2741  Economy / Services / Re: Send custom postcards for only ~0.028BTC - Now with International ordering! on: September 30, 2013, 08:22:13 PM
So hypothetically I could send a postcard to my ex and say it was from someone else, just to mess with her, hehe. I think it has to be more for the nostalgia effect. I wonder what kind of postcards you have.

You can make and upload any postcard, looking at their site, so you can probably send some very nasty postcards... Wink
2742  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nakowa (or some other species of whale) IS BACK! on: September 30, 2013, 08:13:05 PM
I would use 50BTC to invest and increase my faucet payouts to 0.0001BTC, maybe even more Tongue

Your faucet wouldn't sustainable, though, and it would be botted to hell. Tongue
I do have a Captcha, but yes, you are right. It would be empty within 1 maybe 2 days.

As a question, why do you use reCaptcha and not Solve Media?
What is the difference / what advance would that get me?

Solve Media gives you a bit of cash per thousand solves because their captchas are based on advertisements.
And how much is a bit? I mean if I get 1 cent every 1000 solves it isn't worth my time implementing it Roll Eyes

Well, I've looked at DevFaucet's stats and it's about $0.45/eCPM.
2743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Babysitting Bitcoin users on: September 30, 2013, 08:07:06 PM
If Bitcoin does go mainstream, then I think that most people will become more proficient with computers, and they will probably be able to manage their own Bitcoin wallets. If not, then yeah, you'll get banks that hold your Bitcoin.
2744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major Flaw With Bitcoin?? on: September 30, 2013, 08:00:55 PM
Major Flaw with Bitcoin Forum Moderation: trollish threads keep popping up.

Major Flaw with Bitcoin Economy: unsecured "banks" keep getting "hacked" into.

Major Flaw with Bitcoin Economy: community doesn't do enough to "protect" newbies.
2745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin credit cards? on: September 30, 2013, 07:56:50 PM
It's possible. I can see a Bitcoin debit card (scan card, enter PIN, info is sent to the debit card companies' server, they send a transaction from your wallet) being possible, not sure about a Bitcoin credit card though.

2748  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Will (you know, for dead peeps) on: September 30, 2013, 06:51:59 PM
Make an address. Fund it with the amount you want to give to said family member if you bite the dust. Split the address into 2 privkeyparts and write it down. Wipe all info of your full private key from your PC (IDK, maybe you can do this on a fresh PC and format the hard-drive 50 times). Put your privkeypart in your will. Give said family member the other privkeypart. Burn the paper containing both privkeyparts.

Now, if you want to test this, simply kill yourself (note: not recommended) and your Bitcoin Will should take effect.
2749  Economy / Lending / Re: I can loan 0.25 BTC || Apply Within on: September 30, 2013, 06:47:37 PM
Biggest crackthread ever...sigh.

Newbs getting desperate for loans and can't find the 0% interest loans thread?  Smiley

Probably because newbs that dont have collateral or the established rep arent able to get 0% interest loans.

If they don't have collateral and they're newbs, they shouldn't be getting loans.
2750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Play or Invest : 1% House Edge : Banter++ on: September 30, 2013, 06:45:45 PM
Anyone want to buy a J-D account with the user ID of 25? Lol Wink I'm so lucky for having registered so early.

In other news, holy shit, whales.
2751  Economy / Lending / Re: Planning to lend at lowest risk (off BitcoinTalk) on: September 30, 2013, 06:41:43 PM
I would recommend also coinlenders. Low return, but safe Smiley

I always thought coinleders was a Demo script.. Huh

It says that on thier website.... guys what is the deal here with coinlender? is it the real thing or just a demo?
It is a real demo. Wink

Please explain if possible. Thank you.

I am putting money there man.....

Also the interest rate (My returns) are really high!! I would expect a relatively lower rate for such a "trusted" lending service that is kinda anal about whom to lend!

It's a demo script that's for sale...but you can still take loans from it and deposit into it to gain real 'experimental' bitcoins in interest for 'testing purposes' which you can then 'test' the withdrawal function with.

(including postcard junk)

The keyword is junk - it's bulk-sent for cheap. There aren't many reported problems of people being screwed over by having a first-class postcard thrown away with the rest of the junk mail people get.
2754  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: candoo tried to scam on: September 30, 2013, 06:17:52 PM
Nah, I'm pretty sure he legged it with the funds. He would've scammed in 2012 with his begging thread if given the chance.

I don't think he got any of the funds, which is ROFL considered he spent over a year building that account up Grin

Oh, god that's just pure LOL.
2755  Economy / Lending / Re: Need .04 loan on: September 30, 2013, 06:15:45 PM
People need to learn to read more often, rather than trying to offer loans to someone who doesn't want a loan any more. >_>
2756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is all this computing power used for? on: September 30, 2013, 06:14:34 PM
The computing power is used to secure the blockchain. The more computing power, the more secure the blockchain becomes.

To be honest, I think that 3/4 d.p separators aren't needed. For BTC, you can use something such as 1.23456789 (if people mainly deal in cBTC) or 1.23456789 (if people mainly deal in mBTC in the future) for the wallet display. You have the main money (mBTC, think dollars) shown in full text, and the other chump change is in superscript (think cents).
2759  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] CoinByCall.com - Get paid in BTC for listening radio over the phone on: September 30, 2013, 06:01:25 PM
Will you add UK?

There already is UK.

Will you stop spamming on threads for BTC from your signature?
2760  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Bitcointalk Forum Accounts for Sale - Not Hacked on: September 30, 2013, 04:24:52 PM
If you are intending on using these for giveaways, these account have all been used on the Ripple giveaway thread. For now I would like to sell these individually or a few per transaction. If you seem like a reputable user I will go first, if not I'd like you to or we can use escrow. Post here if you are interested.

Lol, not sure if you've just stolen the thread text or if you're an alt of dannyjr89. Tongue
