Relayed by ip: Blockchain.info - does this not mean that the hacker's IP has been relayed by a provider known to Blockchain.info?

"Relayed by ip" is the ip of the node that relayed the transaction to blockchain.info. It is not the originating node. However, in this case since the relaying node is blockchain.info, it must have originated there, and that means that the thief probably logged into your account to steal the bitcoins.

Wait, but why the 'hacker' stole only 4 bitcoin and not 'all the bitcoin', because I've checked the *transaction and a change/rest of 0.02883142 BTC returned to the input address (1JEBDTC8opFTiUmM19J1NY8D8h57rF7bgE).

that hacker seems to be generous person who let remain little into the wallet but mostly that thread look like newbie troll,
it doesn't make any sense to me to believe on this story.

I also don't believe in this story, something is not gone in the right way. However the 'hacker' moved the bitcoin:

I have found out that there was an unauthorised login to my Gmail from a British Telecom public internet access - either a proxy or a public wifi at the time of the incident, from a Windows computer. My Gmail contains the credentials in a non-obvious form.

You should contact the blockchain.info support, but I think it's really gone (because they will not reimburse your loss).
2742  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTR] Gmail account for 1 month on: May 03, 2015, 04:13:37 PM
hi i have some gmail account i rent them

for each gmail account price : $5
What? Pay for a gmail account? Why?

people in here use gmail account for some google services and playstore

This 'digital good' or service is really useless. Why someone should rent a gmail email address when he can create one for free ? This doesn't make any sense. I think you will be able to recover those accounts, so it is not 100% secure rent a gmail account.
2743  Economy / Services / Re: 1 BTC reward to catch a 4 BTC thief. on: May 03, 2015, 03:49:47 PM
all those losses makes me believe that it wasn't a good idea to have your own bank with bitcoin, these people really needs to store their money in a regular bank, and not in bitcoin

anyway you should report to the authorities(if they could ever do something...), not to us

Not at all, you should own and save your money only if you know (always) what you are doing. It is obviously some people don't know what they are doing and especially don't have the knowledge. I think bitcoin technology is more secure than a 'bank' and the BTC concept (decentralization) is not compatible with the bank system (all in one point).

I'm just questioning the use that certain individuals do with their bitcoin, not that bitcoin isn't secure, certainly dealing with bitcoin means more responsibility, more attention to the security

what i mean is that some people would do best if they would stay with fiat, because apparently they cannot handle bitcoin security well enough

Obviously, I agree with you. Bitcoin is not for all the people, because it is really 'insane' and difficult to save your bitcoin if you don't have the knowledge. In this case they should learn more about how bitcoin works, and again : learn, learn & learn.

@Botany : I forgot scams aren't moderated.

@Vod : Honestly I'm talking this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1021034.msg11052314#msg11052314
those account belong to loan scammers, I gave a sign and told to lender about that, but he keeps accepting their loan request.

If it is not againts the rules, I won't ruin someone's business and  bother lending section anymore.

Honestly, even though Neotex is encouraging scams, I don't think he will stop accepting as he is profiting from it. Get accounts for low price and sell it - Profit!!!
Bingo. As long as the lender only lends a small enough amount that the loan is below the market price of the account then the lender will actually profit more if the loan is not repaid then if the loan is repaid. Most of the loans I have given when I took the accounts as collateral ended up not being repaid, however I was able to sell most of them for prices significantly above the repayment amount with minimal effort in all cases except one.

Using your account as collateral is not against the rules. Having more the one account is not against the rules.

As long as the lender ensures (beyond reasonable doubt) that the account wasn't hacked then used as collateral.

Yes of course, he should sign a message with a well know (public) bitcoin address before put his forum account as collateral for the loan.

How much is it worth in your opinion?

A range of period when the account was registered? Quality of posts, type and lenght of the username. I think these things bring value to the forum account (and obviously also the activity/rank).

Do you know who was (is) satoshi? I think you cannot and we can't say he is dead, because we don't own the proofs.

Give me 1 proof that proves he still lives Smiley

Give me one proof (valid proof) 'prove' that he is dead .
2749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshi still have plans to access his coins? on: May 03, 2015, 02:35:13 PM
Satoshi has so many stalkers! He'll use the coins when he feels like it.

That being said, it's genius that Satoshi has created this whole mystery thing, because it gives us something to talk about when things are boring on the bitcoin front.

you make my day !

Satoshi is already dead! We are just imagining nonsense that never existed! There's no reason to leave Bitcoin scenario all of a sudden! Satoshi died already and he never gave his private key to someone else!

What do you want as collateral for a sum of 0.05 btc?

Altcoin, digital goods, etc... you can find what is a valid collateral in this thread:

2752  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: JUST HAD 0.92329 BTC STOLEN - HOW??? on: May 03, 2015, 01:29:18 PM
So is this a flaw in Electrum?

We will never know if it is a fault 'by electrum' or a computer problem... but the OP said:

I've already deleted that wallet, cleared it out and shredded it. Shit. Is there anyway to retrieve it?

When ThomasV asked the seed for a check.

2753  Economy / Speculation / Re: The $250 barrier may be broken this month on: May 03, 2015, 12:46:08 PM
What do you think guys. Bitcoin has been going strong at pumping itself into the 240s and 250 is currently a target for the month which may see a rise eventually to higher figures ...

I think the price will stay under 300 dollars until the end of 2015, maybe after the halving can rise to 300 dollars (but we should forget about 1k dollars/bitcoin).

It could get there in a few minutes and then back to 230 and below without breaking a sweat. The question is when it finally leaves it all behind. There may be lower lows too but some day it will. That'll be a sweet moment.

*When if finally go to 1'000 dollars per bitcoin .  //Sarcasm

It seems that bitcoin is only a pump and dump, a lot of people is not interested in the real 'bitcoin' anymore (I am talking in genera, nothing against the OP or any users that wrote in this thread).

2755  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a financial vehicle, investment opportunity. on: May 03, 2015, 11:50:10 AM
Hello , to Make a short history i Will go ahead..

My PayPal got limited with 2,450 USD on it so i have to wait the 6 month time to withdraw them I received that email, I'm looking for a loan like for me and investment for you.

I can give you a 20% percent interest which is a very good rate compared to other investments. I ask for 1,950 USD now in btc and in 6 months you receive all the PayPal funds from my account. I have seen people who give money to like lottery winners or similar cases so this is the same, the collateral is money itself too.
I can give all the account details but I don't know if we can add your bank account so you receive the money immediately after the time period..

I really being honest and don't want to "scam" or doing any weird.. I just think that I can give that money better use now no matter of the 20% fee than in six months when I'll receive more money from other sources... but there are many kind of investors outhere and this is a easy buy and hold for guaranted profit..

I think it is not really secure to provide 'your' paypal account as collateral. Why should you provide it as collateral? It's insane. Do you have another collateral or not?
2756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Do It! on: May 03, 2015, 11:06:53 AM
Nice speech.

You do however realize that cash (fiat) is worse than Bitcoin right?
Bitcoin transactions are registered in a public ledger.
Cash aren't shown anywhere.
...

(cash) It's worst for the various government but good for the criminal  Undecided.  In this case bitcoin is 100 times better than cash because all the transaction (as you said) it is permanently registered.

However I think that with bitcoin you can do some good things and *if you want* also some bad things, it is not a problem of BTC but a problem of who use btc.
2757  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: JUST HAD 0.92329 BTC STOLEN - HOW??? on: May 03, 2015, 10:56:55 AM
It goes without saying then that I'm screwed, and now broke Sad

Can't believe it. Time after time I've been scammed by vapourware or delays. Never been robbed straight up from my wallet

Donations welcome  Embarrassed

Help a 'hero' out!

I don't think you will receive any donation from the forum users, because it seems really strange from you.

No me neither. Got nothing to lose though. I'm an honest guy I just really hope people don't think I'm making this up. I am just a small time bitcoin user with a roof over my head and place to rest my head. So I'm lucky in that respect. If anyone should be asking for donations it should be the poor souls in Nepal that really really need donations.

Just wish I hadn't lost all of bitcoin is all! Sad

However I suggest you to pubblic your seed (as ThomasV said previously in his post). So the electrum team can investigate, but I do not think it is an electrum problem (at 99% is a 'machine' problem).

Have you checked your computer? A complete check.

For the question of donation, I think if it is (was) an electrum error ... ThomasV will repay you (why not?).
2758  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can someone check this out. Is it a bug in electrum? on: May 03, 2015, 10:52:04 AM
At this point the only constructive thing you can do is publish your wallet seed; it might allow us to investigate.

The seed from the wallet my bitcoins were stolen? Will that not compromise my security posting it publicly?

You can post it, but it is obviously that you should (must) not use that wallet.dat anymore (don't receive bitcoin or ask to receive bitcoin from that wallet - generated by that seed).
2759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Satoshi still have plans to access his coins? on: May 03, 2015, 10:11:13 AM
I think no one know the truth about the "satoshi's bitcoin". I also think his bitcoin will never be moved or it will be a catastrophe.

Whatever you say, I 101% believe he is dead! How can it be moved when the owner already died?

I do not think satoshi is dead. Most probable he does not want to spend his bitcoin, or he lost the access to a large part of his fund.

2760  Economy / Speculation / Re: declining volatility on: May 03, 2015, 09:54:40 AM
volatility at this point is very welcome. it allows people to have a decent return on their investments. bitcoin won't be stable for a very long time.

I think when all the speculation will end... bitcoin will be more stable and more people will start to 'spend' bitcoin. The speculation is a good but at the same time a bad thing.
