You can convert some of your payment to usdt to keep for any case that you lose the investment.
Why would OP go through the headache of covincing their boss to have their salary paid in Bitcoin, only to afterwards convert a part of the salary received in Bitcoin into stablecoins, if OP does that, then they should just have continued receiving their salary the conventional way through a bank account. If one decides to receive their salary in Bitcoin, they should be well and truly prepared to bear the risks involved, that's why a much better option would be to receive your salary in fiat and DCA a fraction of your earnings into Bitcoin every month.

It might be due to Simeone's not managing Atletico Madrid well anymore also. I'm not sure of it as a result. But still Griezmann is getting old day by day. He is already 31 years old and who knows how much money he will demand for his salary. I also agree with the people who think Gakpo would be a better choice.
His bad form definitely has quite a lot to do with Diego Simeone and his defensive gameplan all the time, Griezmann hasn't been that good in the last couple of years anyway, and it would be bad to take all the blame off him, but Diego Simeone should try something else as regards his footballing philosophies. Look at a player like Joao Felix, he is also hindered by how the manager sets his team up to play, Joao Felix could as well leave Athletico Madrid in January, i heard Arsenal are interested.

Having said that, if it is Erik Ten Hag that has made the decision to sign Griezmann, then it is what it is, he is a professional manager who knows better than i do, but i don't think this move would/should affect their purusit of Gakpo who is a player for the long term, they can definitely get the two of them, with Griezmann obviously being for the short term.

According to the news of the Spanish newspaper Sport, Barcelona are pushing all possibilities to add N'Golo Kante, whose contract with Chelsea will expire at the end of the season. If this transfer takes place, Barcelona will strengthen its power. If Barcelona wants to buy this player, they definitely will. Because a football player like Kante wants to play in a team like Barcelona.
Whilst it is good for Kante if this news is true, it is almost certain that Chelsea do not want him any longer once his current contract expires (mid next year), so to move to Barcelona won't be a bad choice at all, they (Barcelona) aren't at their best just yet, but they are resurgent and the name Barcelona will always stand out.

Having said that, on the other hand, whilst i think Kante is still a very brilliant footballer, i expected Barcelona to go for someone quite younger to replace Busquets, except they see Kante as a short term option, and prolly aren't going to pay any transfer fee for him, because i guess he would be a free agent once his contract expires pretty soon, if that be the case then it might be a good short term move for Barcelona.
1744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just can't get my eyes off my wallet. on: December 19, 2022, 06:36:57 PM
I want to know if there is an average number of times a new investor should check his wallet and how can I change my behavior if it is abnormal. Thank you in advance for your helpful responses.
There is no such 'rule' as that, it just depends on the individual and what they want to do, as a new investor it is somewhat normal to be hyperactive and check your wallet balance more times than is necessary, it would definitely hurt your heart quite a lot if you keep doing that, especially because Bitcoin's price doesn't do too well in the short term, so you'll be disappointed quite a lot of times when the price is down or if it's a correction phase (which technically lasts longer).

Having said that, since you are a long term investor you'd do yourself a whole world of good if you basically just go about your business without thinking too much about what's happening to your wallet balance with every movement in Bitcoin's price. Also remember the rule of thumb of investing only what you can afford to lose, that way it would reduce your hyperactiveness towards your Bitcoin balance.

60% of impulses created in the knock out phase of the just-concluded FIFA world cup were pulled by Paris saint German attackers #Neyma #messi and mbappe.. With this, I think we should be expecting something bigger from them at their club level. This has given me the fear that PSG may likely conquer Bayern Munich in the upcoming round of 16, especially in the absence of sadio mane, Manuel Neuer, Lucas Hernandez, and Sarr...it will be dangerous to play PSG in the round of 16 without them. I pray they recover before then.
I think even prior to the WC we all knew that PSG have the stars to beat just about any team, and that is including Bayern Munich. Even when they were eliminated by Real Madrid at this very stage last season it was just by a hairs breadth as PSG were very close to eliminating the European champions, but it was more like it had already been written in the skies for Madrid because they rode their luck from then on till the final, and won it.

Having said that, Bayern Munich have quite a lot of injury worries, some of them are certain to miss this crunch encounter, whilst we wait on the others to know if they will be fit, i think PSG are stronger than Bayern at this very time, and except a miracle should happen, i expect the Paris club to progress to the QF.

Also Binance CEO said Cold wallets are not really safe like people think.  So what am I not getting right?
Binance CEO would say whatever he has to say to ensure that more and more people store their funds on centralized exchanges generally, and since his is the biggest, his platform with get the largest chunk which is good for his business. DYOR about cold wallets and having your coins stored in your non custodial wallet, you'll discover that it is the safest method to store your funds, provided you have studied how to do things right, and how to prevent costly mistakes.

How to Get More Merit Please Anyone Explain Me 🙏
You've been here for quite a long time (2018), you should know better that making all your posts in the bounty section isn't going to get you any merits, you get merits through quality and constructive posts that you make, but with your post history looking that way, i'm afraid you might struggle to ever add to the single (1) merit you've earned on the forum thus far. If you are serious about being a useful user in the forum, then change your posting habits, or nothing is definitely going to change for you.

Most users, like Theymos do not use or care so much about social media, thus Bitcointalk forum social media accounts would never have so much traffic, and sooner or later may fade into oblivion. I think quite a lot of people stopped being too active on social media when they joined the forum, it happened to myself, and i'm pretty sure i am not the only one. The forum is more like everything enmeshed in one, so anything outside the forum might never be popular amongst the Bitcointalk community.
1749  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC awareness on: December 16, 2022, 02:32:59 PM
Bitcoin is really pulling waved all over in Africa and most people who are exposed to it are really breaking out of the financial entrapment they have been in some many years by the government controled fiat currency.
If the financial entrapment is about government control, then quite rightly Bitcoin affords its users the freedom and control of their funds that's in the network, but if your statement connotes that Bitcoin is making these people rich, then mind you that Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, but a sustainable long term project, and except these people are early adopters, they'll have to be patient for quite a long time to reap ROI on their investments.
Me myself i have been through hell trying to save money in my fiat currency and instead of the banks to be securing your money instead in my place here the banks actually cut your money and destabilized your whole plan you have for that money.
Bank charges are somewhat normal, but btw if you intend to save your money in the Bitcoin network, ensure you do it the correct way, do not save it in a centralized exchange, but in a wallet that only you has the keys too, mind you: not your keys, not your coins.
But the awareness i have seen so far about this bitcoin innovation in my area is really something else its like everyone around me has exploded in saving their money in bitcoin which I still don't how its operate but am curious and interested in finding out more so i was directed here for more exposure by a friend and am hoping am going get everything right here about this massive awareness in my area about bitcoin.
There is a rule of thumb that you shouldn't forget, and that's to invest only what you can afford to lose, thus as you save your money in the Bitcoin network, mind you that you should do so with a money that you can afford to lose. Having said that, Bitcoin awareness is becoming a thing, but people are not massively saving their money in Bitcoin like you say, they still trust the bank because many haven't acquired the knowledge of being their own bank, and as a noob that you are, it is much better for you to leave your money in the bank for now, and when you've understood how to use the network you can then gradually build up your Bitcoin stash.

Reports have it that Ronaldo who left Qatar after his country's defeat in the quarter-finals stage was spotted training at Real Madrid. It's a good sign that the Portuguese attacker still has a great bond with his former club, as such may be seen playing in the champion league once again before the end of his career.  I think Ronaldo so much wishes to play in the champion league which is why he is trying to reunite with his former Spanish side. Lol😅 even at 37 the young man is not giving up on football.
Ronaldo is definitely not giving up on football, quite a lot of people expected that by now he would have officially retired from international football, but he is yet to officially release any statement to that effect, meaning that Ronaldo could actually play for Portugal again, maybe in the 2024 Euro tournament, and the good news for him is that coach Santos has been fired and there are rumors that Mourinho is about to take over, thus Mou might be interested in reuniting with Ronaldo for a few years in the international stage.

Having said that, my respect goes to Real Madrid for giving Ronaldo somewhere to train whilst he looks for a new club, i don't think there is any chance in hell that he is going back to Real Madrid, but they have given him the honor he deserves as a club legend, to use their facilities for the meantime so he can keep fit before moving to a new club, once he finds one. He definitely wants to play in the CL again, and i hope he finds a CL team sooner rather than later.
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 15, 2022, 06:10:53 PM
I don't think either Ronaldo or Messi will get away from football completely after their retirements. These are legends who love football very much and we can understand this from their passion to play for longer years still. I think we would definitely see them both as managers or having some other roles at some big teams maybe.
It is amazing that we are here today discussing what Ronaldo and Messi would do post retirement, these two superhumans have thrilled us for so many years, they've been at the top of world football for all of these time, and despite the fact that it is sad to see the end so near, we also have to happy that we were here to witness them play, and hope that we can possibly see footballers as good as they are in this generation and the next to come.

Having said that, i don't know if Messi would become a manager, he doesn't look like it to me, but mind you that i might be completely wrong, he definitely would be involved in football in many other ways, but i don't think he will become a manager, though my guess could prove incorrect and we'd see him managing a football team post retirement. Ronaldo on the other hand looks like he would be well suited for a managerial role when he retires, i think it would fit him perfectly; for now though the both of them are still actively playing, so we can suspend all of these speculations until they bow out.
1752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 15, 2022, 03:12:54 PM
Ferran Torres to Barcelona was a shocking transfer to me, I didn't see it coming and until now I still wonder why Manchester city opted to sell Ferran Torres to Barcelona knowing how good he was playing for Manchester City. Too bad he is struggling for games at Barcelona, I bet he will be wishing he had stayed back and remained at Manchester city where he was getting enough game time. Good news for him, Arteta seems to be interested in Ferran Torres as a prospective replacement for Gabriel Jesus.
Ferran Torres is a precocious player, but the truth is that he was not getting enough playing time in Manchester City, back then Pep even opted to play without a striker, sending Ferran Torres way down the pecking order at City, he saw an opportunity to move to a club like Barcelona and he took it, City saw the money Barcelona were offering and they had to take it, both parties were happy. Mind you that when Ferran arrived at Barcelona, the club didn't have many of the players they have now, and he was playing regularly then, but last summer Barcelona bought quite a lot of players, including striker Lewandowski, and Ferran now has to manage a place on the bench as he mostly comes on as a substitute.

Having said that, if Arsenal are interested in him, then he could grab the opportunity and come back to the EPL, quite a lot of attackers have been linked with Arsenal this January, including Athletico Madrid's Joao Felix, i'd prefer the Portuguese sign for Arsenal rather than Ferran Torres, he is a better player imo, but the window will open soon and we'd see the new faces that would arrive at the Emirates.

No plans of further contract extension for Kaante from Chelsea means they will explore that position in the transfer this or next.
Declan Rice will be a good exchnage for Kante since he is young English and wants to leave West Ham for a Champions League side.
Yeah it is all but certain that Kante wouldn't be given a contract extension at Chelsea, though personally i think Chelsea should reconsider that, Kante is still strong and can play, a one year contract extension wouldn't be bad for a player like him, it is not like he has lost so much quality, he is just not as young and strong as he was some seasons back, coupled with his latest injury problem. I guess it is what it is, and he looks set to leave in the summer, i'm pretty sure many clubs would be excited about the prospects of having Kante in their team.

Having said that, Declan Rice is highly sought after, and he would not leave West Ham for cheap, quite a lot of big teams have their eyes on the England international, and West Ham are definitely going to use that to their advantage and put an astronomical price tag on him, i don't know if Chelsea would still be interested should that happen, but we'd have to wait until next summer to find out.
1754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 14, 2022, 06:11:18 PM
But should United lose him it will be a big loss but this isn't the first time they have lost their star player. Ronaldo left at his peak and they managed to survive without him.
Of course, not only Manchester United, but every club at one time or the other will lose/have lost their star player, but they must see it as what it is and move on, try to get a replacement and build the team around another player or basically revert to collective strategy.

Having said that, i don't think Rashford would leave Manchester United, if he was to leave i feel he would have left a few seasons ago when he hardly had playing time; but now Ronaldo is gone from the team and he is like the star player for Erik Ten Hag, he would definitely want to stay and prove himself at Old Trafford. If he moves to PSG, he will be moving into an uncertain future, one that he might not play regularly, i am pretty sure Rashford does not want to go back to the time when he was constantly on the bench. And as for the salary/wages that PSG can offer him, i think Manchester United can also do well in that area, i am pretty sure if they are to sign a contract extension with him, it will come with a significant salary raise.
1755  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: December 14, 2022, 01:59:46 PM
- How could Bitcoin help in your specific situation in Nigeria?
Personally, Bitcoin has been of tremendous help to me, not only has it changed my financial life, but my attitude towards finance generally, it has given me the mindset of upholding decentralization and privacy. The Nigerian government, just like every other government loves control, but with Bitcoin i've been able to control a fraction of my finance without worrying about censorship or other whatnots.
- Could Bitcoin give Nigerians a new way of life?
Of course, Nigerians are intelligent and resourceful people, so the idea of Bitcoin and fintech generally has been embraced so well within our shores, and despite the fact that we are the leading adopters in Africa now, we still expect the adoption rate in Nigeria to go higher, and for Bitcoin to provide more opportunities for Nigerians.
- What do you find particularly appealing regarding Bitcoin technology?
Decentralization
- Could you imagine a better future using Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is definitely a long term project, one that is sustainable because it has an actual utility, if governments around the world can reduce the rate at which they attack Bitcoin, then i can see a future with Bitcoin being a well acceptable alternative to fiat currencies.
- Are there already plenty of people in Nigeria who use Bitcoin?
Yes there are, but not at the level of mass adoption; and it is used majorly for trading and speculation, there are actually limited merchants that accept Bitcoin in Nigeria, so many people can't use it yet as a medium of exchange.
- How is the Nigerian government responding to the increased Bitcoin use?
They aren't responding favorably thus far, but it isn't basically peculiar with the Nigerian government, many other foreign governments are not responding well to Bitcoin use in their country too. Well, the Nigerian government no longer allows banks process crypto transactions from exchanges (reason why p2p is popular amongst Nigerians), that is so far their biggest attack on the network, but i believe with time the Nigerian government will come good towards Bitcoin.

the two premier league clubs fc chelsea and manchester united are reportedly interested in dutch international Denzel Dumfries (inter). due to his strong performances at the world cup and because the milan club is probably dependent on proceeds, a transfer in the summer is being sought - the transfer fee should then be €60 million.
Denzel Dumfries put up a very strong performance in the WC, i'm pretty sure that is what has caught the attention of these respective clubs, and not just that btw, these clubs are somewhat lacking in the right back position, Manchester United's Diogo Dalot has been really good of late, but if they could sign Dumfries and throw him in the mix, it will develop competition for the right back position and improve performances of the players because they would know that's the only way they are going to play.

Having said that, Chelsea on the other hand have Reece James injured, and Azpilicueta is 33 years old already, with Graham Potter even preferring the Spanish international in the center of defense, so an additional right back in Denzel Dumfries is a good move for the blues. The Dutch international will have to make the best decision for his career, and imo any of these teams is a good step forward.

The POS operators can withdraw more than the minimum and pay charges then continue their business.
I know that one boss, and if to say you find the post wey i bin quote you, you go see say i talk am there, but that charge no be here oh, imagine say person wan withdraw 600k for example, e go pay 10% tax on it, which is 60k, Grin no person go fit do that na, na business e they do, abi e come make loss Grin
By the time dey dun pay those charges wella, e go wey dem and them go increase withdrawal charges, this one go enforce people to go cashless since dem dey claim say dem get coconut head.
Lol, Grin this one they too, the charge go they mahd if they are to cover wetin them bin pay as charge for bank, so na wetin i they talk here since say PoS service go they affected, i don check am critically, the policy get advantages, especially in the long run, that post wey i quote you, i just bin wan correct wetin you talk say PoS no go they affected, na must, e go kick them out of business for sure, all of us fit agree on that one.
Personally I no fit remember when last I buy something with cash, all my activities this year has been cashless. E no hard to run am.

Liverpool still have plenty of time to recover, but it may be desirable to get another good striker in the winter break.
Liverpool definitely don't need a striker, they have Darwin Nunez and Firminho already, so i am pretty certain that they would not be in the hunt for a striker in this winter transfer window, what Liverpool need right now is at least two young midfielders, they really need to reshuffle their midfield with some fresh and talented legs, i heard they are interested in Bellingham, but that deal is going to be pretty difficult to pull off, the kid is wanted by almost every big team in Europe, teams i am pretty sure Liverpool can't compete with in terms of funds available for spending. Having said that, Liverpool might as well need a winger in this window, Diaz suffered a setback in his recovery from injury and he is set to spend a longer time 'on the sick bed' and away from the game, thus a replacement is a brilliant idea.
1759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I right or wrong on: December 13, 2022, 05:40:22 PM
Right now many governments want to join the crypto world and want to adopt it on a large scale because they can't beat Bitcoin for real, they can only scream, Slowly Bitcoin has become a real target for the government in investment & trade, in the future of course they will join and declare Bitcoin legitimate as a digital currency for investment and trading tools.
I wouldn't go as far as saying many countries are itching to join the cryptocurrency industry or that they want to adopt Bitcoin so bad, if they wanted to then they prolly should have done that a long time ago. When you say they (governments) can't beat Bitcoin, you have to understand that it depends on your own definition of "beat", definitely there is no chance in hell that governments can completely ban Bitcoin worldwide, but a specific government can ban Bitcoin in her country and make it illegal, they can regulate it sternly, control centralized exchanges and stop their banks from processing transactions from crypto exchanges.

Having said that, if we are tbh, too many governments aren't interested in Bitcoin just yet, the decentralized nature of Bitcoin makes it unattractive to them, it would be difficult for many governments to make something that they can't control a legal tender, thus it might take quite a long time for mass adoption to happen.

Nobody can predict the future but someone can tell how the future will be. Today we are celebrating because the thread is active. I am of the full support of the political discussion in the thread and I even voted for it. That doesn't mean that I should deviate from the core mandate of the thread. I was one of the number one novice in the forum. Dat is y I am trying my best to learn. But if I have offended u through my comments, sorry. But those who are really ready to learn might not come her or mute the thread till the main board comes.
You haven't offended me in anyway whatsoever, and we all have a right to air our opinions without fear, i do not have any problem with any sort of discussion that is brought up here, so long as it is on-topic and presented constructively, i must admit that some topics/subjects are unnecessary and unfit to be discussed here, but i think we might have to put up with it until we have our local board, if we tighten moderation here at this time we might dissuade people from here, that's why we are just trying to be diplomatic in all that we do.

Having said that, i do not think learning is in anyway being hindered in here, nor is questions or enquiries relating to Bitcoin being snubbed, it is just a matter of what users bring up for discussion, i'm ready to discuss on any subject that's on-topic, if a user here today stirs up a subject about Bitcoin, i don't think they are going to be snubbed, we are all going to react to it, and have our say/opinion.
Every transaction in POS just like bitcoin wallet transaction, there is a transaction fee paid to the machine. Just like transaction fee to the nods.
If i am not being nitpicky, transaction fees aren't paid to nodes per se, transaction fees as well as block rewards is paid to the particular miner who solves the complex 'puzzle' and creates a new block. Mind you that no be every node be miner, but every miner must to run a full node before e fit mine.
