Yes, lets admit it: our expectations were set too high. We paid for something 4 months ago, didnt recieve any support or update for months...still have not recieved our products...all this because we were naive an stupid, not because we are dealing with scammers.
2762  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 11, 2013, 09:06:54 AM
Anyone seen this?

【Avalon Factory】made by ccbmc!50PCS 110G 4# avalon mining Has shipped!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=271629.0

It seems someone has received a batch outside of Zefir.

Was the person who received in same country?  That would mean no customs troubles.

Sure. Other  orders got stuck on the way out of china.

What?! No.

1. There's a wallet that they still sit in.
2. They could goto Mt. Gox if they wanted to exchange.

1. Yifu stated that he doesnt control that address, and not a single bitcoin was spent from there
2. thats why its called private equity deal
2764  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 07:30:37 PM
This is one of the things that surprises me about the deal that is supposedly taking place, surely the investor would have done some digging, seen a lot of these sorts of threads and realised that all is not as rosey as the bank balance is suggesting.

It's hardly like there are loads of BTC forums, simply Googling his Yifu's name brings up a few "alarming" ones.

No.

"The investor" needed only a btc address. Our money from preordered chips went straight to his address (Yifu: "I dont control that address").

Then the investor paid those bitcoins to Yifu in cash who used those funds for the next gen chip. I bet that all this delay is caused by Yifu, cause he didnt pay for the chips on time.

Dude he's talking about the private equity deal that's taken place.

Which is ironic as Yifu at Bitcoin 2013 stated his greatest fear was a private equity funded company gain control of Bitcoin. Which is exactly what's he gone and done, first claimed by the members of Bitsyncom that split, then leaked to the WSJ, now confirmed by Yifu, and is what makes me so mad about this.

Don't judge these mining companies by their pretty words, but by their actions, as they tell an entirely different story and that's the only thing worth paying any attention to.

so am I.

the private equity deal = somebody took bitcoins from the orders for the chip, and gave cash to Yifu.

One of the reasons I am suspect of at least some of the group buy organizers and assemblers (i.e., TH) is that they have not been vocal at all on this subject - they remain completely silent. Why have they not all banned together to find answers weeks ago? None of it makes any sense unless they are involved or in the know somehow. They may already have the chips and are mining with them. TerraHash was originally supposed to ship the first orders between mid and late July, then they said August 15, now there is NO ETA.

They didn't plan to operate like a full-on scam where nothing would be delivered, it would just be delivered late and they assumed everything would quiet down once they were delivered even though the ROI was drastically reduced. In addition the first chip buyers who have their orders may have benefited as well by having the rest of the hashing power halted.

There may be members on this topic who are involved but playing good-cop/bad-cop.

I asked burnin what was his refund policy, since I paid in advance fo mor then 30 boards to him for the assembly job, and i paid more then 3500 euros for that, and he answered that he will not give full refunds, cause h ordered some parts that are needed for those boards. He stated that he will refund in his "financial boundries". I am really curious how much my refund will be.

He yesterday started to ship boards from zefirs first batch, I am in third.

So basicly i am screwed twice. Zefir said that we should sit and wait.

Scammy at least. Btw my order is a group order of small miners

They have it set up to benefit themselves and their buddies at the expense of everyone else - all of them are working together as a top-down pyramid scheme. They just needed the rest of us to fill-in the purchases and absorb all the excess chips needed to fulfill the fabrication limits. He will refund you a bit to the point he gets heavily discounted chip prices to add to his hashing power.

The boards are probably already done with the chips on them.

Burnin is a nice guy. Zefir was very professional too.you are exxaggerating.

The problem is that bitcoin failed twice here:

First, you have more chances to recover your money when paying with your credit card, or paypal.

And second, shit will fall on small miners, just like in reality they do, because system is corrupted.

I am DISGUSTED by most replies here. Almost all comments here are about missing ROI and the like. Hardly anyone mentions the terrifying times that team Avalon and their family went through and probably still are.

It's just GREED all the way.

Imagine you are a bright young man, with some bright friends, able to make a unique product that brings in millions and then you, your team and family found yourself in the crosshair of <fill in your local mafia>. All of you would take CARE OF YOUR FAMILY and would have to put your CRM on halt.

Yes, I am a customer of Bitsyncom, machines and chips.
Yes, I am waiting for some chips, but I will never let greed take over.
Yes, I will buy again.

Call me stupid, call me an idiot, but at least I am still decent.

 Cheesy
[size=10pt[/size]
REALLY?! So it's just now, when the fan is getting clogged full that YiFu decides to clue us in? He had to try and stop the hemorrhage that he created and came up with new music for the same dance. How did Batch #1 for Zefir get through, but amazingly no others? Not one ounce of apologetic verbiage in his whole sales pitch.  Angry I would give my right arm for a person with power/authority to be honest for once in their lives. How stupid do you think we are YiFu/Josh/next ASIC creator? You can't even accept your role in the failure. Almost the whole frickin' world finds someone else to blame for personal/business short falls. Man up, give your customers some concession due to the late delivery of your products and take the hit in your bottom line. If you do this, I would respect you YiFu. I'm betting that won't be the case.

*sigh* Cor aut mors

Ben turas is so funny in defending Yifu.

He ordered 500 chips from zefirs first batch, got them already and is giving some lessons abut greed and decency.

This story with avalon chips is turning very bad for small miners, and bitcoin in genrral.
2770  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 11:48:52 AM
About those pictures and the missing 14 mil of avalon chips.

Somebody did an investigation based on those shipment nubers and concluded that that shipmebt went from hong kong to mainland china ( i guess where.avalon fab is located).
2771  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 09:29:42 AM
Hi! I now understand bussines plan of BitSyncom. Several steps only:
1. Made over 1000% profit on chip and B3 preoders.
2. Deceive clients and fuck their minds through ignoring.
3. Build 100500 Avalons and chips on money from step 1.
4. Sell 5Ph at once, with 300% profit. Yeah for greedy naive clients. Difficulty skyrocketing and everyone buyer shocked.
5. Nobody ever made 100% ROI. PROFIT!!!

This!

All those chips from that leaked picture from the ex avalon member were used for th production of overpriced b3 machines.

We dont know how many of them were ordered and assembled, but we do know for sure that more then 1 mil of chips finished somewhere. All chip buyers now are awaiting new chips to be produced and delivered.

All chip and b3 buyers are fucked, cause they will never make roi. But most importantly COMPetition is fucked, because they flooded the network.
2772  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 08:02:16 AM
yes, dont hijack this thread with some rubbish!

YIFU GIFU TOOK 8 mil $ in preorders, didnt deliver, he fucked a bunch of small miners, and you are talking about avalon team and their security?

Dont feed that Yifu troll!
2773  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 09, 2013, 07:39:43 AM
I dont buy this story at all.

We all saw pictures of boxes with millions of chips inside them that were already shipped to mainland China.

Where are those chips?

I guess that Yifu made this story just to buy some time! We are all waiting for new chips to be produced!

Yifu you are a clown! You should pay for this delay!
2774  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: August 07, 2013, 03:03:10 PM
Great work burnin. One question for you.

I paid in advance for more then 30 boards. If my avalon chips dont show up really soon, I will have to ask for a full refund from you.

What is your refund policy?

I asked the same thing via mail yesterday. I'm still waiting for an answer.

I'm going to be honest, I think you'll have to share the burden of Burnin's financial loss. He didn't deserve this, and you and he all thought it was a sure bet, no one forced you to buy the chips and you all chomped at the bit to have someone create the products around them. I don't see why he should be out into financial difficulty or bankruptcy because of Bitsyncom's behaviour and lack of integrity. Burnin's has been Stella and transparent the entire way. If it was a Credit Card payment the issuing bank would have insured the loss, but to ask for him to find the money to repay everyone in BTC, which would have been used to pay for inventory and already depleted is not fair. Certainly he could give a partial refund covering the remainder of BTC once his costs and time have been taken...

I admire your honesty, but who da.fak are you to talk about burnins financial loss?

I paid in advance for 700 chips and got fukd by Yifu the man, and paid for 30 boards, again in advance. The way.i see it: no chips = no preordered boards = no financial loss for burnin.

30 boards = 3500 €

Ok I'm just taking a logical standpoint. Burnin' has been the textbook professional with respect to project progression and updates, regularly keeping all those involved with him upto speed.

He had to take payment in advance so he could quit what he was doing before, afford to live and pay for all the inventory required to design, develop, test and manufacture all the boards and associated components ahead of the proposed chip delivery. He's had to pay in advance for the labour involved and a sizeable order to be taken seriously by his board fabricators. He now has those items in stock. You asked, he's done his part, it' involved your cash and everyone else that put him upto it.

You all, Burnin' and yourself included thought it was a great idea. What could go wrong? The last people in the supply chain that anyone thought would intentionally mislead and refuse to acknowledge anyone was Yifu and Zhang. This is not Burnin's fault and I see no other choice than for your to take responsibility for some of your own risk if you chose this path and a payment method that's not covered by consumer protection and insured by a credit card issuer. I'm all for Bitcoin, obviously I wouldn't be here otherwise, but there's areas in which I would never use Bitcoin. Pre-ordering is definitely one, and payment protection is precisely for security in buying products and/or services that are delivered in future, i.e. travel, holidays, etc. This is not Burnin's fault and it's as much your risk as his. Sorry if you don't want to hear that, but you have to take responsibility for your own actions and not try and dump the blame on someone else...

Your premise is false. Burnin wasnt asked to do anything, he was offering his skills and service for the assembly of th boards with avalon chips.

No chips = no assembly business for burnin. Sorry thats th way it is.

Burnin did a great ob, I agree on that.
2775  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: August 07, 2013, 02:47:57 PM
Lol why so rude... Do u thing only u make investment? All bitcoin biz is a big risk for a players with big iron balls. U must to invest as much as u ready to lost!

No, no. You got it wrong. That was not an investment. I paid for a product in advance. The moment avalon didnt ship what was agreed my money became an investment.

The thing is that I dont want to invest. I would rather:

A: get my product on time
B: get my money back
C: make new agreement
D: call da police

Wht hapened with the price of H board? 450 euros is too much. Add to that 19 % vat, thats 550 euros, or 720 $!

Can we order h boardds from us reseller?
2779  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WTF Avalon? Ship the Chips! on: August 04, 2013, 01:28:29 PM
Didn't realize the community had to order $14million worth of
chips to get some actual customer service and maybe a long overdue update.

After 16 weeks, I dont need any bflsque in two weeks™ update!

I WANT MY CHIPS NOW!

2780  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WTF Avalon? Ship the Chips! on: August 03, 2013, 10:28:24 AM
Avalon shipped lots of chips to China, and those one who got the chips are resell the chips at rediculours high price. as the seller claim, he had very close relationship with Ngzhang personally, so he can "handle" some chip and supply it. He also claimed that the chips can only be produced 8k a day as the testing equipment have some problem. What an absurd excuse!

Concur, it's completely absurd.  Wish that there was someone with contacts at TSMC to check up on this situation.

Is it not out of their hands?! I thought a former disgruntled Avalon team member that wants to make his own next gen chip with the guy that calls Europeans lazy posted boxes of chips weeks back detailing volumes of chips in each box and the amount of boxes present equal to the chips on order, or am I way off the mark here?

if I recall correctly, that guy posted the pictures of finished Avalon IC in boxes, and said that he was leaving avalon team because of some unethical practices, and posted pictures of finished chips as proof. I didnt realize back then that he didnt post those pictures to prove that he is telling the truth (to be part of avalon team), but to prove Yifu's unethical practices.

I guess he didnt agree with Yifu to hold the chips till the shipment of avalon B3 machines. now he is developing his own 55 nm chip.

not blaming him, cause avalon after this will loose customers.
