2761  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-21] Bitcoin Displacing Gold Entirely Would Value BTC At $350,000: Is It on: April 29, 2019, 01:46:57 PM

Bitcoin is considered by many as the digital gold counterpart and can be a good alternative to gold investment. However, I don't believe that it can be able to really replace gold but can be existing alongside with it serving the global investment community. In fact, there are those who have invested with gold and with Bitcoin as well.
2762  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-24] Russian Opposition Leader Raises $3 Million in Bitcoin Donations on: April 29, 2019, 01:41:12 PM
This is a great use case for Bitcoin and a good publicity, people shouldn't forget that Bitcoin isn't about moon and lambo's, it's a technology of freedom. Next time I'll see someone on reddit telling people that Bitcoin is a useless beanie baby and a bubble, I'm going to link them this article as an example of why Bitcoin is needed.

Indeed. Bitcoin can be money unrestricted as shown by the story above...supporting those people who are leading campaigns against people who are presently holding the governmental power. This is showing us that in Russia there are still people who are not influenced by the Putin effect and have their eyes and ears open to things happening inside away from the consciousness of the public scrutiny.
2763  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-29] Brazilian Police Accidentally Discover Money Laundering Bitcoin... on: April 29, 2019, 01:36:12 PM

My impression is that it is not so smooth to be doing a Bitcoin mining business in Brazil where you are required to periodically do some reporting for your activities. The problem of this man is actually tied to his own history with the law and he might be charged with the stolen electricity thing and can be advised not to anymore do the mining.
2764  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-27] Goldman Sachs 'Missing Out' as Crypto Fund Assets Soar to $15 Billi on: April 29, 2019, 01:22:09 PM
I don't think that Goldman Sachs is 'missing out' in this sudden price spike.

We may never know, maybe they are secretly buying or used other institution to buy and leverage on bitcoin. Those guys behind are not that stupid to let this pass and not book a profit.

We have seen JP Morgan did it in the past, so I wouldn't be surprise if Goldman Sachs is another bagholder we didn't know.

There are indeed many ways that a big institution like Goldman Sachs can participate in this growing marketplace with no need to acknowledge that they are. One day we will just wake up that they are actually raking in profits from their cryptocurrency exposure. These people do not have an obligation to report everything to the public but to their shareholders alone. They can smell an opportunity from mile apart...like a shark smelling the blood.
2765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO WITH INTRINSIC VALUE THRU A FOUNDATION on: April 29, 2019, 10:59:01 AM
I am newbie here to cryptocurrency and looking to put my money to trade and grow for long term also and I came across to this Infinity cryptocurrency that says on their website that it keeps my crypto intrinsic value because it has its own Foundation. This is there website please tell me what you think about it? thank you! https://www.infinitysoftware.io/

In my view, anybody can put up a foundation or any legal entity for that matter. The best way to look at the project is the roadmap and the team behind the project plus some good luck on the process as nothing is ever guaranteed on this marketplace. All things here can be a gamble...some will be producing some fruits while others can tanked terribly. So goodluck to your search.
2766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FuturoCoin - a cryptocurrency of the future. on: April 29, 2019, 10:49:55 AM
I put much faith in this coin, this is currently mine most anticipated altcoin and I'm looking forward to see how it will develop in near future

You can making a good decision on holding on to FTO. I once had the opportunity to get some FuturoCoin right from the very start but I eventually decided not to and instead bought into projects that sadly became scams! What a waste of money, time and opportunity. I also left the parent company's main program (its revshare program) while the other programs I decided to stay on slowly died right before my eyes!
2767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nike is launching a Cryptocurrency Marketplace! Will this help Crypto Moon? on: April 29, 2019, 10:42:31 AM
News about Nike's marketplace can be found in this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/bz0PexMfMXk

Also if you guys like the video please like and subscribe so I can bring you guys the latest breaking news on a daily basis!

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion, this can be helping but not in a massive way. We know that as a brand Nike has a good following globally and they can be bringing this clout into the cryptocurrency sphere. The way I am seeing it now, its seems that big names in different industries are getting interested with the blockchain and cryptocurrency and since they have the resources at their sleeves they can finance the marketing of their platform to make it a great success...is this now a very important factor for a project to succeed influence and money?

2770  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Adult site CamSoda Accepts Crypto-Currency on: April 29, 2019, 09:16:28 AM
CamSoda is trying to grab their chances on crypto payments for there live cam sites. as we know some months ago PornHub also tried accepting crypto payments but then found out it was only 1 percent of their total earning was paid through crypto's but they are still a very optimist about cryptos. but CamSoda is going for it as it is a live cam which is more likely to get monthly subscriptions too.

Well, we know that "sex" sells and the market of porn is getting bigger and bigger everyday...even bigger than Hollywood is. Now, porn and cryptocurrency has the potential to be good friends as many porn customers may want to be anonymous or private in dealing with their favorite sites. Let's see if Camsoda can be able to attract customers who are to use cryptocurrency in their transactions.
2771  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon and Bitcoin on: April 29, 2019, 09:13:05 AM
We really need Amazon to start accepting Bitcoin as payment again. Has anyone heard anything in this space?

A lot of people have been clamoring for Amazon to consider accepting Bitcoin as one of the mode of payment available on the giant eCommerce site but until now it seems that Amazon is not really interested. And it can be because they know for sure that the market is not that viable enough...they know that other merchants have done the same and the business volume they experienced is not really impressive. Amazon is business, they want to make money and they know when it is time to be a part of the bandwagon if they can see one.
2772  Economy / Exchanges / Re: NY Attorney General sues Bitfinex on: April 29, 2019, 09:08:09 AM
The NYAG say Bitfinex believes the cash was stolen. Bitfinex in their statement say "we have been informed that these Crypto Capital amounts are not lost but have been, in fact, seized and safeguarded". These two statements conflict with one another.

At the end of the day, if Bitfinex does not get this money back, I don't believe they will be an ongoing concern. They made an estimated $6 million in the past 30 days in operating profits, but half that will need to go to interest for the Line of Credit. At this rate, it will be years before the losses are recuperated.

The statements released by the AG and Bitfinex are indeed of conflicting nature, yet I for one thinks that Bitfinex is on the wrong here due to the nature of its relationship with Crypto Capital. No contracts whatsoever are binding their relationship with each other, and one party, Crypto Capital, can just run away with the money and Bitfinex can't do something about it. As for operations, many traders have already been pulling out assets from the exchange in question, and could potentially lead to its closure just months after this case was filed.

Poor finex, but they had it coming anyway.

This can have debilitating effects on Bitfinex as we know that people are always afraid of any business that experienced highly-publicized case on the court. Bitfinex remains to be a big player in the cryptocurrency exchange sphere and I am still hoping they can be able to overcome this one, learned from the lessons here and move on to continue being a big leader of the industry.
2773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM GOING MASSIVE ?! -Time to buy now on: April 29, 2019, 08:44:48 AM

I believe on the same thing primarily because I have Ethereum myself and I bought them at $300 price...so I am hoping that soon it should be playing around $500 minimum and yes if possible go towards the $1000 level. Realistically though, the $1000 wish may not be coming this year and not even next year as we know that there are now no more big ICO projects that can demand more Eth into the marketplace.
2774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why we have this guy to thank for Mixing and Privacy Coins on: April 29, 2019, 08:30:53 AM
David Chaum is a living legend. I think now those no coiners would praise his contributions to cryptography.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Chaum
I'll edit this post and will say my opinion about the interview.

What an impressive man! David Lee Chaum has contributed a lot in the field of cryptography. How I wish he can be the real Satoshi Nakamoto haha! We need more men and women who have the genius, the character, the ingenuity and the vision just like what David possesses. The world can be so progressive and a better place if we have more and more people possessing the qualities and traits of Sir David Lee Chaum!
2775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple (XRP) Price Holding Crucial Support & Likely To Bounce Back on: April 29, 2019, 08:25:30 AM
Ripple is a risky investing in my opinion. Real circulating number is unknown and it can mint infinitive amount and most of the tokens held by the same company. And i choose not to trust this company regardless of what analysts say.

You have a good point and in fact there are many people who are holding the same opinion with XRP and the people behind this platform. I actually have some XRP and I bought them when it went sky-high $3. I know it was a very bad decision on my part...it is akin buying Bitcoin when it almost reached $20K. Right now...I am praying it can go as high as $.50 then I will dispose of them or maybe if Nexo can accept XRP then I will use them as collateral for a loan. XRP has been a divisive entity in the world of cryptocurrency and will continue to be playing that role for some unforeseeable time.
2776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is favourite bounty in 2019?? on: April 29, 2019, 08:20:10 AM
I stopped participating in bounty year back. After lots of unsuccessful projects I have may be my mistake of choosing wrong project. I wonder still anyone getting profit from bounty . If it is please share us your story.

Hello yes is still profitable. You just need to make sure youre following the right campaign. Ive participated on veil bounty last month and earned more than 100$ but not yet deposited on my account. For a month this isnt a bad profit. Now I transfer with Miracle Tele, a telecommunication project that run in a blockchain. I like the system of earning so i decided to jump ship. If you want you can join too. Im just saying that there are still some good project you just need to hunt them down.

Crypto has a lot of scammers even ICOs can be the same so better 100% do a research before joining in any campaign it saves you time and not waste some effort.

I am also with Miracle Tele right now doing the social media bounty...I think this can be a good project with a good future ahead. It is quite unfortunate though that in 2019 people got soured with so many scam projects and those that simply failed for different reasons. Bounty hunting can still be profitable but definitely not the same as in 2017 and 2018 where even flimsy projects can experience some bull run after landing in exchanges...these days getting into exchanges is not a guarantee that the price of a token can go to the moon and in fact many good projects performed poorly to the dismay of many small and big investors.
2777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / All ICO Project Proponents Must Also Submit KYC on: April 29, 2019, 08:15:39 AM

The KYC requirement in many ICO projects has been the bone of contention of many investors and supporters with many thinking and feeling that this is not needed as this is the industry that proposes decentralization, anonymity and privacy. However, a project can argue that it is the law that requires them to know their customers and they are in fact just following the regulation. The problem is that KYC is not a guarantee that a project can never go down the coffin and run with the investors' money...maybe travelling to the "moon" and have an indefinite vacation in there until the victims can forget their misfortune of trusting them.

Now, if these project owners can require us to undergo the KYC process...should it not be rational that they themselves submit to the same so that we can be sure that we are dealing with real people with real address?
2778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers running free on: April 29, 2019, 06:11:23 AM
Not until we start seeing crypto scammers get arrested for real many new investors won't join,I have friends that won't join crypto because of scammers running away with ICO funds forever ,no way to arrest them and get the funds out of them, the few news I read about getting some scammers is not enough ,the more there is an effective way the less scammers will harm crypto

I have been saying this for long...the whole industry has to do concrete steps to contain these scammers otherwise the bright future we are looking for can be compromised as many victims are scared to get back into investing again and the reputation of cryptocurrency is being damaged. The problem starts with the fact that it is easy to start a project and proceed to crowdsale without getting vetted or getting the necessary permits to show that the people behind the project are real and not hiding anything. There must be a way a KYC for these project proponents instead of just requiring us to submit documents I think we should also require these people to do the same.
2779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too much crypto payment projects but little people accepting crypto payments on: April 29, 2019, 06:02:06 AM
Indeed maybe there is too much projects and people don't know what to choose, but PayPal is against of buying crypto with, and if PayPal will somehow fix the refunds problem and will let people buy crypto with then more people will buy crypto.

There is a big possibility that soon PayPal will be introducing a platform that can bridge cryptocurrency and its established payment facility. As of now, maybe the people behind PayPal has not determined the market for this that is why they are dilly-dallying the decision. Indeed, there is a big divided between the multitude of payment projects and the people who are using them for good. I am not sure why this is the case...is it lack of marketing or maybe the market is not yet that well-developed for now and is waiting for more time to mature? We need to reverse this trend to make the future of this industry more secure, sustainable and far-reaching.
2780  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coin.ph to Binance or Directy buying btc to binance using credit card on: April 29, 2019, 04:23:27 AM
Not sure dahil di ko pa natry bumili ng BTC sa Binance through credit card, pero pwede naman ata makita ung prices sa Binance diba? So I think madali mo naman atang macocompare ung prices. And yes, malaki talaga fees sa Coins.ph.

Proven na yan...mataas talaga ang fees ang Coins.ph kasi para silang another layer in the whole conversion process di tulad ng pag-gamit ng credit card na bank and the exchange lang ang involved sa transactions. I am suggesting to OP to do the transaction directly and see the difference kung ganu kalaki para malaman naman natin dito so we can be aware. By the way, I am also curious...aside sa credit card pwede din ba ang debit card and Paypal sa Binance? Ang Pinoy kuripot kaya hanap-hanap tayo ng alternatives para makatipid as long as safe naman lahat.
