1761  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: May 04, 2022, 10:38:40 PM
Gold when you want to retain your wealth and are only interested in battling inflation.
Silver is a little more risky. I'd say why buy silver if you can have gold? Maybe it has more potential, but there's also less industrial need for it. If you're considering silver, you can as well buy copper or brass. They both doubled since 2020.

Bitcoin is the one that will allow you to make money and the risk is not that high with it. I'd say that investing in startups carries much more risk and yet people keep doing it.
1762  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitLucy.com 100% Deposit Match ⚽ 7 EURO Free bet 777 users! on: May 03, 2022, 07:21:33 PM
I've written it at least 10 times. Their goal was to keep the money on the site and encourage me to play. I didn't win all the time, so I bet I lost until the last cent. After all, if I can't get the money out, the best choice is to bet.

What's the point of playing if you can't withdraw what you win. It's going to be even more bitter if you win big knowing the money is stuck there.
Wait another week while gathering evidence and if they don't give the money back, put all the evidence in a scam accusation thread. Without evidence of their foul play you won't achieve much, especially since there are people who had no problems withdrawing. You have to add some weight to your accusations, so to speak.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 03, 2022, 06:43:20 PM
When two fighters with such impressive stats fight one another it's always a great event with a lot of money to be made for everyone. These two are sure to gather crowds, so I'll be sure to watch the event when it happens. With enough positive feedback from the fans they're going to at least try to set it up simply for the money and prestige of such event.

Ypu think the books would favor Spence here?  If so I'm gonna hit Crawford hard.  Is there any prediction sites on what the odds would come out as if they do line up across the ring eventually?  Could you link it here if there is, thanks!

Of course Crawford is going to be favored due to more fights in his career, more knockouts and the fact that Spence had an accident which always brings some doubt about his current condition to the table. He can be in perfect form, but people will be less willing to bet on him knowing that he spent some time in a hospital.
1764  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitLucy.com 🎰 100% Deposit Match ⚽🏏🥊🏀 7 EURO Free bet 777 users! 🔥 on: May 03, 2022, 06:17:38 PM
This website does not pay.

Dont waste your time.

My withdrawal was officially blocked several times, about $600, so I lost it. I played knowing I'd lost money I couldn't withdraw. I have proof. They blocked it over and over again for hours. ...

Don't treat it as lost yet. Have you tried to contact them? What was the response from support?
No casino that wants to establish presence through a forum will simply steal your money or it's going to work against all they're trying to do here.
Try again and again, don't over do it, like try to withdraw tomorrow and then give it a day and try again. If nothing works day after day, contact support and give them a few days to work it out.

If next week you still won't have the money start a scam accusation with all the screenshots from your failed attempts and responses of their support and we will back you up in this.
1765  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can America end the war in Ukraine?? on: May 02, 2022, 11:49:12 AM
The only way America can help end this war is through dialogue. America and its allies should adopt diplomacy to end this war.
Diplomacy with Russia? I'd like to remind you that we're talking about a country that claimed it would not attack Ukraine and is performing military exercise.
A country that denied shooting down Malaysian jet, even though it was proven that they did.
A country that murdered civilians and buried them in mass graves.
A country that agreed to form humanitarian corridors and then bombed them and covered with artillery fire.
Also, a country that planted spies in their embassies and then felt insulted when numerous countries kicked them out.

Diplomacy has officially failed.

Economically Russia is prepared for this war.

Sure, for 6 months to a year. We'll see what happens after that. Their stock market is already in its worst condition ever and Nord Stream 2 went bankrupt.

Russian economy is to a large extent immune to economic sanctions.

I guess that's why they have no more paper so jars of mayo have no labels anymore and Lada car manufacturer stopped production due to lack of parts.

1766  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: May 02, 2022, 10:47:58 AM

Conveniently forgetting to mention that the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth occupation of Moscow took place between 1610 and 1612 during the Polish–Muscovite War, when the Kremlin was occupied by a Polish-Lithuanian garrison under the command of Stanisław Żółkiewski.

See? I can do it too

You forgot to add that in 1013 Poland attacked Kievan Rus. Wink

In your previous post you wrote about a conflict in the 20th century and and I've explained the root of it. That war doesn't in any way explain Russian propaganda that tries to make it look like Poland is helping Ukraine just to invade it and take back a part of it that it used to own in the 19th century.

Post WW2 countries are completely different from what they used to be before the war. Is going back to the middle ages the latest trick of Russian propagandists, because no other ways of justifying their actions have worked?
1767  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: May 02, 2022, 08:26:18 AM
Zero percent chance. Again, there are a million reasons why that would not happen. Definitely things that do not change "in a blink".

Last time it did:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish%E2%80%93Ukrainian_War

Conveniently forgetting to mention the fact that there was no Poland and no Ukraine a few years back. In 1798 Poland was invaded by Russia, Germany (Prussia) and Austria and wiped from the maps. This wasn't accepted by all countries. For instance, the Ottoman Empire continued to recognize Poland as a country. During that period, all occupants conscripted Polish people into their armies, changed names of towns and streets and forbid the use of polish language in schools. When Poland got back its independence in 1918 and expected the return of its former territories, but Ukraine put a claim to Lviv, which used to be a Polish city with a lot of Poles living there. In 1772 Lviv was taken over by Austria and became the capital of the Habsburg Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, so it was natural for Poland to put a claim to it once the occupying forces left.

Once you know a little bit about history of these lands you start to understand why there was a conflict between Ukraine, that formed a sovereign republic in the same year (1918) and Poland, that saw another country forming in its old borders, pretty much in the same way that Donbas is trying to become a republic within the old borders of Ukraine.

However Russians will try to make it look, they were always an instigator of the conflicts in Europe and have always worked against a number of countries, like Poland and Lithuania. There was no Ukraine at the time, but now that it exists it's also an enemy of Russia and it will remain this way, because Russia can't exist without plotting against its neighbors.
Read about Treaty of the Three Black Eagles and Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact among many other similar "agreements" set in motion by Russians.
1768  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: May 02, 2022, 07:07:06 AM
Poland invaded Ukraine and Ukraine invaded Poland  17 times at least, so why stop now?
Poland has no current interest, nor strategic benefit from invading Ukraine.

Poland has a common enemy with Ukraine, (Russia), and attempting to invade Ukraine would make it difficult to jointly defend against any Russian attack.

This is Russian way of creating tensions. They don't like it that Ukrainians are fleeing West instead of North, or East. There are stories circulating in the web about Ukrainians who were taken to Russia against their will and returned to Ukraine to either stay near the Western border or migrate to the EU, mainly Poland. I remember that the first response of Russia was a propaganda attack on Polish media aimed at spreading fear and hate towards migrants with statements like "they will take your jobs, they will take your husbands, you will have Ukrainian prostitutes on the streets". The news outlets blocked their comments sections and that attempt by Russia seems to have failed (no protests against migrants) so the next move was to try to scare Ukrainians with a possible Polish invasion.

I've read about Polish proposal to NATO to form a peacekeeping force that would ensure safety of evacuation corridors and protect supply runs, but they clearly stated that they wouldn't do it on their own and without approval from other countries of the pact. There was no such approval yet.
1769  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin is too volatile? Bitcoin VS Netflix, Apple, FB, PayPal, ..etc on: May 01, 2022, 07:02:53 PM
I keep saying that bitcoin is greatly undervalued and its market price has nothing to do with its real value. People can offer 1k usd for btc at a given day, but it doesn't mean you have to sell it for that price.

This is the paradox and a question to all of you who hold bitcoin. What is the real value? What is the fair price?
When the market crashed to 4k USD in March 2020, was that the real value? If not then what was it?
Right now 35k for BTC seems really low. I wouldn't sell my coins for that price. Makes me wonder what's going to happen when we go below, because I'm going to be stuck here forever if people decide its not the fair value. I'll say we have to agree to disagree and keep holding Tongue
1770  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1 Million Bitcoin On Track To Break This Price Level. on: May 01, 2022, 06:48:04 PM
Isn't this the same guy that recently gave a prediction for bitcoin to go to 30k USD? I wouldn't trust in his speculation too much. After all this mane makes money every time you make a bet, so his goal is to make you bet and the more you bet, the better it is for him and his company.
Personally, I feel like leverage trading is worse than gambling because you're betting so that other people with more money can make or break your bets as they please and Arthur and his likes are making money anyway. You can be winning or losing, they make money, so they will keep making these "predictions" in hope that it will make you feel like you can make money following them.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: April 30, 2022, 09:44:25 PM
You save money to pay your debt, I wonder why use it on gambling after all? Maybe you’re expecting that it can be  double once you place a bet but the result is really bad for you, I guess you have move on now and do other things to repay your debt. Being greedy is something that you need to address, imagine the difference on your bet, at first its just a $3 but the moment you continue gambling it continues to increases, I see that one as a greedy action. This is gambling, we should not always be complacent and expect profit, because its too risky.

It's what gamblers do. When they have money at hand they think of betting it to make more. When they're broke they think of getting the money. He was saving up but the addiction can be suppressed only for so long. Now his brain will switch back into the earning mode for a month or two and then the time of weakness will come again. It's a circle of life for some people.

There's an easy way to trick your addiction into thinking that you're feeding it. Bet a lot, gamble every day, just always do it with minimum bets. If you'll lose it's going to be very little, but you'll spend a lot of time doing it, being in the zone, or you can just go to a rehab and get it under control.

The way BTC is acting a flush out is going to occur.  Reason being its failing below moving averages and also challenging a trend true over many months many times now.   One day it stops holding us up and we take a tumble down the mountainside.   It can recover but first we trade down seems more often to become likely every day is how it appears.

AFAIK we're already below most of the averages. To me it's mostly US stocks that are dragging us down and the problem with this war and a possible escalation because Putin is proving to be insane. People see it and it shows in the way markets are trading. Stocks in the US, EU and China are down. Nasdaq took another hit today and so did Bitcoin because it is being treated by many like a tech stock.

Experts and traders remind me of this https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-hits-2022-high-as-analyst-gives-new-80k-btc-price-target
1775  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 29, 2022, 09:00:38 PM
I also got information about a possible Polish invasion of Ukraine. (This could be a rumor). The information says Poland will send troops to western Ukraine as a peacekeeping mission, which will create a border between eastern and western Ukraine. That information also mentioned that this plan was made a long time ago. I cannot disclose the source of the info, but there is a 50-50 chance, I think. But this will divide Ukraine into two parts and could create a similar situation to the Vietnam War.

So Poland, a country that lost its president in a very strange plane accident in Russia, a man who was a critic of Putin and who warned Ukraine that it was going to be Putin's next target after Georgia, would invade Ukraine and help Russia? Poland, which is a member and supporter of Ukraine's application to EU and NATO, a supplier of arms and aid against Russia, a supporter of sanctions against Russia, a country through which most of the aid from other countries is moved and who took a million refugees from Ukraine. Just another day of Russian trolling. Tomorrow they'll say that Finland is planning to invade them and therefore they have to strike first.

5785th near Voronezh:

[...] Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev [...] wrote in the telegram channel that in his area, the air defense system "detected and successfully destroyed a small-sized reconnaissance UAV"

They probably launched a missile worth over a million rubles to shoot down a reconnaissance drone, meaning a store bought DJI Mavic or something similar, that you can buy for 10% of the cost of that missile, but it has to be listed as a success. Russian air defense allows Ukrainian attack helicopters to fly in and destroy an oil depot in Belogorod, but it intercepts a small unarmed drone. Well done comrades!  Grin

1778  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it always about price? on: April 27, 2022, 09:01:29 PM
As a little help, here are some examples of good news happening right now:

1)    #Ethereum still processed 35.99M transactions in 03/2022, in 03/2020 this was 22.75M. Not a bad evolution in 2 years, isn’t it? And this before 2.0.

2)    Canister smart contracts running on the #InternetComputer blockchain have surpassed 43,000. Begin December last year, it was only around 15000…(see infographic hereunder)

3)    Monthly #Chainlink VRF requests grew to 4.4 million in 03/2022. Begin December last year they were around 2.5M.

Why not talk about Bitcoin?
BTC hash rate is at all time high, much higher than it was at the price all time high last year, so obviously miners aren't scared of market prices. They think long term.
Michael Saylor continues to buy regardless of the price and so is the whale who owns the third largest address in the network. That person added 500 BTC to their holdings yesterday.
We are probably going to have a spot ETF this year. I doubt they can delay this any longer.

Last but not least, exchange price does not equal value.
