2701  Economy / Economics / Re: PEOPLE DURING THE PANDEMIC. on: January 24, 2022, 03:47:09 PM
Covid was the main reason why crypto bull season lasted this long, the exposure was massive and many money got pumped into crypto, the worth of cryptocurrency is finally acknowledge by more humans which is good but we all know what bear season is capable of, every new projects will slow down only traders won't be greatly affected.
I agree, I think that being locked up and looking for ways to make money while at home might've made people curious and try out crypto because times are tough and most of these people are out of job. Hopefully this season isn't going to end when the pandemic finally ends and I can see a bright light that it won't because there are countries that have been pandemic free for awhile and the prices albeit dumping, still doing just fine.
During the pandemic people got locked into the home. This has made people think wise and start different businesses, and by the same time many have undergone depression out of loneliness, financial issues. Somehow people have crossed different waves of pandemic. During the same time period more people learned online activities much than cryptocurrency. This has made people to survive even if the pandemic and lockdown scenario continue for longer time.
2702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: January 24, 2022, 02:44:57 PM
Maybe if El Salvador have decided to sell, then we can say that the country have added more debt to it. Now they use the dip as an opportunity and adding more to the holding. Everyone were speculating the adoption by El Salvador, but very few have spoken about the negative part of the adoption. As El Salvador is a small country, even the fund spend on buying Bitcoin will constitute a big portion. So, the market crashes will also make some disturbance on the economic situation of the country. As the market will recover, El Salvador can use bitcoin as a tool to improve its economy in the long term.
2703  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: January 24, 2022, 01:35:00 PM
People overestimate the market when they're new to the market. This means when they hear it from someone else and make their first entry into cryptocurrency. Here the over exaggeration sometimes make people think beyond the market potential. Here some have turned successful, some loss out of the miscalculation.

In my view these are just price predictions. Some use technical elements to analyse the market whereas the people who doesn't have much about the technical features just does the prediction in a random manner.

India is seriously missing Rohit who could changed the results of some of these matches since Rahul is clearly out of form recently. Players like Pant keep letting the team down again and again consistently.

The team is actually depending way more on lower order batsman like Thakur, Chahar etc in recent times which says a lot. This particular South African team keeps impressing me.

It is strange that you are blaming Pant. Actually he did much better than the other batsmen. Scored a total of 101 runs from three matches and let's not forget the fact that he is the keeper as well. Rohit would have made a difference? I don't know, because Shikhar Dhawan was also in good touch as the opener (169 runs from 3 matches). KL Rahul failed, both as a captain and as a batsman. A lot was expected from Shreyas Iyer, but he couldn't live up to those expectations. But I would say that the batsmen did more or less OK. It was the bowlers who failed - especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin.
More or less batsmen did some contribution. From the bowlers end there is big lagging. Also sometimes at the time of need the batsmen doesn't perform, one such has happened with pant in the last ODI. Since 2020 in ODI matches the wicket fall of opponent was after 100+ runs. In an ODI against Australia Indian bowlers marked the worst, unable to take a single wicket scoring 258 runs batting second. From there atleast Indian bowlers should've made changes in the play, but nothing big has changed.
2705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 24, 2022, 08:26:30 AM
That's really a big match for England. For 98 runs West Indies have lost 8 wickets. This means almost the win is confirmed for England, but Hosein made it his day and create big pressure for England. If this could've been won by West Indies then the England cricket fans would've made big criticism against the team. Anyhow even without taking more wickets somehow restricted West Indies at 170 runs ending the innings.
England won this Match by 1 run only and who would have thought that west indies will get so close to the target after they were 8 wickets down for only 98 runs.
Thanks to akiel husain, what an innings he played no one expected that , 3 consecutive sixes of last 3 balls was amazing hitting.
The last over was completely a match turning. Required 30 runs out of 6 balls. First ball a wide, and the reball didn't bring a run. Second ball went for a four, third one again a four. Fourth ball once again a wide. Rest three went into sixes. The bowler might've experienced the peak pressure during the entire over.

2707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I invested $100 for 18 years for my new born nephew on: January 24, 2022, 03:52:57 AM
Congratulations to your brother and he's got a caring brother as well. That's around 0.0028BTC that you've purchased for the future of the baby. Let's do some math.

If bitcoin goes $1M, just for the sake of argument by that time frame you've set then 0.0028BTC = $2,800. Is that going to be enough for the college's education of the baby? Maybe it does if cost of living there isn't that expensive but with inflation year by year, maybe not.

And just do the math for another $1M increase.

But anyway, from what country are you? Working as a security guard that earns around $90 per month is low.
Yes $90 is really low to be a security guard. Another thing when the salary is paid low, atleast the government can provide education and healthcare free of cost. This will give the citizens peace of mind.

Anyhow the step taken to support the kids education is really appreciable. We don't know what will be the price of bitcoin after years. However we can't expect very big, because anything beyond certain price doesn't looks like a fair growth. Lets hope it'll help with the education and the guy has planned to teach him earlier about cryptocurrencies. Maybe that can help him make some extra money to fulfill his career dreams.

Today aabb123123 guy won over 7 tickets so far but Eddie has done an awesome job with separating our tickets vs tickets won by Aabb123 user. Non aabb123 tickets have been won by 10 lucky Stakers, it is far at this point for both sides since no one can restrict his winnings due to wagering more than anyone else.

Guy wagered 1 billion in 22 hours, guess he will have enough with more than 1 million in weekly bonus.
Ofc big weekly expected for such wager.

My question is this.... What happens when a Highroller like that wins say 1 Billion Dollars and they want to cash out? A site like Stake or any other average size casino, does not have a Bankroll like that to payout 1 Billion Dollars.... and even if they do, it will bankrupt them.  Roll Eyes

The possible consequences for the rest of us, will be a drastic increase in the RTP to recover that size payouts and we will suffer major losses if they do that.  Roll Eyes

Paying almost $100 000 extra to him/her alone for the Weekly Giveaway must also hurt Stake's operating budget, if you take all the other expenses they have to pay.  Shocked
Count his losses too, since his average bet size is around $150k single loss streak will cover his weekly. And house edge will make him lose in the long run. I doubt his bets will make bankrupt casino.
Not really, if you watch the series of bets made by him. It is quite obvious that the spending gets compromised with the wins and not big win is taken back. Its very rare to see gambling platforms go bankrupt through such incidents and that too with Stake it won't happen. His bet size is quite big, but his winning will not be that big in my view. For now he'll be making good money out of the bonuses.
2709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your thoughts about online casino vs.physical casino on: January 23, 2022, 05:38:39 PM
In fact, the citizens of many countries have no choice because of the laws and so they have nothing to do but play online casinos. I would prefer to play in a real casino with friends as the only way to get real pleasure from the game but it is impossible because the specially designated gambling zone is too far from my locality.
For different reasons people prefer online as well as offline casinos. Once after the pandemic the usage of online casinos have increased alot. These days online casinos were trying the best to give the real-time experience of being in a physical casino. Anyhow that isn't possible, but to some extent through the technology this is taking effect. Maybe the next level of VR usage will fulfill it.
2710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 23, 2022, 04:06:46 PM

Dhawan have given good start and the same is being continued by the performance of Kohli. The winning percentage of India has increased to 57% and the next two wickets is much important for South Africa to turn the match towards their side. As of now 138 runs required from 123 balls with 7 wickets left. This looks like a winning match for India.

The game is very much balanced now as India need 120 runs in 17 overs. Good thing for SA is that kohli is gone and India now has 6 wickets left. One or two wicket here may tilt the game towards SA. India need runs and don't wanna lose anymore wicket.
I doubt that India is well poised in this situation. India has already lost 4 wickets and if you remember the previous games this team batting order have collapsed. I am sure it will be the same this time unless someone from the lower middle order does something thing different. After this tournament one thing is sure KL Rahul will lose his job as a captain.
Agreed, Rahul will surely be taken from the captaincy position. This time India got an opportunity, but they weren't able to make use of it. India had a good start and then the players played, but they weren't upto the level required to win the match. Now India have just 4 wickets remaining and 57 runs to be scored. Chahar and Yadav are in the crease, the batting order have come to an end.
2711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 23, 2022, 03:09:20 PM
The current score of India is 101-1 in 18.4 overs and virat and dhawan are looking pretty good again but today I believe India will chase this target down. Expecting a big innings from virat kohli today. He is betting at 35 but looking very comfortable right now. Dhawan also looking good for a century.

Dhawan is gone after playing his part of 61 runs. Now Pant is there with settled batsman Kohli. India are no doubt favorite at the moment but they should not relax as they still need 170 runs on 162 balls. SA need to get rid of kohli as soon as possible to win the match else it will be impossible to win the game.

2712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: January 23, 2022, 01:25:13 PM
As per the ongoing market trend, almost every altcoin is in the dip. Most of the altcoins on the top list of coinmarketcap will give assured return in the long term. This means those are low risk altcoin investment. Apart from that I prefer investing on altcoins like Terra, mina, trust token, utrust. These altcoins have proven record, but these aren't that good as those on the top. If lucky these altcoins could get us big return out of the capital.
2713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 23, 2022, 01:16:35 PM
After taking the decision to retire from Test Cricket Quinton de Kock is in exceptional form in the ODI and he score a century in this match and they reached a total of 287 runs and it is going to be a huge task for the India batsman to reach the target. It all depends upon how the openers will perform as the middle order is the weakest and if the openers give a good opening, then there is chance they could chase this total.
287 is the score that India scored in the previous ODI. South Africa reached the target with 11 balls left losing just 3 wickets. This means it is an reachable score. Based on the openers performance the match can be determined. Also if the openers give a good start, the same needs to be carried forward or else the scoring gets disturbed. This could increase the pressure on the match end. Anyhow India will be under pressure to mark atleast a win in South Africa.
2714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: January 23, 2022, 11:45:18 AM
Entire market is experiencing it's downtime, and the market may drop down even further or this could move upwards. Right now new users who entered the market last year will be now experiencing the bad time of the market. As some users predicted the price could turn bullish and then might drop down to the present low price.

Everytime the price drop, people panic to invest. People were speculating much about the market to be bullish, but this hasn't happened. This looks like the price of bitcoin is moving same as that happened once after the previous bull market of 2017-2018. Once after the bullish move, people were with much expectation and the market crashed. Now similar move is happening. For this reason there is more chance of gradual decline in the market for long term.
2715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does Russia's bank move imply for Ethereum 2.0? on: January 23, 2022, 10:45:11 AM
There is more news associated with cryptocurrency ban years back, but Russia didn't make anything perfect in terms of regulation, adoption and acceptance. This is the very first time Russian government is making plans for the ban over the mining of cryptocurrency. As of now the market is in the decline for various reasons. This can be a correction, and there were more news similar to the ban from different countries. So, Russia's plan won't make a big impact on the market.
2716  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $34k the bottom?? on: January 23, 2022, 09:42:37 AM
The price that went around $34500 as the low bottom have recovered today reaching $36000. This is something like a massive price correction. More technical elements show the market to be bearish for some time period. However there is also possible chances of bullish market, but this won't be a immediate one. The selling pressure of Bitcoin have reached its high ever since 2020 March. This will also have its impact over the market.
2717  Economy / Economics / Re: The Russian economy is on the verge of collapse. What to expect? on: January 23, 2022, 06:45:58 AM
Long back itself the economic situation of Russia isn't that good. However the economy won't explode soon, and as per my understanding now the business out of weapon sales have declined a lot. Now Russia is on the urge of taking control over Ukraine. The borders were with both the country troops even after gaining more warnings from the US and Western Nations.
2718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why is Cryptocurrency not as easy in Pakistan as in other countries on: January 23, 2022, 04:17:45 AM
The stand Pakistan have taken in accordance with the cryptocurrency transactions were very severe. Because, the authorities like State Bank of Pakistan have argued against the legal status of bitcoin usage in the country. In this they've mentioned the cryptocurrency will never be allowed for the purpose of trade as well. More countries like India, Russia are all on the same category, to make regulations on usage. However this time India hasn't made any big news in it. When something gets blocked always there arise a path. That is how people from these countries keep using cryptocurrencies.

Pakistan’s central bank wants to ban crypto
2719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tonga is now accepting Bitcoin donations amid tsunami on: January 23, 2022, 03:23:18 AM
This is a great lesson for many countries that are not yet taking into account the development of BTC and the ease of moving money from one place to another, if this is not taken advantage of by countries to make BTC a legal tender like "El Salvador" does it, I think it will be more difficult to introduce it politically and with regulations, as many are doing, I think Tonga is a prime candidate to become a country that accepts BTC in its economic ranks, I think that the third world countries would be the ideal lifeline, the best thing about this news is that I know that the demand for BTC will increase.

Small countries always tend to grow further, but in my view it needs to develop its infrastructure through all possible sources. Very few country are strong in its economic growth, whereas the majority small countries are in its path to push themselves high. By the time making bitcoin a legal tender is good, but something like the ongoing crash will truly make a big impact over the country's situation. So, it should always have a backup plan as alternate to the bitcoin acceptance.
2720  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 22, 2022, 06:19:10 PM
If you truly, honestly believe in crypto and its future, then any time you buy crypto is the right time (and when I say future, I mean long time future, not the imminent future). Other than that, no one can give you an exact answer because it differs from person to person. Don't look at this forum as a place where someone will tell you what to do, but rather a place where you can gather information and useful knowledge that will help you determine what's the best thing for you as an investor is.
The market is an uncertain one compared with the stocks and other world market commodities. The crypto market is built over trust, and for the reason it is high risk involved. You trust and invest, and it doesn't assure with the profit within any deadline. Everything is long-term focused and not everyone were able to have such patience and believe looking upon the market fluctuation. If someone has experienced good profit out of the fluctuation, then the user will intend to invest unlike the market trend.

As mentioned every investment is subject to risk, same is with crypto market. And it is upto the individual to analyse and take decision whether to invest by now or later.
