2701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How prepared are you for Spark token on: December 07, 2020, 07:15:41 AM
Then Coinbase also planning to support the airdrop.
Coinbase to Support Spark Token Airdrop to XRP Holders
Quote
“The amount of Spark you’ll receive depends on how much XRP you had in your account at the snapshot time,” Coinbase wrote. Details about the airdrop will be posted this week, a company spokesperson told CoinDesk.
Big news.
But, I am not a fan of Coinbase. So I just need to put my XRP in Binance so I can also receive the airdrop?
Am I right? Or it could just stay in my wallet?
2702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 06, 2020, 09:13:42 PM

Spurs are having hard time because they had players like Bryn Forbes and Bellineli who to be frank were very good offensive players but were very big liability on defense, patty mills is like that as well but at least he tries, fails but tries. This year with those players gone and a potential that Demar actually could play at 4 (or at least at 3) there is a big chance we could see dejounte, white, keldon and lonnie play a lot more minutes this year, and that will help the team not only make it to playoffs but also grow their young talents a lot better this year.
Yeah, they missed playoffs last year because of Covid and then Aldridge getting injured.
But I dont think Pops will let slide a back to back non playoffs year.
He is not just that type to fail twice. Grin
This new players added to the team might be the recipe to complete whatever he is cooking right now to make DeRozan shine more.
2703  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3rd times the charm 20K on: December 06, 2020, 07:29:41 PM
Let's not forget its also the sell point of those who want at least ROI from 2017.
Then there are those who just want profit riding the dump that will come and buy back at a lower price.

This will be another unpredictable end of the year.
Will panic win and most whales will sell?
Or will it be FOMOs that will take BTC to a new ATH?
2704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the odds of other outcomes matter to you? on: December 06, 2020, 06:10:02 PM
I want to write a short clarification because while the comments point out aspects worthy of discussion, it seems to me that many don't understand what I'm asking. I'm not asking whether 1.36 and 1.46 is a big enough difference for you. I'm asking if other odds against 1.36 and against 1.46 matter (how likely is the draw and the win of another team for a particular match, considered separately against the likeliest winner).
Perhaps I should explain why it feels important to me. So if we're not considering betting on the underdog, doesn't it matter how likely are other outcomes? If the lowest odds are 1.3, but there's also a 2.3 for, say, a draw, would not it make you less confident about your own bet than if the odds for this outcome were 3.1?
Clarification is still not easy to understand.  Grin
You mean, why do they still put odds to the underdogs yet we could already see who the winner will be just by looking at the odds?
Doesn't it matter how close or how far the competitor is?
I usually bet for underdogs in the NBA. I guess some of the members here know that.
So yes, it does matter if the numbers can be seen.
Somehow it gives an idea to the bettor on how strong the other team will be.
But, high-risk takers will always be there and I respect those guys for their courage in going against the flow.
It may also be because they don't like small profits. Yeah, just like me. I like to do it in one explosive win.
2705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy 5 coins and wait till each of them grows 10%, then sell on: December 06, 2020, 03:47:34 PM
Have you decided on what altcoins will it be?
I mean, that is the first thing you should do.
Filter the ones who are really moving at percent every week or month then check if they really good coins.
I prefer the old ones of course.

It's a good strategy but what if 3/5 will be on the losing side because of wrong picks?
You should also have a backup strategy if ever that will happen.
2706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 06, 2020, 01:04:26 PM
Yeah, my problem with my e-mail too after joining one bounty before.
Now, I got airdrop mail and a lot of trash.
Well, I have seen managers that are doing good hiding these things.
Most of them are the good ones which also puts projects at higher success rates.
Maybe you just joined the wrong project and manager. I did. Put them all in my spam lists.  Grin

https://www.nba.com/news/beal-excited-for-spark-westbrook-will-bring-to-wizards

I'm happy to hear this kind of news, it's so positive that a start player of Wizards are excited to play with Westbrook. Hopefully their chemistry will be develop easily, one of them needs to adjust, I guess it will be Beal because Westbrook will always be himself, aggressive and willing to shot the ball without hesitation.
2 ball handlers and also aggressive at finishing in the paint.
But it can't be all offense for these two. They also need to contribute with the defense which will matter a lot for the Wizards to succeed.
Maybe just taking Wizards back to the playoffs is a good step already.

Good news for Spurs fans.
The goal for the Spurs remains the same: to make the playoffs

2708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government don't accept Bitcoin. on: December 05, 2020, 08:07:24 AM
There is no way you can explain it if you are just an average person in your country.
But, if you know someone in a good position in your government then maybe you could pass a suggestion.
You will still need to find out if he is also a cryptocurrency supporter especially Bitcoin.

For now, what you could do is keep it in a non-custodial wallet.
But the ways to buy Bitcoin will also be difficult.
2709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 05, 2020, 05:09:04 AM
he is now helping a struggling team, so if he can bring the Wizards to the playoffs, then we could say it's a success for him and he fits to the team.
Good point. He may add some color to a dull team.  Grin
Ever since Wall was out, there is just not much entertainment watching a Wizards game.
I doubt people will be surprise if Warriors will be in the playoffs, looking at the NBA futures odds., they are in the top 5 favorites to win in a championship, west teams only.

Yeah, I think GSW fans are looking forward to Curry and Wiggins tandem.
A new splash brother if it will work.
Maybe this is also the time Wiggins can prove why he was the number 1 draft pick.
2710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Data safety on Centralized exchanges on: December 04, 2020, 05:13:55 PM
I think most of the members here know that except for newbies of course.
The ones who just started knowing what cryptocurrencies are and then exchanges.

Also, the reason why I don't do KYC's on some exchange platform.
Binance for example. You still have a 2 BTC limit so if you are trading below that then, there is no need for a KYC.
You are in Bitcointalk. Discussions about privacy mean a lot.
2711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 04, 2020, 02:35:22 PM
Exactly, but I believe he will finally find a place to stay and retire, though Beal is the leader of the team but the respect to westbrook is still high.
What they really need is just a chemistry since both are great players, they can improve their team by helping each other, work as a team, not individually.
I hope so.
But it may also be the same as what happened with Houston. He may try to request a trade if he didn't like what is happening with the Wizards management.
I guess he got so much used to how he was handled in OKC.

The tweet was hilarious, https://twitter.com/TheHoopCentral/status/1329943712265211904/photo/1
he did not really stay with the Lakers though.
And he already had an answer.  Grin

"At one point, I did," Howard said with a smile, when asked if he thought he had an offer in the opening hours of free agency. "That's when you saw the infamous tweet, because I really thought I was going back. But it was no offer.

"And I understand it's a business. The Lakers did what they felt was in their best interest, and I'm just very thankful for them giving me an opportunity to come back to L.A., and to just have an opportunity to win a championship.
He really thought he will be signed again. Well, I thought too. He did a great job during the playoffs.
2712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: does it really make sense trading on Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2020, 11:08:29 AM
On the other hand I always had to live side by side with those who call themselves holders, i.e. those who don't take decisions.
Do you really think it's that easy to control the urge to sell?
It's always a mental fight when you are a holder.
You know you have the funds and yet you cannot even decide whether to sell it or not.
Letting it rot or sell it for a possible increase in the number of bitcoin to be held after buying back at a lower price.
I'll tell you, they always have that deciding moment in their life whenever Bitcoin is jumping up.
There are times it won't even let you sleep or dream about it by thinking too much.
2713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 04, 2020, 09:50:49 AM
Are you saying "rigged" games are still happening?

Bad luck or just too greedy. That's what I think it's all about.
Wrong bet, wrong time.
It happens. I am sure about that and I experienced it too.
But, I don't blame anything or anyone for it. Every bet is always risky and there's no way you can run from that.
That's a fact.
2714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IF ONLY BOUNTIES WILL KEEP THEIR PROMISES. on: December 04, 2020, 07:12:55 AM
What's the point?
You could state it directly and short.
"If only bounty hunters did their homework."
That is? To review everything even at the smallest detail.

I doubt they did.
I am not saying all of them but most are just entering the bounty job dazzled by how much money was offered.
It's a fact.
If you ask them, they don't even know what the project is all about.
I'm not against bounty hunters but I am against those who blame the management and burst into madness after a bad experience even though s/he didn't even try to understand what he stepped into.
2715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 04, 2020, 04:49:27 AM
Nah, I don't think that Washington will stick to the old play design for John Wall, they are totally different and it won't work on WB here. And it's the worst thing a coach will do, used a design play for other players. Coaches are smart and that's why they are there, to create a new tactic for WB alone.

And I agree, yeah, it's a weird trade, but both players wanted to get out of their previous team, so it's easy to do the trade and then hope for the best result this season.
With Wall out, it's Beal's team now and not WB.
He's a newcomer in the East and will look at him as a rookie again.
It's sad to see WB being passed on to different teams. He used to be a player that sticks in one team long term.
At 32 years old, he can still do so much, and yet he is being moved a lot being treated like he's already a veteran.

This is not really shocking news.
Anthony Davis signs new deal with Lakers
We all know he is signing back to the Lakers. We just don't know how much the contract will be.
So now its done.
2716  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good time to invest? on: December 03, 2020, 05:45:33 PM
I guess no one wants to be the guy that will be blamed on at the end.
So you decide for yourself.
The truth is no one knows where it will go and this kind of high price of Bitcoin is the scariest of all if you are either a buyer or a seller.
Regrets for sellers and fear for buyers that it might be their wrong decision.
Good luck mate.

Short term, I doubt you will make a lot.
In long term a higher possibility.
2717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 03, 2020, 03:41:48 PM
With regards to them being a playoff contender, with their current roster I don't think so unless WB and Beal will be a good duo like AD-LBJ that they can carry the team as a whole.
Westbrook never had an effective duo, when he paired with, they were almost perfect but in reality they don't really have a good chemistry, that's why Durant wants out of OKC because he believe with Westbrook they will never win a championship. We also see Westbrook and PG tandem, it doesn't work because westbrook had an awful shooting percentage and bad decision making, same with Harden Tandem, so I don't really expect here.

Westbrook is good if he is the one who will just score, but then what would it lead to the team?
Thank you.
No disrespect to WB but I think that is how I will stretch it too.  Grin
He had never been a good partner and he ain't a wingman too. He's good, there's no doubt about that but there is always something lacking in him.
A good center or a forward maybe a good choice to mix with him. But another point guard? Argh. I don't know.

Yeah, let's just see where this will go when the game starts.
I hope there is a betting line on how bad decisions are with all these trades.
Like, if the Wizards will have a 0-20 record then I win.  Grin JK

All my other predictions come true (you may check bitcoin forum) but still there is no whale who ever donated a penny.
Proof, please? Or do you want us to dig your post history just to look for it which could be a waste of time for us.
If I were you, next time I'd put the links initially.
Just screaming around with nothing to back it up it like a balloon popping with no surprise inside.  Grin

Libra. Government is against it.
So you won't need to worry about it.
It needs to pass that line first before it could even go mainstream.
2719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you trust the Code or Human? on: December 03, 2020, 08:41:13 AM
There is different between DeFi and DEX, the security of DEX is not comparable to that of CEX, it works better IMO but DEFI (decentralized Finance) projects are suffering from imperfections, probably because DeFi is still new? Well right now it's better to give DeFi projects some space, I've invested in there DeFi projects so far and I don't tend on doing more than that, it's better to trust centralized projects more right now, DeFi isn't strong yet and maybe in near future things might turn around
You see that's the real problem.
Why release a project to the public without knowledge of strong security?
Postpone it and create something almost perfect.
I haven't invested in one DeFi project yet because I have learned my lessons during the ICO's hype.
I think this is just the same. Just changing how it's called or just scrambling how the system will work.
2720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 03, 2020, 05:33:59 AM
Just in: Washington Wizards John Wall and a first-round pick was traded to Rockets for Russell Westbrook. Seems a fine trade let's see what they gonna build this time for the Rockets after that worst trade we see last season.

https://dknation.draftkings.com/2020/12/2/22149403/russell-westbrook-john-wall-trade-rockets-wizards-nba-rumors-news-report
What!!!?
That's a bad trade in my opinion.
I don't know what the Wizards management is thinking about making this kind of decision.
Could they see the future that Wall might get injured again?  Grin So they'd rather take a non-prime WB than taking risk of another year of injury.
WB and Beal? Hmmm. I don't know if it will work. Harden and WB didn't work and it's almost the same.
