Coindesk twitter says SEC confirmed with them that decision will be announced today fwiw

here at killerpotleafLabs we have not confirmed any announcement ( coming from a relevent source ) detailing the time of the announcement.

The years-long process to get the Winklevoss bitcoin ETF approved is expected to come to a conclusion today, a move confirmed by an SEC representative when reached at press time. MarketWatch journalist Ryan Vlastelica reported earlier that an SEC representative had similarly confirmed the planned move.

Reading this thread seems to be one of the best ways of finding out what's going on. I noticed a day after someone posts some news here story's about it start appearing on the crypto news websites. It's almost as if their author's read the latest news in this thread, then write an article about it.
2743  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction still pending. Are halving the same as mine? on: March 10, 2017, 03:00:50 PM

You can speed it up by using the website linked below. Afterwards it will be in the next block that the viabtc pool mines.

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

Thanks guy. My transaction is confirmed, but I don't know it's caused by viabtc or not. I also find the txid in viabtc pool, but not see my id there. If you have any idea to check, please share me Smiley

Your transaction was confirmed in block 456497.

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/c56812b93a30226b2b43549444ae51ca937b65a6aa993c0fda07aa20ca4f7427

If you click the 456497 in the page linked above, blocktrail's explorer opens the page linked below, which shows that block was mined by ViaBTC, so the ViaBTC pool confirmed your transaction for you.

But this one does, it contains the winky's www.coin-etf.com ETF website URL.

The Exchange proposes to list and trade the Shares under BZX Rule 14.11(e)(4),11 which
governs the listing and trading of Commodity-Based Trust Shares on the Exchange.12 The Shares
will be offered by the Trust, which was established as a Delaware statutory trust on
December 30, 2014.

The Trust will only hold bitcoin, which is a digital commodity21 that is not issued by any
government, bank or central organization.

The value
of the Trust’s holdings will be reported each day on the Trust’s website, located at www.coin-etf.com.

And if I've read it right the pdf blurb you quoted (shown below) is approving the pdf blurb quoted above. They are both heavy on jargon, and I still haven't finished scrutinising them.

Is this it?

This sec webpage says BZX proposed a change to Rule 14.11(e)(4)  to List and Trade Winklevoss Bitcoin Shares Issued by the Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust.

This pdf says a proposed rule change (SR-BatsBZX-2016-80) is approved, but I'm not sure if it's the same rule referred to above. I haven't had time to scrutinise that pdf yet.

I notice itBit jumped up to second place for USD volume since the pump. Are OTC itBit traders pumping the price because they know something we don't?
2747  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 10, 2017, 01:56:22 PM

Seen fake Reddit ETF rejections, seen orchestrated pump right now along "has been approved ??" questions, so what else awaits us?

I found a fake "it's been approved" entitled youtube video. It was only after I clicked it that I found out it contains no real news.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBmNDvP_3Mo

Nobody seems to have any real news yet.
2748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 10, 2017, 01:43:31 PM
What is the news??

I looked here, but there's only two statements today.

https://www.sec.gov/news/statements

This one

https://www.sec.gov/news/statement/stein-statement-investor-advisory-committee-meeting-030917.html

and this one.

https://www.sec.gov/news/statement/piwowar-remarks-iac-meeting-030917.html

I didn't spot anything from a brief skim through them, but could have missed something. Maybe there's ETF news that's not been released as an official statement yet.
2749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 10, 2017, 01:37:02 PM
100 dollars up in 1minute gg.

ETF aproved or what ?

That's what I want to know too.

There's nothing in the mainstream media yet, but it usually takes a day before it gets wind of anything like the ETF. A brief search of the sec website didn't get me any decision results either.
2750  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 09, 2017, 10:15:46 PM

So SEC decision tomorrow or what?

Wow. Tomorrow it is then or is THIS fake news. (Whilst Pointing in the air like mr president does)

No, they haven't studied the small print like us. They don't know about the sneaky rule that allows a delay of the ETF decision until Monday.
2751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 09, 2017, 10:12:17 PM
When its approved all the unbelievers and bears + kwuckduck will be destroyed and left in pieces for ever. It will be the day that we make history folks !

It's getting plastered all over the mainstream media already. These are the top results of a google for "Bitcoin" today.

If the ETF is approved the mainstream will be shouting about it for weeks afterwards.
2752  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibi Windows - Unconfirmed transaction stuck on: March 09, 2017, 08:14:43 PM

That's not a transaction, that's a Bitcoin address. This is your transaction shown in a block explorer.

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/d9152801f9a9bc3cf1548a2f0c4b7128e1c7eec7eb69d662bd0068825af2a075

This is your transaction's ID

d9152801f9a9bc3cf1548a2f0c4b7128e1c7eec7eb69d662bd0068825af2a075

Keep trying to submit your transaction's ID to this website until it says acceleration succeeded. The website's overwhelmed with requests, so you will have to keep trying a few times an hour.

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

Afterwards the viabtc mining pool will confirm your transaction in the next block it mines.

I'm in the trouble. My transaction is pending for a couple days. I don't know how to push it or spend more fee for faster confirmation. Please help!

How much in btc?

Ahmedjadoon says he paid quickseller 0.0001 BTC last October, but Bitcoin is worth more in USD now, so quickseller might want a bigger payment.

I faced a similar issue a few days back transaction not getting confirmed due to low fee but user "QuickSeller" got my transaction confirmed in minutes when I sent him 0.0001 BTC. He has access to some pool . PM him.
2755  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why was getrawtransaction deprecated in v0.14.0, and what should I use instead? on: March 09, 2017, 12:42:58 PM
In the future just make sure txindex is enabled if you want to use getrawtransaction. It still works for now, and it's not definite yet that you will need to enable txindex to use it in the future.

 - Use of `getrawtransaction` for retrieving confirmed transactions with unspent
outputs has been deprecated. For now this will still work, but in the future
it may change to only be able to retrieve information about transactions in
the mempool or if `txindex` is enabled
.

2756  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex - Convert Bitcoin to cash and hold online? on: March 09, 2017, 12:10:46 PM
Heya,

Cheers for the responses.  Just to confirm, is there any issues transferring to USDT, holding for a while and then back into your chosen coin at any time?

I've been looking around on Polo and maybe someone can point me in the right direction of how I transfer my coins into USDT and then back out into coins?  Can't see it in front of my face :-/

PS.  I had a friend tell me had some issues with USDT and lost money somehow.  Just want to make sure I'm using it correctly and there's no chance of losing funds, or any chance of USDT not being a 100% lock to the US $ ....

Cheers

You might find there are times when there is a big spread between the prices of USDT for sale, and offers to buy them. You might lose some money if you buy some, then quickly change your mind and sell them.

There is a $4 gap between the lowest priced USDT for sale, and the highest priced offer to buy USDT today.

so i'm understanding that i can only wait for them? it's been 2 weeks ...

If you are prepared to pay a small fee to get your transaction confirmed then pm either Quickseller or macbook-air. They both have access to mining pools, and will get stuck transactions confirmed for a fee.

Blocktrail's explorer still shows your transaction is in the network, even if blockchain.info's explorer doesn't.

Antpool mined the block with your fee in it.

You could try sending a pm to BITMAIN who started antpool's thread here, or asking what to do in the antpool thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855548.0

You might also consider starting a thread about it in antpool's forum.

https://enforum.bitmain.com/

If you registered on antpool's site you could send it a ticket here.

http://support.bitmain.com/

What wallet were you using? The whole community should avoid that wallet like the plague.

Most wallets would at least warn you before paying a sky high fee, the same as they would warn you about a low fee.

I sent a pm to BITMAIN on the OPs behalf informing him of the situation. Hopefully he'll get back to the OP and come to some arrangement. BITMAIN hasn't logged in since the 7th and might be unaware of the OPs mistake.
2760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 09, 2017, 02:57:07 AM
i almost sold the top, with the idea of "sell the ETF news before it news" but i was keeping busy with other things, and besides i think the ETF has a good enough chance to pass, and the up side in that case IMO is monumental,

If you sold at the top there's a slim chance the ETF might unexpectedly get approved early leaving you bag holding fiat while Bitcoin goes to the moon. We all expect it to drag out until the 13th but for all we know it could get approved today.
