Now it's plagiarism. You should use quote-tags. Even better, while you're at it, why don't you quote the OP, update the images, and post that in the original topic (with a short explanation saying you've updated the image links)?

Bump!New Trust lists created in the past week:
Amazingly, since my upgrade to a faster server, updating the top-navigation-bar takes a lot longer. It's as if it only uses half a CPU core, it now causes the server load to go to 0.50 instead of 1. I'm still ill, but once I'm okay again (which takes a lot longer than expected), I'll add multithreading to the navigation-update.

Please ban bounty spammer and Newbie Yeakubali66 Banned! for plagiarism. He has text-spinned my entire topic, and posts it on the same board (no doubt to earn Merit). Plagiarism: Seize the Opportunity: Consolidate Your Small Bitcoin Inputs During Low Fees!
Background: As Bitcoin network congestion drives fees higher, now is the ideal time to consolidate small inputs.
Example: A recent 4909-byte transaction with 33 inputs incurred a 510 Satoshis/byte fee, resulting in just 0.0079539BTC. With today's low fees, you can save significantly.
Opportunity: With current low fees, consolidate inputs as small as 0.00002BTC, potentially saving up to 95% in fees for future transactions.
Benefits for All: Consolidating during low congestion benefits the entire network by reducing congestion when it's busy.
How to: Depending on your wallet, send your balance to a new address, manually setting the fee or enable coin control. Consider multiple transactions for various inputs.
Privacy: Note that consolidating inputs can link them on the blockchain, so weigh the implications.
SegWit: Explore SegWit addresses for fee reduction.
Fee Estimators: Check fee estimators for optimal transaction fees.
No Spam: Spam-free thread; irrelevant posts will be removed.
Disclaimer: Use this information cautiously, especially with private keys. Report any errors, and remember to think before acting. Original: Mods: I realize this isn't really a Technical Support question, but it's related to dozens of support request threads that have been made in the past, and it can potentially reduce support requests in the future. That's why I post it here. Background Whenever the Bitcoin network gets more congested, fees get higher and higher. Most wallets now use "dynamic fees", which means they start competing with each other for fast confirmations. This results is fees spiraling upwards. Not so long ago, more than 600 Satoshis/byte was needed to have any chance at a fast confirmation. The result: this board filled up with topics like: "my transaction got stuck for 2 weeks, help me". At the moment, these topics don't exist, which is the reason I open this "opposite" topic.Example 18 days ago, someone made this 4909 bytes transaction with 33 inputs and 510 Satoshis/byte fee. After paying fees, his 0.033BTC turned into only 0.0079539BTC. If he would make the same transaction now with 20 Satoshis/byte fee, he would have saved 0.024BTC. Instead of just 0.0079539BTC, he would have ended up with 4 times more!Opportunity Since about a week, fees are quite low again. For many months now, even transactions with 1 Satoshi/byte are likely to get confirmed within an hour. If you've been collecting faucets in the past, you most likely have many inputs around 0.000xBTC. A few weeks ago, anything under 0.001BTC wasn't even enough to pay for the fee. If you set a very low fee now, you can consolidate inputs as low as just 2000 Satoshis (0.00002BTC).It's good for everyone If you make a big transaction with high fees when the network is congested, you take up a lot of scarce block space. This makes the congestion even worse. By making a big transaction when the network isn't congested, you're prepared to be able to make a much smaller transaction once the network is congested again, without adding much to the congestion.Consolidate small inputs If you have many small inputs, now is the perfect time to consolidate them into one new input! If you're not in a hurry to get a confirmation, you can set a very low fee and just wait. Once it's confirmed, your funds can be send in a much smaller transaction, which means you'll safe a lot on fees if you want to make a transaction when fees are high again. If you have enough small inputs, you can safe up to 95% or more on fees! How Now the tricky part: it depends on your wallet! The easy way would be to just send your entire balance to a new address in your own wallet. Make sure to manually set the fee! I prefer to "Enable coin control" in Bitcoin Core, you can do this in Electrum too. Select the inputs you want to use, and leave out very small dust inputs (say 0.00001BTC, it would still cost more in fees than it's worth). Then simply send all selected inputs to a new address of your own. If you have many different inputs, I suggest to consolidate them in multiple steps. Don't create a 100,000 bytes transaction with 500 inputs, but instead create many transactions with 20-ish inputs. If your wallet doesn't allow you to set your own fee, and/or to use coin control, you can export your private keys and import them into a wallet that does support it. This, however, is something to discuss in another topic.Privacy Consolidating your inputs links them together on the blockchain. This wouldn't be any different when you use the same funds in any other transaction, but you should consider this before doing it.SegWit User Wind_FURY found a comprehensive overview of Techniques to reduce transaction fees, including the use of SegWit addresses.Fee estimators No spam All my threads are now self-moderated to stop signature spam. I will remove all irrelevant posts. If you quote the entire OP, your entry will be deleted. Once in a while I'll summarize posts and clean up this thread.Disclaimer Use this information at your own risk. At all times, think before each action, especially when you're dealing with private keys. When in doubt, don't do it! I'm human, I make mistakes. If something is incorrect, please let me know.

I want to know when I will upload the updates threads with same title in archival board then they will be seen in the search results with original threads or not? Try it I don't use the forum search, and I expect search engines to show the older and more active thread first.

The imgur problem has been discussed in several topics, including my dump of 801,550 images. Considering the amount of lost images, I don't think manually replacing a few topics is going to matter much. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there will be any other solution for the missing images either. My guess is that most of it will just disappear into the history of the internet.

If I wanted to read AI diarrhea, I wouldn't need Bitcointalk. I want to read from humans, that's what forums were created for. What's next? Only AIs posting and only AIs reading? What's the point?

With 1 sat/vbyte, it's part of a very large pool. That's why I prefer to use 1.1 sat/vbyte instead, so at least you're above the large majority on the bottom. Chances are the transaction would have been dropped if you wouldn't have broadcasted it again. Broadcasting isn't the same as accelerating. The only working free accelerator I know is ViaBTC, but it requires a higher fee and smaller transaction. Any help would be appreciated given "Trust" wallets and "Core" wallets don't include unconfirmed TX in new transactions. Are those your receiving wallets? I don't use Trust wallet, but in Bitcoin Core, I used this once: I did CPFP with a much higher fee (which took me a while as I had to export/import the privkey first) After exporting the private key from Bitcoin Core, I used Coin Control in Electrum to send the unconfirmed input.

Bump! In the last 6 months, mempool has been mostly full. In the past 2 weeks, mempool cleared as far as confirming transactions with less than 2 sat/vbyte many times. At the moment, fees slightly under 2 sat/vbyte are enough for a fast confirmation. Consolidate your small inputs while you can, low fees won't last forever! When you are in a rush, it saves a lot in fees if you can use only one input address (and ideally use native SegWit: bc1q......).

I get the feeling vanity addresses lost popularity after Segwit. I still use one (for historical reasons), but that's it. It's not worth the additional transaction fee, and bc1q-vanity addresses look much less nice.

I'm saying this because LoyceV mentioned that their scrappers were down as well. Maybe they are related? My scraper didn't miss a post when the forum was down yesterday. I did miss posts in the past when Cloudflare blocked it. Of course this is related: if the forum is down, obviously I can't scrape it.

Ok task accepted.
But I’m dead scared by just reading the process itself. Lolz. I think I will have to right down the step by step workflow for this since I am not very much experienced with this stuff. In that case, let's start a bit easier: create a new Electrum wallet. Then go through the "workflow" to reproduce the addresses air-gapped from seed using Ian Coleman's site. No need to fund this wallet, so no risk of messing up, but it will be a good exercise. If I am going to do anything like this then I will first move my coins to other address temporarily off course. To think about: How are you going to verify restoring the seed for that new address before funding it?

Any good tutorials for this? Run Bitcoin Core via Tor? There are several topics about it, for instance this one and this one. I'd like to see a full tutorial. Or just click on the option that appears in Bitcoin Core? I'm confused I expected this to require installing additional software. Is it viable to use a VPN system that allows SOCKS5? Bitcoin Core will just work with any normal VPN service (but that's not Tor).

In reality, starting over is not difficult, you and TryNinja already have a copy of all forum activity. You have too much confidence in me. In reality, we have an outdated and incomplete copy of only posts before they were edited, without user feedback, without associated email addresses, without full ban information and without forum infrastructure.

That doesn't seem good to me considering the fact that I am having Ledger bought in late 2018. Since then I have never explored other wallets considering I will have to invest more money in my wallet than I could save up in it. Instead, I am using the same wallet to date. In the past, I even lost it once due to home shifting and careless handling of the same (learned lesson already).
Now is not the time for this company to shit around like that.
Should I be worried about its ongoing operations? From your worries, it's good to differentiate between two things: "Ledger disappearing", and "Ledger lying about the seed phrase never leaving the hardware wallet". I'd worry about the latter, but that's something for another topic. As for the former: If you're worried about relying on Ledger's servers, you shouldn't have used them in the first place. I like to test my backups before funding a wallet. So here's a test: get an offline air-gapped system without storage and running from a Linux Live DVD, copy Ian Coleman's site, and see if you can reproduce the private keys and addresses that you have in your Ledger from it's seed. Be careful of course not to do dumb things with your seed, and wipe the system's memory (by turning it off) when you're done. I've done this in the past, and it gives me peace of mind that I can restore my funds without any hardware wallet.
