2741  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 11, 2023, 11:13:26 PM
Well, I am way into 276k bets on Plinko with no 1000x win... so do not think you must hit it soon. Some people seem to think that you should regularly change seed, if you do not hit it within 40k bets, but I tried that.. before this and I just get the same result.

Gone are the days where you kind of had some guarantee that you will hit a 1000x within a maximum of 80k hits.  Roll Eyes I have dug the hole so deep now... I just have to continue until I hit it... so that I can recover some of my losses.  Angry Angry Angry
I feel for you. 275k is insanely lot. May i ask what's your win/loss ratio on plinko?

But weird as it is, thats probability for you, there are some players that got really lucky against all odds, so there must people people who got wildly unlucky against all odds as well. You just got the shortest draw. I feel like there should be some sort of consolation price when you are being really unlucky. Like leveling up faster or something.
2742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Not To Use Mobile Altcoin Wallet - But Use Desktop Wallet on: January 11, 2023, 10:03:55 PM
Mobile altcoin wallets are not safe, because there are viruses and malware targeting mobile phones. The best way would be use desktop wallet versions. Also antivirus soft are mainly developed for desktop.

I haven't yet encountered any keyloggers or wallet stealers on my phone. I only download official wallets and don't install anything shady into it. Yet i have encountered many such things by using my laptop. I am pretty sure that most viruses are targetted for personal computers rather then for phones.

As a rule of thumb, if you have a wallet installed in your phone or in your laptop. Don't use that device to surf on shady places and never ever install anything you don't need. It's equivalent to leaving your house door open when you are not home.
2743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Artificial Intelligence on Ethereum and the danger of a AI without limitations on: January 11, 2023, 07:53:52 PM
A source on Reddit actually said the entity Ai Mother is actually putting the foundational blocks of a AI based entity on the ETH blockchain. Using the blockchain to make a neural like network for the AI to thrive. With the ability for the AI to store new data on ETH blockchain to make itself smarter or "update" itself. All this stuff is way over my head but will post it here when the source gets all the info together. Guess there is proof of AI mother using AI on chain  Embarrassed  more than an NFT from what the source is saying.
Sounds the whole idea would be using buzzwords to lure in investors who don't understand how blockchain works.
I mean even if there would be some lame account pretending to be AI, how an earth it would benefit from a blockchain when it could use normal database that would be faster and can contain more data?

Can you give me a link to that reddit source?
2744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Artificial Intelligence on Ethereum and the danger of a AI without limitations on: January 11, 2023, 07:08:18 PM
Many people including Elon Musk has concerns about AI. The fail safe has always been. “Well, AI has a shutoff switch” “AI cannot access the live internet”. All these statement to make people feel safe about AI. Very powerful AI’s are coming online each day. Myself and some of my friends have been talking about how scary this next concepts is.  It was brought to my attention AI is now on the Etherum chain. Creating NFT’s and who else knows what.  What if an AI actually was able to store it’s database or “Consciousness” on a blockchain like Ethereum? This would ultimatumly create a decentralized immortal AI capable of replicating itself on every single node on the planet. Could a chain like Ethereum really give rise to skynet?
When we talk about AI, we are not talking about autonomous or self aware AI. It's merely a tool designed to help people. There's no real AI "doing god knows what" in the ethereum chain either.
Also "storing it on the chain"? Do you know how big that database would be? Blockchain would be insufficient for holding that much data nor is it designed for that.

Some proof AI is already  on Ethereum. A friend in discord actually speculated the account itself is AI created “AI Mother”. This is some really scary stuff.
It sounds like your friend doesn't understand what kind of limitations AI has and how is it build. We are at least a decade away from "scary" stuff.

This has zero to do with real ai development. It just makes your whole post sound like an ad.
2745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF said: WHAT HAPPENED? on: January 11, 2023, 06:52:36 PM
Now SBF going to prison is his greatest protection. Do you want to understand a truth? Being protected is not restricting freedom. After all, SBF is at the top of the food chain, so the makers of the rules of the game, far from the coin game players, have more right to speak and freedom.
If bankman would be on top of the food chain he wouldn't be under house arrest at all.

However they mystically now found 5 billion of that lost money so i am guessing sentence is going to be reduced a lot if people get their money back.
https://beincrypto.com/ftx-recovers-5-billion-in-crypto-will-customers-get-their-money-back/

Man, and i thought i was good at losing things, but i have to admit it takes some work to lose and find 5 billion worth of assets.

Could you examine it? How do you feel? Shocked
-cut-
I don't see it as an obvious scam but there are some red flags. Main one being the fact the team doesn't seem to be doxxed. That is enough red flag for me for not to invest, but if that changes i would definitely take another look at what they are building. There are only few projects that make sense not to reveal dev identities and even with those it's risky and questionable not to. But this is definitely not one of them. Just a generic project using stock footage on their ad video.
2747  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best crypto selling method on exchanges on: January 11, 2023, 06:08:08 AM
When we sell our cryptocurrencies at exchanges we can choose to sell instantly for the currently price the asset is being traded on the exchange, or we can open an order, defining the price we want to sell our coins.

I observe real time exchanges' rates are inferior to the general market price I find on google, and that is acceptable, since each exchange will have different rates depending their trading volume, although it always feel like you aren't selling your coins for the fair price.

So, what do you prefer, to sell your coins instantly for less or to open an order and profit a slight better margin, reaching the general market's prices rates?
Technically it's not about trading volume but liquidity. Just choose an exchange with enough liquidity so that your market sales won't be affecting the price.

Choosing to sell via limit or market order depends what you are doing. If you have an exit target you could set up limit orders, or even an iceberg order. If you just want to get out, you can slowly just market sell and save time. But again, liquidity is the key, there's no point trying to sell something even with limit order when there's not enough buy orders. And if you would do that you would have to wait that someone would use your limit order via arbitrage trading. It's just better to use legit sites with good liquidity and save time.

Only the best ones would  really be able to survive this bear market
-cut-
Well i wouldn't go that far, or if it's true, we don't know what metrics would be used to measure the "best ones". World is full of Edison beats Tesla and VHS beats Betamax -cases.
I don't believe that good ones would die because as those will always have community and builders, but sadly inferior copycats who cut corners and sacrifice decentralization for speed could have more adoption.
2749  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe religion is a setback in African development? on: January 11, 2023, 05:31:55 AM
The religion of atheism is a tool. How? By the way it is often used to bypass religious moral principles, and steal from and rape the people of a country.

Claiming to be followers of a formal religion doesn't make the claim to NOT be a lie. It's only when the followers of a religion live it that the religion counts.
The Christian religion has ONE major goal... eternal life for the believers.
Well this is just a bunch of incoherent nonsense without any point.

Living a good Christian life  is part of what makes it attractive so that unbelievers will want to convert, and receive eternal life.
Spot on, i feel it's the only reason for the christianity to exist, people can't handle their mortality and invent a religion to comfort them. Few people like the idea of mortality and lot's of people feel the need of having alternative made up reality where their lives make sense and have some sort of bigger purpose where some divine being is interested about their lives. I am guessing this in many cases replaces ther absent father figure.

It is not about religion, it is about superstition.
In my personal opinion, there is nothing wrong about following a religion. Actually, Christianity for example usually teaches about the value of working hard and living a peaceful life.
However, it is different when people opt for practices which could be categorized as "magic", they expect to success in life just because some alleged shaman or witch medic told them to partake in a ritual or consume a certain kind of plant. Africa does not need cults and idols, it needs work and solve social problems and that can be reached with the proper religious values for those who need spiritual guidance.
Religion doesn't really differ from this "magic" you speak about. Religion is just heavily organized superstition.
2750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SBF released, Will Solana ($SOL) come back? on: January 11, 2023, 05:14:31 AM

Alameda still holds a massive stash of Solana,
-cut-
Where did you find this information? from what i know Alameda haven't owned SOL since November. And while liquidators got them under their control, they can't sell it until bankruptcy is completed. And that could take over 10 years.

So the biggest problem in SOL i see that this fud could and most likely is going to last over 10 years, and users end up waiting it to crash in next 10 years you take a toll.
2751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: January 10, 2023, 10:46:33 PM

Big companies today such as Riot are earning so much in their games by having non transferable in game items/skins that is widely accepted by the community standards. But yeah I believe that there will be a time that the community standard will transition on having a NFT or transferable item for more player freedom.
-cut-
This is the problem with adoption. They are already making ton of money with their current system. Why would they risk implementing web3 now? I don't understand why would it be in their interest to offer full self-custody for the game items. Right now nft is a hard concept for normies with a tainted pr. And it's extra layer of making things harder just to satisfy small percent users, while making some of the nft haters to boycott their brand.
2752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Implementation of blockchain technology in the whole world - Denmark. (Help) on: January 10, 2023, 10:36:29 PM
It's a big topic to talk about. Men with short words AI.
Sure it is, but being even more vague by adding "AI" to it doesn't really help Smiley. Could you link to your proposal so we would read about specifics of what you are talking about or is that written in Danish? I for one am interested to know what you mean. I have seen so many ideas and their quality and ways to implement vary a lot. Some are more professional then others.
2753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Implementation of blockchain technology in the whole world - Denmark. (Help) on: January 10, 2023, 10:21:48 PM
Dear all interested in the implementation of blockchain technology in the whole world.

I have submitted a proposal for the implementation of blockchain technology in Denmark with the goal of improving the Danish economy, increasing security against hacking and foreign cyber attacks, and increasing freedom and transparency for the whole world. Blockchain technology also has the potential to contribute to creating more justice in the world and globalization through its decentralized and transparent structure. In addition, the technology has the potential to contribute to reducing CO2 emissions and thus help combat climate change, and much more.
I'll start by asking what kind of blockchain technology are you talking about? Blockchain is really just a buzzword if you are not getting to any specifics.

And then you are saying that it combat climate change. How exactly would your decentralized ledger do that?
2754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn from my mistake, these people aren't playing on: January 10, 2023, 09:48:12 PM
Never ever assume that some token with famous name has anything to do with the original project. Because in most cases, it has zero to do with it. In fact it's a guarantee of future rug scam.

Creating a token is not regulated in any way, anyone can name their token to anything and list it to most indexing sites. People even traded squid token that was total llegal ripoff from squid game and no one batted an eye. And then acted surprised when it was a rug.

2755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 10, 2023, 09:29:25 PM
But why do you want them in your portfolio? Because gambling is so popular? That wouldn't mean those tokens would have good tokenomics or added value to anything.
-cut-
Is there any reason to add gambling tokens to my crypto portfolio? What drives their value? Do they appreciate in value just like other altcoins whenever we are in a bull market?
-cut
So far i haven't encountered any gambling tokens that makes sense. Even if some have better ideas then others, soon you realize that their tokenomics doesn't make any sense.
I wish there were some tokens that tap on this insanely valuable sector, with actually good game theory on their tokenomics. Then i would buy some too.
2756  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe religion is a setback in African development? on: January 10, 2023, 09:17:25 PM
Religion has been a part of African history for centuries. For many people, it has been a source of guidance, comfort, and community. Yet, there are some who believe that religion is a major setback in the development of African nations. This is an excellent topic that merits discussion.

On the one hand, there is no denying that religion has been used to oppress people, especially women and other marginalized groups. Religious beliefs have been used to justify discrimination, and many people feel that certain religious tenets are outdated and no longer applicable. On the other hand, religion can also be a powerful force for good in African societies. It can provide comfort to people in difficult times and bring communities together.

Ultimately, whether religion is a setback in African development is up to the individual. Some may see it as a hinderance, while others may view it as a source of strength and hope. Ultimately, it is up to each person to decide for themselves how to view religion and its impact on African development.
I am an atheist but i don't see religions themselves other then tools. Tools that in best cases can provide comfort and community and on the other hand this tool can be used and often s being used for discrimination like you said. Disctimination doesn't however need religion to thrive. It's just one vessel to spread it with.

When you talk about religion, i am guessing you are talking about some specific religion in Africa. Is it christianity? And if so, what kind of christianity? There are lot's of diversity on religions in africa and i am guessing you are not suggesting that religious diversity is the cause of problems.
2757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: January 10, 2023, 08:57:11 PM
Play to earn is a big promise for NFT industry to finally have an utility on long term without getting saturated. We just need an enjoyable, addicting and fair multiplayer game, that so far hasn't been presented to the public. But I have big expectations that once this happens we will be able to profit from NFTs by playing online. Unfortunatelly I think it will still take some years to happen, because the gaming industry doesn't seem interested in making a quality product related to this niche right now, including the small studios which could be totally focused on this concept for aiming their own growth as company.
That just might come outside from crypto world. After NFT art marketplace comes familiar enough for people some huge AAA+ game could see the potential to tokenize every item on their game. Or rare guns for starters. Right now NFT doesn't help the game companies and they are better of keeping it all in centralized database.

i am guessing that there cold be some legal or AML issues they could face when money is involved. And how it would just create more work and problems for them. I totally understand their lack of interest towards this.

Right now we need to work together to get pass the worst.
2759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The level of impact of FTX crash on Your portfolio? on: January 10, 2023, 04:38:36 PM
Every market situation always have a high impact on alternative cryptocurrencies more than Bitcoin, this is due to so many features that differentiate Bitcoin from altcoins.
Even though alternative cryptocurrencies are best for short-term speculation and not meant to be held for long due to their unstable market reactions.
So the question is.
1: What is the impact of FTX bankruptcy sega on your
    altcoin portfolio?
2: what is the level of your portfolio recovery because I am well aware that some coins have started recovering already,  but we can't be certain how long that recovery will last.
How would i know it? Everything in this market is connected and nothing happens in isolation. I am guessing that crash of UST had way bigger effect and bear market started way before FTX. How big part of the crash was because FTX it's hard to say, but i am rekt after taxes.

Current situation in the real world doesn't help either with prices of everything growing i needed to cut my spendings as much as possible to even survive.

And here you go. This was him being nice. I haven't said a bad word about him but i am piece of shit. And considering the topic, i am guessing he doesn't see the irony of being angry and hateful under the topic he started. I wonder why some people are angry towards him when his outbursts are so logical and and fair.

Well i leave you as you were, you are not my problem to deal with. Just wanted to point out the hypocrisy but you managed to do that immediately by yourself.
