1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose an online casino? on: September 29, 2022, 09:16:27 AM
I don't think relying on a third party to get recommendation on which casino to chose is ideal you can get a response from an agent in a casino with no reputation at all. I will rather say you do your research get your own findings then you can make a thread to get more insight about the reputation of your found Casino
At least the third parties will be sorted the recommended sites rather than tried to use whole of sites by yourself. You need lots of money for that. That's why getting recommendation from the 3rd parties are also important things these days. It's caused by there are so many sites available these days. That means if you need to pick some that makes you interested with it. That's how suggestion is working .
Of course, as gamblers we don't usually follow recommendations. And the best thing is to test it out yourself and see how it goes. But there are a lot of experience gamblers around in the community who we value their judgement so I would say that it has weight on it.

And so far we have known a lot of casinos already, some have been in this industry for so long. And then there are new casinos in the last 2-3 years who is also making a name for themselves in this community and outside.
1822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 29, 2022, 08:36:11 AM
Is this match up happening or what? This topic was created last May and up to now there is no confirmation that this will go ahead. This is like the making of Mayweather and Pacquiao. Mayweather had grown his balls only the moment Pacquiao lost to Bradley and ko'ed by Marquez. Pacquiao was younger than Mayweather but he went past his prime earlier maybe because of his energy consuming aggressive fighting style against Mayweather's more relax defensive style, jab, grab and hold style.

What we can see if we search it from google that the fight are already scheduled this Nov 19.

The drama is not the same with Pacquiao and Mayweather, it took a long time of negotiation before it push thru while with
Crawford and Spence they agree to bring things inside the ring the same year when they hype the possible fight. bookies
already add this fight and if you are a Spence fan, you can take advantage of such a huge edge.

Yup, I don't know why but it seems that Google and other article producers have their own insiders and sources that is why they have come up with a date and place. The fight is said to happen this coming November 19 at Las Vegas, specific place is not yet determined for now.

Also, as you've said, the bookies already added this fight in their list so it's really hard to believe that this fight won't be happening this year. We have been given some signs already but we know that's not the real thing as they haven't released a final announcement yet. Let's just be positive! Cheesy
I don't think that bookies have inside information on the fight, they may have listed it based on the articles that is coming out and that is the date of Nov 19.

And we have to search for the latest article, still goes down to the fight being agreed in terms. But nowhere we see that they have sign the contract already. So in short, the fight is still far from being made and the only thing we do is wait and as you have said, be positive.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 29, 2022, 08:16:57 AM
Was listening to local sports radio today and just heard about how Alonzo Ball , for the Chicago Bulls, is getting ready to have surgery soon, and while he expressed a certain level of optimism they did ask him if he thought there would be any change he didn’t come back in 2023 and he simply said that’s the “worst case scenario”. Local sports anchors were saying they wouldn’t count on him coming back at all. Pretty depressing for Chicago Bulls fans.
I think that's the reason why they signed Goran Dragic. The Bulls' management knew that the procedure taken by Ball was not enough so surgery is the only best solution to take that pain away.
A bit sad for Lonzo, this is the prime of his career where he could lead the NBA in assists and be on top of the point guard discussions.
Dragic will definitely be their main ball handler but I doubt he could play at full time so Dosunmu and Coby White should always be ready for a sudden substitution.

Yup exactly why they went out and got him. I remember the first (and last) time I ever played fantasy basketball I drafted Goran Dragic, this was like 2012ish , he was actually pretty solid. But that feels like an eternity ago and I just can’t can’t expect much out of the guy. It’s pretty depressing because the Bulls realistically don’t have a chance without a mega-star , and Ball likely won’t change that but we’ll never know until we get him in the lineup.

Well they have Zach Lavine before and then they added DeRozan, so they are still a pretty solid in my opinion and we can say that Lavine is their mega-star for now, so I wouldn't say it's depressing.

It's the chemistry that they need to build and they have it last season, They were almost on top of the East in the beginning and DeRozan had stretch wherein he had game winning shots.

But since Ball is not going to play, why not get a experience player in Goran Dragic.
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 6 cryptocurrency trends 2022 on: September 28, 2022, 12:26:22 PM
You should have a least put the trends here instead of us clicking on that link you posted.

But in any case it's obviously we are in a bearish trend and so all prices are down. And then we have the NFT's and Metaverse hype still up in the air. And the the merge by Ethereum, XRP recently has a good run when there were speculations that they might win their case against SEC.

This is the only thing that is on the top of my heard right now. And sorry, I'm not going on that link.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 28, 2022, 11:56:59 AM

I think this fight is a already a go even if there is no contract sign yet. Too big not to happen, Inoue wanted to get all the belts, while Butler wanted to derail all his plans. The fight is still in December though, lot of time to prepare for this huge fight in Japan.

There's no reason this fight will be cancelled, with the ample time, both fighters will be able to prepare to give the fans an entertaining fight. However, we cannot prevent the majority from thinking Inoue will just dominate here, I hope Butler has something that would surprise the fans, if this will become a big upset, we will surely see a rematch.
I also don't think that this fight is going to be cancelled. Maybe they just have to sign the the contract in the dotted line. And since there have ample time, they might be just waiting for everything to be well written before they accept specially Butler since he is the one who is going to travel to Japan. And his team needs to know that everything will be secure including the venues and purse split and maybe a rematch clause, just to make sure that Inoue can get back his title, if he lost this fight.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: September 28, 2022, 11:17:10 AM
Well, it's not new anymore that people wanted some spices before the actual fight to somehow make the fight more interesting. I know Zurdo is one of a kind but he needs to prove himself first against Bivol before starts boasting and saying lines like that.

If that is what he believes, then we just have to let it that way. Zurdo might be boasting but actually, he won't have the guts to say things like that if he's not sure about it. Might be because of his perfect record, he thinks achieving it is really difficult although he's correct on that regardless of the level of popularity of those he fought before.

Against Bivol, this might be the biggest fight of his career that's why he is pumped up. Let's wait if his talks is not just about talk.

Well, if Bivol hasn't fought Canelo earlier then this will be a normal fight for Zurdo. Golden Boy Promotions would be the sole promoter and there is a possibility that they will rob Bivol of a victory if there are rounds that are a little close.

Back to reality, I hope both fighters are in their best condition. I love the neutral venue which is beneficial to the defending champion. I know Bivol is in love with boxing technique but I would love to see knockdowns and knockouts.
I think he will try to go for a knockout here, but i guess Ramirez being the bigger fighter, Bivol might have a difficulty achieving it. In any case, we have seen that he can bang and the uses his technical skills, just like what he did against Canelo.

So if he dominates Ramirez, then I guess it will be the same as win though and then fans are going to pumped again because he will be having a rematch with another Mexican.

Yes, Bivol is already used to beat boxers who are taller than him and he already proved that he can outboxed them using his speed and IQ inside the ring, but I'm also thinking that we might underestimating Ramirez that much because seeing his few fights, I can also tell that Ramirez is not an easy opponent to defeat which explains why he got a pretty record and also undefeated just like Bivol.
That will be his biggest mistakes if he underestimate Ramirez, and so I doubt that. Although he beat Canelo, he should still push himself in every fight. Remember he is looking for a big pay day next, so if he lost this one, chances are Canelo might not want to fight him any more. We as fans look for the records, opponents that Ramirez face before, but as boxers, I don't think they see it. The most important thing is the fight that is in front of them, not who Ramirez beat in the past.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 28, 2022, 10:59:47 AM
I think the reputation depends on the personality and even if we do gambling as long as we don't harm others and we don't steal others money and we are pair then we are still reputable, i have a lot of friends a teacher that do gambling but still they are reputable that was thier hard earned money and they have the right to use that money even in gambling.
Yeah, in this modern times, we will hear a lot of people having this kind of reasoning. But there could be another group who still believed that they need to protect their reputation from others and so they don't want others to kno that they are into gambling. So respect for them its very important, and with that, they either have to choose or continue doing it until such time that someone is going to destroy them in public with all of this allegations. And probably you will lost the trust of your community.
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin thoughts on: September 28, 2022, 10:40:30 AM
I’m into crypto from 2017 and now for the first time I see how weak is this market, there is almost nothing behind all the “coins” except maybe BNB ETH BTC, Cardano is one big scam imho. And the most disappointing thing is the correlation between Bitcoin and the stock market. Friend of mine that works for one of the biggest hedge funds tells me the BTC is going to zero value against the USD
So it took you sometime to realize all of this? And not sure why are you disappointed with correlations with stock or any other market. And just to give you a heads up, almost all market are tied to each other because the money is flowing on those.

And you believed your friend that BTC is going to zero? if yes then I don't think you can invest on other market as you just believed what everything around you says.
1829  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: September 27, 2022, 09:31:06 PM
The copycat title I would disagree with. There are certain things that are intellectually protected, inclusive of drawings and industrial designs. I am not so sure about the interfaces and the ability to copy interaction styles with the users. However that are other things that ate not subject to protection. For instance, would you accuse of copycat someone using a wheel?
True, that's why the whole copy cat with online casinos dilemma is in the gray area because there are certain thing that are IP, but then again you do some twist about the design and drawing and get away with it.

But slot operators just uses one design and then deployed it to different casinos. Now we see familiar designs when we move from one casinos to another that there is no copycat infringement.
1830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do $19k again before a bull market? on: September 27, 2022, 09:15:32 PM
Now the BTC price is $20,125.73 It is not impossible that Bitcoin could drop below $18,000 or $19,000 again at some point this week. But it looks like Bitcoin is following a classic technical pattern, labeled the “Ascending Triangle,” which could signal a larger uptrend in the longer term. Even if that doesn't happen, a rebound from this level seems likely especially if you look at other major assets. With that in mind, don't panic if the recent crash caused Bitcoin to drop below $18,000 support.
Don't be very confident though, yes, it's good to see that the price is above $20k, and as we have said, this is the biggest support that we have and we are glad that we go back again. But it doesn't mean that we won't fall around $18k-$19k. Of course, just by looking at the historical price movement, it could be in a massive bull run in a long term. But it will take years as I think that we will still be seeing a bearish sentiment till next year. And so I'm expecting the worst still going to come. And it's better this way, at least not expecting something big to happen at the end of the year.

1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 27, 2022, 10:36:02 AM
I have read news that the Celtics players were caught off guard about Ime Udoka's case. Majority of them found the news in twitter like Jayson Tatum and so they are confused.

And then they are talking about how excited they are to come back this new season to do it all over again and duplicate what they have accomplished - go to the finals. But it seems that the players are affected by it and they are taking about the 'process', as they will be coach by Joe Mazzulla.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: September 27, 2022, 10:12:19 AM
Hello,

Is it possible and legal to open an online casino without a license?
I have heard that a license only allows to put users in confidence
What do you think about this?
Yeah, part of it I will say is that if you have a license, most likely you are not going to scam and run away with the gamblers money so it is very important. So it's a protection for us gamblers, you just have to ask yourself, are you willing to gamble on a fly by night casinos?

Even in offline casinos, were here are lot of under ground gambling, you can play but what if the casino raided that? So you are not protected, similar to any services like crypto exchanges, they need to get a license before than can operate and service traders all over the world.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: September 24, 2022, 10:11:51 AM
What do you guys think of this development?
According to the published article, the reason for the ban is due to backlash they(Twitch) received from influencers.

Do you think backlash received from influencers is enough reason for Twitch to ban gambling streaming on their platform?

Mmm, in my opinion, the reason shared is rubbish. It's useless to impose such a ban as this may affect the user experience badly.
Many people are making good earnings by twitch, and setting such a ban may affect its users, and they would switch to other platforms.

And that is obvious, maybe twitch gambler influencers will lost this job. They are raking like millions as paid sponsorship, not much for the famous casinos, their players will continue and might experience some growth as online gambling is taking a huge slice of the pie already.

Nevertheless, switching to other platforms is the only way for them. And it will be interesting how Twitch revenue will be after this ban.
1835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins that fell below negative 100% this bear market on: September 24, 2022, 09:50:04 AM
As for that project, yeah, maybe they created it during the hype of realistic games and metaverse. And maybe could have bite that hype from crypto influencers and they but it pushed the price to that huge numbers. But I'm shaking my heads on how much people lose here and on the other hand, those who took advantage of it, bank it early and never look back. And probably laughing when they profited from those noobs.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 24, 2022, 09:33:45 AM
As expected Shakur dominate the whole fight for a unanimous decision win
SCORES: 117-109, 117-109, 118-108 for Shakur Stevenson, Shakur is ready to move up in the lightweight division but I doubt he will have the same success as he did in this division, Haney, Garcia, and Loma are just too good, and he cannot match up the power and speed of these three, but anyway congratulation to Shakur.
Basing from the scores, (I haven't seen the match yet), it seems that Robson was really outclassed by Shakur in this fight although there is no knockout win for him.

Yes, this division is weak I might say, but the next one, it will be a very competitive weight class for him. As you have said, it's loaded with the likes of Haney, Davis, Loma, Garcia and George Kambosos. And I think if ever he fought any one of them, Shakur might experience his first lost.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 24, 2022, 08:40:40 AM

Both will sure make adjustments on the fight. And even a weight drain Ancajas can absorb Martinez best punch, what's more if Jerwin is in his best shape and no issues with weight? It could be a different outcome. And so this is what we are expecting from him in this fight. Bring the fight to Martinez and be a banger, the style that he is known for.

Let's see if he can prove to the world that he is the better fighter, it's hard to just speculate, we should give respect to the winner, yes, Ancajas may have struggle maintaining the weight but there's nothing to be blame of, but himself and it's not a valid excuse.

Yes, if he losses again then we can say that Martinez is the better fighter and has every right to end Ancajas reign as of the longest super-flyweight. But if he win by a dominating fashion, then he is back and the first win by Martinez could be considered as a fluke. And the best thing for Jerwin is maybe go up, nothing for him to proved because he has been a champion in this division for many years already.

He is actually the better fighter already because he is the champion, Ancajas is just trying again hoping he can beat a stronger Martinez, and though I'm optimistic that Ancajas will win, but I believe it's going to be very difficult for him beating Martinez. Well, it's time for him to prove that his excuse is valid, and that is by winning here.
He still has a chance to win though if we are going to factor that he is weight drain in their first fight and if he just healthy, he could have secure a unanimous decision.

Now, barring all excuses, and assuming that Jerwin will come in healthy 100%, no problem with the weight whatsoever, then maybe he will going to beat Martinez as expected by the majority here.
1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go home with a profit and come back to end up losing a lot. on: September 24, 2022, 07:09:42 AM
A friend of mine works in a casino (land-based) and he told me yesterday that there was a client who with a stroke of luck won a good amount, about $8k. He exchanged the chips for cash and went home. After about half an hour, my friend sees him walk back in the door and went on a gambling binge all the night, only to end up losing his winnings and more.

At the end of the session he signed the self-exclusion.

If it weren't for the fact that this person is going through a drama, the story would make you want to laugh.

Has this ever happened to you or do you know of cases like this?
Not the "signed the self-exclusion" in the end though. But I know a taxi driver, who win big in our country, like $2k or more. So that's enough for him to put food in the table for his family and maybe not work as a cab driver for weeks. But he chooses to go back and you know what's going to happen to those who wanted to stretch their luck. So he lost everything and now back to being a driver, ouch.
1839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) goes up, Bitcoin stays flat or even lose value on: September 23, 2022, 10:46:10 AM
We better wait for the outcome itself and see how it will go. If it favors XRP then good for them and it's holders, for sure they could be like x50 or even higher returns.

But with today's run, I don't think it's going to be sustainable, the news has sell already, we might be seeing some incoming dumps in the next couple of days.

So the best time to invest is what for the price to go down again and wait till the final decision comes out.
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead! on: September 23, 2022, 10:24:03 AM
Those who bought bitcoin earlier at a cheaper price, of course, made a profit and perhaps even now with a profit, there are those who bought bitcoin when it was close to its ATH and now they are at a loss. If the financial situation allows, then just need to hold and the situation will be corrected, can also buy more now, to average the price. But the most important thing in this situation is not to sell at a loss, because when bitcoin rises in price again, the situation cannot be corrected...

According to some analysts, the current decline in bitcoin is normal things and need to be like this, because bear market actually good for the long-term price of bitcoin itself in the future. I also believe in that. Because, no business is 100% profitable, buying stocks and gold which is said to be lower risk, also experiences a bear market. Of course this is only a predictions, but the cycle and history maybe have similar pattern. Just wait and see, bitcoin rises again.
And this is how the market is built from the beginning, as for us, this is normal. Of course, we wanted to experience a bear market, but that process will make you touch in the future. So everyone here should undergo a bear market, survived and adjust. And when the price rises again, at least you will learn that there is something good afterall in a bearish market, you can accumulate because the price of bitcoin is at a huge discount.
