2741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price of Bitcoin can exceed 10 thousand dollars at the present on: July 26, 2020, 05:46:28 PM
~snip
Bitcoin price movement I think are in a good cycle. It has broken through $10,100 based on my monitoring of binance exchange in the past 24 hour and has now fallen slightly at $9.930. A reasonable price reduction in my opinion because there are many people who have been waiting for the current hike and sell as soon as possible and make a profit. There is still a possibility that bitcoin will break the next resistance level at $10,380.

It depends on the exchange that you're watching. On Bitstamp the level to watch is 10500 USD If we can reach and defend this position it's going to be the highest price since September 2019 and a sign that there's basically no resistance between that level and 12k, maybe even 13k, just like there's nothing between 14k and 20k so if that happens we'll go up very fast.
IMO, we won't see 20k this year, but it would be nice to witness another run up, like the one in 2017.
2742  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quality War ( Europe vs China and India ) on: July 26, 2020, 05:36:25 PM
There are nothing worse in the world than indian guys code

There is something worse: Indian tech support.

I use a lot of Chinese products and their quality can range from good products, like Xiaomi electronics, or total garbage fake crap like a lot of the power banks, batteries, cables and connectors that come from China. As for the EU products, most of them are still made in China, just assembly and quality check is done in the EU. All plastic molds and stuff come from Asia, same as all components like capacitors, circuit boards and such are usually Chinese, even in US/EU made products.
2743  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: July 26, 2020, 05:29:39 PM
No,it is impossible to live without banks in a government that the only currency is a fiat currency that can be use in a daily transaction anywhere. Bitcoins is not yet fully accepted and uses in different countries. Especially those people that live in a remote areas who doesn't know bitcoin or even use new technologies. Banks are the very important establishment that you can store and lend a money.

Don't we have cash? Many people live with no banks, using 100% cash transactions. Don't forget that all those places where you can pay with a card also accept cash. You can even buy stuff in the Internet and then go to your local post office and pay for the purchase with cash. I've been in a stituation where the card terminal was unable to connect with the network and the cashier asked if I could pay with cash numerous times in my life, which proves that cash is the more acceptable form of payment.
No banks does not mean no fiat money.
2744  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is $10,000 on: July 26, 2020, 05:24:19 PM
Hey guys, bitcoin has breached the $10,000 price mark, what's next for this?

Is is another failure or are we already in the bull run?

SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS HERE!

Just as I predicted yesterday's prediction thread. Never though $10,000 was breached this early.

Bitcoin likes to do the unexpected but things are really looking like we could be forming a double top at 10k right now, which would suggest a pullback.
I'm not buying norselling at this point. Pretty much a do nothing zone for me, but if I were a trader who bought at 8.9k, I'd be looking to take some profit.
2745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Illegal mass adoption on: July 26, 2020, 05:03:09 PM
Reminds me about the thread of a guy caught mining Bitcoin secretly at his place of work.

There are many stories like that. People were mining in data centers, power plants, even nuclear institutes.

In this story, Mohammad have to pay a price of going to jail just because of trying to create mass adoption. They should be the one here to be blamed for being unaware about such operation in the first place.

No. He goes to jail for not registering a business. You have to do it every time when you run a big operation like that. You can maybe avoid it when you sell hotdogs on a sidewalk but for a million dollar operation?
2746  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the meaning of wars and ignorance? on: July 25, 2020, 06:32:27 PM

its a dreamer's dream. it will never happen because we've already produced a lot of ammo for the war. lets rumble already.

there has to be war to make peace. or there has to be an alien invasion before we can unite the 4 corners on this world and only then we can send just 2 native persons from Inuit tribe like adam and eve to an empty planet to colonize it and only then that family can restart. lets exclude ourselves to that new peaceful world we are already corrupted and all bad eggs.

Don't be so sure. The world would have to unite to fight a greater threat for it to happen, but it's a possibility. It doesn't have to be some kind of alien attack, but a comet or some big natural disaster. Right now people are focused on showing off and flexing their muscles but this state of matter can change in an instant.
2747  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lockdown easing - I'm back in the cafe on: July 25, 2020, 06:20:41 PM
...other recreational drugs don't help ...

But in US states where weed is legal, marihuana stores have been kept open through the lockdown!

Like liquor stores, the justification is that it is a "essential service."

You know, both weed and alcohol are painkillers and alcohol can be used as antiseptic. Those are essential goods, just like morning coffee and the Internet. Wink

Even children are out of their respective homes playing around. Guess they will not stop until they get sick

But very few of them will get sick. The ones that are most at risk are the monkey face morons, as they won't be building immunity during the summer months.

Children can do whatever they want. Statistically the chances of them being hit by a car or breaking a limb on the playground are much higher than covid mortality rates.
2748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might never reach it's ATH anymore on: July 25, 2020, 05:54:25 PM
We don't have to talk about millions or 100k for Bitcoin when mentioning ATH. As a matter of fact, if Bitcoin went back to 20k it would already be at its ATH and the condition OP is talking about would be met. I'm pretty sure we will touch 20k again. If it ends up being rejected, so be it, but it's important to tell those naysayers that it's very probable. I'd give it about 90% probability that within the next 2 years we'll attack 20k.
2749  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is cryptocurrency coverage in the press picking up since the halving on: July 19, 2020, 03:32:52 PM
Twitter hack helped us with media covered but in very negative way

Really? I think the opposite. As they say, any publicity is good and this is especially true for inanimate objects that you can't blame for any wrongdoings.
I believe what we're looking at is another calm before the storm. Look at how the market is usually in bearish panic, then in a state of limbo and enters a bullish FOMO. We were in a state of bearish panic since 2018 and since we first begun to move in a 6-10k channel we've entered this pause between market cycles.
2750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter hacked account. Details about what really happened on: July 19, 2020, 02:09:01 PM
Looks like thier employees have too much power on the platform

Who would have the power in the company if not the employees? We do not know which access level was responsible for the leak. Don't forget that managers and group leaders are also employees. If they had no access to sensitive data they wouldn't be able to deal with support cases, user verification, account management and all that.
2751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why The FBI Aren’t That Big On Bitcoin on: July 19, 2020, 01:06:47 PM
They are obviously afraid that decentralization will make their job harder. Every single day the FBI is trying to connect people, and evidence together and the more we are able to do in the Internet the harder it is for those old knuckleheads who got their training in the 80s and 90s to put all the pieces together. Times change and if not through Bitcoin it would be through something else that they'd lose their grip. Old people have to either learn and evolve or be replaced by new, younger agents who grew up playing computer games, jailbreaking phones and mining cryptocurrencies.
2752  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Face Mask Placebo on: July 19, 2020, 12:51:33 PM
I don't see anything wrong with a person wearing a mask in a store that he will take off when he comes out of it, but some people wear masks even when walking in the fresh air or playing sports, which is irreparable harm to their health.
Why wearing a mask in the fresh air hurt people ? It can be useless, but I can't how it can hurt them. Our body is adapted to function in various atmospheric situations (high altitude, low oxygen, high effort, etc) so how could a slightly lower air flow irreparably hurt people?

It's like wearing a bulletproof vest all the time because you might get shot one day. What's the point of making your life harder just because you're a scared weirdo?
I wear a mask in stores just because it makes people more comfortable around me and I don't want to make a scene. I don't believe it helps in any way because I'm not sick and won't spread the virus and I'm also not afraid of catching it. I know people who had it and the only symptom they've experienced was a headache. So, I wear it for others not for me, but I'm not going to wear it everywhere, that would be a huge burden to ride a bicycle or walk on a hot day with a mask on. They tried to enforce it like 2 months ago but most people were ignoring it. We even had the police chase people around for not wearing masks, trying to fine them.

When you are getting shot at (corona aerosols) every time you go out, it might not be such a bad idea to wear some protection; or stay the fuck at home.

How do you know you are not infected/shedding the virus?  Are you getting Covid-19 tests done every 5 days?

Ok, so I go out of the house and into the car, I drive to a gas station, then to a public park, how am I getting shot at by covid aerosols?
I don't do covid tests because they suck and in most cases come out inconclusive. Also they're pretty expensive.
No symptoms = no virus. It's been months and still I haven't heard of anyone that I know who had it or at least felt bad and thought it's because of the virus. All my friends have been living their lives as usual, travelling, having barbecues with friends, going to parties, shopping. None of them had any symptoms.

I have seen many people wear face mask because it is mandatory to wear it as per the laws of the country. They wear it below their chins just to show that they are wearing a mask.

About 60% of people I see in publc places go around with no mask or with its upper part barely touching the mouth. Pretty much a dead law.
2753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 19, 2020, 11:50:19 AM
He was high or drunk when he wrote that and it went viral. He probably decided to ride it as people were quoting and praising him for this bold prediction but then had to backtrack so instead of saying he was wrong,he chose the "angry way out" and attacked bitcoiners. Bitcoin is shit according to him, altcoins are better and it was all a lie to pump bitcoin.
Summary? McAfee is an untrustworthy liar, a shitcoin pumper, a celebrity for hire. If he ever had any reputation in the Internet, it's gone now.
2754  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would you buy/use Bitcoin if you knew its price would not reach a new ATH? on: July 19, 2020, 11:40:22 AM
I guess people will still buy bitcoin no matter if they can earn money or not, because, for bitcoiners, they will want to have more and more bitcoin.

Collector's value? If Bitcoin would be reduced to that it's trading volume would probably be near 0.
I voted for the second option. I haven't bought any bitcoins for a long time since I went all in long ago and now have to spend all my fiat on my daily needs. I'd still use it and hold it if there was no new ATH, although I feel like it's still greatly undervalued at 9k. I'd appreciate a stable price between 15k and 20k.
2755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Looking Bullish now? on: July 18, 2020, 03:16:05 PM
The market was supposed to be bullish by now, but for some reason the growth hasn't took place as predicted. The recent twitter issue is adds up a reason for the market being stable without much of growth. In reality the growth that's been affected due to the pandemic is carried forward. Maybe some market push can be expected by the next month, but for a perfect bull trend it takes time. Possibly it can happen by 2021.

Most of you seem to think that the price has to keep going up for the market to be bullish but you're still not looking at the big picture.
First of all, Bitcoin has never gone up just like that right after the halving. Instead, it kept relatively steady for months before it took off and the time between the halving and the peak of the bull market was greater each time. You also have to consider the coins coming to the market each day, increasing the supply. The fact that despite the pandemic and miners selling we are still holding steady at 9k makes it bullish.
2756  Economy / Economics / Re: How will look the world in 2100? on: July 18, 2020, 03:03:50 PM
Somehow, as people find more and more avenues for self-indulgence, they want to have lesser children.

It's not as easy as saying that women don't want children because they are lazy and prefer to spend money on pretty things instead of changing diapers.
The problem in developed countries is that everything is expensive and forces people to spend a large portion of their income on bills. If you compare a country like Nigeria, where people dig a hole in the ground behind the house and burn their garbage in it, don't have to buy winter clothes or heat the house, often barbecue or cook in wood fired ovens, to a typical western city, where you have to pay for everything, even for parking your car. The western society is based on taxes and fees on every step and it forces both parents to work, which is why most couples choose to have a single child.
2757  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: July 18, 2020, 02:50:12 PM
Due to pandemic, the spread of poverty is frightening to anyone and one of the most important things during this New Normal is your instant presence to take over the poorest of the poor.
Extending your help even you are also suffering  from this pandemic, the poorest of the poor are the one that really triggered by this situation
having problem finding job to feed before the pandemic, now its doubled the burden.

The poorest of the poor never had a job in the first place so the pandemic is not affecting them at all. If anything, the most affected will be the already disappearing middle class. I'm talking about those small business owners who operate on small margins and cannot shut down for a month without going bankrupt. People on welfare will never be affected by something like that. They can keep watching tv and eating pizza like they used to.
2758  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic situation declining and famous celebs not paying workers on: July 18, 2020, 02:35:31 PM
To these "bosses" the workers are nothing more than tools that you use and throw away when they are no longer needed. The only way they can fight is by refusing to work for those people who are known as dishonest and exposing them in the Internet and the media. They more proof they're able to gather the better because for those people (celebrities and brands) the only thing that matters is the public image. Damage that and you'll have them on their knees.
2759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tron's Justin Sun Offers $1 Million Bounty For Twitter Hackers on: July 18, 2020, 02:23:25 PM
First thing that comes to my mind after reading it is: Justin must be really loaded from all those victims or as they call them "investors" if he's able to buy a dinner with Waren and later throw away a million dollars just like that. If you guys own Tron you should be asking when exit.

Finally normal rewards for bounty

All those beggars from the altcoin section are now looking for those hackers.
2760  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid Theater: on: July 18, 2020, 01:52:58 PM
The mortality of second infections will be much higher as internal organs would already be permanently damaged by first infections.

I am assuming it will be around 50% for the people who get second infections.  As we approach the herd immunity, the virus might mutate further as it will be harder for it to survive, so all bets are off.

People do not quite understand the gravity of the situation.

Nice FUD to scare the masses and start another wave of raids on stores by hungry TP pirates.
Since when does covid permanently damage internal organs of people who contract it? Most people react to it like they would to a common cold and even pneumonia doesn't do permanent damage unless you ignore it. But most ignored infections can cause death, even something as simple as tonsillitis.
50% deaths from covid is as big of an extrapolation as a million dollar Bitcoin.
