On a side note, all rules were basically written by Sirius who hasn't been an admin for about 5 years. Inactive since 2014 as well...post wise. Strange little bit of history as we started discussing rules involving illegal things. Sirius also thought that facilitating drug sales was also just about bad reputation, not being extremely illegal. Guess that was before DPR and SR days...

Advertising an illegal product is something that could mean the forum is breaking the law. Someone claiming to have been blackmailed doesn't put the forum in any position and it has no need to investigate or take sides.
2702  Other / Meta / Re: How to report Member, not post? on: August 03, 2018, 06:04:57 AM
There's actually 33 specific rules of the forum, you can read them in this subforum actually. As you're concerned with multiple threads, which are not duplicates and have different topics of discussion based on where they are located, you may want to refresh yourself with the rules.

So are you saying they choose to ignore all the other rules that aren't about post duplication and things of a spam nature?

No, I'm saying that's the main purpose of moderation.
I am very familiar with the rules. If you think that any post or PM this person has made breaks one of the rules then report them. Again don't expect them to get involved in your dispute over a campaign payment, that's nothing to do with the forum.
As for allegations of illegal activity that should be for law enforcement to determine.
2703  Other / Meta / Re: How to report Member, not post? on: August 03, 2018, 05:56:42 AM
but...isn't it their job to enforce the rules? LOL?? Isn't that why they are staff/moderators? LOL? They get a report about a duplicate poster, they investigate it, then take action against that person for duplicate posting... Uh, so what are you even saying lol. They just pick and choose what rules to follow?

It's their job to keep the forum free from spam not to get involved with personal disputes between members. People like you posting multiple threads about the same thing for example would be something for them. Someone having an issue with a campaign manager isn't. It is very simple to understand and two staff members have already told you.
2704  Other / Meta / Re: How to report Member, not post? on: August 03, 2018, 05:44:06 AM
Why do police reports need to be filed like that lol and mods can't just follow the rules?

Because....

The forum will not act as judge and jury.

It's not their job to investigate and make a decision. You've been told over and over.
2705  Other / Meta / Re: How to report Member, not post? on: August 03, 2018, 05:26:58 AM
Filing a police report would not be a problem, but why must it go that far?

Because that's the proper course of action as staff member Flying Hellfish told you above. The forum will not act as judge and jury. If the forum was contacted by law enforcement seeking evidence that's the point they would get involved not because of your refusal to listen to all the people telling you that's how it works.

Sorry, did not understand that. What is 1%?
Also, do I need at least 0.00001000 BTC to be eligible to "Multiply bonus account"? Because I have more than that and can't find the option to bonus account...

It means that the amount of bonus you are eligible for is 1% of the amount you have wagered since the last bonus you took. So if you place 1 BTC in bets you would be eligible to claim a 0.01 BTC bonus. It will not show any bonus available until you get to the minimum of 0.00001000 BTC by wagering 0.00100000 BTC.

Last question (promise, won't keep bothering): sometimes I see "free" on the Roll History, what is that?

That means it was a free-roll from the faucet, ie. when you roll from the FREE BTC page. You're not bothering, you're a pleasant change from the trolls I usually have to deal with.  Wink
2707  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 02, 2018, 05:04:57 PM
Now, what amount do I need to have on my account to be eligible to that mutiply bonus again?

Thank you so much for replying!

You're welcome.
It's 1% of wagered amount, so it will start adding up when you play again. Minimum bonus is 0.00001000 BTC.

@babygun Thanks for changing the subject.

I dunno, I had an autobet at 0.01x for 100 times to see what I'd get and lost three times in those rolls Sad - two times were in a row also.

It is explained here.
https://steemit.com/gambling/@seuntjie/why-botting-doesn-t-work-at-casinos

Everytime you rollover an amount of coin the expectation is that you will lose the house edge percentage. So if you keep doing that over and over you will end up with zero.

In practice there is of course a lot of variance. You stand a better chance of having a large positive variance by keeping the number of bets lower. Larger sample sizes always trend towards the expected value.
2709  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 02, 2018, 03:31:51 PM
Damn, does anyone had Multiply BTC issues today? Something weird happened, I was playing some auto bet (no scripts, nothing shady, not many rounds) and had a Bonus Account active. I just did the math and I lost around 0,01205651. What is weird is that I had this amount on my Bonus Account, however, it was deducted both from Bonus Account AND regular account...

It will only deduct from the main account after the bonus account is empty. You might want to go back and check the numbers again. Make sure you refresh the page first to make sure all the bets are displayed on the roll history. Sometimes your network connection can stop that updating live and skip bets being shown.

Yep ignoring him will be the way forward. Any news on the rebrand? I think we are all curious to see a sneak peak of the new version Wink

The last I heard it is scheduled for towards the end of the year. We've been very busy with bot control measures recently and these have to take priority unfortunately. We're also working on something else new before the rebrand work starts. I've been looking forward to announcing that but the back-end development still needs to be done first.

Did anyone

figure out what his angle is?

Simple. It's a dodgy dice script designed to maximise his referral income by rolling over the same coin as many times as possible. Which of course means the house edge has a far bigger negative impact than otherwise.

we will just continue our journey with Freebitco.in and add him to our

"ignore" list for a much better forum experience.  Wink

That's definitely the best option. wetsuit did that as soon as the idiot turned up.

He'll probably get himself banned for trolling eventually. He's already given the moderators a lot of work to do by spamming these threads about his service. I'm sure their patience will run out and the ban hammer will come down.

Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
2. No off-topic posts.
3. No trolling.
22. Advertising (this includes mining pools, gambling services, exchanges, shops, etc.) in others threads' is no longer allowed, including, but not limited to, in altcoin announcement threads.

So let's try and get back on topic and not talk about the idiot anymore.

Edit: for grammar.

Can someone explain to me

Read this thread: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images (or at least the opening post of it).
2713  Other / Meta / Re: Is managing an official account as well as my own count towards alt accounts? on: August 02, 2018, 09:49:32 AM
Okay, another question: why is my (kryptqnick's) reputation at stake, if my job is to manage social networks for an ICO?

That's a difficult question to answer because everyone will have their own opinions and everyone can leave a trust rating based on that opinion. If someone thinks that you should have seen that something was a scam but continued to promote it they might think you are untrustworthy.

@TheQuin, is there any historical data from last month as to how the tables were doing within the first day (I can't work out if the uptake is higher or lower, i think it's higher)? I wonder what we'll end up with overall.

No there isn't, but from memory, it got off to a slow start last month. The 4th July holiday period is always quiet and it didn't pick up until the second week. I think the numbers after one day this month are similar to after about 4 days last month.
2715  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 02, 2018, 06:48:58 AM
Lol would the troll even know what a ponzi/pyramid scheme is?
This is getting better with every post  Grin.

As you obviously don't are a fan of freebitco.in and you don't make any profit, why don't you move to another topic to troll there? Then you can piss off some other people. I am sure that everyone, including you, would be happy by making this move.

It's common. When u got success there is always few people to make troll of u. He maybe faced some loss here. And making troll here. He should stop here and move on other place.

I know tolls are tedious, that's because trolling is an infantile and pointless thing to do. How long it takes the troll to work that out is inversely proportional to their intelligence level. At least the level of stupidity in this one is entertaining. I'm not entirely sure which is funnier, the shit he comes out with or the fact he doesn't see that everyone is laughing at him.
2716  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 01, 2018, 06:58:14 PM
OK!! I believe you tickets get reset every sunday but so as you know I have zero referrals. All I wanted to say boil down to my tickets got reset last sunday only not before. Maybe it was system error or whatever. I had expected better explanation but anyway thanks for your time...

There wasn't an error. Did you gamble more?

Yes I often use Multiply BTC. From what I conclude the only thing I did different this time was to use lottery bonus. Maybe that became prerequisite for my participating in that week's lottery and at week end my tickets got zero.

If you used lottery bonus you would have obviously received more lottery tickets than when you didn't. I'm baffled how you can't understand that when the winners of a weekly lottery are drawn the next weeks lottery begins and everyone starts with 0 tickets.

It does work. 99.9% of the times I've had this support issue the email is in the user's junk mail folder.

Why would I edit it?  I wrote it for all to read.  Contrary to how you seem to think things work,  I dont type things in public to HIDE them.  I do it for the complete opposite reasons.

The forum displays the edit time when you hover over the post time. Everyone can see that you edited most of your post to say something different after I answered them. As to why and imbecile does things only the imbecile can be sure.

Edit: Although you do get a ten minute grace period to do what you just did and another sentence to your post without the forum showing the edit time.

Edit 2:

BTW,  I dont edit to change ideas on things.  I edit to ADD things or correct grammar, run on sentences, etc.  That is what editing is for.  Otherwise I'd be posting 10x in a row and you've already bitched about that.

No, you add other issues after I have replied and make it look like I didn't adequately answer. Like you just did here. That's why people with etiquette actually acknowledge their changes by stating Edit: at the end of the post.
If I have already replied then you would not be breaking the forum rule on back to back posting.
2719  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 01, 2018, 02:18:39 PM
it's August 1st... congrats to all wagering and referral contest winners!!
it seems the contest is here to stay until wetsuit decided otherwise Cheesy
btw, anyone we know active in this forum a winner of referral contest?

@broke_tradah are you one of the referral contest winners?
you said you were getting big ref comms off your referrals' wager, weren't you? Tongue

Yes that is correct,  but i purposely stopped promoting because I didnt want the notoriety of being a "top promoter" of what's obviously a ponzi/pyramid scheme so I stopped and actually disabled my bot for the last week or so.  I was up to 20BTC when I turned off the faucet.  I had no idea I was such a large promoter for the site and that isnt what I was aiming for.  The site just doesnt make enough for me to really promote it without having to worry about the FBI knocking on my door (which happened to Trevon James and several others).  I'm just glad that I put a collar on my bot so that I was able to stop people from using it.  A couple tards tried doing it by hand, but they lost everything trying.  The bot was perfect for this contest because it allows one to roll over the same BTC over and over and over and over and over and over without any worry about losing it all.  The gains are small,  but the wager amounts are extremely high.  It's a tradeoff for having such a low probability of losing.

As long as this contest continues,  I very likely will not allow people to use my bot publicly unless some other big promoters step up and bury my userID somewhere in the 1000s to the point where I'm a "small fry" not worth going after when all this comes crashing down and people start being summoned to court.

I'm going to have to quote that before you edit it and change it as you always do after I've answered. That is just sooooo funny it needs to be preserved.
2720  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: August 01, 2018, 01:39:24 PM
Just a heads up, don't know if there's something wrong with site, but I requested and paid the fee for instant withdrawal (which states will be sent out within 15 minutes) and it's been 20 minutes and it's still pending.

I did make an earlier instant withdrawal for a larger amount about 2 hours ago that was sent with no problem though.

Edit* - And just as I was typing this it was sent.

It does say "~15 Minutes" to indicate that it is an estimate. Sometimes there can be a delay if there is a long gap between blocks on the network and we get a lot of withdrawal requests in that time.
