What's the second solution please? I may not be qualified yet but I can tell that BlackboyOJ is a nice person, if you have another solution then say it.
The only solution is to register an account from an IP-address that isn't marked as "evil", or pay to amount asked by the forum.
2702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] If Bitcoins blocks were 10x larger, would the miners be earning 10x? on: December 30, 2023, 01:11:32 PM
So you're saying 36 million dollars per day isn't enough for miners?
Where did you get that figure from if I may ask?
It's 6.25BTC block reward, 6 times per hour and 24 times per day.

Back in 2017, I read someone saying the "fee wars" shouldn't start for a few decades. The block reward should be more than enough to pay for miners for a long time to come.
2703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] If Bitcoins blocks were 10x larger, would the miners be earning 10x? on: December 30, 2023, 12:14:23 PM
if blocks are not filled up, fees will collapse to 1 sat/byte and all of the miners will be put out of business. That will lead to lower hashrate, which means the price will start collapsing too.
So you're saying 36 million dollars per day isn't enough for miners?

OP, Please can you whitelist
Sorry, you don't qualify to vouch for others (yet).
2705  Economy / Scam Accusations / [exit scam waiting to happen] [banned mixer] self-vouching | Type 1 Flag on: December 30, 2023, 11:50:25 AM
User PureMixerio and his website should not be trusted.
I left him neutral feedback in April:
Quote
This user lies, and I don't trust him. I think this is an exit scam waiting to happen, and I advise anyone not to trust their website.
See this link for the reasons.

Yesterday, user Niquoles said he sent 10.6 BTC to the site, and didn't receive anything. I verified the Letter of Guarantee. After that, PureMixerio "solved" it.

We resolved the situation with the client and returned all his funds to him.
Niquoles sent 10.6 BTC (rounded for privacy) to address Sent. These funds originated from address Originated1, which had a round number as balance.
After posting here, Niquoles received 10.5 BTC (rounded for privacy) on address Received. Those funds originated from address Originated2.

Here's the kicker: Originated1 and Originated2 both came from the same address! I considered the possibility that Niquoles received Originated1 from OP's website earlier, but the site doesn't allow to set round output balances.

Here's what I think happened: OP owns account Niquoles and pretended to have a problem to look trustworthy after he "resolved" the "problem"! Who in their right mind would trust this website with $450k anyway?

Quote
The reason for today's problem: a technical glitch that caused the suspension of transactions in our system. It's nothing serious.
What a convenient way to end your thread 2 days before it gets locked by Admin and all mixer owned accounts get banned from posting!

Quote
[banned mixer] still retains the title of the most anonymous bitcoin mixer in the industry. Wink
You're lying again. Addresses Sent and Received are linked on-chain.

This is my reference topic for a Type 1 Flag: "Due to various concrete red flags, I believe that anyone dealing with this user has a high risk of losing money.". Please vote on the Flag: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3264

I hate that I can't provide evidence with this Flag, but the Letter of Guarantee was sent to me in private. If you don't trust me, feel free to Oppose the Flag.

I've created a type 1 Flag against OP. Please vote: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3264.

We also want to note one point:
Since Niquoles had to "depersonalize" his address, we will provide him with free mixing.
We will also provide compensation to all injured customers who were affected by this trouble in the amount of $100 in pure bitcoins.
Your PR-department lacks technical skills. That also means you have no idea how to obtain on-chain privacy, which brings me back to what I posted in April:
an exit scam waiting to happen.

I've tagged OP with negative feedback.
2707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can I Pay Lower Bitcoin Transaction Fee and Not Get Stuck? on: December 30, 2023, 10:42:14 AM
There are decentralized chains that have higher TPS than btc.
True, but how successful and decentralized are they? And how many transactions do they actually process? Bitcoin's blockchain is currently 569 GB. Chainstate is already 9.4 GB. If blocks would have been 10 times larger, spammers could still easily fill them with transactions. If the current blockchain and chainstate would have been 10 times larger, you'd need 8 TB SSD and 128 GB RAM to run a node. That's still possible, but most consumers wouldn't do it anymore.
I really hate high fees, and I really want to see a solution for the low transaction throughput, but on-chain scaling can't be enough to reach mass-adoption. Google tells me Visa processes 242 billion transactions per year. That's not a problem for a huge centralized database with many backups, but it's impossible to decentralize to tens of thousands of nodes.
2708  Other / Meta / Re: So I have an interesting problem. on: December 30, 2023, 10:27:36 AM
Let's pretend LoyceV wrote a perfect qualifying statement. anyone renting their own  space wants to use it.
Like this:

Bla bla rent out my bla bla.
These rules apply:
I only advertise services that I like. I reserve the right to reject offers I don't like. If the service I'm advertising turns into a scam, I reserve the right to stop advertising it without returning payment.
Bla bla rent out my bla bla.

Anyone is allowed to quote me (or any other forum post) like this without worrying about plagiarism.

1) "Thou shall not kill".   A commandment must I credit it or can I say it.
Most English speakers will recognize the phrase, and instantly know you heard it somewhere else. That's not the case with my services quote above.

Quote
BTW LoyceV it is a damn fine qualifier on your part.
Thanks Smiley The main thing is to actually live by it, and from what I've seen, many people advertise anything they can without knowing what they advertise. For what it's worth: any advertising agency does the same.

Quote
And anyone on the forum should be able to use it if they are renting out  a space on
They can, with proper quote tags.

Off-topic: why do you hit Enter twice half way a sentence? I don't use my browser full screen, and this gives a terrible layout.

Therefore my simple suggestion  to prevent you from plagiarism is; I suggest that Loycev creates a thread to fully authorize the use of that application format without using his name as a reference.
I'm not going to do that. First, it's useless. Plagiarism isn't decided by the author of the thread, that's copyright. A copyright owner could give anyone permission to use their work, let's say by putting it in the public domain. But, anyone who copies it without referencing, still makes it look like it was his own work, and that is by definition plagiarism.
So, in short: I don't give away the rights to my writings, and there's no need to do so, because there's a quote button.

At LoyceV would you consider releasing your  statement for people to use?
See above Smiley

Quote
It is stricter than mine and some would prefer it over mine.
By all means: use it, within quote tags.

LoyceV wouldn't wanna drag you out for a similar write-up since you ain't paid directly for it... To me, that's not plagiarism...
I bet Coca Cola would disagree if Pepsi starts advertising Holidays Are Coming Wink

Look I was very careful and quoted your entire thread and asked as I did not want to have fights or arguments about what is repeatable verbatim. Without credit.
I don't think we're fighting Wink But quoting my entire post wasn't needed either, just quote the part you need. Like this:
Quote from: satoshi
If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

SO any one that writes "I will charge a 10% fee to send up to 0.01 btc to your active LN wallet." gets charged with plagiarism according to your position.
It depends: will they copy it? If so, use the quote button. If I'd offer such a service (which various exchangers offer at 0.5% fee), I'd write my own text:
I'm going to charge an outrageous amount: 1 Bitcoin LN satoshi per Forkcoin-satoshi. You're not paying for the coins, you're paying for the service. But since 2000 sats is more than enough for this purpose, it puts the total price under only a dollar.
If you write your own text, it's very unlikely someone else wrote the same thing. It also depends on the number of words: there's so much written text already that it's very difficult to write any small number of words that hasn't been written already. Let me think of something: "cows can't jump high". Unsurprisingly, Google tells me it has been written already.

I think you can use any format as long as you can make some good changes in it.
That's what plagiarism spammers did after many bans: they used text spinners. It's more annoying to detect.

And this is the problem. He made a beautifully crafted legal statement and he says it must be quoted on this website.
I still don't get why that's a problem.

Quote
So he is saying no one can have those terms without quoting him.
Nope. I'm not monopolizing those terms.

Quote
Oh anyone that wants to use my new thread as an idea for their thread in currency can do so.
That's copyright: you allow anyone to use your work. Great! But you simply can't give anyone a freebie for claiming your work as their own.

I gave credit and did not pass off LoyceV's well written idea as my own.
You did. No worries there. But I've said it before in Ratimov's plagiarism accusation threads: I think the forum has a loophole: you don't get banned if you copy anything and leave a small link with the source (or 10 different sources) at the bottom of a long post.

Quote
But I do understand it may not have been clear enough.
I'm just saying how I would have done it Smiley One short selective quote instead of quoting a whole topic at the bottom.

Quote
much like

"not your keys not your coins"  I do not know who said it first.
The difference is that any experienced Bitcointalk user will know this isn't your own text, and knows you're not passing it off as your own.
2709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] If Bitcoins blocks were 10x larger, would the miners be earning 10x? on: December 30, 2023, 08:50:10 AM
My take: short-term, miners will earn less because currently fees are high because of full blocks. But long-term, a higher transaction volume will lead to more paying users and can lead to more earnings.
2710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can I Pay Lower Bitcoin Transaction Fee and Not Get Stuck? on: December 30, 2023, 08:48:07 AM
1. Why is BTC fee high?
It's a free market, and the highest bidder wins.

Quote
2. How do I circumvent high fees?
Don't collect small Bitcoin inputs, use Segwit, and if possible use LN.

Quote
3. Why aren't developers tweaking the Bitcoin blockchain code to accommodate millions of transaction like Solana and BNB?
I don't know Solana but BNB is a centralized shitcoin made up by a rich guy. A centralized database can't be compared to a decentralized blockchain.

Quote
4. How Can I Pay Lower Bitcoin Transaction Fee and Not Get Stuck?
You can't.
2711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Mnemonic words Known and target address known but order missing - Please help on: December 30, 2023, 08:31:33 AM
i think there might be possibility that the guy wanted to use simple blockchain wallet instead of using complex hardware wallets, and the security of blockchain also very good.
None of this makes sense. Blockchain's web wallet has terrible security, and I've seen countless topics of people who can't access their funds anymore. Hardware wallets aren't complicated at all.
2712  Economy / Reputation / Re: Symmetrick/Ratimov - Memorial Thread. on: December 29, 2023, 07:19:38 PM
What amazes me is that after everything that has happened he only has two negative feedback
~
I see a lot of softness around here.
Before leaving negative, I like to ask myself: "does this make the forum a better place?". In this case, I don't think it does. It's closer to "irrelevant" at the moment.

This forum went soft after Lauda's departure. R.I.P Lauda btw. She will be missed.
Lauda was often
too harsh, in my opinion. But I've also seen a lot of cases in which Lauda turned out to be right later on.

The following is pure speculation but if this is true, then he may have been the one behind the BitMixList and BPIP harassment recently.
It's speculation indeed, but also pointless: whoever is behind this is the only one benefiting from speculation.
2713  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Bitcoin mixer | 50+ BTC in reserves are confirmed! on: December 29, 2023, 07:18:12 PM
And I will leave them negative feedback until user Niquoles confirms that he got his coins back.
I'll also keep an eye on the receiving address.
2714  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Bitcoin mixer | 50+ BTC in reserves are confirmed! on: December 29, 2023, 04:15:35 PM
I really hope that this is just a technical issue...
I wrote this on April 15:
Quote
This user lies, and I don't trust him. I think this is an exit scam waiting to happen, and I advise anyone not to trust their website.
I wouldn't be surprised if $450k is a good amount to walk away with after creating a small website. Then just rinse and repeat.
2715  Economy / Reputation / Re: Symmetrick/Ratimov - Memorial Thread. on: December 29, 2023, 04:01:56 PM
This is actually wrong
I'm pretty sure everyone agrees by now Wink
2716  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Bitcoin mixer | 50+ BTC in reserves are confirmed! on: December 29, 2023, 03:58:55 PM
I sent 10.6 bitcoins to puremixer
I verified the Letter of Guarantee. Niquoles's claim is correct: he sent 10.6 Bitcoins, and didn't receive anything in return.
2717  Economy / Reputation / Re: Symmetrick/Ratimov - Memorial Thread. on: December 29, 2023, 02:51:47 PM
And another legend passed ...into hero!

Down to 529 posts now. He also wiped all posts that he couldn't delete, and moved all his topics to Archival. He now only has a few posts left that he can't delete or edit. Lol.

Don't forget to delete your browser history Wink

What new changes would you like to see on Bitcointalk in 2024 ?
I'd like to see less useless topics, if you catch my drift.
2719  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Bitcoin mixer | 50+ BTC in reserves are confirmed! on: December 29, 2023, 02:11:20 PM
Yes, i have the letter of guarantee.
Are you willing to share it with me to verify your claim? If you do, know that Cloudflare can read PMs.
2720  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: December 29, 2023, 10:15:20 AM
My settings: "Tor" and "From Blockchain". I received a small LTC-payment, which even after 11 confirmations didn't show up. When I killed Unstoppable Wallet and restarted it, it rescanned the last transactions and my transaction showed up. That's not how I expect a wallet to work.

I don't know how you call ETH a shitcoin  Huh
Let's see: it's centrally controlled, pre-mined, used to scam millions of people with worthless made-up tokens, and forks when it's convenient for the rich owners. But all of that is off-topic here, so I'll stop.
