1681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 13, 2022, 01:18:03 PM
Well well well ....seems that Booker can't handle the heat and tried to knockout Luka out of the comfort zone but little he know that a Slovenian will respond back and double it ...and so he did. Now , imagine if Luka had at least a decent team that could fight for play-offs ...we wouldn't talk about who is going to reach the finals and we would talk about who is gonna face Mavs in the finals as this team with 3 more great players will be unbeatable.
The problem with the Suns is that CP3 is not playing well in the last few games already. His playmaking was there, but his offense and defense is his weakness. Luka as PG of the team can attack CP3 if he would guard Luka, if Mavericks will have a good shooting in game 7, they'll probably win the series.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 13, 2022, 12:56:29 PM
Marcus Smart shouldn't have sit down after that Block from Holiday and he even let that one to be stolen too from him once again. They should have let Tatum get the ball since he was the one that keeping them the leading. They let the Bucks to get the best of them especially on defense and they are nailed in the 90+ zone tbh.

Bolton Celtics is so lazy to recover those lose balls and instead he just hit the ball to get it outside. For me those last rebound during the Giannis missed free throw could be the game changer if they get it. They are always beaten by Bucks when the end game is crucial close game fight. Giannis is unstoppable to get points on those last final minutes but he can't still manage to perfect his free throw though. Bucks is just lucky to have a very strong rebound capability.  Cheesy

That is where the experience pays off the most when it comes to crucial last minute game, almost all of them missed their shots including the Bucks. They are handed with many chances but they repeatedly blow it off especially that part when Giannis missed his free throw and on the last minute, Marcus Smart forced his way despite seeing Brown vacant.
It was smart trying to be smart in that game, but he wasn't actually smart and it cost the Celtics one game, a game that they have to win in order for them to take the lead. Now, the advantage is back on the Bucks as they can finish the series on their home court and be back in the ECF once again.
Yup, two important possession in the last minute have been gone to waste because of Marcus Smart. Nobody knows what's going on in the locker room after they lost that important game, now they are in a dangerous position as the Bucks only needs one game to win in-order to advance in the Semis. That game was so tight and crazy but the Bucks made it.

Both teams made their mistake, it's just that Bucks were lucky in that game as although Giannis missed the last FT, they still grab the offensive rebound and not only that, they also score to lead the game by 1 point. This series is by far the most exciting to watch in the 2nd round, but I think it will end tomorrow.
1683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA _ Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks - 2nd round on: May 13, 2022, 12:27:36 PM
This series has really become about home court advantage. There is still a lot of time in the second half but I already stopped watching after Suns trailed by as many as 20 points. I'm still rooting for the Suns to wrap it up but that's unlikely to happen in Dallas. See you in game 7. I expect that to be more physical and intense.

Finally, a game 7 from this NBA season's playoffs would be amazing to watch because every move and decision matters in that crucial game. I wonder how will the Phoenix Suns survive this since even though their players are complete, they still lack something when Luka and the Mavs are playing well. Since this is the playoffs anything could happen and most likely it would be an unexpected turn of events. nevertheless, we thank both teams for giving us such good games to watch that we will gonna missed after the NBA championship games.
I think Suns will still win, however, I have a feeling that the game 7 will be a close game and therefore Suns will not be able to cover the spread. They played well on their respective home court this series, but game 7 is the last game, so they have to give everything they have.
1684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Women's participation into cryptospace - Increased? on: May 13, 2022, 12:21:49 PM
It is literally to see that many people are having an interest in crypto space, rich and poor, men and women are already involved in this.
This is the result of an increase in crypto promotions circulated online and on social media. More and more people already know about crypto and this seems a good development to see. As the days keep running, we are able to see that even young adults are already investing in Bitcoin. This we called an indication for a bigger adoption in the future.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree ETH have become seen as less risk asset over BTC? on: May 13, 2022, 11:51:59 AM
Bitcoin has been known for its volatility rate compared to ETH which makes it high risk but if we talk about long-term asset value, ETH is way too far from it. But this is not how we measure the risk in the market as this does not really matter, investors and traders look for potential profit out from the volatile nature of the market in which Bitcoin does more than ETH.

If I were to choose which one I have to put my money with, of course, I choose Bitcoin. We look for the future possible increase of BTC which I believe was the reason why many choose Bitcoin as well over Ethereum.

1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin is good to invest in right into? on: May 12, 2022, 11:49:15 PM
What do you think is the most promising coin right now for investment?
I suggest for you to visit this https://coinmarketcap.com/ as it would help you to decide which one.
Of course, I recommend old and reliable projects, not those hyped projects because, in this market condition, the only projects that have a huge chance to survive are those that have been built with purpose and are useful to the market. If you can check the last bear season, many new projects have been outcast and become dead, which can also happen at this time.
1687  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t rush to buy Bitcoin on: May 12, 2022, 11:25:29 PM
Have the right timing, the market is very unstable and yes the price can drop again, honestly there’s no bottom yet and every drop is still possible to happen. Though I don’t have much buying power, so If I think the price is already cheap and good to buy, better for me to execute it right away. Waiting can be more challenging, you might miss the opportunity because of too much waiting.
Unfortunately, you can't fight the right timing if we keep thinking more drops or more pumps. What I mean is that if we think this is about a good price to buy then have to do it, nor to think we have to wait for the price to even drop more as we know we can predict for the incoming change.

I bought Bitcoin at $30k, not that it is going deeper, then I buy more. Probably we're not yet reached the bottom but I don't think it was a smart idea to wait for that as "what if it never happens" and we miss the trend.
1688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 12, 2022, 12:27:52 PM
Grizzlies has good team chemistry tbh, wherein, even there's no ja morant on the game they can still play and dominates their opponents.
No question about that because they have a better record compared to the warriors in the regular season, reason they owned the home court advantage in this series.

And for me it's not because of the venue, i mean home court or away because indeed it's very clear on the records that this season the team has good performance specially the first 5.
They can win on the road for sure, but they have not beat the Warriors yet on the road, so I would not trust them to win in game 6.
1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 12, 2022, 11:31:57 AM
Bucks defense and second chance points from their offensive rebounds made the come from behind win possible. They should also thank Marcus (not so) Smart Grin Bucks will end this in 6 but goodluck to those who still think Celtics will force a game 7.
I thought Celtics would already win because they were controlling the game, but suddenly they allow the Bucks to come back and Celitcs forgot how to defend. Bucks showed there the heart of a champion, it wasn't only Giannis who work, holiday and Portis did their job and Pat Connaughton showed some consistency on his 3 point shooting and defense as well.

Grizzlies vs. Warriors just started. GSW should be able to finish the job in 5.

They failed to do that, they lose by a huge margin. It was a blowout win by the Memphis.
1690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven??? on: May 11, 2022, 11:27:47 PM
Surely you can call Bitcoin a safe haven once you have cashed out your millions.
Yeah, until your money is in crypto we can't say we are safe, volatility still striking, and up and down scenarios are quiet to see very often.
We can just sleep well if our money is already in our hands. However, this is not the mindset of the investors, these people risk their money and spend time in crypto even though they know it was not a safe haven and guarantee assurance but then, they still believe that they will get a profit from them.

no risk = no rewards
high risk = high rewards
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: May 11, 2022, 11:00:31 PM
~
Well people here in my country racking up their SLP are kind of not hyped right now considering that we are also in the bearish market right now. It has indeed slow down, but who knows if the hype would continue.
It is still a "trend" considering that there is still yet another crypto terminology to be hyped soon surely.
We'll know for sure if the hype is going to continue after Bitcoin recovers.
With the current market condition, we can never expect such hype anymore, maybe soon after this bear.
But what I see these NFT projects including SLP, their trend is getting worse, prices went declining even before the bear trend. That I would say their trend is likely over and metaverses taking over it however, it was still believed that some of them have the potential than these metaverses projects which we could think they will still survive despite the difficult situation we may face.
1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 11, 2022, 02:34:17 PM

The good thing about Magsayo is that he is not into talking or getting in someone's to destroy his psyche, he just let his actions do the talking instead of having so much exposure and underestimating his opponents. This time he is against a Mexican boxer who also didn't tasted any loss in his whole career, Magsayo surely knows the gravity of what Vargas can do especially that the latter have that height and reach advantage.

For me, this is just another good matchup for him and since he is now fighting in the US, he needs to consider working hard and he needs to beat the like of Vargas in an easy way but we all know that it would not be the case if he struggled to beat his last opponent with injury. Who knows maybe he already improved after that because it's just some kind of unexpected turn of events when he was expected to win easily with his opponent suffering from an arm injury. Right now he needs to wake up and use every fight as an opportunity to showcase his skills and how strong he is.
That should be the correct mindset for any boxers specially Filipinos who are reeling from the retirement of Manny Pacquiao. Manny has set the blue print already it's just a matter of time boxers like Magsayo following his footsteps for greatness. So not to underestimate any of his opponents and on the contrary focuses on training and doing the hard work.

Pacquaio is the inspiration of Filipino boxers so for sure those existing champions are trying to reach what he achieve on his career and its good that there are so many potential Filipino fighters that can possibly reached up on what he reached on his career and what Magsayo needs to do is to finish this fight in impressive way so that he can catch the attention of global crowds and get more hype under his name to get more bigger match.

A huge inspiration because he is the most successful boxer in the Philippine history. Magsayo works with Pacman promotion until now if I'm not mistaken,  so he will get the best advise from the legend, and since Pacman loss in the election, he will have more time in the sports now.
1693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 11, 2022, 12:16:15 PM
The round 4 match of GSW and Grizzlies will be tomorrow I think the GSW will going to end it and won't let the Memphis get another win against them. My parlay against Heat and Suns was really good as they both win the game today, do you think my bet for GSW tomorrow will be a good call? I am not that fan of basketball but I am a fan of GSW.
Game 5. Yes, they might try to win it. But this may end up in a close game as the Grizzlies will give their best to prolong this series, so -4.5 for GSW might be a risky bet. Moneyline sounds better to me and parlay it with another. If you are a risk-taker though (like me) I'll take the -5.5. Low chance, high profits. Smiley

Without Ja Morant, I think GSW will end the series tomorrow as they want to have rest as much as possible in preparation for the next match against Suns/Mavs. I agree with you that this might be a close fight but there's still a chance that they will allow already the gap if GSW will have an early huge lead during the first half. Ja Morany is what carrying Grizzlie all the way and he will be unlikely coming back on playoffs. I guess this is over for them.

Actually, Warriors played better without Ja Morant. Look at game 4, it was Memphis who were leading in the game, Warriors just made a huge surge in the 4th quarter so they won, but in game 3, Ja Morant was the leading scoring and his teammates are just living in his shadow, so they are less effective.
1694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 11, 2022, 11:48:37 AM
Actually, php 420k is very low compared to what Greg could earn if he plays abroad. And considering the status of NP in the PBA, they are not a championship team so Greg would not be receiving bonuses unlike other teams like Ginebra, TNT, Magnolia or SMB who have a decent chance of winning a championship.

If he can get other offer outside the country, then it's good for him, he's not tied to any obligation here and he can simply packed his bag and fly to whatever destination the offer can be, but, there's no update yet if someone from oversea who wanted his service, he's stuck within the league and the max offer a player can earn here is 420k that is what the league rules.

Those important things that you mentioned about bonuses are things that Gregg enjoyed when he still playing at Ginebra, perks that really give him additional bonuses in which he can't have while wearing NP's uniform.

The way I saw it, Greg Slaughter would be okay if he received that 420K max contract that the NorthPort team has said they offer to him but seeing in one article that what he received is far less from what is stipulated on the contract so someone must be lying here and i think there are two documents that Greg must have signed hehe. Check this article and see if you believe in this.

Quote
Two days ago, free agent Greg Slaughter broke that unwritten code by asserting via a comment on a SPIN.ph story that the "max offer" of P420,000 a month which he supposedly demanded was "not even close to what NorthPort was already paying me."

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/column-leave-the-pba-now-greg-slaughter-a2244-20220511?ref=home_hybrid_2

I hope Greg will be able to find a team to sign him as he is fun to watch, and the North Port have really improved with Greg playing as the center. Due to the inflation now, I think the max salary of a player has to be reviewed already as I think it has not increased for many years already.
1695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 10, 2022, 02:20:34 PM
This is a perfect time to start investing in crypto. I encourage people to make their way into the crypto world while the market is in a downtrend.
But on the other side, I'd just hoped that early investors and those who bought coins during the ATH will still be able to control their weaknesses and not get tempted to sell for the sake of not helping the market get worse.

Many predictions arise and we mostly hear negative thoughts from different corners. It is eventually what the reality we have now and not to argue that 2022 is a bear season.
1696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is it all about? on: May 10, 2022, 01:20:58 PM
I have been trying to figure this out, how does one create cold storage? Or do any crypto wallets have this cold storage? Why are most people advising others to go cold storage?
Because you can't underestimate how these hackers work over the internet these days and that is why they advise people to keep their wallets safe as Cold wallet is an offline wallet where it was far from getting hacked.
You can check the definition itself.
https://cryptoadventure.com/a-beginners-guide-on-cold-storage-wallet/

But of course, that was a little bit expensive. However, if you want security assurance and if you have a lot of Bitcoin, you'd better acquire this stuff in order for you to sleep well and not think that one day all of your money is gone.

1697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A time people have been waiting for bitcoin to drop on: May 09, 2022, 09:35:04 PM
Honestly, sooner or later we could a lot of people saying they miss the chance of buying Bitcoin at the current price. As to why that many are not buying yet thinking that the price will drop more and more. The same sentiment I'd seen last time. I know that many can afford to buy Bitcoin at $32,000 but they are preferred to but at $35,000. The funny thing is that the majority won't buy during a major correction as they want to buy during Bullrun, they are short-term and impatient investors.
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 09, 2022, 01:46:48 PM
He is too arrogant, he is not even Lebron, now that he is out, expect another easy win by the Warriors.

LOL, can't blame the guy, that's his attitude, so just accept it.

You can hate Morant's attitude but not his talent, he has carried his team in this series but unfortunately he was injured and will not be able to play an important game which they need to even the series. If Warriors takes game tomorrow, it will likely end 4-1.

Morant might just rest 1 game and will play game 5, but even if Morant is playing, Warriors are still capable of beating them.
1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celtics vs Bucks 2nd round Series. on: May 09, 2022, 01:26:43 PM
The bottom line, although Bucks won and lead to a 2-1 advantage, Game 3 is a close game. The Celtics will surely try to bounce back obviously now that they know that even though Giannis is making 40+ points, they are not that behind in the total score.

I think they should focus on limiting the points from Giannis because although the final score was close, Bucks dominated before the final quarter. if they want to win, they have to start strong, and Tatum should make his points as he usually do, he cannot be limited like what happen in game 3.

It's really hard to stop Giannis, he seems to be evolving as well, improved his assists per game. What is missing from Celtics last game is Jayson Tatum, not sure if he has been limited by the defense or he just had a bad game. So yeah, he needs to step up again and show that he is the leader of Celtics just like he did against the Nets series.

Still Bucks here, I trust them because they are playing at home and they have already proven by beating the Celtics twice already. Celtics is a good team but they don't have the best player in the NBA now. Honestly, after all the games I witnessed, I like to see the 76ers vs Bucks in the ECF, it's MVP candidate vs another MVP candidate.

Giannis vs Embiid. such a great match up.
1700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half way to next Halving reached on: May 06, 2022, 02:11:02 PM

We know that it's all about moon after it happens and that's why people are telling everyone that they have to accumulate as much as they can before it happens. But not until they see the price have grown a lot, they'll just start to buy it again when it's already at the ceiling.
That is certainly what we expect for the new ATH.
That is why I'll the chance of buying more coins these days as the prices are cheap as going to believe that prices may be doubled or even triple during the next halving. And to see Bitcoin reach $100k is near possible as last Bullrun and ATH we reach $70k. I would assume that the majority had already made their plan while we are in the bearish moment life of crypto. This may not be going to last longer and so we don't take this current situation for granted.
