It sounds like there is some problem with the V9. I am getting 0.2% reject rate with my S9s and Halong T1 but my Avalon 741s are getting 3% reject rate. That's 15 times greater than the S9s and T1. This is why I probably won't buy Avalon miners again.
You need to either check you network performance, miner settings or PSU's. I run over 230THs of Avalons ranging from 721's up to 841's. All have less than 0.8% rejects and yes it is the bank of 741's that are at 0.8, most are around 0.2 to 0.3% rejected.

how much energy does the miner consume? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) ... Perhaps try READING the post right above yours?

KDB restart in about 45 minutes Restart will be at about 11:30 UTC when the (current) Rem shift completes .... The pool asicboost support has completed testing also. After the KDB restart has completed and all is running OK, I'll work out when I'll do the pool update restarts for asicboost. I've found yet another bug in the pool code, this time regarding failing to submit asicboost blocks, but I've patched in a workaround and tested it.
Restart complete. From 11:32 UTC to 11:44 UTC Hmm, wonder if a certain other software dev has picked up on that? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Just another reason to mine here. Face it, in one respect pool software is like any other financial software: money is at stake so it had better be thoroughly vetted via testing before entering production status. If there is a bug(s) not only are actual monies earned at risk but also as in this case, possible earnings. Having a pool op/programmer who knows that is Priceless.

Depending on the condition of the chips and resulting speed/voltage the miner will be stable at, with 3 boards mine were running at ~ 3.5 to 3.9THs with fans at 20-25%, power draw was around 750W. Result is more than quiet enough for the office or home.

Nothing if you have one or a 555 timer/couple resistors & caps with knowledge to make one. For those who don't, this is plug-'n-play.

Just got my two A841's to replace a dead R4 and dying s9 along with another PSU. About the PSU -- ordered the APW3++ (1600w) and Blockforge upgraded it to the APW7 good for 1800w. LOVE these folks! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sherv.net%2Fcm%2Femo%2Fhappy%2Fsuper-happy-smiley-emoticon.gif&t=664&c=rW4jwdK-JgJ0fQ)

How are they getting these results using 16nm ?
(not sure why they put "or better" in there - don't they know what processors they are using ?) Thoughts ?
Easy, just check out the overclocking threads for the s9: given the right voltage, freq tweaks and decent cooling they can run in the same per-chip hash rates. As for the 'or better' I suspect they are either using multiple foundries for their chips or as the 16nm node further matures are anticipating at least 1 more process improvement for the node.

^^ Considering how cheap they are, get a new SD card. Biggest thing is that you need an AUC3 dongle -- the A6 uses the older AUC2. They are not interchangable. For one source, check Blokforge.com

... What PSU specifically are you using?
My PSUs all have exhaust fans. Typically exhausting upward from the fan out the top of the PSU. I would agree an intake fan would appear backwards.
Top exhaust means ATX-style PSU's which are an entirely different beast. The brick-style server PSU's all have fans on the end and AFAIK only the HP DP-series and Dell PSU's have the air coming out the fans. All Bitmain PSU's exhaust out the 12V output end as do the Soccerer's. Not the best idea for miners but then again the PSU's put out very little heat so is mostly a moot point.

Btw, I wonder if Halong Mining is dead or not. Are we going to see only Terminator units from now on, and no more Dragonmints?
One can only hope that is the case. Inno may be a terrible company to work with but at least we know who/where they are and can contact them. Question is -- does the T2 use AB? If it does then per Little Dragon LLC's asicboost license they are required to share all their mining IP with Little Dragon. Don't see that happening unless Little Dragon is actually part of Inno...

To clarify what BitMaxz said, the APW++ supplies need a rest with power off for 5 min or more before they will restart after shutdown from overload/heat.

Well hell - along with Cryptouniverse's thread we've been moved to Services... Technically, ja I suppose being about distributors and not-specific hardware the mods are right but still -- poop.

I didnt ask if it is smart to buy such a contract or not. Just about the btc address
And you got the answer Aside from that, once you have a wallet address it is yours to use forever if you want.

Ask your scamming cloudmining company... For the record, none are really worth it and far too many are pyramid schemes. Ya *do* realize that all businesses run differently right? So also might want to give info as to who the company is and ask them why you cannot assign an address to be used all of the time. Aside from that, once you have a wallet address it is yours to use forever if you want.

Any particular reason you choose to not use the Bitmain Antpool support thread? Ya know - where all of their users hang out? Have you even once as others have suggested tried pointing the miners at a different pool to see if they do the same thing?

Hello , I need some info!. I bought 10x S9 miner last spring, paid import duty fees, but now I got letter from state tax office that I have to pay use taxes at 6%. I live in US, PA. Any one had something like that? do I really have to pay ? How to handle this issue? Any advice plz. Thanks
Pay it. If your state requires sales tax on out-of-state purchases and the vendor does not collect it when you paid then you are supposed to declare it come tax time. What nailed you was the import duty collection. All imports are duty free up to $2500, after that CBP collects Duty -- and reports to your state what was imported and the value of it. MI got me twice before I found what the Duty-free limit is.

<snip> i really would like to try to step over to Avalon, but the price is still a bit steep in regards to bitmain?
Ever since around batch-9 the s9's break a lot. Just look at the support section for proof of that. What is your lost mining time worth when a s9 breaks and it takes weeks to (maybe) get fixed? The Avalons are near bullet-proof as evidenced by how rarely folks report problems here. Only failures I've had is 2 dead fans, both on very old miners. In both cases Support process was painless and I got the replacement fans from Canaan in a week.

... Fewer errors for the most part, and more reliable. Some of those s9's are horrific on their reliability.
And others refuse to die. Still have my only Batch-1, 2x batch-3's and a batch-5 along with a slew of others up to batch-25. When BM stopped accepting BTC I moved to Avalons and have not looked back since. Think the earliest s9 that has had even a fan die is a batch-9. After that batch- several hash board faliures and 2 fans, etc. Probably 1/2 of the s9's I have after batch 11 have been retired and replaced with the Avalons, the others get donor boards and controllers from the retired ones as-needed. As for Somehow I've been around for half a year and am just hearing that Antminers don't need a RPi to control it... Mind = Boom
That is/was their only nice thing. Pure plug&Play aside from just needing to enter user & pool info. However BM software is not exactly Open Source. Ja it *is* out there but...
