2741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 12:11:21 PM
76ers are doing great and they won another game against a really tough opponent like Bucks this time. Embiid was the star of the game like he is nearly all the time. I hope that they can maintain this effort in the playoff round too. Because there have been many teams that were very good in the regular season but were terrible in the playoffs. 76ers deserve to be successful this season and I hope they wouldn't be eliminated earlier in the playoffs. But after Harden's joining, it doesn't seem very likely. The most important thing is his adapting to the team quickly.
That's a good win by the 76ers, though Harden is still not playing, they still manage to beat the Bucks. Embiid had 42 points, which was a huge one, he beat Giannis here and he take his team to success. Looks like 76ers is still a strong team despite of the trade happened recently.
Joel Embiid is really a MVP candidate in my opinion. He has been carrying the team without Simmons this season. And after what had happen, losing some of its best players like Curry and Drummond, he still manages to carry the team in his back. And it's a great win against their rivals in Bucks in the East. So for me this is a statement win for Joel and the Sixers.
2742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 18, 2022, 11:25:52 AM
Final press conference of the fight:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v8qrcdNnNg

Both predicted a knock out victory, Khan says that Brook is obsessed with him and has been a fanboy. And he did train in the US with Team Crawford and will put Brook on his place. Brook simply said that he will go for the knock out. And both predicted that this is going to be a war.

With about to happen in this match, we may indeed see a toe-to-toe fight if both sides are well-prepared.
This is good for the boxing fans, at least, our time will not be wasted to watch their fight.
We may possibly see an upset if Khan is very confident with himself about his training.
But Brook is still the favorite of bookies here. Upset can always happen anyway.

Yeah, with too much animosity between the two way back, (Brook telling story about their amateur days), for sure this is going to be a explosive fight, and we will see moments wherein they are going to fight toe to toe, and you really can't imagine how the loser will take this fight because there is too much in the line although this two boxers are way past their primes already.
But you have to admire Amir Khan's confidence in this fight, Lol, he said that he is going to put hurt on Brook? Yeah, seems to have a history of bad blood between the two, and both are that confident that they can win. As we have been discussing though, that chin is really Amir's weakness and whatever he said in this press con is nothing when they go inside the ring.
2743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Era of Launchpads on: February 18, 2022, 10:45:19 AM
Launchpad is not new if I'm not mistaken, they have been in the crypto ecosystem for years now. As for adding value in projects, obviously this is the goal of the people behind. But you know that it is not a perfect world, other projects just simple die because there is no support from investors. Or it's only whales that really benefited because they are being prioritized by launchpad projects.
2744  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World Governments are Scared of the Popularity of Bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 10:13:42 AM
If this is not enough, then read this:

Justice Department Announces First Director of National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team.

Quote
The Justice Department today announced the selection and appointment of Eun Young Choi to serve as the first Director of the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team (NCET).

Ms. Choi is a seasoned prosecutor with nearly a decade of experience within the department, and most recently served as Senior Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General. She will assume her duties full-time effective today.

“With the rapid innovation of digital assets and distributed ledger technologies, we have seen a rise in their illicit use by criminals who exploit them to fuel cyberattacks and ransomware and extortion schemes; traffic in narcotics, hacking tools and illicit contraband online; commit thefts and scams; and launder the proceeds of their crimes,” said Assistant Attorney General Kenneth A. Polite Jr. of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “The NCET will serve as the focal point for the department’s efforts to tackle the growth of crime involving these technologies. Eun Young is an accomplished leader on cyber and cryptocurrency issues, and I am pleased that she will continue her service as the NCET’s inaugural Director, spearheading the department’s efforts in this area.”

So every government agencies around the world might put up a similar task force to tackle crypto.

But I'm not surprised though, with the popularity of crypto is increasing day by day, this government will have to do something and step up to tackle the supposedly the growth of crypto.

Lol, according to your website:

The total supply minted is one quadrillion.

That's a huge supply to begin with, so I doubt that you will have a sucessful token here as the whole economics is flaw in the beginning. And just what @ulerz12  said, how can you combat climate change with this token?

Sorry to burst the bubble for you, but it didn't attract me at all.
2746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 17, 2022, 11:46:21 AM
^^ My bet on the Jazz was also a lost, I thought that they have the game under control in the last 6 minutes or so.

And then Rockets leading the Suns, and again, this is a huge upset, however, the Suns made a great comeback and so is the Nets. Really unexpected results in tonights game and hopefully those who bet on the underdog could come up big winners.
2747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 17, 2022, 10:48:54 AM
^ Yes, odds are just a guide for us bettors, but if you don't bet then definitely this odds is nothing because you are going to go with your favorite boxer.

But for boxing fans who knows the history between this two, Amir Khan is more exposed because he has a weak chin. And that is why Kell Brook has been favored by sport bookies in this fight.

I'm sure Brook will target Khan's chin, and Khan will up his defense to avoid getting hit in the chin, Brook will go for a knockout and Khan will try to score more points Khan's chances are good because he is still fresh since he fought just last November while Brook has a long lay off but this long lay off is nothing if Brook has a good team to get him back in shape, let's see what will happen tomorrow.
Without a doubt Brook will target the chin of Khan, if he did not do that then he will be doing a disservice at himself by not trying to win the fight by any means possible, and obviously Khan knows that this is coming so he will take measures to counter that strategy, so who will be successful? Personally I think that even if Khan is a good fighter sooner or later Brook will connect a series of solid hits on him and that is when he will go down.
Brook will try harder to convert that punch into Khan's chin, it's a good key to knock Khan down and taking that as an advantage will give Brook a better Chance of winning and earned another money fight, though we don't know if how Khan will try to avoid this attack but for sure he and his camp are well aware of that strategy.

Bookies give brook the favorite here, Khan fans who will take his side will have bigger profits in case he wins this fight. Tongue Roll Eyes
And just imagine how Khan fans will react if he actually wins the fight, because again this two has been going it out for years as rivals. Or let's put in the other way around, Brook knocking out Khan, it will be huge news in UK sports and we will see how Khan will respond after the fight. So there are a lot of hype for this fight for sure and crpyto sport bookies could definitely make a good profit out of this fight.
2748  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: February 17, 2022, 10:04:15 AM
RSI is still strong that's why we are still above $40k. But we are in a very delicate situation, I mean just another negative news and for sure we are going to see ~$40k again and then we are going to hear those perma bears again in the market. And then the discussion of what will be the lowest and it could go lower that $30k for others. As for the price of $45k, its a huge barrier in front of us that is hard to break.
2749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 17, 2022, 09:06:54 AM
^Congratulations both of them won the game. What a night for the Nuggets who won against the Warriors home court. Monte Morris with a clutch 3 pointer fed by Jokic to give him a lot of floor space to have a better shot. Just enough time to release it.
Lakers on the other hand made a huge comeback after being down by double digits until the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter was mostly Lebron James and Russell Westbrook highlights. That's their game, attacking the paint as much as possible and it was rewarded with a W.

Yeah, lots of interesting game tonight, good thing though is that I skip the Lakers vs Utah because I should have taken the -5.5 for Utah. But then again, James and the Lakers with a huge comeback in the last 7 minutes of the game and then they gain the momentum enough to give them the lead. I also love how the Nets comeback as well. Good game to close everything before the All Star.
2750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SibaDoge on: February 16, 2022, 12:53:09 PM
Hi,

I am sort of new to investing and have some funds to invest. Dogecoin and Shibacoin have been going through much hype in 2021 so I am thinking of purchasing some of this new coin ShibaDoge. But I am a little confused, if I do purchase it by exchanging it through ETH and then later on I want to sell it, how do I sell it? Do I have to physically find someone who wants to buy it off me?

Thanks
Checking on the current price, it seems that it is not doing good in the market.
Although there is volume around half a million, still the price is way below as expected. Hopefully the OP did his research before investing on this meme coins. Otherwise, it will not be good investment afterall. And as you can see majority said that this is just a meme coin and the increase is due to just a few pumping and then dumping it to make quick profits.
2751  Economy / Speculation / Re: Need more more to invest on crypto. on: February 16, 2022, 11:34:01 AM
On coinmarketcap.com, the price of bitcoin has dropped below 35K USD, which is an excellent opportunity to start an investment in bitcoin. Waiting for this time, but I just need more money. I'm hoping to earn more money the next day so that I may take advantage of the falling bitcoin market price.
Lol, everyone wanted to invest when the price is like in the $30k'ish and just like you, the problem is that majority of us might have a limited budget for now. So another good opportunity that we have missed because the price jumps to $44k right now. Lucky for those who have invested at that price level, maybe some of them have sold out and take the profits already.
2752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - March 5 on: February 16, 2022, 10:51:43 AM
The thing is that Martinez is moving up in weight, so the question is, can he bring his power to this division? I highly doubt it so I'm not seeing him knocking out Gonzalez even if he is old and could be out of prime. Martinez just grab this fight because it's a perfect opportunity for him, but it could backfire if he losses this one. And if he losses the fight, what will happen to his unification fight with Sunny Edwards? Big gamble on his part for accepting it, but we will see.
I guess has you have said, the opportunity is there so why not grab it and see how it goes for him?
He seems to be too confident if he says he can knock out Gonzalez because no one has yet beaten him by knockout. So I don't think that Martinez has something specially in him that he can just do it to the great Gonzalez. On the contrary, he could be the one getting knock out here for all we know.
2753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 16, 2022, 10:17:10 AM
Caught a live bet during halftime for the Phoenix Suns. Lady Luck just gave me the exact number to win it.

I was a bit worried I will lose it after Luke Kennard made a big 8-0 run before the start of the 4th quarter cutting the lead by 3. The Clippers just won't let go until Chris Paul comes back to calm things down and showcased how great he is and his chemistry with the team. That 2 lobs for Ayton and Booker made the crowd lively again. Cheers to all the winners.
I caught Phoenix to win and under 214.5 at 2.07 after halftime. And I was also scared when Kennard hit the 3's in the corner to start the 4th quarter to cut Phoenix lead and I thought they will get over.

But what can you say about Paul, his basketball IQ is one of the best, 2 lob passes and then he caught Bridges in the corner for that 3. And that's it couple of exchange free throws, so congrats to all the winners.
2754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 16, 2022, 09:10:09 AM
The Boston Celtics have finally found their rhythms and finally beat the 76ers for the first time this season and they demolished them throughout the quarters. They are now number 6 in the Playoff spot, if they continue such a high level of plays, they have a chance to climb up to the top 3 and secure their playoff spot after the all-star week.

After having a shaky start, the Celtics managed to win 9 straight games and they really demolished the 76ers without Harden.
Many are seeing 76ers as one of the contenders right now and you lost by 48 points :|. I mean that is a huge margin but maybe it wasn't their night though.

It seems like the new players that Celtics got really is helping the team and its good to see Tatum and Brown at their best performance again. Until now though at the time I'm posting this, I can't move on on the step back three attempt of Embiid Cheesy.
Yeah, it seems that the Celtics has found their rhythm as they beat a solid team in Sixers.

That's why it's an easy bet on them in the next game against the Detroit Piston. Low team and obviously struggling and I think the Celtics are going to win again on their floor. Although it is a back to back games for them, they are hot and will play on their homecourt tomorrow night.
2755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc and future value on: February 15, 2022, 12:45:19 PM
What I think is that OP had sold his 1 Bitcoin 7-10 years from now.
But anyway, I don't argue how you make your calculation, however, it was found wrong and I don't get it.
It is simple, don't compare Bitcoin to fiat inflation as 1 Bitcoin will remain 1 Bitcoin, it only the price had changed, unlike fiat money that its value will definitely change.
Yeah, before I have the same mindset, I also compare it to fiat value. But later as I gain experience in crypto and from traveling to other places and converting my local fiat to let's say USD, it really doesn't make sense to convert it. So still 1 BTC=1BTC today and in the future. And if you haven't sold any then good, but don't look at it and compare it to fiat, just saying.
2756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto space is a land of possibilities on: February 15, 2022, 12:14:55 PM
Regarding crypto, of course not only Shiba Inu and Dogecoin, there are many other coins and tokens even though you only give examples of these two types of crypto. Then, anything is possible in crypto. if you have been in the crypto space for a long time, of course you know how Dogecoin started even though for us the coin is not that important.

Yeah, especially those that came from a very good launchpad like Bscpad and Ethpad which typicaly gives a x100 return for those gaming NFT project that has a strong VC backing them for initial fund for game development. I investment on many NFT games before like Dragonary, Wanaka, Stephero and many more that gives me insane gain from the IDO price. Most of the people focus on mainstream crypto that's why they are missing huge potential gain on new crypto.
The OP should have read your post so that it increases knowledge about crypto, especially about coins.
There are so many other coins or tokens that can be used as real examples in the crypto space such as BSCPAD and ETHPAD that can return x 100
I'm not really sure how those two will give you x100 in the future Again, to each its own, we have our won bet on what coins are going to give us that huge returns not just Doge or the whole NFT's hype. In any case, the keyword here is hype, so we know that this could just be a temporary spike, or simply put a pump and dump. So we need to be careful of those coins, it's better to still invest on solid projects like those in the top 5 or top 10 lists.
2757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 15, 2022, 11:34:53 AM
It's bound to happen though, even if Casimero makes a lot of noise against any opponents, the WBO has the duty to match him against their rank fighter, hence the mandatory defense. That's why the Inoue fight or Donaire is just pure hype because the fight is not going to happen yet. But I believed that Casimero will still call Inoue if ever he wins his fight against Butler to reignite our interest on the said fight.
2758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: February 15, 2022, 11:08:03 AM
Shakur Stevenson's defensive strategy is unmatched, let's see what Oscar Valdez does to destroy it and take advantage of his powerful punch. From the look of it, Oscar Valdez has the upper hand here but his skills will not be counted if he doesn't land any powerful punches to Shakur. He needs to some up with a smooth strategy and it won't be easy for an ordinary boxer but I know Valdez with his experiences can execute it well.
And yet Oscar Valdez is the underdog in this fight? So are gamblers putting defense first against a powerful puncher? Nevertheless maybe Stevenson could be a defensive puncher, but he can also dishes out some good punch output and can counter Valdez in this fight. So we will see which one is going to execute their strategy to the perfection in order to win this fight.
2759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 15, 2022, 06:08:17 AM
I'm currently watching Brooklyn Nets vs Sacramento Kings where the Nets have been dominating throughout the games thanks to the effort of the newly acquired players. Andre Drumond and Seth Curry. now the Nets have a big chance to stay in the Playoff tree and just like that they got their first win after a long drought. Still, we need to see the other star players on the court too.

Can't wait to see Kyrie and Ben Simmons playing together, I hope it goes well.
~
They are only waiting for Durant, Kyrie and Simmons to play and this Nets team might redeem themselves again and reclaim the top spot.
Their main problem really is their inside defense and their frontlines before the trade happen is really weak. Now they got Drummond that can be a good defender and a good rebounder and you got Curry who scored 23 points in his debut game with his new team. Of course his points will be lesser as Durant and Kyrie plays but still he is a perfect pick by the Nets team as he is a good shooter like his brother.

Hoping still that Kyrie will get vaccinated before the playoffs so that he can help his team to win. Now the 11 game losing streak of the Nets has ended.
Kyrie though will be a big issue if he is not going to play, as I read he can only play 8/26 games? (correct me guys if I'm wrong, I can't remember the source). But it's good that they have someone inside dominating like Drummond and then Curry having a good debut and hopefully he will be consistent throughout so that when Durant comes back it will be a different Nets team. But I doubt that they can regain the top spot though, the goal should remain for a play off spot until Durant is back.
2760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT's are not a good investment, better get out ASAP on: February 14, 2022, 08:28:39 PM
As you have said, this is the current hype so obviously, investors are going to flock their money on NFT. This is how the altcoin market moves, when there is a new trend, everyone wanted to get onboard and make money out of it. Of course, this is a game, when someone is making money, there is also someone going to lose. It's just a matter on where do you want to position yourself in NFT's right now. Everyone has a choice that's why we always said, do your own research (DYOR).
