2701  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NO RISK, NO REWARD on: April 11, 2022, 07:58:01 PM
You're sounding like one of those get rich quick investors we get in the network every now and then, you and your friend should understand that Bitcoin is not like gambling were you ride your luck, how can you invest in something without doing your own research; cause if you did you would understand that Bitcoin is a long term project, and as an investor you have to be patient and not expect quick returns.

Yeah, you can say no risk, no reward, but mind you that there is what is called stupid risk, for example when you invest without doing your own research, or you invest more than you can afford to lose, or you invest cause your 'friend' did invest, etc, all of the following does not make you a risk taker, it only keeps you open to avoidable loss of funds.
2702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 11, 2022, 04:39:28 PM
Paris St-Germain are in talks to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku only a year after the 28-year-old Belgium international joined the Blues for £98m from Inter Milan.
Lukaku to PSG rumors is a surprising one to me, i doubt if it could be true, i know Lukaku is having a terrible time at Chelsea ever since his big money return to the club, coupled with that infamous interview he made which didn't sit down well with the entire Chelsea football club and their fans, thus i can understand why Lukaku would most likely be on his way out of the club and that is what both parties would want, but to PSG, that looks unlikely. Even if Mbappe eventually leaves, Lukaku does not look like the replacement PSG would want; a return to Inter looks more likely to happen.
Borussia Dortmund's Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland, 21, has dismissed interest from Manchester United because he does not believe they can fulfil his ambitions. When you get into a situation where money is not enough  Grin
With the way Manchester United are playing, and with how things have gone from bad to worse for the club, there is no way Haaland can move there, as a matter of fact United would struggle to allure any world class player to their team at at the moment.
2703  Economy / Economics / Re: Is crypto the final stage in the evolution of money? on: April 11, 2022, 02:31:13 PM
Your inquiry/question does not have an exact answer, at least just yet. For example when trade by barter was the medium of exchange, no one knew what was coming next to replace, supplement or act as an alternative to it, but something else did (commodity money). It is the same scenario now, cryptocurrencies are quite popular nowadays, but they are yet to even be completely adopted as a medium of exchange (even if they actually are). Thus my point is basically this, as the world continues to advance technologically, there is no way one can predict/say that this present crypto stage would be the last in the evolution of money/medium of exchange, something else would definitely surface down the line, but its level of success is what i can't predict at this very time.
2704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 11, 2022, 02:06:59 PM
Now even Juventus is getting closer and closer, they only have 6 points to catch up on 1st place, that's not much.
Yeah, the points gap between the top four is really small, but personally i do not think Juventus can turn this around and win the league with just about 6 games to go, if Inter win their outstanding game, they will be 7 points ahead of Juventus, that would mean 3 slip ups in 6 games for Juventus to be able climb, that is a difficult one to say the least. I think the league is between AC Milan, Inter and Napoli, and i am in full support of Inter to win it. The final few games would be full of intensity, pressure and who knows, drama, but if Inter can manage to keep their nerves in check, then they will be champions of Italy for the second time in two seasons.
2705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fall of BTC open the opportunity to buy alts on: April 11, 2022, 01:49:14 PM
Personally i do not think Bitcoin can fall to as low as 19k, at least not at this time, and not in a long time, if ever again, after the adoption of Bitcoin by institutional investors, i doubt Bitcoin can experience the sort of sporadic plunge we saw in the past, of course i can't be certain, but from my analysis i believe so. I am not really an altcoin investor, so for me, now that the price of Bitcoin has depreciated a little bit, it is an opportunity to accumulate more, afterall it is a long term investment and since i am not concerned about its short term movements, i will buy more and hodl for the long term of which i would make profit.

Even if you buy altcoins now, how sure are you that they are going to be bullish for a sustained period of time, remember most of them are pump and dump coins, well, it all boils down to your own research which i enjoin you to do, my advice would just be that if you are a short term investor, then you can go for altcoins, but if you are a long term investor, accumulate more Bitcoin at a cheaper price and hodl.
2706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 11, 2022, 12:01:13 PM
As for the Bayern Munich - Villarreal match, it can be a really interesting one. Villarreal won by 1-0 in the first leg and their performance was incredible. If they maintain it here as well, then Bayern Munich can be in a big trouble.
I think Bayern were lucky not to have conceded more goals in the first leg of that game, Villareal missed a lot of clear cut chances to make it 2 or 3 goals ahead and that would have made things difficult for Bayern in the second leg. But with just a lone goal, i doubt Villareal would be able to survive Bayerns onslaught for the entire 90 minutes, it would also be impossible to replicate the kind of football they played in the first leg now that they are coming to the home of the German champions. Having said that, in football there is always a chance of an upset though, and no matter how you look at it, Villareal have the advantage for now and they can dare to dream.

As for Real v Chelsea, i expect the second leg to be even more interesting than the first, Chelsea would be throwing everything forward in this game as they have nothing to lose, and this would definitely leave gaps in defense, of which Madrid would be more than willing to capitalize on. This would be a high scoring game i can tell, but Madrid would go through at the end.
2707  Economy / Economics / Re: What about the role of giving in personal finance? on: April 11, 2022, 10:57:53 AM
but in my opinion, for Average Joe, who tends to be impulsive, Ramsey's system is better.
I have to agree with you that Ramsey's method is much better for individuals who are not finacially stable, i mean, debt can be a good way to create wealth, but it more often than not works for individuals who are already comfortable/rich, rich people take loans all of the time to make more money and it does not affect them at all, they have stipulated funds for more or less everything, and sometimes they may need someone else's money for a little while, of which they definitely will pay back. But for an individual who isn't financially stable, or who is poor, attempting to borrow money to create wealth would prolly not work, you'd always have some basic needs to handle and before you know it you have used up the money you borrowed, thus leaving you in debt with no extra source to clear your debts, for such people it is either they work for a long while, set up a savings and start up a business somewhere along the line, or they receive a donation of some sort that does not come with a pay-back clause.

"Givers never lack" they say, and i think that is true, and really it does not even have anything to do with religion, giving connects you to more people who could turn out to present you to more opportunities to make more money. If one loves giving they also tend to work harder cause they know they need a whole lot of money to help others as well as themselves.
2708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 10, 2022, 09:21:43 PM
I predict Inter will win the Serie a this season.
That has likewise being my prediction from mid season or so, my support for Inter to win the league is well known. A couple of weeks ago it looked like it was no longer possible fo Inter to win back to back titles, but football never disappoints and absolutely anything is always possible, now the league is back in Inters hands, what do they have to do? Win all of their games from now till the end of the season and they are champions, it is not an easy thing to do, but i believe it is achievable. The Seria A hasn't disappointed us for two seasons running now, and i hope it continues this way.
2709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you ever tried to live only on Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2022, 09:02:21 PM
This is really difficult to achieve, highly improbable but might not be impossible. The possibility though depends a lot on where you live and how you earn/receive your income. For example i come from a region where there is a sort of ban on Bitcoin, and even if Bitcoin adoption is pretty high in my region, people are only adopting it as an investment method/option and not as a medium of exchange just yet, so trying to live on just Bitcoin here would more or less be impossible. As regards how one receives his income, i believe someone who earns in fiat would prolly not consider using fiat to buy bitcoin for spending, especially when fiat is the most popular medium of exchange, on the other hand, someone who earns in Bitcoin has a chance of doing this if it is possible in their region.

Having said that, personally i perform my daily transactions with fiat, if i choose to live on Bitcoin where i live, then i prolly would die of hunger, lol, that is cause i would struggle to get all of my basic needs. I use fiat and i hold Bitcoin, i only use Bitcoin when i get the rare opportunity to do so.
2710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 10, 2022, 08:33:45 PM
And now the EPL is down to seven vital/all important fixtures for both City and Liverpool, it is more or less seven finals left for the both teams, and my goodness i am pretty sure at the end only fine margins will separate the two teams. I think City were the better team today, they created and missed more chances than their opponents. A win for City today would have guaranteed back to back titles for them, but now the anxiety continues and we could prolly have to wait till the last day of the season to get a winner in this one. City and Liverpool are heads and shoulders above the other teams in the EPL, and i don't think this rivalry is ending anytime soon, they would still be the top two teams in the league come next season.
2711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why would someone create topic that deserves merit but won't be merited? on: April 10, 2022, 06:28:02 PM
from your point it means to consider a post as quality it will reflect on the number of people that will merit Such topic.
No, that is not correct. A quality post doesn't earn merits all of the time for quite a lot of reasons, and it does not mean that a post that does not get merited isn't a quality post, you need to understand that merits are a very subjective thing on the forum and there can never be any sort of consensus on what should be.
So, Is there any set standard or guidelines that will be use to checkmate if a post deserves to award merit when reported?
No, it is subjective and up to the user/merit source if they want to merit such post or not, and if such posts meet their criteria for being merit worthy or not.
2712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 10, 2022, 04:32:45 PM
Could it happen in the end a big disappointment for Real fans that neither Mbappe nor Haaland will come to Real?
Nothing is decided yet, mbappe could still move to Madrid, he is yet to debunk such claims, neither has he officially stated his intentions to leave, so it is still completely open and absolutely anything is possible, if you ask me i would say it is best for Mbappe to move to Real Madrid, i think that move would take his career to the next level. PSG have a stupendous squad at the moment but it is not just clicking for them at the moment, there is so much uncertainty surrounding the club and this is the best time for Mbappe to leave.
Inter Milan are interested in re-signing Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, 29, from Chelsea this summer - but only on a loan deal. So it seems that Lukaku is returning to his old club very soon. Given how bad he has been playing lately, the question is how much he can help Inter.
This was not the return to Chelsea that Lukaku dreamt of, he has been at his worse since returning to Chelsea, and after that interview in which is said quite a lot of things that hurt Chelsea and their fans, i knew there was going to be no return for him back into the team, he has become a fringe player and since he loves Inter so much, i don't think they will mind bringing him back into the team.
2713  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies: Don't use centralized exchanges! on: April 10, 2022, 01:38:33 PM
o_e_l_e_o raise similar concerns in this thread some couple of weeks ago, still on centralized exchanges and the enormous possibility of loss of funds when you leave your coins in centralized exchanges, and also the mammoth possibility of your data being exposed in the black market when a hack happens, and with the amount of hacks that has happened on centralized exchanges you always have that feeling there is another one waiting in the wings.

I actually do hope people heed to all of this warning as it indeed cannot be overemphasized, one must not have to wait till they are a victim before they understand that their security should always come first, even if it (their security) is not so convenient for them to set up and maintain (they must do it by all means possible).
2714  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why would someone create topic that deserves merit but won't be merited? on: April 10, 2022, 01:07:14 PM
Being in this forum for a sometime now I have discovered and observed that some people created quality topics here that deserves merit but they won't get merited, instead  people that just did a little contribution, post or comment on that topic will end up getting merit.
Before i say anything, you should understand that merit is a very subjective case, and a post you consider merit worthy may not be so for other users, thus if you consider a post merit worthy, meaning if they meet your merit criteria, and you have some smerits, give some to such post and move on. But then, here are some reasons why an OP might not receive merit, but some replies and response to such threads get merited:
1) The content in the OP could be wrong.
2) The content in the OP may not have been well structured, thus making it ambiguous to read/understand.
3) The content in the OP was just a ploy at fishing merits.
4) The content in the OP was redundant.
5) The content in the OP helps absolutely no user here.
6) Users/merit sources who saw the post didn't feel it deserved any merit, or it was a topic they are not interested in, etc, etc.

Replies to a thread could earn merits for quite a lot of reasons, a few of which are:
1) The reply corrects the misconception of the OP.
2) The reply was better structured and sensible than the OP.
3)The reply contained some new/novel information that can help other users.
4) Other users or MS considered it worthy of merits.
2715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: April 10, 2022, 11:17:58 AM
I have 2 BNB, what is a good project to invest in? Something with utility, no shit coins
I suppose you do not quite like BNB, cause you are already holding 2 of it, thus the first advice to you would be to do your own research and stop asking others for investment advice, more often than not when you ask for investment advice from others, they sell to you the coins they are hodling, and i am afraid in the long run it could turn out to be unsuitable for you.

Really many altcoins are pump and dump projects without any utility, so what i can say is that you should avoid new projects that are just backed by promises, have you done any research about Bitcoin, well if you are a long term investor then i would suggest you do your research on Bitcoin, it is a long term project and has an actual utility, it is not a pump and dump coin or any of such things, if i were you i would invest in Bitcoin, but well it is up to you to decide.
2716  Other / Meta / Re: The 200 with most earned merit. on: April 10, 2022, 11:07:37 AM
I believe that taking this into account, we would get roughly a minimum of 150 high quality posters, which coincides with my perception.

What do you think about it?
If you mean the forum has nothing less that 150 quality posters, then i second that, with the number of users who populate the forum we definitely should have a minimum of 150 quality posters, as for the maximum, i don't think there is any way at all to even speculate or quantify that for obvious reasons.
No, actually that's not what happened to me. What has happened to me after reaching 1000 merits is that I keep earning merits faster than ever, and yet I notice that I find it harder than ever to climb above position 200, that's why I created this thread.
Isn't the reason basically that those ahead of you are prolly earning merits faster than you are? And the more you earn, they likewise earn. Thus maybe with time if their merits slow down and yours continues to pump then you can surpass them somewhere along the line.
2717  Other / Meta / Re: How I can get high rank in BitcoinTalk ? on: April 10, 2022, 09:22:14 AM
High ranks are for those users who find time to contribute to the forum in any way they can be useful. You don't do that.
To be honest i think more users (especially newcomers) should take cognizance of the quote above, it is ludicrous to demand a high rank, without putting in a 'high' amount of effort/time/desire to learn and communicate quality stuff on the forum. OP really doesn't even look like the sort of user who cares about a high rank, and i am curious why he is even asking in the first place; what he is more concerned about is how to promote the service he offers which is discouraged on the forum. Going through OP's profile i see he has received a couple of negative feedbacks, but rather than change, he responded with retaliatory ones (though inconsequential), that basically sums up the kind of user OP is.
2718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 08, 2022, 09:53:37 PM
but I still believe in the next season Manchester United will get their ass right and sign new players with a new coach.
It is going to be difficult, of course they will hire a new coach, but talking about alluring quality players, i do not quite think so. Manchester United aren't going to be playing in the CL next season and they are really struggling; thus it is going to be extremely difficult for a quality player to move to United in their present circumstances. Next season i do not see United doing better than they are now, at the end of this season they will definely lose some good players and would not be able to replace them adequately.
2719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm new here, Is it a scam or what? They ask me to invest $100 and after 24 hou on: April 08, 2022, 12:37:54 PM
If there were a way that they could turn $100 into $2000 then they would have done it themselves and would never tell anyone least of which random people. They could just do this:
$100 > $2000 > $40000 > $800,000 > $16,000,000
Meaning they could have become a millionaire in only 4 days!
So yeah, this is one of the most obvious scams.
This is the thing they will get millionaire at one point if they scam certain percentage of people with these shitty scam tricks.Have seen people depositing huge amount of proportion to their address and then the coins are lost forever.Mostly they hack some influential accounts and then place the fake address for coins depositing like double doge scam with Elon musk Twitter profile and similar cases. They are easily doubling their amounts like 100>2000>40000.... with people who are greedy or not aware of these tricks.
What Pooya87 meant was that if this was actually real, meaning if they could actually make $2000 from $100 in no time, then they would not even have to make it public, or through scamming others, they would basically just lock themselves indoors and start the doubling process without needing the money of others even.

As regards accounts of influential people being hacked and used to perpetrate scam, you are so correct on that, but i still blame the victims, it is caused by their avarice and desire to get rich fast, whatever information that requires you to send funds also requires you to verify before sending, do not just trust. And again since the influential individual whose account is used is definitely rich, why would they need you to send them some money, then double it, if for example you're asked to send $500 to get $1000, they could just send you $500 without you sending anything and that's that.
2720  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitcoinTalk Problem !!!!! on: April 08, 2022, 10:17:02 AM
No wonder some high rank members on this forum creates useless posts at times, its because they bought their account from people like you, this is not a good thing mate...
Anyone can create a low quality posts, making HQ posts isn't based on the user rank, though i know that the high ranked users making quality posts are in the majority, and those that do not are in the minority, but that doesn't mean you would categorize all high ranked users as quality posters, or insinuate they bought their accounts cause of the qualiity of their posts. Mind you also that not every user started from scratch, some were airdropped merits and they have not earned a lot since then, but they still have a high rank as a result of the merits they received via airdrop.
we work our asses up every day and some people just buy that with money?, you deserve a ban.
The fact people sell or buy accounts shouldn't discourage users who do not, and who are willing to continue learning and growing the normal way. And No, buying/selling accounts isn't a bannable offence.
