2741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoddle or day trading on: January 16, 2022, 08:43:59 PM
I have some altcoins I bought at the ICO stage which did x pricee movement and now are dead while others are still at a stable price but I will like to make some profits at this time should I continue holding or start trading them to make instant profits what will be your advice in this situation.
Trading and holding both have different strategy. At the time of stable market, trading is the best, in my opinion. On the other hand, if you have money for holding, you can buy at the bear market and sell in a good price when market rise again.
This is the common strategy that's being followed by majority of the cryptocurrency users. Right now the market is not bullish, but there are few altcoins that are performing good against the market. Maybe if you hold those altcoins, then trade it against bitcoin or some altcoins that are with good potential, but now trailing behind. This could add more holdings to the portfolio when the market turns bullish.

Even when the market isn't that supportive try to do trading with some funds than keeping hold into the wallet. This will have risk, but if you learn something out of it. Easily you'll start making some money regularly.

2743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 16, 2022, 06:51:41 PM
Same thing for IPL. Yes, there are some competitors to IPL like the Big Bash, but IPL itself is way too big for anyone and the money put into it is huge. Players also benefit more than any other league.
The success of IPL should be related with population of India and the cricket followers from India. So, obviously IPL must be the leader in T20 leagues with userbase and revenue generations. Big Bash evolved into multiple level from how it was originated like they introduced women big bash and long tournament but not sure about its revenue.

IPL is the pioneer and highly paying league to players; ICC do allocate around 50 days for it every year which must be the enough proof to understand about how huge it is among all T20 leagues.
Following IPL there were more leagues being organized, but weren't able to reach the popularity same as that of IPL through years. It hasn't reached this popular in a short, already 14 seasons were over. Maybe when more seasons were conducted other leagues might also gain popularity. The Indian cricket board is spending big, which is also a reason for the success. Nowhere such big amounts were spend on player auction and team franchise.
2744  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 16, 2022, 04:05:37 PM
The first line of support is $40,000 if that breaks then $38,000 will be the next.

And the good thing is that the price seems to be stable at above those numbers so we are all good. Forget about the all time high though, I don't think that we are going to hit any in the next couple of years now.

We have reach the top last year and so this year might be a bearish one, just saying. But we can still go above $50,000 though, I think for the majority that price is very low because we are looking for 6 digits but we will have to wait.

You are certainly right about it mate, I mean everyone are really looking forward to see bitcoin price hit a 6 digit value and that was about before the year 2021 ends but sadly bitcoin didn't make it instead it sits on it's resistance price between $40K-$49K. That's why I do understand that this kind of thread will be open up, I mean OP is not the one here who fails to see bitcoin breaks it's own ATH even me, I do expect and I really wait to see bitcoin's another milestone. Truly unexpected things happen anytime so that's better to be prepared at all times, prepare for the worst case scenario.

If $40000 support gets broken automatically the market will experience a bear market atleast for some time period. Today it has tested $43k, and if this trend continues and broke the $45k there is possible chances of price touching $50k. As said people are more bullish about the market touching great price by this year. Fortunately there is more reasons for a bearish trend than a bullish move.
2745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 16, 2022, 12:02:42 PM
England is in a good position to win the Test match as they need just 189 runs but whether they will be able to is a big question even though they have 8 wickets in hand  Grin.
England lost 5 wickets and still need 170 runs which implies that they are pretty much screwed. Looks like this series will end as 4 - 0.
Finally England have ended the innings for 124 runs. I don't know what is happening with the England cricket team. The openers gave a good start. The first wicket fell in 68 runs and the second wicket fell in 82 runs. Scoring the next 42 runs England have lost 8 wickets. England have already played four test matches, somehow they could've got adopted to the atmosphere. So, it is purely the lack of performance and responsibility.
2746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 16, 2022, 07:49:29 AM
Australia vs England

Is England going to win the last Test match in the end after 3 consecutive defeats and one draw? What do you think?
Australia scored 303 runs in the first innings. But Australia lost 8 wickets for only 141 runs in the second innings. I think they will finish their innings in 10 overs in advance. However, Australia is already ahead by 256 runs. England will not be able to win if Australia gives more than 280 targets. They do have not that ability right now. However, if England can stop Australia by 260, then England can fight to win.
Finally Australia have set a target of 271 runs. If England have scored something around 250 runs in the first innings now this could've been an easy chance to win. During the first session Australia had the highest winning probability. By the second session this has turned towards England. If England is able to create strong early partnership, then it'll increase the chance of winning.
2747  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid crisis leaves Sri Lanka on brink of bankruptcy on: January 16, 2022, 07:23:49 AM
It sounds really heartbreaking that even innocent children have to suffer. Lots of countries have experienced bankruptcy during this pandemic but we have no choice but to move on and rise again. It's a good thing that some countries are offering help. I believe that Sri Lanka and other affected countries could still rise and recover in the future. They only need support and help from other countries.

A lot of children have been made orphans around the world and the situation is not unique to Sri Lanka. It can be said that in the developed nations, better facilities exist for such children, while in the third world they are mostly left to their own fate. One factor contributing to this is that in the third world a lot of families tend to have 5-6 children each, and they are unable to take care of anyone else. Most of the time it is left to the religious organizations to do that work. And the outcome is not always positive, as a lot of shady things are associated with such organizations.
Yes, unplanned family is a big problem with countries facing food crisis. There will be people who are with good wealth, but they limit themselves with the number of kids. But, the poor also does the same in the name of god. What is happening with Sri Lanka is different in my view. The improper governing is the core reason for the prevailing situation. As said, more countries are experiencing similar situation. It is just the hope that drives people.
2748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting or casino? on: January 16, 2022, 05:31:04 AM
Sport gambling on weekend only when have match but casino gambling you can play every time, always have game support in gambling site from stake, bc game, Roletto and many gambling site with support casino game. Not all gambler have professional and good skill with casino gambling and prefer playing with sport betting. But easy for casino gambling without waiting one or two hours like sport betting on football we need waiting until one days later if using multiple choose gambling. Every one have option which one playing between sport betting or can try with casino gambling depend will give lucky.
As mentioned casinos were like an instant spending and knowing the results instantly. This can be a win or it can be a loss. Here the luck plays a major role than the skills and knowledge. Mastering casinos is a big thing.

With sports betting it is all about the skills and data you've got about the particular sports. Using this data it is possible to make predictions on the outcome of the match. Here too luck is required, but not to that of casino games.

Most of the people prefer casinos than sports betting. Myself too much into casinos and it is very rare to spend on sports betting.
2749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pakistani Central banks wants to ban crypto on: January 16, 2022, 04:06:55 AM
Yeah Bitcoin is spreading all over the world. Banning Bitcoin on Pakistan will not be a big problem on the price of Bitcoin. Many countries are accepting Bitcoin in daily life. After all it's a bad news for Bitcoin lovers from Pakistan.
Of course Bitcoin is gaining more and more popularity as the influx of individuals and institutional investors into the network continues, but I don't believe that countries/governments are accepting Bitcoin (and for now it is yet to really matter), quite a lot of them are imposing as well as proposing one sanction/ban/regulation or the other, they somewhat do not like its decentralized nature, and the ability of Bitcoin users to be their own bank and control their funds, that's why many countries are proposing to ban Bitcoin usage in their country, by the way, for now we're yet to experience any sanction that has really affected the Bitcoin network massively, we'll see how things pan out going forward.
Governments doesn't want things to be decentralised. For the purpose countries keep issuing statements of developing their own cryptocurrency. That is not a cryptocurrency, but digital cash. Over the past years we've seen more countries making ban and further taking into consideration for regulation. One being India, which is something similar to Pakistan. So, all that steps taken by these countries are to tackle the present situation. Even if these banks stop supporting, people who are used to it will find alternate ways.
2750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 16, 2022, 01:53:12 AM
In start of 2022 we saw some upsets where BAN beating NZ and SA completely destroying India but England wasn't able to break there losing string. On stumps of day 2, 23 wickets have fallen and Australia have lead of 150 runs with 7 wickets in hand. If Australia can give target of around 300 to England then surely final result will be 4-1.
You are making little mistake here. The result of this series will be 4-0 if Australia win the 5th test match. Because, England hasn't won any match in this series yet. They were lucky to make the draw in the 4th test match. England players has shown poor performance in this full series. Betting odds is fully in favour of Australia now. Probably they will win the match.
The final test match is in the hands of Australia. The series result seems like 4-0. The fourth test was really good to watch and myself expected better recovery in the final match. Now once again they're out of form ending the first innings just for 188 runs. Three more days left, and if England continue this way upcoming series with West Indies will have similar results.
2751  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 14, 2022, 11:36:19 PM

Roshtain and Train have Obsidian rank accounts too, his crazy hilo bets made an easy wager to reach this level. Can't imagine his monthly and daily reloads with crazy wager.

Yeah but these guys are sponsored so that's a little bit different. It is always easy to wager a lot of money that is sponsored. MalteseFalcon and aabb are, to my knowledge, not sponsored and are legit high rollers. MalteseFalcon is even highly active on multiple sites.
Sponsors could definitely wager more than regular people because they are getting the money for free, so there is really nothing going wrong for them and they end up winning so much just from the viewers, even if we let alone all the money from the sponsorship as gone. Subscriptions, donations, ad income and all of that comes down to a great profit, so they could gamble and lose it all back to casino and they would still be doing fine.

This is why I try to avoid checking those people out, they do not care about it if they lose, they only care if they could get viewers. However, people like aab123 or maltesefalcon end up using their money to be that high, which is awesome to see.
I agree, just getting 12k reloads per 12 minutes makes it easy to wager crazy amounts( Xposed). Real streamers like Syztmz also don't accept the affiliate benefits but he is doing quite good as I can monitor during his streams. Average bet size of $55k with 1 billion wager is obsolete sign of gambling problem or he doesn't care about crypto gambling as early investors who have bought ETH on $2 price...
Possibly these are early investors who have got a good sum kept aside for the life needs and playing with the rest. With common Gamblers it isn't possible as well as they don't have such mind to wager in such a way. The reload for every 12 minutes is crazy and with such a amount it is a possible thing to do such wagers. Today I made it after a long try, but I wasn't able to enjoy the outcome.

2752  Economy / Economics / Re: Peter McCormack: 'Bitcoin has WON the war on money'. Do you agree? on: January 14, 2022, 10:28:42 PM
In a recent interview on the Futurati Podcast (https://youtu.be/TLHPzPbu5JU?t=848) Bitcoin heavyweight Peter McCormack claimed that Bitcoin would beat out fiat, gold, and other cryptocurrencies to become the money of the future.

Wondering what your thoughts are.

With so much bad news in the investment world and inflation many people are also looking to crypto as an alternative. but I think for companies , bank or any major investment company will still using gold and the stock market as their investment choice. because I believe risk is also a priority for investment choices for them.
Those are days when there is no big awareness about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Now there is more ways through which the real taste of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies is being experienced by the people. This is the prime reason for the active involvement of common people into cryptocurrency over the last two years. The pandemic too supported the mass adoption. People found it to be an investment, and the worsening economy around the globe made them consider it a store of value against the inflated currencies.

Peter McCormack is no big expert in analysing the market, but he portrays the common man's mind from day to day life. So, it is a true fact about bitcoin.
2753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who creates more impact in bitcoin price the Hodlers or Investors? on: January 14, 2022, 09:52:12 PM
There is no big difference between the holders and the investors when we talk about the cryptocurrency. But in real-time an share holder is a individual/corporation that hold atleast a single share/stocks/asset/coins. An investor is a person/corporation that puts money to grow the business. Both have got different meaning, but the ultimate outcome expected is profit.

With bitcoin price both have equal contribution, and the investors have little above the holders. Because just on holding the market won't progress unless there happens something. This is achieved through investment which paves way for widening of the market.
2754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do Casinos ask for so much during withdrawal? on: January 14, 2022, 07:36:33 PM
Everything is pure business, and not every gambling platform does it. At times when a player wins big and wants to withdraw, few gambling platforms try some tactics to restrict them from withdrawing it. This makes the player go for further betting and end up losing everything. Maybe that too can be a reason. From what I've come across, there are not many gambling sites doing such activities ruining the trust of the platform.
2755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do hide satoshi Nakamoto himself? on: January 14, 2022, 07:23:43 PM
If he had revealed him, surely government would've kept him under house arrest. Because, he had paved the path for a revolutionary monetary system which shows the bad about the traditional payment system. Another thing, he might be kept in control by the government to create something similar. Beyond this he himself isn't interested on fame, while more fake Satoshi's claim themselves as Satoshi. Important thing just on revealing his identity nothing gets changed in the network. It runs of its own as now.
2756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 12, 2022, 07:05:40 PM
We all thought that India showed a poor batting performance in the first innings by scoring only 223 runs. But now we see south
Africa showed an even worse batting display and were bowled out for mere 210 runs. Jasprit Bumrah got 5 wickets and was the highlight of the day.
At this moment, i will not call Indian favorites because if they again played poor in the second innings, this can give south Africa another chance to come back in the match.
None of the teams played badly and the Proteas performance wasn't worse as well. India got the lead of 13 runs only, today they have added 57 more runs by losing 2 wickets. India should set a target above 350 runs to make the game on their favour. The pitch could be good for batters on the last two days of this match. We may see the similar result like the second test match if Indian batting lineup collapsed at the first session of tomorrow. Anyway, betting odds is in favour of India now.
Something miracle needs to happen with Indian cricket team, because every pitch used to change its behaviour when the second innings starts. If something like that happens supportive to home ground automatically this match will go into the hands of South Africa.

The first innings itself a worst one, if Kohli too failed in scoring what would've been the score of India. Something around 150 runs. During the end of day 2 India leads 70 runs. More 300 runs will increase the chance of winning, if not this will increase the winning chance for South Africa.
2757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can i detect new growing altcoins ? on: January 11, 2022, 11:48:33 PM
Being a newbie into the market makes people think of making big profit buying cryptocurrencies that show massive growth percentage on the coinmarketcap. Whenever we see such tokens, automatically our mind thinks of it, we could've known it earlier. In such a way the recent missing of mine is Shiba, because I saw it grow good and later it grow much higher than the price at which I watched it.

When we're new to trading we should focus on learning than profit making. When you start learning automatically you'll get to know about cryptocurrencies in which you need to invest for such big returns. Maybe someone gets lucky for such big returns, whereas the rest is like risking big.
2758  Economy / Economics / Re: If crypto trades are done off-chain, they are not real. The Economics of CEX's. on: January 11, 2022, 10:50:34 PM
There might be exchanges that serve the community in the similar manner same as the banks does, but everything is accountable when it comes to a bitcoin trade. Every transaction happens on-chain. Even if an exchange is believed to delete an entry it isn't possible. Maybe an exchange can have a cold wallet and the trades can be executed through it. However the cold wallet gets linked to the network.

Manipulation doesn't happen much through the exchange services, but through the positive and negative news around the market. If a DEX encounters account freeze, what will happen with the price discovery, same is with CEX.
2759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teaching your kids to gamble. on: January 11, 2022, 10:03:25 PM
My father was a big gambler and was quite good at it. I don’t know how much sports gambling he did, if any, but I know he loved cards and made a visit to Vegas at least once a year.  He taught me how to play gambling type games but never taught me about the gambling aspect of it.  My father preached having good strong morals and being a good kid. As with anything else (smoking / drinking etc) he simply said you can do so when you’re of age. I think that was a pretty good way to approach it.
That's awesome, my parents haven't used to it and if they've used to it now I could've got an opportunity to share when I experience losses. This gives peace of mind.

My father too gave me the same piece of advice, he's no more. He used to drink and smoke, and when I restrict him he used to say you too can do it and you should know your limits. In one way it looks like allowing kids to experiment everything, but initially there mind need to be prepared for win and loss. Because every kid won't consider a loss as fun, soon after the loss mind think about different things.
