I made so many bad decisions today it's not even funny. I can't fucking believe that I managed to lose some money on this drop to 340 and rise up instead of making a killing.

I'm in the same club. I took my principal away long time ago, but still! Almost half of my gains in coins since December have been wiped.

I don't think they were bad trades. Somebody with an enormous amount of fiat and coins made trades designed to crush small traders.  There are forces at work I don't understand and I'm not back in the market until I understand them.

It's not bad TA. My TA always sucked. I read a story about Doyle Brunsun folding a full house Aces over jacks because some betting was going on in the game he didn't understand. It turned out he made the right choice.

There seems to be massive insider trading. Not skimming. It seems like someone is trying to take it all, to corner the market. A market traded as thinly as Bitcoin (relative to market cap) is vulnerable.

It's almost impossible to trade this. I got caught with shorts while I was sleeping and when price was 450 (my shorts in 480s at next Fibs retracement, it was almost safe trade at that point) and all trading I done after that was to try to save that trade. Made hundreds in the meantime in many small trades but failed to cover at some small loss on dip to 490$ as 460-470 look so certain by all TA and orderbooks, just for some mental buying to occur each few hours at China.

This is some big insider buying and trend reversal or someone wants to get out at higher point. They bought lot of coins so first looks more probable. Then again, I'm still not feeling comfortable with all this China shit, you never know when they'll hit from either side. They really have managed to cool me from Bitcoin. I hope they'll pump this shit to the moon soon so I could take some big money and take a nice rest.

told you guys this is not safe to trade, we will be going up on waves till the end of this month then the price will be somehow stable for some time (couple of weeks).

and good morning Smiley

The EW traders are making a killing right now. this is a traders safe haven. never a better time to trade than when the crowd turns.

Bullshit. EW traders on TradingView are bearish last 10 hours at least and many of them caught with shorts around 500.

So called EW prophet DanV is spouting his usual waves bullshit all the time, just to rearrange when he misses it completely. He caught one good long trade prediction (Bitcoin failing to 500$) and makes 20 bad daily, yet people look at him like he is from other planet.

Fibs could make some money last few days but only real money really could be made by people who bought in 300s and 400s as this rise was just mental and buying waves were coming out of nowhere and when nobody expected them.

Meh, I don't care really, easy come, easy gone, got caught at wrong foot, fair play.

I do hate though when I make bad timed decisions in 30 seconds or so, I've done at lest 3 such today that could cut at least half of my losses.

Alts saving me again, already pulled back 1 BTC profit from DGC rise.

I won't lose anything in coins, I sold most around 600 and if this is true reversal I'll make many 200-300 coins from alts investments but I lost 2500$ today as I left some shorts around 480 when I went to bed last night, fought last 15 hours, hedged and what else not, just to throw the towel on the very top at 435  Grin

Few days ago lost 2000$ trying some bot who bought at 430 and sold at 409.

I'm just not good in BTC vs USD, luckily I've done good in alts in last year, otherwise I wouldn't have dollar to show from that period.

It would be salt on my wounds if this shit would get dumped now.

It is with regret that I announce I have gone bull, and have bought back most my coins in phases over the past 3 days. Once the 3D cross happens (which seems inevitable), I am offlining them, and taking a break from trading during the midpoint-consolidations.

Agree, 3d MACD is about to cross and that alone would push this a lot.

Not sure how long that will last, I don't see that anything changed in last few days that would be worth of trend reversal but Chinese played this perfectly and got me off the guard.

Why is NMC up? meowbit.com... my pleasure Wink

Because Bitcoin exploded and it followed it. My pleasure too.

Seriously, one just needs to kick emotions out of his trading, trade only Fibonacci retracements and he could make a killing with Bitcoin.

I'll let you know when I manage to do that.
2772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 15, 2014, 02:11:02 PM
The price will go down, because this spike wasn't caused by new money entering the system, but by moving around of some money that was already in the system. And it's not a lot that's in, so it was only a matter of time when the rise gets exhausted and starts to fall back. I think that we will see some low volume aftershock waves today, and maybe even tomorrow, but it won't be long when the price drops back to sub 400. As long as there isn't new money coming in, then it's a bad call to just sit on BTC. Only thing to hope for is that the drop will be fast and not slow and ugly, like it has been for the past months.

What's this concern with the money entering the system being "new"?  It's as if you think all of the people who cashed out during the double ATH withdrew to their fiat accounts and have washed their hands of Bitcoin.  There is a lot of money on the sidelines.

By the sounds of it, my advice to you would be to sell all of your coins and never come back.  Surely it's the end of Bitcoin since no new money is coming in and it's going to be a slow grind downwards.  The peanuts you'll earn trading isn't worth the risk of losing your capital.  Just leave now and keep your money safe.

Exactly, I withdrew maybe 5% of my ATH gains from last bubble. All other is in crypto or in fiat on exchanges.

I am such a sucker sometimes, lol

I shorted 20 NMC from 625 thinking I am shorting 20 BTC of NMC, lol. And I was wondering how the hell my profit was so small  Roll Eyes Grin

At least 500$ profit missed, I need to get slapped sometimes.

lol thats one to learn from  Wink

It was my best chance to make some money today or at least not to lose as I went to bed last night with some 480s shorts, and completely missed the rally.

Jeez, I need new brain these day, this one was burnt by crypto already  Grin

So today we broke above the linear line (which was a mathematically inevitability to occur by July), rising $3 above it for 20 minutes. We then failed to break any logarithmic trendlines or even come close to the ichimoku cloud. This breakout is just like the breakout in March but with half the volume, and the push on stamp was split into two little pushes on two days rather than one big push on one day.  However, the chart on Huobi looks almost exactly the same as Huobi's chart in March (which had two pushes).  Right now everything just seems exactly the same and I don't see any clear signs of reversal.

Seen as you don't sit in either camp, you are getting it right so often, and your knowlege is superior to almost everyone, I am going to take what you say very seriously from now on.

how long have you been trading?

I do not claim to be an expert trader or a professional trader.  I have been trading crypto for a little over one year. I also traded penny stocks for three years but did horribly. I am now moving into forex and big board stocks with some of my bitcoin profits.

Yeah, I'm moving partially to forex too, at least no need to worry about liquidity. But it's long way to go, much easier to trade crypto.
The problem I'm going to have with forex is you cannot see volume...

and order books, we're used to trade watching at it.

BTC-e lags about 15$ behind Stamp today, they are really something - when price goes down they're that much below.

Not sure It will rise up to my short orders in 470s/480s
