2741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus Abuse: Who is to Blame? on: September 13, 2022, 10:07:24 AM
~
I ask again who is to blame for the increase in bonus abuse, the customers/fraudsters or the online gambling operators?

When someone left the door to his house open, and the house was robbed, we don't blame the guy that left the door open, right? Of course it's fraudsters and offenders to blame.

If you travel to different countries, you can easily spot the difference between more cultured peoples and less cultured ones. In prosperous countries, where people are more educated and thus more cultured, you can see goods and food items for sell left on the street without anyone watching over them. ...

My point is, bonus abusing is a disgusting thing to do, but people from countries where thieves can be heroes ... they simply have no clue.
2742  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: September 13, 2022, 09:32:53 AM
Let me take a guess..... you spend more than $2000 of your own money to wager that $332k.. right? How is a reward of $100 worth it, if you lost so much money trying to achieve it? Even if you multiplied it four times as you said..... then you still made a huge loss on it.  Roll Eyes

I do not chase these challenges, because it is basically designed to reward a few whales..... the rest of the people get a fraction of a percentage of the big amount. Yes, it is a little bonus... for the money you spend on the site.... but it is so small... that it makes no impact on your losses.  Roll Eyes
Reaching $332k with only $2000 of net loss is very difficult IMO. It's less than 1%, 2000 / 332 000 = 0.6% On which games do you have a such small house edge? AFAIK only blackjack is offering such a small one. But you need to be a very strong black jack player, who never makes mistakes. So I don't know if he is one of them but only few people are able to achieve that IMO.

Guys, losing 1%, or whatever the house edge for the game you are playing is, is never guaranteed. Some times I wish I'd lost only the house edge and other times I'm in big profit after making just a few rolls.

So, reaching $332k with only $2k of net loss is not "very difficult", neither it is "easy", it just depends on luck. You can be in profit of $1 million after wagering $300k. I'm pretty sure there are such cases.

Winning the jackpot is not easy. Unless you're very lucky, it's never possible. I also find that where there are people who have been trying for a long time but they are getting success, then again someone new comers get that opportunity. In games like lottery or jackpot, roulette, whatever you say, all are lucky winners and those who are trying more they just to be a lucky one. And the mentioned winners are not an ordinary in the current context. As a result, they will remain in history.

Like being lucky is something you can have for life. Smiley Anyone can be lucky at any moment, so winning a Jackpot is possible for everyone.

~

But if we compute it in a way the prize would just be the guaranteed win($1 million), then a person doesn't limit his bet to $3 but bets $60 a day for the tickets for 50 years might have spent way more than the guaranteed win amount.  , then the rhetoric you stated would be suitable for that jackpot winner Grin, but of course, the total money spent on the given scenario is way too little if we compared it to mega jackpots amounting to hundreds of millions to billions of dollars.

How on earth it can be guaranteed, mate? Smiley Unless you cover all possible combinations(more than 300 million), it's not guaranteed, and with covering all of them you will surely be at a loss, unless you are one of them MIT students in the early 2000's, but that's another story, which will never happen again, btw.
2745  Economy / Economics / Re: "Cities of the future," built from scratch on: September 12, 2022, 01:13:58 PM
If anyone wonders why future cities are gaining attention at the moment. It is possible that apocalypse bunkers are boring concepts to many of the rich and famous. People may not be well adapted to living a solitary existence locked inside a survival bunker for prolonged periods of time. They would prefer to have apocalypse cities where they could retain a vestige of social life and have others to interact with in a catastrophic scenario. It is also possible that having access to a panel of experts inside of a community would increase their chances of survival.

Its possible these futuristic city plans are designed and structured along an avenue of organizing a community of survivors under apocalyptic conditions. ~

In my opinion, the first thing you need to survive under apocalyptic conditions is a good army equipped with heavy weapons. I don't think there is any futuristic city designed with that in mind (CMIIW). Unfortunately, there are still organized military groups acting like weare living in the Stone Age. They end up miserably when confronted with serious force, but you have to have that force.

In general, the economic situation is stable ~

This made me laugh. Grin I read somewhere that Russians, almost the same as North Koreans, are living in their imaginary world that has little to do with reality, but this post of yours showed the extent of that illusion that even I didn't expect.

Just look at these graphs showing the impact of sanctions on the Russian economy:

Yeah, "the economic situation is stable", sure.
2748  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: September 12, 2022, 10:29:02 AM
You can't associate poker players with gambling either. Those are two completely different things. Of course you need luck with poker but you don't just depend on luck and that's the big difference. I think that poker is also older than (online) gambling. I'm still curious when online poker became popular and when it came on the market and originated. You also don't hear many new poker sites appearing, while at casinos and bookmakers you see one bookmaker after another emerging and new to the business.

Wow. Your explanation is invalid. Of course we can associate poker players with gambling.
There are millions of poker players around the world that gamble on their game. While this can be true for other sports, it is a very specific fact about poker. Sure you can know how to play poker and still not gamble on it, but that's definitely not the case here. If you think about it, poker is mathematically just a different game of probability. You have a certain set of odds as to whether you will win or lose.

Interesting. Just take a minute and try to answer this question: The odds of winning in poker are better than in purely luck based games or worse? And the answer is, it is better for some people and worse for others. Skilled poker players obviously have better odds than inexperienced ones.

Sure thing, there are freaks using poker as pure gambling. They are going all in all the time, irritating everyone around, and sometimes they succeed. But most of the time they don't finish in the paid places.

I don't have such a bad collection of shirts myself, only problem is I tend to use them a lot and for heavy duty stuff so my very first Watford shirts are more or less unrecognisable haha. GL to all you collectors Wink
~

I've got a pretty nice collection myself: 3 t-shirts and 2 scarves. One scarf I was wearing during the last winter, and I can now say, it's comfortable, warm, and, it looks so nice that it fits any outfit.

And this t-shirt by Hummel,

I'm using it for jogging and working out, and I can definitely say, it is the best t-shirt I've ever had. And I don't mean the looks, it looks amazing, of course, but I mean how you feel in it. It was specifically designed for heavy physical activities, and they have succeeded in that goal, absolutely.

It's a great news that a New Kit from Southampton has arrived. Thanks for telling us, Steve!

Best of luck to all of you guys, who haven't won it yet!

2751  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: September 09, 2022, 11:42:30 AM
~ But if you play this game in real life, you can influence the outcome, depending on your skills. If you played such game in an online casino, it would be a 100% luck based game, like dice or plinko games, or similar. I'm not saying that this game, or color game, shouldn't be implemented, though. Surely, such games will find their audience among luck based games lovers.

Yes, you're right, but I think the developers could devise a way to use the force with which the hoop is propelled and that helps to place or not on the stick, it's something like the Angry Birds game, where there was a kind of strength meter and this can lead to more accuracy in the shot, I had one of those games in real life and inside it was water, but many factors influenced it, because if you moved, everything moved and helped to score or take out the hoops, it could also be considered that level of difficulty for an online casino, where instead of one moving it, the casino makes it move and thus it is more difficult to hit the hoop.

To be honest, I'm not sure about the possibility of adding such a thing to the game. Are there online games where your physical force is a factor? I think there are no such games online because they can be easily exploited by malicious attackers.

if your getting lottery tickets from free rolls is disabled, and you have just 2 WoF spins per day on average, there are some weeks when you have zero lottery tickets.
This is possible, but it's very unlikely.
Each time you play WOF, you have around 33.4% chance to win lottery tickets.
So, the chance to not win any lottery ticket each time you spin the wheel is around 66.6%.

Assuming you play WOF, 2 times a day and 14 times in a week, the chance to not win any lottery ticket in a week is only around 0.338%.

0.66614 = 0.00338

Yes, it is unlikely if we take only one week, but take 30 weeks, and it is not that unlikely anymore, right? I know that each week is independent from all the previous weeks, the wheel has no memory of other spins and stuff, but here's the thing: although the current US Powerball has 292,201,338 possible combinations, and thus it is very unlikely for the holder of just one ticket to win the Jackpot, all the holders together somehow manage to win it once in a while. In fact, since Powerball launched 30 years ago, 393 tickets have won Jackpots. In short, what's unlikely from the first try is not that unlikely with many tries. Smiley
2754  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: September 08, 2022, 12:30:16 PM
~ My playing is with little amounts and I do that mainly to replace watching movies and all that. A kind of another hobby if I must say, yet I must try not to get addicted.

If you are playing only with little amounts, and at the same time thinking of not getting addicted, I think you are safe, my friend. It's the other way around with people vulnerable to gambling addiction: being already addicted, they think they are far from it.

Also, imo, you can't get an idea of what gambling is by just watching movies and reading articles about it. You need to have your own experience, and playing is with little amounts is the best way of getting it.
2755  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 08, 2022, 11:37:40 AM
~ Money cannot buy satisfaction and happiness. ~

It depends on what brings you satisfaction and happiness. For example, having a lot of money, you can pay for education of poor but talanted people, and some of them can achieve great success in one field or another. Will that make you happy?

In short, if contributing to society in a positive way makes you happy, then money can buy satisfaction and happiness.

Also, I disagree with this statement of yours, "Being successful is being happy and satisfied with ones fully achieved dreams." Your dreams can be different in different periods of time. Your childhood dreams may seem stupid today, and achieving them can make your life worse. And the things you are dreaming of now may make you shudder ten years later.

Since a few years ago, when I need an answer I ask Google, and mostly satisfied with the results. Look at this one, for instance:

I have nothing more to add, they said it all. Smiley

~ Why would we believe that his lessons are better than watching some players on youtube for free?
~

Watching some of the best contemporary poker players on YouTube is the best way to learn how to play poker, imo. Only don't watch games older than 3-4 years because the style can be outdated. Daniel Negreanu, for example, is not bluffing these days as he used to in the past. He's playing more cautiously now, and it pays off for him, while people following his older style are losing in general, and keep wondering why. The answer is, different times have different strategies that are successful.

What's good about starting very low is that these's a high probability of you going up and up in the future. Smiley

I particularly didn't do so well this game round too, I ended up with just 7.5 points.

I'm not yet so worried about the leaderboard to be honest and I don't even pay much details into it, neither do I let the leaderboard cloud my judgements, I know all that would change as the season progresses and all users in the prize positions begin to get a bit conserved and there are even lesser picks for probable upset. I'm currently more focused on chasing well above average points for each game week.

Well, you are succeeding in that, mate. Smiley After moving 3 positions down

you are still on the 17th place. That's impressive, for me at least, who is on the 42nd place after moving 5 positions up. What pleases me is that we have traveled only through 6 rounds out of our 38 rounds long journey. Much can change within the next 2-3 rounds, let alone all of them.
2758  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: September 08, 2022, 08:54:29 AM
~ At the end of the day, real competition is good for the space. Whilst it might be hard to imagine for those of you who have been gambling and posting here since 2016 or earlier, we are still extremely early in terms of the evolution of this industry. Exciting things are happening within tech, crypto and the internet as a whole, and it seems like that hasn't fully converted to gambling just yet - a big reason is due to the lack of actual competition. Competition forces companies to either change or risk being left behind. Those that build, keep up and grow; those that copy slowly die out. We'll soon see which is which.~

Cloning toppers  in the industry is not something invented by crypto gambling sites. Just look at the several examples that Google is giving us:

Not all those that copy others are dying out, as you can see from the list above. If you are honest with your customers and the functionality of your site is on the high level, you have every chance of being successful, but being at least slightly different wouldn't hurt, of course.
2759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play Slots? (long sessions / jumper / focussed) on: September 07, 2022, 04:28:08 PM
2 words: Maximum Concentration. When I gamble, I try to distract myself from the rest of the world by focusing completely on the game. I like to feel the increasing level of concentration, as I take this process extremely seriously.

This is a great approach to playing slots, imo. This way you won't increase your chances of winning, but if you use slots to relax, to forget about your daily concerns, to  pump some dopamine into your brain, focusing completely on the game is what you should try to do.

:0

Sounds not good. Why do you need "maximum concentration" in the game where everything is depend on luck? This doesn't matter are you concentrated or not, because outcome is just a mathematical probability. You can't force it through your skills or concentration.

That's why I said, "This way you won't increase your chances of winning". Some people use slots to get away from daily worries for a little while. Imo, it's a good practice, if not overused. Running away from your daily problems isn't a good thing, if you are trying to do it all the time, but occasionally it can add strength to deal with those problems.
