it was quite obvious. In fact, I think that this fall will continue until the price reaches $25k. But then, I think that everything will start changing. We'll start leaving the bear market behind. And we'll hear the footsteps of a new bull run.

The dump is inevitable, it is bound to happen as correction is really necessary, whatever the reasons behind this fall, we should always think that this is a big correction on the bull runt that we had enjoyed this year. Of course, there's still the possibility that bitcoin will create a new ATH, but I doubt it will surpass the new ATH this year.
2688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 20, 2021, 08:48:08 PM
In the past it could be said that my time was only spent gambling even though I had a regular job, but somehow my days were always filled with gambling. Until finally I got a lot of losses until I decided to stop and unfortunately it didn't last long, because then I got to know online gambling which of course is very fun until now.

I can assume that the lockdown influenced your behavior. Many people, being deprived of the opportunity to lead their usual way of life, acquire some kind of bad habit, which is then difficult to get rid of. Maybe for a start you should replace one addiction with another - a gym or another online game but without risking money?

Gambling is always fun because we are a gambler, but losing money that is already beyond our limit, gambling is not fun anymore, it's already called addiction as we urge ourselves to gamble to win and enjoy without considering the risk of doing it. We should be smart, not everything in this life that we like is always good for us, if we are building problem already, we should stop while it's not big enough yet.
2689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: July 19, 2021, 09:52:19 PM
That just coincidence, try to gamble longer and you'll see you are not winning.

Gambling jokingly is not good, it will defeat the purpose of gambling which is to enjoy and win at the same time, but enjoyment should be emphasized more as we gamblers do not have the edge over the gambling sites, so we better gamble for fun to win.

Maybe you should gamble more, learn from it and always try to improve, and aim to win in the long run. By the way, if you are gambling on games that are luck-based, then I would say it's based on luck only.
2690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 19, 2021, 09:34:23 PM
Actually, Donaire has done that in their first encounter already, but Inoue is just too strong and he was able to survive with that Stamina. Donaire is not the kind of fighter that throughs a lot of jabs, he only throws limited punches looking for good timing that's why he is precise, but if someone is durable and has a good movement inside the right like Inoue, it would not be easy for him. However, I still think it's possible for him to win in the rematch, so let's just watch and enjoy the fight once it will be realized.

That is very true. The outcome of this fight really depends on Inoue on how he trains or wanted to win this fight. If he really wants it then he will win this one because he is the young lion of this division and I just can't see Donaire improve from their first fight and win the rematch because he is on the downhill of his career at the moment.

Good decision of the Donaire camp to go directly to this fight but I wonder if the old man will fulfill his promise to make this fight huh.

If Donaire will lose, then probably he has no reason to fight anymore, unless he wants to just make money and to entertain people. If we compare Inoue to the small fighters that Donaire had KO'd in the past, Inoue is way better, he has the power and speed and some people even say that he could be the next Manny Pacquiao.
2691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 19, 2021, 09:07:47 PM
It's always a right thing to take the best odds if you believe that the fighter you put your bet on will win, no one can see the outcome of the fight in advance, but at least we should be confident with our bet and we should be a real fan so we will have full entertainment while watching the fight.
The expectation we have about the match and our anticipation will force anyone to place a bet especially if you are following the sport and it is difficult to predict who might win on a given day especially in combat sports and if there are huge odds for a fighter and people see value in them they will take that and if more people takes those position then the odds will come down, basically Manny Pacquiao has miles and age and Errol Spence is a young prospect and hence people expect him to use Manny as a launching pad to stardom .

Spence will be so popular if he will successfully beat Pacquiao and put him to retirement, beating a legend is a big achievement, that's why Thurman was still happy despite losing the fight and ruining his undefeated record because he got a chance to fight with the champion. Pacquiao gets older but he still has the power and speed, maybe it was decrease a bit but he sure can win against a strong and taller Spence as he has done that in the past already.
2692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: July 16, 2021, 04:06:12 PM
I dont see for this to be an eas y fight even Rigondeaux isnt really that aggressive but he wont reach out those stats or numbers for nothing. So he shouldnt really be that too confident.

Casimero always likes to do trashtalking which is not typical for a PH boxer. He already trashtalk Naoya Inoue before even there is still no plan they will be fighting each other someday. He even trashtalk a fellow PH boxer.

According to some close people around Casimero, he is a good and kind person in real life. He just feels that whenever he has an upcoming fight, it won't generate good revenue and PPVs so in return, he is marketing himself by creating sounds thru trashtalk.

He can be a valuable boxer and the community will surely watch him, even globally, just by defeating those big names. No need for trashtalk but if that's his style then we can't do something about it. He just needs to prove it in the actual fight.

I also believe for that reason, it's not necessary their boxing life is the same as their normal life. These guys have a personal life as well and most Filipinos especially coming from poverty are humble. He is named "Angas ng Pinas'... I like the name, at least we have someone who is good and a trash taker as well, it's very rare from Filipino boxers.
Filipino or not then i dont like trashtalking kind of behavior even though its intentional or for the sake of marketing or hyping the fight but it do really looks unpleasant for me.
For some this might really just add up some spice for the upcoming fight but i do much appreciate for those boxers that their own fists would do the talk and that is much
more appreciable compared on doing of lots of talks but i do understand on how this business works. So lets deal with it.

Well, everyone has their own opinion, but these boxers understand that selling the fight is very important and since Casimero doesn't have big fights, so he might think being a trash talker will change that. He trashed talk anyone, not only Donaire but he still gets the support of Filipino fans.

Anyway, Casimero had beaten champions, but Rigo is a big one, he has to win convincingly so he'll gain the popularity that he wants.

Based on the record of all his fights including this fight ( https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/421916), Rigondeaux has the best record.
2693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Pundi X - Any store can buy, sell and accept Cryptocurrency on: July 16, 2021, 03:41:49 PM
In April 2021 after the token swap it was trading at $6.50 and in July 2021 it is $1.05

Why am I not surprised by this?

Obviously, we already know the answer, it's just all bout hype, as the bull run is over, this hype token's price will be back to normal and it might go down again. So what would be their next move? Are they planning to make a swap again to increase the supply?

2695  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: July 16, 2021, 12:28:07 PM
There are people who are still hesitant to get vaccinated, eventually, they will be a liability in the long run because when the world is back to normal, people will be required to get vaccinated in order to live a normal life. What I mean is, like we usually do before the pandemic, like going to the malls, be in crowded places, and etc.

The problem is that 70% to 80% vaccination rate is needed to achieve herd immunity. If large sections remain unvaccinated, then the herd immunity can never be achieved. And there is another risk factor as well. If the infection rate doesn't subside, then there is a greater chance of new mutations with the virus. And eventually there will be a mutation which produces a vaccine-resistant strain of the virus. And that will push back all the efforts by two years and if that happens then the vaccines need to be invented yet again.

I know it's possible that we will face a new virus that needs a new vaccine, but let's just stick to the current situation and solve the current problem. The government will play an important role to make things faster and make it compulsory for everyone to get vaccinated, and for sure they'll achieve their target since I believe we don't have any shortage of vaccines since we have a lot of labs in different parts of the world producing it.
2696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Binance too big to fail? on: July 16, 2021, 11:54:25 AM
I often wonder how big it takes to be afraid to fail. Mt.gox was big and it has fallen. We're only talking about crypto. Pay attention to what Bernie Madoff did - after all, he beat the entire wallstreet and a few big banks. You can never be sure what is safe or not.
I agree with that, if we don't think that the biggest exchange could fail, then we are looking at an investment with no risk at all, it would be easy for us to make money which is not happening in the crypto space. We still have to be careful, don't put your investment in one basket, Binance maybe the biggest now, but there's no guarantee they'll remain in the top or will remain in business in the long run.
2697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 16, 2021, 10:36:03 AM
Suns had 2:0 lead, but Milwaukee won two in a row, and tied the score
one more win at home, and situation will be critical for Suns, with one more lose to lose the title

Giannis made the difference in game 3, Middleton in game 4, and Milwaukee has enough players to play their role for game 5, will be interesting

Game 5 is back in Phoenix so as long as Scott Foster isn’t one of the referees I think it looks like a good situation for Phoenix. They’re currently the favorites according to Vegas, and there’s no doubt this is a must win situation for them, so hopefully we get a win and can get a free game 6 chance at the title. I’d rather not see the Suns in a position to lose the series so hopefully this weekend brings some good news.

Good luck on your pick, you bet on them in the series?

The series is tied now and the game is more exciting, but if the Suns will win game 5, then I would say they have a big advantage as they can win road games also as long as they will not make stupid mistakes as they did in game 3.

Vegas sees this as an even match as they are only -4 to -4.5 favorites at home, same odds with Bucks when they played at home.
2698  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: July 16, 2021, 05:42:00 AM
Perhaps he is being influenced by the reports of side effects from vaccinations, some cases can cause death and most recently, the ineffectiveness of some vaccines is a topic of discussion, relatively pessimistic but this is a special period and I also feel scared and don't have too much hope, and to be honest, if he is under strict quarantine, vaccination can be delayed to wait for the most effective vaccines. But when we are already living in the center of the pandemic and vaccination is necessary, we can only accept large-scale vaccination.

This is idiotic behavior. 3.54 billion shots of the vaccine has been administered so far (as per Bloomberg). If the adverse reaction to vaccine was so common, then we would have witnessed more deaths from vaccination, than that from COVID 19. But that is not the case. Out of these billions of shits administered, the total number of deaths stand at three figures (and in most cases, these deaths can be attributed to previously existing medical conditions). There is no basis for giving the excuse of side effects to avoid vaccination.

There are people who are still hesitant to get vaccinated, eventually, they will be a liability in the long run because when the world is back to normal, people will be required to get vaccinated in order to live a normal life. What I mean is, like we usually do before the pandemic, like going to the malls, be in crowded places, and etc.
2699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 16, 2021, 04:57:28 AM
Probably because Chris Paul is also check too by Jrue Holiday. Jrue made a lot of adjustments guarding Chris Paul, he meet him early and pressure him before the mid line and this makes Paul alley hoop somewhat not working anymore as he is contested even with his jump shot. And the thing with Bucks is that they have big men that clogged the middle, with Lopez and Giannis playing at the same time. You can only draw either of the two, so if Ayton draw Lopez out, there's no one to make an alley hoop. And yes, last 2 games, Chris Paul has committed a lot of turnovers, again this is due to the fact of Bucks cutting him at every corners and angles.
Yes, I forgot about that, thanks for the reminder. I tried watching the replay to see what the Suns are really lacking in Game 4. They got the lead but had difficulties stopping the 4th quarter run of the Bucks led by Middleton.
It was mostly turnovers that got them in trouble. They didn't notice is but they already got 17 turnovers before they finish the game while on the other hand the Bucks protected the ball so well they only had 5. Defense is almost identical. 9 blocks for the Suns led by Jae Crowder with 3 steals and 11 steals for the Bucks.
It just means CP3 is not keeping the ball protected if their turnover is higher than their past games. If Suns want to win another game it's just CP3 they needed to be back on high end performance.

Suns are lucky they got Booker going, I'm not sure if Suns can still win a home game in game 5, it's a very critical game for them as the pressure is already on them. If you look at the Bucks scoring, they are improving but on the Suns they are not, especially on Ayton who is not anymore producing points.
2700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 15, 2021, 09:57:53 PM
I think the longer this series draws on, the worse odds the Suns have.  Giannis is getting his wind back and feeling better and better about his knee.  Meanwhile Chris Paul has to be feeling that familiar feeling of his ring slipping away yet again.  While I think it will be nice for them to get back to Phoenix in front of their home crowd, another loss for them might be too much to overcome.  I still think DeAndre Ayton is the deciding factor in this series and if he can grab 15+ rebounds and score 10+ points on >50% shooting then the Bucks are going to have a problem.  We didn't see this in the last 2 games, so I hope we see it in game 5.  The Suns don't get this far if Ayton is putting up numbers like he has the last 2 games.

Ayton's rebounding will stay because he is the only one who takes the rebound being the only big guy in the lineup, however, his points have dropped significantly after a great game 1 performance, and I think he is already checked in by the Bucks and CP3 as well because we didn't see much of that alley-oops anymore.

Have you seen the alley-oop to Ayton from CP3 that was blocked by Giannis?

I think that was cool, Ginnis have read the play and his presence of mind got Ayton.

Ayton has no confidence playing one on one in the inside because he can't succeed against 2 big defenders inside, so the best play is just the one I've mentioned above.
