I am not surprised that this was only a rumor as Renato Sanches never seemed really happy at Bayern. I really like this player and i was very happy when he joined Bayern back in 2016, when he was considered as one of the biggest talents in Europe, but unfortunately he could never really succeed there. He has a short successful phase there during the Niko Kovac era but that also did not last long. I guess he was still too young back then, to go to a new club in a new country with a language that you don't understand is pretty hard. Now he is 23 years old and more experienced so i would be really happy if he would come back to Bayern, to prove that he is really that good.
2742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative to USDT on: June 22, 2021, 10:16:11 AM
Recently we see more news about Tether going shady and stuff and deep inside I know Tether will fall or get their asses in trouble with the government at some point.

This made me wonder which alternative stablecoin would be the best choice instead of USDT.  I was thinking about USDC but it has adoption problem. AFAIK USDC can be bought only in Coinbase and Turkish exchange called BTCTurk.

As you already said, we can not be sure anymore if every USDT is backed with a real USD anymore because they changed the wording back in 2019 from "every USDT printed is backed by a real USD" to "we have enough reserves to cover every USDT printed". USDC is a good alternative as it is "owned" by Coinbase and therefore audited regularly, so you can be sure that every USDC is still backed by a real USD. Also it is not true that you can buy USDC only on Coinbase and BTCTurk. There are FIAT/USDC pairs on kraken and BitAmp which means you can buy UDSC there directly from your bank account. And USDC trading paris with other cryptos are basically on every exchange so USDC is widely adopted.

Say goodbye to Russia, Turkey, and Macedonia. Congrats on the perfect team Italy, Belgium, and Netherland with 3 winnings (perfect score).

Interesting table, thanks for that. Great performance so far from Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. Italy has now not lost any of it's last 30 matches, that's a quite remarkable statistic if you ask me. That Russia and especially Turkey are already out is a surprise to me as i would have guessed that Turkey can at least reach the quarter-final and it even was a secret favorite to for a lot of experts, but they just couldn't deliver in this tournament. That France is already qualified with it's four points also means that Portugal and Germany will also be qualified it both manage to at least achieve a draw in their last matches.

There are a lot of dumb money in the space, that feel it is as easy as ABC to make money in Crypto, Whales will shake all these people out first and move the price back up. The most important thing in the space now is to have a clear investment thesis of why you are investing into the space

Well my investment thesis at the moment is quite simple. My portfolio value is already down to 1/8th of its ATH back in the beginning of may, so i will just keep on hodling everything until the market recovers even if it takes a long time. I should have sold a part of my portfolio a few weeks ago but i did not but to sell now feels even wronger to me. I am still in the profit zone and i only invested money that i can afford to lose without any effect on my daily life or stuff like that so everything is fine in that regard but of course it's still pretty sad to see your portfolio losing value almost every single day since a few weeks now. I hope the market stabilizes now.

Switzerland 2 - Turkey 0

LoL, We are again playing like shit. At least score a goal in the tournament you fuckers is this too much to ask?

*Shaqiri missed the 3rd goal of his team as I was typing this. Lmao, what a disgrace.

Turkey have been the worst team in this tournament so far. They are no different in this game also. What a shame that they still don't care about anything! Mert Muldur is trying his best as his teammates are just the worst. This will be an easy win for Switzerland.

To be fair, this game is so far pretty balanced with no clear advantages for any team at least in terms of statistics except for the goals though of course, but overall i have to agree that turkey is maybe not the worst team of the tournament but probably the biggest disappointment of this tournament so far. Before the tournament started i saw a lot of experts and reporters that said that turkey is one of the secret favourite for the title this year and as of now it looks like that they will be eliminated from the tournament with 0 points and 0 goals scored. Group stages in Euros are tough though and way harder than in World cups because the quality density is just way higher in EUROs.
2746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 20, 2021, 02:13:59 PM
France is the reigning world champion, and Portugal the reigning European champion, there is no better poster. They are just unlucky that they are in the same group with Germany. normally france wins this match, then france would win the group, germany 2nd and portugal third. and probably all through to the next round. would be a shame if one of those 3 already got eliminated.

It would really be a shame that one of those 3 teams will maybe be eliminated. Before yesterdays matches i would have never thought that there would even be a slight possibility that France might not advance after their very good performance against germany, but now it is very much possible that they are on the 3rd rank after the group stage. I think the chances of Portugal beating France are not that small and Germany is the clear favorite against Hungary especially because Hungary will not have the advantage of a fully sold out stadium in the next game because they have to face Germany in Munich.
2747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so heavily undervalued? on: June 20, 2021, 02:08:17 PM
I was just wondering why this coin is extremely undervalued when compared to the rest?

What do you think?

I don't think that monero is "extremely" undervalued because if you look at coinmarketcap then it is still a top 25 coin with a market cap of over 4,5 billion $ i would say thats a pretty big marketcap. It is also true though that all privacy coins during the last bullrun from end of 2020 until May 2021 did  by far not perform as good as other old and established coins because if you look at dash then it it obvious that it did not even reach half the price of its all time high that it had back in 2017.
The reason for that is probably that privacy coins where just not in the focus of most crypto investors during the last bullrun because Defi is now the number 1 topic and the platforms that those defi projects are built on.
2748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stable coins take control of Bitcoin as crypto adoption in the future? on: June 19, 2021, 07:41:34 PM
A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency that is backed, added, or backed by an underlying asset. low volatility with stablecoins being the main benefit to continue to attract both individual and institutional interest. Exchange rate stability is useful for both holders and those trying to integrate Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies into the wider financial system.

But an investemnt into stable coins makes no sense because as the name already indicates the price of them is stable. The reason why stable coins exist is the need of crypto investors for a save haven currency that is on the blockchain because if you keep your funds as FIAT on a Bank account then you can not react quickly if you suddenly want to buy a certain coin because the price dumped because a bank transfer usually takes 3 days and then the buying opportunity is probably gone. So yes stable coins are an important "tool" within the crypto-sphere but only as a place to park your funds.
2749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 19, 2021, 10:36:50 AM

Group F: Portugal vs Germany
The most anticipated game of the day. Germany needs to win to be able to stay in the Euro, but Portugal is very motivated after starting the competition well.
Portugal is able to win, but it won't be easy. I see a final result in a tie.

If you compare the squads player by player than i would say that germany has the stronger team and should normally be the favorite here, but germany is already under a lot of pressure because they must win this game while portugal is seemingly in a more comfortable position because they won their first match obviously. That being said i think that Portugal must not lose this game too because i would expect that Germany beats Hungary in their last game and that France will be the favorite against Portugal in their next match. So both teams must perform today and it depends on which team can handle the pressure better.
2750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 18, 2021, 09:31:58 PM

As they said, whoever has Wyvern in this current meta wins. I remember that nigma plays wyvern + warlock supports, and the carries became immortal like crazy. The healing meta is real

Well at least in game 3 now in the series of OG vs. Nigma the wyvern could not prevent the loss of nigma even though Gh made some great plays with it even in this match but it wasn't enough. It was a weird series between OG and Nigma. In the first match OG was up for a long time but then 1 good teamfight from nigma turned the game around and nigma could not be stopped from that point on. In game 2 OG totally dominated the game with a Topson Hoodwink carry and game 3 was almost similar to game 1 but only the other way around as Nigma was leading but then they pushed to far and got killed in OG's base.
I really expected a clear 2-0 win for Nigma here and i am still not sure if OG won because they played so well or because Nigma played so bad. This just proofs again that Dota Matches are hard to predict.
2751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 18, 2021, 04:02:04 PM

a bit later, the highlight today: Nigma - OG. Bookmakers don't seen to be falling for the hype around SumaiL, Nigma are the heavy favorites at 1.5 odds. Ez nigma -1.5 handicap?

I also think that Nigma should clearly win their series 2-0 against OG today. Yes OG beat Team Liquid with 2-0 but that was also because team liquid lost their midlander sumail to OG and had to replace them and even with sumail Team Liquid did not perform well and went out in the groupstage with 5-9 games. If nigma makes no weird experiments in the drafts then they should win both matches pretty clearly in my opinion. Yesterday they won 2-1 against a Team Secret which is usually very strong also if i remember correctly OG can not reach the TI in this tournament they need to do it via the open qualifiers which means OG could do some crazy drafts.

Why do I see legit coins with real utility and transparent, excellent devs not doing well but shitty meme coins just flying?

Some times the markets and especially the crypto market is hard to explain and acts seemingly without any logic. I strongly dislike the meme-coin hype since it started two month ago or so because it takes away money and liquidity away from real projects. I guess that meme-coins were so hyped and so popular was the fact that some people made crazy profits with the earliest second gen meme-coins like shiba-inu or safemoon and then of course once those stories go public that some guy made 200.000 $ out of 100$ a lot of people are attracted by that and throw some money into one of those meme-coins that pop up each and every day. I also think though that those times are over and those profits could only be made by very early investors of one of those early meme-coins and nowadays the meme-coin hype is already dying.
2753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 18, 2021, 10:43:24 AM
If people didn't make money yesterday from gambling on the matches of Euro 2020 then I don't know what to say.Yesterday was the perfect day for me and a lot of others I guess because all the games ended like predicted with Ukraine,Belgium and Netherlands winning their games.Today games are a bit more difficult but I think Sweden should win,I will not touch Croatia vs Czech Republic game and England of course should win easily against Scotland.

It's true, yesterday's encounters really did all turn out the way most expected, so everyone who placed safe bets yesterday should have made some nice profits. To be honest i expected that Austria would be able to achieve at least a draw against the Netherlands yesterday and i think it would have been possible, but alaba just had a horrible day yesterday with a penalty caused that lead to the first goal for the Netherlands and afterwards he lost the ball and tried and offside trap that didn't work which lead to the second goal. I guess he just should have played in the midfield and not as a central defender.
2754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The notion that “Ethereum is a shitcoin” is passé in 2021. on: June 18, 2021, 10:35:01 AM
How can people like Max Keiser and Tone Veys still call Ethereum a shitcoin? I get all of ETHs flaws, but it is a working function product. Stablecoins are useful. DEXs are useful. These people are starting to sound like the Peter Shiffs of Bitcoin.

Wouldn’t these people root for DEXs to succeed? They love that Bitcoin is decentralized, DEXs are certainly less centralized than Coinbase.

Can someone justify this to me? I don’t get it.

I would say that the statement "ethereum is a shitcoin" is passé  since 2015. How someone could say that in 2021 is not clear to me. Ethereum is probably the most adapted blockchain that is out there, even the binance smart chain that is praised nowadays for it's low fees and almost instant transactions is basically just a copy and paste of ethereum. As others already mentioned in here, the only reason for people to call ethereum still a shitcoin is probably that they either had a lot of ETH but sold them way to early and are now jealous of ETH hodlers or they are just shillers (paid or unpaid) of competiting projects.

ESL One Summer 2021 with tons of games today, a bit overwhelming, ngl...i hope we can see Alliance - Team Secret in round 2, would be a banger

Well Alliance won that series with 2-0, good performance from them. Team secret now has to play through the lower bracket and will face Team Nigma next, which has lost 0-2 against Viking.GG which was pretty surprising to me, as Team Nigma was closest on beating PSG.LDG at the animajor.
OG also won their first series against Gambit but lost in the second round against Virtus Pro, so OG has to beat Team Liquid now in the lower bracket to advance. As far as i know even if OG wins this tournament they would not have enough DPC points to go to TI. So their last chance is to go through the EU open qualifier tournament in july.

2758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: June 17, 2021, 09:12:38 AM
Another superb performance by Italy showing their amazing gameplay and amazing tactics by their manager. 3:0 again in this match and are in the next round. Turkey is probobly out of the tournament need a miracle to go through to the next round. They lost to wales just 0:2 could have been more. But could have even been a draw if Burak scored that goal in the second half

Italy looked really strong so far in the two games that they have played. I mean Turkey was considered one of the secret favourites before the tournament and they easily beat them with 3-0 and yesterday they also completely dominated a swiss team that has also very good players and are usually very strong but yesterday against italy they didn't have a chance. Turkey also lost again yesterday against wales and and is now almost certainly out of the tournament which is surprising to me but they are also in a pretty balanced group of where every team except from italy, is pretty much on the same level.
2759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins have no use case on: June 17, 2021, 08:53:18 AM
Looks like it turned out right for Meme coins, market is very bearish right now for Meme coins.

Considering only to buy a useful projects has better chances and potential.  Smiley

Yeah thank god the hype about meme-coins without any actual use-case seems to die out slowly at the moment and rightfully so. I have always been of the opinion that this sudden hype about meme-coins that started 2 months ago or so was very harmful for the whole crypto space and at least in my opinion also one of the main reasons why we the market started to dump in mid may. I mean one or two  new meme-coins are hurting nobody but during the peak of the meme-coin hype there were dozens of those coins coming out every single day and many of them had tradings volumes of 10M$ and even way more.
2760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does implementing a tax on a gambling platform really help a country? on: June 16, 2021, 11:13:21 AM
I don't like the idea of a tax on profit that you made with gambling or betting. I know of course that the income of taxes is the engine that keeps countries running and enables investments into the infrastructure and so on. My problem with the gambling tax is, that the money that gamblers use for gambling was already taxed because, at least in most cases, they got that money from their job, which means they already paid wage tax for that. Now they risk this money for gambling because it's their hobby and for the case that they are successful and make some profit with it they have to pay taxes on that profits again. That kind of double taxation just sounds not fair to me.
I strongly disagree with you. Usually a tax would also count for your winnings. E.g. you go into the casino with 100 USD. You leave it with 110 USD. So you will have to pay a tax just for the 10 USD in winnings. Your argument is as a consequnce quite bad, because there in no double-tax-evnt in this case.
I know that in the case of a tax on gambling and betting you would only need to pay taxes on your potential winnings. I said that the money that you bring into the casino, which is the 100$ in your example, have already been taxed because i would assume in most cases that money was earned by means of occupation. So the 100$ where once like 130$ or so before you had to pay wage tax. Therefore i think that every profit that you make out of those already taxed 100$ should be free of any additional tax because, at least for me, that is double taxation. I am aware that this is also the case with profits from shares and interest, but I think it is just as wrong there.
It's ok that we have different opinions  Smiley.
