1761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: February 25, 2022, 09:37:04 AM

The Dortmund team has disappointed us. However, after watching the first leg performance against Rangers, I did not have the courage to bet on Dortmund's victory. However, if Haaland was in the squad, the result of the match would have been in favor of Dortmund. It is hard to stick with Haaland. It is now clear that Dortmund are not a strong enough team and that they don't deserve to win the title. They have been eliminated from the Europa League. They will not be able to win the Bundesliga title either.

Dortmund showed a really disappointing performance in those two legs against the Glasgow Rangers. I mean their whole international season this year was very disappointing for me. In the champions league they were in a group with Ajax, Sporting and Besiktas so i would say they should have won that group, but they did not even manage to make the second place their which was really really bad already. Then when they were relegated to the Europa League the boss of Dortmund said that the goal is now to win the Europa League but now they are all already out of the competition after the frist play off round against a club that should be at least one tier below them.
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bounty Campaign a Sustainable way to grow your Crypto Community? on: February 25, 2022, 09:33:12 AM
No doubtful, bounty campaigns draws a ton of attention to your community and enlighten potential investors about your project. But at the long run, is this development sustainable? Is it reliable enough to grow your project?

I think a bounty campaign can be good for a project or company or it can be bad, it all depends on how the metrics of the bounty are. For example i think the bounty campaings from the casino and betting sites (like the one i am wearing) should be worth the money for those projects. People in this forum usually already are interesting in earning money and/or gambling and when they see that signature they may get tempted to try it out.
A lot of times bounties also can be very dangerous for projects especially for small ones. If you look at the altcoin bounty section then you will notice that 95%of the projects that are offerin a bounty there are very small and new which makes sense but is also dangerous, because after the bounty ends this creates a huge sell pressure from the bounty participants which could destroy the price of the token for a long time or even kill a project completely.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 24, 2022, 01:49:17 PM
The first analysis of the speed of the current Formula 1 cars in contrast to the previous ones is not as bad as expected, the cars are heavier this year and have less downforce but are currently "only" 2 to 3 seconds slower. Also the new cars seem to be very reliable, there were no big problems with the TOP teams, the season will definitely be exciting.

Article in German:

https://www.motorsport-total.com/formel-1/news/analyse-die-ersten-hinweise-auf-den-speed-der-formel-1-autos-2022-22022405

I already read in some articles that experts are expecting the new cars to be only 1,5 to 2 seconds slower than last years cars depending on the track. Of course there are heavier and have less downforce but i think the new and way bigger tires just offer way more grip than the old ones did and they are better looking of course. As far as i know there have not been any changes to the engines and to the gearboxes of the cars in comparison to the last season, which makes sense because the huge changes to the aerodynamics are already enough, therefore i think that the cars should at least be as reliable as they were last season.
1764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need advice for a token before mass buying please on: February 24, 2022, 01:41:36 PM
Hello everyone,

This is the first time I'm going to buy a Token on the BNB chain and I would like some advice before buying. In reality it is mainly to be sure that it is not a scam. An internet acquaintance recommended it to me and I'm not sure because others say it's a pump and dump token so I'm not sure what to think although it looks interesting. So if someone who knows it well could confirm to me that it is not a pump and dump that would be very nice Smiley I don't want to get dumped for my first purchase!

So the token information:

Hi and welcome to the crypto space. I have never heard of the project hat you are looking into investing before and this is not a big surprise as there a still dozens of new projects appearing each and every day and of course at least 95% are pure garbage and will be dead again in a few weeks. I just took a quick look at the website of that project and read through it and even though i have not looked to deeply into it i can definitely say, that i would never ever invest in such a project. It simply just looks like the next meme-coin (=sh*it-coin) to me. Of course it is your money and you can do with it what you want but i would not recommend to buy this token.
1765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: February 24, 2022, 09:49:43 AM
Man united got lucky today they performed really badly atletico team was much better especially on the first half they scored early and they could've added more goals in the second half man united played a little better and they managed to equalize, the second leg will be difficult its tough to predict who will get through.

I have not seen a full game of Manchester United for quite some time until yesterday and i have to say i was quite surprised about how slow and uninspired they were performing yesterday. It really seems like they are quite a bit away of the best teams of their league like ManCity and Liverpool and also from the strongest team in Europe. Cristiano Ronaldo did also perform very poorly yesterday but he also did not have much opportunities to show his class and therefore he also seemed to be quite unhappy yesterday. As you already said Manchester United was very lucky yesterday because they could have easily been 0-2 or even 0-3 behind before the half time break. Now they have good chances to advance into the next round, but of course they need to perform better in the second leg.
1766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was tempted to sell off altcoin on: February 24, 2022, 09:45:08 AM
Hello mate
Do we currently calls the market situation the bear or what?
Today I just opened my storage where i buy and stored most of my crypto coin and the rest I noticed have almost lost 60% of all my asset in dollars so I was tempted to sell off all and take a look at the market to know if there will be corrections, though I have been monitoring the market but I m not really convinced so I decided to share here to know whether I could get some people who  knows about the market to give a little breakdown before I go into such decisions.
I will really appreciate then i can know the reason for such action and decrease in most of the currencies especially BTC and BNB.

Thank you.

I will read all comments to see the reason.

Well the price drop that you witnessed today a few hours ago was because of the russian invasion of the Ukraine. This news immediately caused the financial market to drop including the traditional stock market and not only the crypto market. Of course the crypto market always drops the heaviest when stuff like that happens but that should not be to surprising to anyone. I think you did well to not sell off your coins as you would have probably sold them at the bottom. Now that the initial shock and reaction of this news of the invasion is over i don't think we will see another sharp drop of the prices soon, except there will be another surprising turn of events for the worse.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 23, 2022, 11:36:38 AM
Bundesliga table topper now Bayern Munich and second one Dortmund.Bayen, Dortmund and Leipzig won their last match in big different score. But buyern Munich suffered their form in previous two match.Dortmund played really well this Season. I think buyern Munich come back their real performance. I hope Buyern Munich will be champion in Bundesliga this season.

Definitely no big surprises when you look at the Bundesliga table at the moment as it is as usual, Bayern is at the top, followed by Dortmund. The first small surprise is maybe, that Leverkusen is currently on rank 3 and not Leipzig which had a pretty bad season so far but are doing pretty well since a few weeks now at least. I don't really agree though that Dortmund is playing really well this season as i think their performance is just way to inconsistent. Just look at the Europa League match against Glasgow Rangers which they have lost 2-4 in their own stadium, that was one of the biggest disappointments of this season so far for me. Bayern is also not playing well though that is why the Bundesliga is not decided yet.
1768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why NFT might become important in the cryptospace and the world on: February 23, 2022, 11:31:16 AM
There was a thread arguing why we should not invest in NFTs. I agree that similar to the ICOs of 2017, there will be scams and this is a good reason to avoid them. However, similar to ICOs as a democratic method to fund a project, NFT is becoming a cultural submovement that also earns income for the artists and the collectors of the artists’ work.

Also, those digital art pieces might also develop into something important in the cryptospace similar to how a Van Gogh or a Picasso are important in the physical world. This is art, this is culture and because we are humans, much of us have an inborn ability to create art and treasure art of different forms.
I speculate similar to ICOs and Defi, NFTs will be here for many years.

I think it will be similar to all the hypes that are happening within the crypto space. First a new projects appears that is doing something different and become surprisingly very successful, then the next few project that are launching that are doing the same are also still successful. Then the hype cycle has reach it's highest points and we see a lot of copycat projects that are either just trying to make a quick dollar by copying existing projects or by even being outright scams to begin with. Then the hype around those topic slowly fades away but the good projects that are existing in that segment will stay and will continue to grow and expand but those will only be a few out of those 100's that were created during the big hype.
1769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: February 23, 2022, 08:19:31 AM
Of course i win my bet.

it was so obvious that the altitude was very low, 1.30
Chelsea won against poor Lille who couldn't do otherwise, the difference was too obvious

I would have been happy to lose my 3 euros for an exciting Lille match, but unfortunately the percentages were very low

Yeah in the end the match looks pretty clear with the 2-0 win of Chelsea but i watched the whole match and i have to say that Lille was not that much worse than Chelsea yesterday. Especially after they were back 0-1 they were at least on par wit Chelsea for the rest of the first half if not the better team in my opinion, but of course it is also part of the truth that they were not able to create really big chances in this phase of the game. They only had 1 shot of Renato Sanches that was pretty far off and another shot that was directly at the goalkeeper.
I have to say though that Renato Sanches has shown again that he has great potential and i hope that he will get another chance at a big club again. Bayern Munich came just to early for him back then when he was still only 18 years old.
1770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto prices are starting to strengthen again on: February 23, 2022, 08:10:32 AM
Coinmarketcap reports that today the 10 largest market cap crypto assets have started moving back into the green in the last 24 hours.

Hopefully there will be more progress for all crypto prices.

Yes it is true that the market recovered a little yesterday we see a lot of green today too if we are looking at coinmarketcap or coingecko today, but in my opinion it is way to early to already talk about a comeback of cryptos or stuff like that again. I mean in the end it is just normal that we are seeing some slight recovery after we have seen such heavy losses withing a short period of time. Ethereum for example went from around 3100 $ to 2500$ within a few days no it climbed back to around 2700 $ so we are still way lower than we were a week ago. I think we are still not safe yet and the market  remains to be very unstable for at least a while.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: February 22, 2022, 02:46:12 PM
honestly I don't see barcelona winning the Europa League, that's because they are still not well and there are better teams in the Europa League that can win and I think that on the 2nd, napoli will beat barcelona, napoli needs to improve their defense a little more them to be able to beat barcelona more comfortably, it won't be an easy game if they don't have good defense, while barcelona don't have good defense and they make disastrous mistakes when they have the advantage, that's why I believe napoli will win

I agree. Barcelona will not make additional efforts to try to win the Europa League, the focus will continue to be on improving their ranking in the Spanish league. Also, looking at all the clubs that are in the Europa League, there are several that are playing much better than Barcelona this season. That's why I don't see Barcelona reaching the final.

I am not so sure about Barca not trying eveything to win the Europa League. I mean they have more than 1,3 Billion € of debts so they desperately need every € that they can make in this european cup. I just did a little research and the winner of the Europa League earned 15,7 Million € of prize money back in 2016 (in the Champions League it's 57,2 Million €) and in addition to that they also got a share of the 160 Million € market pool (CL: more than 500 M€). Given the fact that those numbers are 5 years old i would guess that Barca could earn easily more than 25 Million € if they are able to win the Europa League and i also think they can not afford to give up that title already because they desperately need that money.
1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 02:36:11 PM
We have media, indicators, as well as youtube and telegram channels as a means of information about cryptocurrency price movements or when to go out and enter, when the bear and bull markets arrive. I think that is enough for preparation, it's just that we often panic when we hold back, making us forget that there is always a correction or flight, we are just in a hurry, patience is also needed here besides knowledge.

The problem is you can not really trust those sources because all of them are following their own agenda. I mean just look at the youtube channel of those crypto influencers. 99% of them are just shilling the tokens that they own themself in order to pump up the price and then they can dump on their poor followers. This also often happens with new projects, where the influencers have a chance to buy into the private sale of the project for a discount. Then they start shiling this project like crazy and then once their tokens are unlocked they dump on their followers that bought the tokens on launch for a way higher price. That's just how it goes.
Maybe you can follow the general media about stuff like the crisis in the Kkraine at the moment this might help a little to predict the price movements.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 22, 2022, 09:42:17 AM
Dortmund seemed very eager to win against Gladbach after losing against Rangers in the Europa League by a 2-4 score. And they got all they wanted from this Bundesliga game by demolishing Gladbach home, 6-0. Gladbach were already in a miserable condition in this season and they got another big hit by Dortmund. They are really helpless and they are just hoping to stay in the league. It was nice to see Dortmund playing like this and I see that Haaland is back now too.

I did not see this match completely but what i heard and read about it was that the first half was pretty balanced and that Gladbach also had chances to score, so it could have also been a draw in the first half, then in the second half Gladbach was still doing ok in the first few minutes but when Dortmund scored the 3-0 then they team of Gladbach just fell apart completely and then they received 3 more goals in only 15 minutes. So even though a final result of 6-0 looks like Gladbach had no chance at any point of the game in reality the match was pretty close up until the 70th minute. Of course the victory of Dortmund was absolutely deserved.
1774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 09:37:35 AM
No matter how high crypto coins go bear market is unavoidable it's just the way the market survives, many people are brainwashed with present market condition that they already forget what bear market is, no amount of money can stop bear market from happening, don't say I don't warn you be prepared.

I would say we already kind of are in a bear market since may 2021, if you look at the overall price movement since that time then it is pretty obvious that the overall direction is downwards. I think that the first dump of prices back in may 2021 were because of the bull market that was going on until then and sooner or later the people get nervous and start to secure profits and this can easily become a chain reaction and a dump happens like it did back then. Now though i think that the falling prices are not crypto space related alone, just look at the traditional stock markets. The dow jones also jost 10% since the beginning of this year.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun alone? how true? on: February 22, 2022, 05:36:09 AM
Have you heard that some people gamble for fun and not necessarily to make money?
I find it hard to believe completely because who doesn't like to make some more money even if it is not needed.

If you knew the exact sum you were going to loose gambling, and you are the type that they say " gambles for fun", will you find it fun loosing that money still? will you return another day in awareness of how much you will loose and still want to loose for fun?

I would say, that i am one of those gamblers or bettors, that are only doing it for fun from time to time, for example when i am watching a important game of my favorite football team then sometimes i place a bet to be even more interested in the outcome and to make the game itself even more exciting too watch for me personally. Of course i still want to win the bets that i place, but i only use small amounts of money when i gamble or bet and when i do that i always have in my mind before that is completely possible, or even likely that i lose all that money. Of course i am also sad or angry when i lose the money in the end but it's not like that it is ruining my whole week or so.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you consider the safety factor/risk of your invested tokens? on: February 22, 2022, 05:31:05 AM
Was wondering lately how you count and rank your token's security factor and risk before you invest in it?

Do you have a tool that you are using?

lats say that you are able and want o build such a tool how would you make it what you would add what you will remove?

I'm a student and doing a project for my study would like to hear your comments  Grin Wink

I don't use such a tool and i also don't know of such a tool to be honest and in addition to that i don't even know how you would build such a tool because in the end you can only quantify the risk of losing your money when you invest into a project if you would really know everything about that project and that is hardly the case in the crypto space. You could only read the whitepaper and then take a look at the team and check their track record, then you take a look at the road map and other stuff like that.
Then you could do some sort of a weighted sum model, where you give each individual aspect a weight and a certain rating and then you could add it up to a overall ranking but of course those ranking would be subjective and not objective.
1777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: February 21, 2022, 02:51:15 PM
But I still think that Salzburg is going to give them a good fight, but that might not be enough actually.

Salzburg will come into that game with high hope and that might give them some fighting chance. They will try to sit back and absorb all that Bayern will throw at them. If they can catch Bayern off guard with a counter and get the first goal then Bayern Munich are in for a game. Personally I don't want Bayern to leave the competition this early as I want a clash between them and PSG or Manchester City. Them leaving now will just make the competition less competitive.

I really don't think that Bayern Munich is going to be eliminated by Salzburg. And I don't think Salzburg is going to win the second leg.

If that happens then it will be a really amazing thing to witness. But, I believe Bayern Munich is going to be ready for them and we all can agree that even though their opponent gave a good fight to them, eventually they will lose to Bayern Munich. I mean even if I want to think that Bayern Munich is going to lose the second leg, I can't.

I agree with you here because i just can not imagine that Bayern shows such a bad performance like the one in the first half of the first leg against Salzburg again in the second leg, because now they know if they are playing that way again the chances to be eliminated from the Champions League are very high, so i am pretty sure that they will be able to get a grip and show a solid performance. I think we can all agree that if both teams show their normal perfomance level then Bayern should be the team that will advance into the next round. I still think though that anything can happen in the second leg. Bayern was playing very badly again this weekend against the worst club of the Bundesliga and was even 0-1 behind in the half time break, so this can also happen again against Salzburg.
1778  Economy / Speculation / Re: The long term way is down on: February 21, 2022, 02:46:55 PM
I'm not confused that BTC will reach a new ATH this year anymore since we entered 2022 every recoveries are not strong, on the long run the way is always down, what do you think? I'm i wrong or right?

Well the overall price movement of BTC is different depending on which time frame you are looking at. If you just look at the time from the beginning of 2022 until now then yes the overall directions in terms of the price for bitcoin is downwards with some small upwards corrections here and there but still we are at a lower price at the moment then we were back in the beginning of this year. That being said, this does not automatically mean, that a new ATH of Bitcoin is impossible to reach within this year. We still have 10 months left and i am really not an expert trader, but what i have learned so far is that everything can happen in the cryptospace and also that everything can happen pretty quickly.
1779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 20, 2022, 03:48:04 PM
Bayern Munich   0-1   Greuther Furth
First-Half

What happened to the Bayern Munich team? After a humiliating 4-2 defeat to Vfl Bochum, they failed to win the Champions League match against the Red Bull. They also shared points in this important match. In today's home match, they are trailing 1-0 against Greuther Furth. Greuther Furth is the latest team in the points table. Greuther Furth is a weaker team than Bochum. It would be a great shame if Bayern Munich lost today's match as well. But I hope Bayern Will be back on the truck and will win the match.

Bayern is really showing very disappointing performances in the last few weeks i have to say and the result after 45 minutes today against the team that is on the last place in the league showed that again. Of course Bayern was dominating the game again against Greuter Fürth today in the first half and they also had more chances and the goal of Fürth was also pretty lucky because it was a deflected freekick. I still think this can not be bad luck alone if you are receiving so many goals in the last 3 or 4 matches in a row. At least Bayern managed to score a very fast goal now after the half time break. It's 1-1 now and i think Bayern will still win this game.
1780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some mistakes most people (especially Newbies) about coins and tokens. on: February 20, 2022, 03:44:17 PM
Sometimes in some cases in the discussion of a project sometimes I am always confused by the mention of some people about coins and tokens, Actually it is not really a problem but indeed when things like this are not fixed from the start then things like this can cause misunderstandings and I I also initially started to misunderstand about these coins and tokens.

COIN
There are several things that I found but so far I can conclude that the coins are actually built by the blockchain protocol because of that coins are still called native because they are genuine crypto assets in the blockchain network.
The functions of these coins are of several kinds, including as a medium for payment, besides that they are also used as investment/trade tools and as a guardian of the sustainability of the blockchain network that they stretcher.

TOKEN
They are assets that are built on the blockchain network belonging to other parties (I call them entrants because in the previous coins I referred to coins as native assets). Simply put, this token comes from a platform that was founded on a blockchain network that is more intended for ownership of an asset.

Actually, things like this may not mean much but it's not wrong to know things like this so that we don't mispronounce coins and tokens

It is important to know the difference between a token and a coin because you should always know the project that you are planning to invest in. What are they doing, what is the team, what are they trying to achieve, how are they trying to achieve those things, how are the tokenomics, how defined and thought through is the road map and so on. I also have to say though that it is not always true that a project that is making their own project and therefore also their own coin is automatically better or more ambitious than a project that creates "only" a token. It' definitely true though that alle meme-coins (aka shit-coins) are only tokens because they are just trying to make some quick money with zero effort.
