2761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: November 14, 2021, 10:09:32 PM
With the volume of new projects available in the market I'm been too careful with how I go about investing in them and lately I rely solely on hype or trusted recommendations and with the hype I still do a little more research before ever taking in any risk.
You should and it is a must otherwise, you might lose your money on the spot.
That we don't need to rush, everything must be done in research coz this is the only way to avoid losses or that to stupidly invest in scam project. Even it was recommended by someone, I still don't make it but have to undergo any background check for market verification and to make sure that we are investing in the right and potential coin.
2762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: November 14, 2021, 03:08:42 PM
I wouldn't know how to put it in a simple term for a beginner to get it without much confusion, because in my case, I discovered btc and crypto in general on my own with constant research and reading online,
For a newbie to quickly grasp and understand btc, there must be a willingness to research personally, it will make whatever explanation given by someone else to sink in quickly,
Am not a good teacher hence the emphasis on self research which is the best approach to understanding btc and crypto easily.
It doesn't matter if you are a good teacher or not, even without a teaching background could be able to explain it but the problem is how to make it simple and so it was very easy for the listeners to get the idea and could also be easy to understand. In fact, even most of us here don't actually understand clearly and many were still in doubt.
However, learning won't just take a single day, a single session nor do we just rely on one source. But with the help of the internet makes these newbies gain additional idea and information as well.
2763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 14, 2021, 01:35:25 PM
I have recently seen a TikTok video of Mike Tyson sparring "practice fighting" and he looks great... just have a look at this Youtube video of him preparing for the fight ==> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy7s-ct-qqA

I think Logan Paul is creaming his pants, because I predict a Knockout in the first round for him. After all, Mike Tyson will not want to go all the rounds to the end at his age.  Cheesy

I just hope that Mike Tyson would still show the same strength as he was younger in this match. Just like Manny, being an older boxer has a little disadvantage because the younger player could move faster unless Tyson would show off his legendary moves.

You can't compare this fight to the fight of Manny against Ugas, that was a professional fight and Ugas is a champion as well. This match is a pure exhibition match and if we look at the experience of the fighters, clearly Mike Tyson has the advantage and that fact that he is still fit now, I have a feeling that his chance of winning is higher against Logan.

Agree with that, Logan Paul although young but we cannot say that he is stronger than Mike Tyson.

His record (https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/896698) clearly shows that he is a nobody in boxing, he is only popular because he brought his youtube followers in boxing, but that would not change that fact that Mike Tyson is better than him.
2764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 14, 2021, 01:04:55 PM

The arrangement might be giving way to each other, if they both win from these mandatory fights,

Calling for Inoue or other fighters from the same division will be their next target, though both of them need to win first before
thinking about the next blow.

Gaballo may give some hard time to Donaire. He is also aiming for this big break for his career. If he wins, then the belt will remain
to another pinoy champ, something that the pride will continue to celebrate.

I think either Casimero or Donaire will going to fight Inoue will definitely give a boxing fans a very exciting fight but since Casimero and Donaire seems to be under the same promotion maybe the much awaiting rematch between two Filipino fighters is somewhat impossible. However, if boxing organization like WBO would going to order for a rematch it would be possible. In my prediction, both Donaire and Casimero will going to win in their respective matches but its undeniable that Gaballo is not also a fighter that will easily give up.

Casimero first then that would be enough for me, don't get me wrong, I just don't want to waste time because I've seen Donaire vs Inoue fight and the result is likely the same if they'll do a rematch. If Casimero would fight, at least it's more unpredictable and Casimero might pull at upset.
2765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I helped 2 non-crypto people invest in bitcoin on: November 13, 2021, 11:11:00 PM
I hope you will also teach them how to sell at the right time.

Look, the market is bullish now so profit is guaranteed, but remember that it's not always bullish every day and we can be in times also where the market will struggle and that is the bear season, so let's see how they would react in a bear market situation, will he gets frustrated or will still continue to hold.
I think, that he needs to do next. A good explanation to the right person has no reason to fail but clearly, be understood. As these people were his relatives, that could be easier for him to guide them. They have an interest in crypto investment it means that they are also willing to follow what their teacher say's or else, that it gives them the reason to frustrate themselves and then blame back to the person who's telling them.
This can be a sad story but I see this different view based on OP.

Only I can suggest keeping them not hypes and never invest in a huge amount if they do not totally understand how this works.
2766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 13, 2021, 10:38:31 PM
With the available technology and security features it is possible to keep the crypto holdings in a much safer way. There is nothing to be paranoid, if you've made the holdings secured in a well planned way. Hacks are common, and for the same no need to worry that it'll happen with everyone. Rather than hacks these days phising sites resembling the original platform is the way to take control of user wallets. So, it is good that we use only the trusted link to enter any crypto platform.
Not anymore, even you use a hard wallet, that couldn't give the 100% safeguard of your accounts as hackers might find a leak that leads them to track and get your funds. It is really becoming serious, hacking has been our biggest threat and we can't underestimate these people as they are really smart and have the highest level when it comes to computers. Every single mistake that we have, that certainly their pathway to success and that we need to avoid, perhaps, it was really hard.
2767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 13, 2021, 01:18:31 PM

I didn't expect this trade though I already know that the "Death 5" will be breaking as they are old already. What are your thoughts with this?

Nothing personal here, it's just a business and we have to accept that it happened.

I'm also surprised at first knowing there's another trade from the SMB roster, and Cabagnot being a clutch guy is traded for Enciso, I guess the SMB are looking for youth that's why they traded their older players.

Cabagnot is 38 years old and Arwind Santos is 40, they are already veterans, so we can understand the decision of the management.
Yeah TBH I already expected this as well and I think that they themselves also expected this too since they are old already and we know how SMB works with regards to trading.
They've made controversial trades back in the years. The likes of Danny Siegle, Danny I, Caidic are some of the players that they traded even though they have great contribution to the team.

I will not be surprised too if Ross and Lassiter will be traded to other teams as well. I'm not expecting Fajardo to be traded as he can still play for at least 2-3 years with the team.

That was only one bad conference and they decided to trade some players, I think it's not fair as these veterans contributed big time during the times when the SMB won championships. BGSM is different from SMB because they value their veterans, they even keep Mark Caguioa until now and Jayjay Helterbrand were given a chance to retire in Ginebra.
2768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 13, 2021, 12:35:37 PM
Dennis Schröder finally had a game that he proved he is worthy of a big contract.
yes, but that's just one game, he needs to be consistent so he will be renewed and will have a chance for a bigger contract.
I'm not sure if the Celtics had already max their salary cap, but if they want to increase Schröder, maybe trading Brown would be a good option.

He led the Boston Celtics in an overtime win by contributing    38 points, I guess this is his best game so far this season.
With this contribution, I think the Celtics will find a way to give Schröder more touches on the ball.

yes, together with Tatum and that win really help Schröder as his effort would be useless if they lose.

----

Anyways, Curry is the real MVP and GSW will be the champion this season. I've seen enough, I'm convinced 100%
2769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not meant 4everybody on: November 12, 2021, 11:41:57 PM
That is the reality...we all are welcome but somehow, only a few were able to reach their goal while some are quitting at the start when suffering heavy losses and difficulties. Yeah, that honestly wasn't hard to start but at the moment when you are in actual trading, there you can find the reality about trading where you often lose than to make a profit. It is all about how to manage yourself from this situation, but if you have to gain more knowledge and are familiar with the market situation, that is pretty easy for you to deal with and adopt the changes.
2770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming on blockchain is the future on: November 12, 2021, 10:54:11 PM
Gaming industry has been here already even before the rise of these NFT-based or P2E crypto gaming platforms. So with this, I believe, blockchain gaming will survive even during bearish season. Now that a lot of gamers are finding a way how to earn from their passion, this will survive long. It is just in the beginning phase in terms of blockchain gaming.
Yes exactly, one gamer fall in love with the game, they will play it again and again. Moreover, if they can earn money from this.
But aside from gamers, from the tokens itself, for the general investors, it will depend on what game and also its progress development for the project itself. If this is about continuity, I believe that it will be still going on.
But about the token or coins itself, it will depend on how hype or how condition in the future about gaming projects, whether it is still profitable or not.

Gamers will still be in love with games even they can't earn money but the opportunity comes now and this likely it encourages non-gamers to get addicted. I hope this couldn't make a change in their life and still have their self-control. Because this could not be considered that a source of income but it happens nowadays, many people had got into this.
But I think we should have to remind especially those newbies that it a need to keep in balance and have to think this is risky and anytime, we can possibly lose our money if we fall into the wrong gaming platform.
2771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 12, 2021, 09:32:22 PM

Casimero could potentially face either Donaire or Inoue if he wins against his challenger, it's a task he cannot say no and he cannot lose if he wants his dream to be realized.

I think he will likely face Inoue as his promoter would not allow that to happen.

This is probably the scenario.

If both Donaire and Casimero will win against on their respective challengers, then one of the could fight Inoue, if one of them lose, at least there's still one left that could fight Inoue, in that way, both fights would give good money to their promoters since Inoue is popular and he will attract the fans to watch the fight.
2772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 12, 2021, 09:00:29 PM
Definitely 0% i would say and if you do look Logan on that previous fight against Mayweather then you could already see that stamina is also a big problem for Logan which
i wont believe that it could go par with the current old Tyson thats why im really that confident that he could snatch up this fight on easy win if he wanted to.
Well, as an exhibition fight  then this is already part of the script that they would need to dance inside the ring to entertain things up.

Lol, that's really true. Since all of this is just for money sake I think they can script out the total fight.
May be Tyson would also get a few punches on his face from Logan if that's on the script. What do you think ?
Will they go to such extent that they might script the whole fight or will Tyson keep his dignity and not lose it for money.
I think Mike still has his pride, some have stated that fights like this can ruin the legacy of a fighter and personally I do not believe so, however if the fight was scripted as you say I really think that is one of the few ways in which Mike could ruin his status as a professional boxer and a legend.

If he wants to do this for charity or because he needs the money or just because he misses being above the ring then that is fine, as long as the fight evolves within the rules of any fight then I have no problem with what happens above the ring even if he happens to lose, but a scripted fight is something that without a doubt the fans are not interested in watching at all.
He wouldnt really tend to ruin the thing he had built up for years back in the past and making himself look like funny or a clown on this upcoming fight
with Logan.

He would be surely thinking on how giving the fans a really good and satisfying performance and wont be tending on doing any bullshit to make look
himself to be a dumb one just for money that he could make on this fight.

Not really that surprising that there would be some criticisms but well lets just deal or bare with it.

By the right training and keeping his stamina good, I think that's what Tyson needs to do now because he already has the boxing skills and he is a legend, so now way Logan would outboxed him, unless he'll get tired and unable to throw heavy punches anymore.
2773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 11, 2021, 12:50:03 PM
For the promotion, again a full one month could have been enough for this fight. And the one handling this fight have many experience in promoting a fight so I don't think this will be a problem.
Donaire's fight is not hard to promote, but this fight is between both Filipinos and I think they'll get little audience compared to Donaire fighting another race like Mexicans or Americans, but still I'm hopeful the promoters will be able to make it a profitable fight.
2774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 11, 2021, 12:06:26 PM
That was the biggest game of Wiggins so far, he proved to his doubters that he can contribute big time and he really shines in that game against the Wolves. I don't know if he can still drop the same numbers next game but at least we know he can do that when needed.
He doesn't need to contribute that much every game, what he needs to keep is his consistency, if he scored 20 points per game and it will result in a win, I think that's alright because Wiggins does not only score, he is also a good rebounder due to his length. The Warriors are having a good time in every game they played, their chemistry is pretty evident so maybe we should now stop the discussion about the possible trade of Wiggins.
2775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making money while gaming on: November 10, 2021, 10:15:45 PM
happy to hear that your dreams can come true and this can be a reference for others so they can take the advantage of it too. enjoy the game and don't have to worry about wasting time on useless things because now you can earn money playing games. Personally, I've never tried a game like that but maybe in the future I can try it. Seeing you so enthusiastic and confident is likely to make many people interested in playing it with their own luck and effort.
Why not now since you have the plan to do this.
If this becomes the solution for jobless people, I think it could create more than hypes just like NFT games. Although this could have financial benefits since we have the chance to make money while gaming, however, on the other side this could also affect our mentality for it drives more people to become addicted. And not just that, this could also make losses if we don't know how to play. So be sure that we have to do research first and have some limitations.
2776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: November 08, 2021, 09:22:43 PM
This topic have taken the center stage of my thought we have seen how countries around the world are gradually opening the economy to adopt bitcoin and as a result a lot of government policies are already underway to develop a framework that allow regulation of the bitcoin ecosystem which have made me to wonder on this topic. Can a decentralized currency like bitcoin ever get regulated?
If the purpose is necessary and a must, I think it should be regulated but if not, then it must leave like that (decentralized) forever. I know that some merchants may have wanted to control it, they wanted assurance that they never lose because of the volatility of the market, and regulating it helps to have a less volatile. This can be good, it is not a problem but somehow, due to the greediness of many, that likely it becomes purely manipulated and that certainly has no difference then to fiat money in which crypto holders don't want it to happen, ever.
2777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling increase due to the pandemic, stats, UK on: November 08, 2021, 08:42:45 PM
^

It's just that some people see financial aid from the government during a pandemic as free money, which is why they spend it so easily. It is unlikely that any of them would spend their hard-earned casino money. Either these people are simply not sufficiently aware of the risks of gambling.
Probably this can be the reason for the increase of players but still some gamblers are using their hard earn money in the wrong way especially if they are too attached in gambling. The increase also because of the lockdown where physical casinos are not operating, gamblers learn how to play online as their alternative. Gamblers will always find a way to gamble, we can’t fully stop them from this.
That gambling addiction kills their finances definitely. This is also a reason why some gamblers are in touch with huge debts and some had sold all their asset and much worse to commit illegal just to provide for their addiction. With this pandemic situation, it can be good for the casino owners because of the growing number of gamblers but has also a bad impact on the community since many individuals got hock-up with such addiction and bring disaster to their life.
2778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Does BTC growing faster?? on: November 08, 2021, 08:10:24 PM

snip...
We can call Bitcoin as father of this crypto world because just after this all we have some very good things in life and many better technologies coming and improving our lives. Bitcoin is growing faster because it is decentralized form the control and freedom of funds the network offers is a big advantage just because of these peoples love this system and having good confidence which is the main reason for growing this very quickly in this world.

Even these advantages are not liked by many countries and authorities, so they are having some stick laws and regulations for controlling this all which are fail but having some effects on its community.
And besides that everyone needs an easier, tax-free, faster, more secure, transparent and efficient exchange base that is bitcoin. and the freedom to use it without being controlled or managed by the central bank and all we control ourselves.
and the real reason why bitcoin is growing faster is because the demand and supply in the market continues to grow because they believe bitcoin is a promising asset and investment that can provide good returns.
And yes, they never fail. Investing in Bitcoin is such a great opportunity (some don't see it) and the reason why the demand keeps on growing, not fast though but as we can see, it grows continuously making a huge spike almost every year. And we have to expect such growth if all countries are supporting crypto and much more if that is officially legalized and accepted as a mode of payment by major establishments.
I can't assume that Bitcoin will stay forever but might possible and it turns out become a huge crypto investment.
2779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 08, 2021, 02:17:04 PM
For MVP candidate, never miss Caruso LOL! Well, tbh I guess on the likes of Durant, Jokic, Giannis, Curry, are in that race.

IMO, Durant should be in the top 1 now being a contender in the MVP race, he is very efficient and he can make at least 30 points per game without a problem. Giannis and Jokic, they are not so consistent yet, their teams struggles a bit but Durant keeps winning for his team and getting good numbers.
2780  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Cryptocurrency for 1 Week! on: November 08, 2021, 01:38:36 PM
Trading within a week gives a lot of lessons if you make a trade while the market goes up trend good for you but again not all the time the trading gives a winning day. The market trends can be your enemy or friend. Always learn from the mistakes, analyze and execute a proper way to earn back and get profit. The first week is not the same as other trades. Always make keep an eye on the market volatility it's crypto.

In my own experience of trading crypto with a span of 1 week was somehow exciting and full of lesson learned experienced, in trying a 1 week trading I keep on visiting the market from time to time, checking how the price goes on with just a moments of second. Though I have already set a limit of how much the price that I wanted to sell my crypto but somehow it didn't go the way I wanted to happen. I think 1 week trading will be easier for those expert in trading but for newbie this will be difficult, but still trade on your own risk and choose to try this day trading on a crypto that you think will going to have a good market price within a week for you to be able to get a profit out of it.
Well, just like you do. I check more often on the market due to some excitement but in the next few days, that is found hard and sometimes I think about to stop especially on those days that I'd lose half of my capital.
For me, a 1-week span in trading is not enough to test ourselves and our minds. A lot of things can be done and can't be shortened for just 1-week in trading. Maybe we could say that we are good at 1-week and might we are in perfect timing but this far different experience when the market just about to drop.
