I just want to know how you did it.

A few weeks ago I discovered the address labeling feature in Etherscan. Attaching names to addresses makes it easy to see where tokens are moving. I can look at an ETH transaction and make an educated guess about what kind of tx it is (personal, deposit, exchange).

Sometimes bounty hunters do make legitimate transactions with one another but yours don't fall under that category.

Please don't post here unless you are contributing something related and of value.
2762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield Guild Games (YGG) token sale: $13 million, 32 participants, 31 seconds on: October 02, 2021, 07:17:41 PM
Hi!

Seems interesting.
How I can demonstrate involvement in the guild?

Jaanus

The quickest way to do that is to join their Discord channel, read a bit and take a look around, and try to find a place to fit in. They have guilds in a few different blockchain games now. I personally think the space is totally oversaturated. Most regular people are priced out of doing anything ETH-related.

The concept is great (earning money by playing video games) but I have my reservations about the token. Less than 7% of the total token supply is currently in circulation and it seems to be a toy for the already very wealthy (as are a lot of crypto projects)... kind of the antithesis of the whole "community-first" ethos they supposedly have.

They were supposed to have given away millions of tokens to their community by now but instead it seems to be all about keeping the price propped up.
2763  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you listen to podcasts? on: October 02, 2021, 12:01:48 PM
Just so happens I love comedy podcasts. I recommend

- Your Mom's House with Tom Segura and Christina Pajitsky (sp)
- Improv 4 Humans with Matt Besser
- How Did This Get Made? (bad movie reviews)
- The Monday Morning Podcast with Bill Burr
- I Don't Know About That with Jim Jefferies

That's a good start. For non-comedy podcast I like:

- Darknet Diaries
- The Joe Rogan Experience (somewhat comedy)
- Crimes of the Century
- Around the NFL

I'm subscribed to 23 podcasts in all, that I listen to regularly.
2764  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: October 02, 2021, 10:14:15 AM
Some news lately in the court case against our old friend Craiggy Boy.

On the heels of the defense's motion to introduce electronic devices as evidence (supposedly these devices contain proof that exonerates Craig from wrongdoing but are encrypted and wiped), the prosecution plaintiffs filed a brief to "support the demonstrative they intend to use" in the trial's opening, which will be a jury trial.

The opening of the brief:

Quote
Plaintiffs plan to use a single demonstrative exhibit in their opening statement. This demonstrative is a basic timeline of events composed exclusively of Defendant’s own statements.

The entries are all either (i) emails from Defendant that were produced by Defendant in discovery, or (ii) are clear admissions from Defendant (e.g., audio recordings, transcripts, or deposition testimony about Defendant’s statements).

Despite these statements’ apparent admissibility, Defendant originally asked this Court to exclude the entire demonstrative because he “objected” to the admission of his own statements into evidence.

That last part is particularly compelling. I wonder what excuse he would have for objecting to his own thoughts. Maybe his thoughts were controlled by Blockstream radio rays at the time, but more likely its simply a matter of his Asperger's, which is where he gets his profound genius from after all.

Among the things Craig does not want the defense to mention are statements he made to the Australian Tax Office, such as:

Quote
• “A long-term friend of mine, Dave Kleiman and I, started that so that we could start building an exchange platform,…Dave and I had been friends and sort of partners that way for a long time.”

• “There was a trust set up to put a number of bitcoin that Dave was mining and everything like that into,” which was used as a “funding mechanism . . . [f]or research . . .”

• “When we were starting originally, we looked at a bitcoin value of probably $20 million. By the time we started looking at actually capitalising that and around Dave’s death, that had gone up to, I think, $100 million.”

All the other quotables Craig is objecting to have to do with the partnership, which I could care less about because its all fake. But Dave mining Bitcoin and them having only "$100 million" in Bitcoin (telling tall tales even back then) doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. Even back in 2013 the market cap was already over $1 billion, and Satoshi's share of mined coins was a much greater %. Maybe Craig will say he mined Bitcoin on the side as cover to distance himself from being a S.N. suspect. Roll Eyes

Amazingly the charade continues. At the rate that things are going, the price of BSV will have wound down to close to zero by the time this thing wraps up, maybe around the year 2025.

The next hearing is on Oct. 14th.
2765  Other / Meta / Re: Are we now allowing obviously false information to be posted as truth? on: October 02, 2021, 12:38:37 AM
The strange thing about the internet is that it has enabled confirmation bias to an extent never seen before.  It seems to have a particularly strong effect on narcissists and anyone else who already has a disposition towards narrow-mindedness.  And if all someone does is constantly reinforce their preconceived notions, it probably will start to inhibit their ability to reason.  I think people can only do so much of that before their brains turn to mush and they go full-crackpot.

You just described a good number of full-time P&S residents here. I agree it is odd and counter-intuitive that when presented access to unlimited information, people generally ignore it to hone in on finding evidence that supports their pre-existing beliefs, so they don't actually have to learn anything.

If, as a result of this, someone is completely misinformed to the point where they can no longer distinguish between reality and fantasy, is it still an act of malice?  Or should we feel sorry for these fractured minds?

No, he clearly gets joy out of being an annoying maniac. So I have no sympathy for him beyond that of any normal person.

 Cool

I can't really see any upside to this for anyone, but if it's necessary for some unknown-to-me reason to allow this nonsense to continue, maybe those threads should be locked after a few responses. That way the troubled person still has an outlet, but there is less collateral garbage. It should be quite clear by now which topics will never result in any kind of intelligent discussion.

This sounds great. It's not like mental illness-driven posts just don't have to do with Bitcoin, the blockchain or crypto -- they don't have to do with anything. Maybe they can be moved to Off-Topic and we can further designate that as the trash board.

The upside to tolerating manic nutcases like Bitunlocker is eventually they crash hard, disappear and have to recoup for a while. As one of the forum's most prolific posters, BADecker is truly touched, however.

I am more than happy to make a jpeg for anyone who asks.

I'd like one please.

Me too please. I still don't know what to do with it, but I'll save it anyway. Maybe upload it on to some NFT chain thing whatever and watch it go to $1 million huh ... but the gas fees..... or wait for taproot and make a nice shnorr NFT or whatever.

Thanks! Ooh, its in jfif format, exotic.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing. The only chain for WO NFTs should be Bitcoin, which is quite do-able thanks to Counterparty. The price of XCP has already 10x'd in the last few months, which makes asset creation a premium -- the way it should be. The NFT data is then stored on the Bitcoin blockchain, which should be the Gold Standard for NFT platforming. But the question is: what data do you save, and where do you save extrinsic image data? I'll show you in a bit, I'm working on it.
2767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 01, 2021, 10:09:48 PM
Dammit. I blew it. Gonna take a cooling off period before I do the Unforgiveable and go 0-4.

I bought Madden 21 for Xbox the other day because Madden 22 has terrible reviews... It turns out Madden 21 is only slightly better. Its been about 5 years since I last bought a Madden game. While the graphics have improved, a lot of the mechanics have not, and there's some serious bugs during gameplay that causes players to do shit they would never do in the real life. Like RBs side-stepping at the 1 yard line into a bunch of linemen rather than just punching it into the end zone.

Its still kind of fun. I like the Fantasy Franchise mode where you draft 54 players as one of the NFL teams. So its like NFL but the players are randomly jumbled across all the teams.

Who do you guys like this weekend?
2768  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Creating Hype website [all4hyip] on: October 01, 2021, 07:00:57 AM
Philosophical question about this.
Fine, we all know hyips are scams.
What about the people who design ICO / IEO etc. sites do they get a tag?
What about the people who design the sites for obvious scam casinos and such.

I think we have to tag them all or none.
Personally I have no issues tagging them all, but that's me. How do others feel.

Probably should have this discussion in meta, but I saw this post and figured it was worth a comment.

-Dave

In this case I think tagging this account is more of a morality issue because the tag is supposed to mean this person is inherently untrustworthy, which may not actually be the case. As far as we know this person has a perfect professional track record, and has never scammed anyone.

A lot of people who joins HYIPs know what they are getting themselves into, and I don't see what good tagging this account would do other than punishing someone for their choice of employment.

Its inflammatory garbage and makes Bitcoiners collectively look like morons to outsiders who aren't aware of the libertarian "freak flag fly" bent to how this place is run.

This thread is more a testament to BADecker's masterful trolling skills that he could evoke this kind of response from a post. His posts are stupid, but at least they are creative enough to bait the unsuspecting.

I have him on ignore, so its not a problem for me. It works.
2771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 30, 2021, 11:04:26 PM
Alright so I'm a fat 0 and 2 for my picks this year but let's see if we can change things up early this week as I'm feeling mediumly confident about this one.

Today I'm taking the Bengals at -7.5 over the Jags. Bengals are likely out a few key players but its a home game for them and the Jags are looking just awful this year.

I placed my bet before listening to this week's Around the NFL podcast in which the hosts (Dan Hanzaus, Gregg Rosenthal) give some really thorough analysis and good picks to boot. The memory on those guys is pretty amazing, they are like walking encyclopedias of NFL player stats. Let alone remembering what happened in every game last week...

Might hit the under and a bet on Cincy spread to hedge against an offensive explosion.  Anyone with thoughts?  Can't decide lol.

Under sounds right to me.

2773  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Creating Hype website [all4hyip] on: September 30, 2021, 09:51:37 PM
This is kind of interesting because this person offers a service that creates HYIP-related websites (aka crypto ponzi schemes), and they're apparently quite good at it. Just picking a random example out of his website portfolio:

https://uhyips.com/hyip/bitex-inv-5619

That one was from 2014, so he's been doing this for a while.

It could be argued that this account deserves a red tag on the premise that all HYIPs are inherently scams, because they are. But from a trade risk perspective it seems like he does his work quite well and honestly.

At one point several years ago dooglus got in trouble for writing scripts for Ponzi schemes* but he is still one of the most respected members on the forum.

*If memory serves he was simply hired to fix a broken script, so its not quite as bad as what this guy does.

Last we left it I had asked you a question. Why do you want these accounts to get caught?

So you're turning on somebody you had sold a bunch of accounts to, apparently. That's great, I'm super excited for you but I got other shit to do.
2775  Economy / Collectibles / Re: What packs do I buy for the Topps? on: September 30, 2021, 04:01:14 AM
Those old timey baseball cards look pretty cool. You should buy some packs and open em. Share some pictures of your best ones.

My friend is mad big into the original Garbage Pail Kids series from the 80s. He has stacks of boxes of unopened packs from the different series, they stopped for a while and started back up again and have a hardcore following.

I was wondering maybe if you were talking about Topps Digital packs. They released half of 2021 MLB series on the WAX blockchain as NFTs, bought my favorite Dodger players, wondering when the other half is going to drop.

Surprised this board doesn't get more NFT talk. It's coming.
2776  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 29, 2021, 09:36:17 PM
Anybody like to share their thoughts on the current market, price action?

It looks weak AF to me. I mean, I think everything is OK & we should rally in Q4 but we really need to start moving up soon. Part of me is fucking concerned if I’m honest.

Lightning network. Twitter.

BTC is finally moving from being the best (and inflation-free) store of value to be the number one internet-money.

Hodl on to your socks.

People (well some of my favorite public indicators) are starting to give up hope, which means its a good time to buy. I honestly don't think we're going much lower from here and will end the year $60k minimum.

Please support this Type II flag on colires, a confirmed Currency Exchange and Accounts scammer:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2841

The number of similarities between him and other suspected/known scammers is too great to ignore, as is the evidence supporting the flag against him. Please vote Yes on Flag 2841 and help keep scammers out of our forum, thanks for your support.

#5. Page for colires.

I'm thinking this account is an alt of vareole due to the fact that they have many similarities.

Here's the scam accusation that supports the flag against colires:

What happened:
I need an aws 5k account, @colires willing to sell me that for $350(0.0074 btc)
I asked him to send me a PM with payment and service detail, he sent, but soon he want me to delete that PM because aws account trade is not allowed in forum.
I have looked @colires's profile before, I know he is very suspicious, so I didn't actually delete PM, instead, I fake a screenshot and sent to him.
He believed, then we continue chat about aws account trade.
Finally, we all agree on a solution: He send me a revolut business account deal through PM, I pay it, then he send me aws 5k account insteads of revolut business account.
After I paid, he sent me an account indeed, but then he clear chat history instantly, I don't even have time to save that account info, so situation now is I paid $350 and I got nothing.
I use multi TG account to contact @colires, he just keep ignoring, now it's already 24 hours passed, he still no responding, well then, I have already give him many chances, scam report here.

2779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 21 Million Fixed Supply Question? on: September 29, 2021, 05:07:44 AM
All altcoins have 0.00000000 8 decimal places? If so why 8 decimal places? The $1 dollar has only 2 decimal places. $0.01 cent

Actually ETH has 16 decimal places, which IMO is waaay overkill. So a lot of Ethereum tokens also have 16 decimal places, also for no good reason.

8 decimal places is standard among most other coins simply because that's what Bitcoin did. A lot of developers - the ones launching tokens with a quadrillion supply - are simply too lazy to change the code to reduce the unnecessary decimal places.

It's just laziness, really, is the answer to your question.
2780  Other / Meta / Re: Should the mod of P&S be fired for censoring once spartacus letter? on: September 29, 2021, 04:21:26 AM
Don't you realize what you're doing? You're helping them out by bringing this to their attention!!

The letter you posted was composed by a team of NSA psy-op specialists whose job is to infiltrate social media with pro-New World Order propaganda, paving the way for the Great Reset, subjugating would-be dissenters before they've even made the choice to dissent!

It's like Minority Report but real life bro.

You should delete this thread immediately because they're on to you now. As a matter of fact, you should probably delete all your threads and posts just to be safe, and probably not come back.
