 Shocked

2762  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL Requests Input on: October 26, 2012, 09:57:15 AM
I'm hoping next week we will begin the process.  I was hoping the end of this week, but it's taking a bit longer than I'd like.

Can you provide an operating address now or is it still in process?

Will BFL now provide an address of operations or has the transition to the secure facility not been completed?

If I was BFL I would never give out an address of a development or assembly facility.  There is no reason to and just about every company out there has facilities that they do not publicly divulge information on.  What would a published address for a facility do for you guys?  Other than give BFL the giant headache of every miner in the world wanting to just 'drop by'.

So true. That is why Charlie with BitInstant in NYC (a small town with few bitcoiners) had to hire two armed guards to control the crowd trying to get access to him daily. Only if he hadn't let his address known. Only if.

The High Price of Anonymity or rather when you loose it....

Facebook anyone? Cheesy

Notice that more BTC was purchased then sold in the last 6hrs.

Interesting observation eh? Cheesy
you got some awesome observation skills I bet u can spot stuff at 0.00001 difference

Point is, there are invisible walls queued in the background buy/sell.

If someone was in need of lets say 5,000BTC for a purchase, they would find it takes time and patience to fight against speculators as they always try to put bids ahead of your bids. Essentially preventing you from getting your bids sold into.

The same applies when one is attempting to liquidate 5,000BTC from a purchase.

Someone is desperate to keep the price up. It's very confusing because last time this happened too. Remember the buy order at 11.97?

Yeah that is really strange. This person keeps tossing buys in there at 11.7, when they could fairly easily be gotten at 11.6 or lower. I wonder how deep their pockets are

Maybe they are of the mindset that they will get a 100% return in 2 months?

Note: The highlighted area is the volume buy/sell for last 6 hrs.

Here are the changes I see for the $1070 unit:

Was: Compact board design allows easy stacking and cooling
Now: Board dimensions 4" x 9"

#9 (policy)   4" x 9" Sized envelope.
- # 9 3-7/8" x "8-7/8"
Should cut down shipping costs Smiley

At most, 10 hours to go until details released - man it's been a long wait but it's finally almost here Smiley

I using this command from time to time to see if he is still redirecting to btcfpga.com

Code:
curl -sL -w "%{url_effective}\\n" http://www.bitcoinasic.com -o /dev/null

Cool

I couldn't care less about the dreamy promises that BFL is making about their products. What i do care, and what i do want to see in this thread are actual informations about the bASIC products. So please, let this psycho scream for attention and leave him alone, this will do the most harm to his strategy. Do you really don't understand that Inaba is only trying to trick Tom into being "unconfortable" about their bASIC power requirements? it's clear to me. They are trying to slow him down, with whatever method possible. Tom, do not buy this dirty trick. Release your power informations, i'm personally fine with even 800W for 54 Ghash/sec if you keep the delivery promise of early December for example, and i'm sure others will encourage you to do so as well. Also, you said you have a prototype board laying around, why don't shoot some pictures ? even if it's ugly, we understand it's not a final product.
Tom I support you wholeheartedly, please listen to my advices!

Soon it shall be done... Cue the music!

2779  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Decentralized mining protocol standard: getblocktemplate (ASIC ready!) on: October 20, 2012, 11:20:59 PM
I do intend to improve BFGMiner's GBT implementation such that it transparently combines pooled and solo mining, at least.

That is planned in release BFGMiner's 3.0?
2780  Other / Off-topic / Re: Already delays in BFL shipment plans? on: October 20, 2012, 11:12:13 PM
First it was Oct, then Nov and now Dec. If Tom is able to deliver end of Nov the BFL per-order customer are screwed. If this Dec news is true my estimation is, that customers will not see any BFL ASIC product in 2012.

If a gambler were to bet on both of the favorite horses to win, then the gambler would win either way.
Yep. I have preorders for both BFL and bASIC for roughly equal amounts of USD. I don't really care which company releases first.

I would have put money down on some Avalon as well if their pre-ordering process wasn't so fucked up.

Gooda Joba!
