2721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does holding long term can be worthy despite of unpredictable market? on: May 23, 2018, 12:08:29 PM
According to my preference, I prefer to hodl especially these bearish days rather than trying to adapt every fluctuations. I'm not scared to bitcoin's volatility, what I only mean is I'm just playing safe because predicting what happens next on the market is very hard to predict. So to avoid committing mistakes, I just only sell my coins when the trend on graph is high and stays for a long time (in short, much stable).

In the end, it's still your decision whether you'll play safe like what I did or you will surf with the tides. Good luck Smiley.
2722  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Happy Bitcoin pizza day! on: May 23, 2018, 08:38:09 AM
Oh really?! So cool! Happy bitcoin pizza day to everyone Roll Eyes.

Actually, I posted a meme about this in my Fb wall last Monday (just saying) and there is something I am really curious about, what happened to the seller of pizza? Did he hold his btc and became a millionaire or just forget about it since btc was small in value that time? Anyway, this story never fails me to amaze and laugh at the same time every time I hear it because who would imagine that a 2 pizza worth of btc before grew and now a huge treasure.
2723  Other / Meta / Re: Full articles without link to the original in the Bitcoin Discussion on: May 22, 2018, 11:58:53 PM
In my perspective, copying an article as exact as what is being written is considered as plagiarism. Rephrasing some ideas on the original but the thoughts remain the same, plus, the there is no citation included is also considered as plagiarism. So if you are able to see those kind of posts not only on the bitcoin discussion but in the forum as a whole and you can justify your accusation by showing an evidence then do not hesitate to report it to the moderators. Or at least post on threads concerning about copy-paste posts here in Meta so that other members wipl be alarmed regarding this.

Such acts should not be tolerated because it contributes bad effects her inside our forum.
2724  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has Bitcoin started its uplift ?? on: May 22, 2018, 02:24:44 PM
I don't think so dude, just only a day passed and btc's price already dropped around $8720. This is not definitely a good sign for btc. So for your question, my answer is NO (right this very moment). But well, I'm still hoping that btc will finally recover soon. Don't lose hope, maybe June is the month where btc skyrockets, who knows? Grin

2726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you should do when you lose most of money? on: May 22, 2018, 07:34:06 AM
To be honest, I will understand a particular person if he decide to quit after a devastating loss because that's a natural response of a human. Even if we advice him to follow the steps you suggested, his mind will not accept it easily since fear and frustration already come into him.

Actually your steps are quite nice, maybe I'll say it but  will not definitely push it into someone who lose a lot because I know that he is still hesitant and confused. Hence, I will advice him to take a break first, give him plenty of time to analyze his mistakes and let him be the one who provide solutions for it (with my advice of course). And when he already recovered then he is now ready to back on track as a wiser person.
2727  Economy / Economics / Re: its not about how much you invested, its when you should invest? on: May 22, 2018, 06:05:27 AM
kinda strange when investing in a volitile  market. you can spend 10,000 $ into the market in january and come out less. than what a person invested in april with 10,000 $.
IMO, that's not strange at all. It already came from your own word - "volatile" which means not stable. You should already anticipated that losses might happen from the very beginning before you invest. What did you expect in crypto world, invest today and wealthy tomorrow? It is not easy as that, you should work hard and be prepared for the worst.

Anyway, I agree what you've said in the title of your thread. The capital you will use is not that all matters because you can still create some profits by investing in proper timing. So it will be good if you will always stick to the Buy low, Sell high plan.
2728  Other / Meta / Re: Appreciate merit system being a Newbie on: May 22, 2018, 04:40:09 AM
No offense sir but do you believe that tongue is a two edge sword? How ironic that you disagree with other members creating unwanted posts but what seems right now is you also do the same act. I don't say that your post is not substantial, this kind of posts just already done many times before (replies from other members are all right).

I believe that you are not spamming, I believe that you only express your ideas about improving the forum, but how about other's perpception? You can't control what they're thinking so I think much better for you to play safe, avoid creating threads that are almost the same with previous ones and continue being a good member here.

You have a great attitude by the way, keep it up and good luck to your journey Smiley.
2729  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Best place to find / post memes on: May 20, 2018, 02:16:07 PM
I love memes especially the dank ones. And when it comes to memes about crypto, I just visit "Bitcoin Expert" page on Facebook. Try ro check it out, I'm pretty sure you will relate and laugh at the same time Grin.

Going back to the topic, honestly I don't prefer to visit his website not because the quality of his memes are poor but because it's hassle to do so. I just don't like to create a new tab and open a new website in order to see memes where in the first place I can have it while browsing my news feed at the same time, I know that it sounds so lazy but that's what I'm really thinking about.

@OP - I suggest you to make a meme page on FB. Through this, I'm sure your memes can now attract likers easily and maybe goes viral, who knows?
2730  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which altcoin other than ethereum is best to invest and trade? on: May 20, 2018, 01:22:18 AM
I'm no longer interested to buy altcoins this time (that's why my etn get stocked for a long time) because I mainly focuses to btc first. But if ever I'll buy a new coin/s then I'll go for Ripple, Monero and Bitcoin Cash since they are obviously above others — meaning, much worth investing for. Maybe I consider Hydro and Netkoin also because it seems that they are now on trend.

Actually there are plenty of coins in the market to choose from so be wise and good luck for choosing the coin that you think you can make lots of profit Smiley.
2731  Other / Meta / Re: Blackmailing me for my services! on: May 19, 2018, 11:59:45 PM
Nice move! I'm glad you do not let him scare the out of you and report him instead. Ignore the one who is blackmailing you (unless he's stating fatal threats) and let the moderators give the right punishment for him. Always keep standing for what is good and what is right.

Payment received, thanks sir yahoo Smiley.
2733  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything you need to know about the Bitcoin on: May 19, 2018, 12:09:12 PM
6. Was the bitcoin used by drug traffickers?
So, when his initial goal was a certain anonymity. It has been used and continues to be used by sites that sell everything from weapons to drugs. In 2013, federal agents found and closed an anonymous e-commerce store with a turnover of $ 1.2 billion - Silk Road (Silk Road). However, soon his place was occupied by others. Joseph Stiglitz, winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics, recently said that bitcoin should be banned because it was designed to avoid regulation and "does not perform any socially useful function."
Hmm, I strongly disagree with sir Joseph. I'm not saying that bitcoin is purely good because it obviously serves as the gateway of bad people to do their transactions on the deep web but I think saying "does not perform any socially useful function" is way too much. I'm pretty sure that Satoshi Nakamoto has no intention to use his invention for bad purposes, it's just like that it is inevitable to prohibit this technology from evil hands.
10. Is this a bubble?
Maybe. Some people, especially James Damon, Chief Executive Officer of JPMorgan Chase, call bitcoin "fraud." However, its own bank holding is considering the possibility of providing customers with bitcoin futures. Billionaire Mike Novograts calls cryptology "the biggest bubble of our time," and at the same time launches a $ 500 million fund to invest in it.[/size]

So you are also believing that btc is only a bubble that will burst anytime? That people will lose interest to it someday? I don't think so Smiley. I'm not getting overconfident but I really sense that btc and the concept of cryptocurrency as a whole will stay unless mankind find a new system better than this.
2734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HONEST QUESTION: would YOU be tempted to manipulate BTC to make HUGE profits? on: May 19, 2018, 10:03:05 AM
Honestly, I never imagined that I will be in the middle on that kind of scenario because I'm only a small investor first and foremost. But assuming that I have a huge investment in btc up to extent that it can cause changes on the price (though nearly impossible because I'm only a single entity) then I'm willing to manipulate the market because that's a great opportunity to make profits. Who doesn't want to earn more? No one, right?

Between the choices you've said, I'll go for the first one because that's not totally complicated to do since you are only relying on the simple "Buy low, Sell high" principle.
2735  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Price - Crypto Currency Value Hits $9000 Mark on: May 19, 2018, 04:20:57 AM
2736  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Merch Store (Tees,Hoodies and Mugs) on: May 18, 2018, 11:55:34 PM
Let us know what you think.
I checked your whole collection and IMO, it's quite simple (no "boom factor").
- Overall, it's good but more creativity is needed.
@OP ~ Sir SFR10 is right, your designs are simple (no offense). I noticed that your designs are only composed of the the name and logo of the coin, much better if you'll ad more details. Just do the same with the shirts you included on the cryprocurrency tag, I like most of the tees there especially the "Gonna Hodl 'em all" shirt with logo of different kinds of coins and the "HODL" shirt with a Nike logo; they are more attractive to my eyes Smiley.

Anyway, your shirts are heat-pressed or silk screened? And IMO $20+ is too expensive for a shirt? (I know that's business so just nevermind)
2737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do You looking for in ICO? on: May 18, 2018, 03:27:40 PM
Aside from those things, I look for its popularity.  I include this in the things that I consider because that's my way of predicting if that coin will be a succesful one or not. If I'm scrolling down in my crypto-related pages/groups in FB and found several posts about that coin with good reviews of course then I pressume that it has a good reputation. It will not become famous for nothing. I'm prerty sure that many people invest to it because it has a potential.

Examples that I can give is Electroneum and Hydro. I always see them in my news feed and seems I'm right, they're having the advantage among others.
2738  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is worth buying coins under $1? on: May 17, 2018, 11:58:18 AM
I think aside from the price, there are lots of factors need to be considered when buying an alt. Don't be easily deceive by the cheap price of a particular coin because it will only become a waste of money if the potential of such coin is very low. For me, I'm willing to buy a less cheaper (e.g. Ltc, ripple, monero) but progressive alt rather than a much cheaper but useless coin (like zap token).

Anyway, if you are looking for a cheap coin but has a potential then I suggest you to look at Etn. This project became successful in its ICO and already out in the market. Etn has a mobile mining app, cool right? Smiley
2739  Other / Meta / Re: How Secure is BitcoinTalk? on: May 16, 2018, 08:11:30 AM
First of all, I admire you for having the guts to continue engaging with crypto and also for not feeling discouraged at all despite the fact that it is banned in your country. At the same time, I'm a little bit worried to you because you may possibly punished by the law if ever you are proven guilty.

I'm not a total geek about computer stuffs but what I can suggest you is to use a VPN to hide your IP because that makes you anonymous everytime you will access the internet. I hope it helps.
2740  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do in this Dip on: May 16, 2018, 05:28:57 AM
If you still can afford to buy coins then go while this dip lasts, IMO that's the best thing to do — making a bad situation favorable to you. Anyway, your options are all great so you don't need to worry too much for picking the right one but if I were you I'll go with btc or eth.
should i sell off some alt coins and re buy at a lower price, since everything is still falling?
thoughts?
thanks

Hmm, for me that's a little bit risky because we don't actually know what happens next. Assuming that you did your plan, it's a good news if the price will continue to drop because you will have a chance to buy in lower price. But what if what happens is the opposite? How can you recover your losses? My suggestion is do not sell your coins but remain hodling instead, if the price drop again then buy even more and if rises then sell. I think that's a safer strategy Smiley.
