1761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think Bitcoin has some limitations and should improve Bitcoin more? on: June 04, 2019, 06:14:17 AM
That is why a lot is being done with Bitcoin Lightning Network. The biggest problem with Bitcoin is scalability and if Bitcoin is ever to become a fully-fledged alternative to currently existing payment systems, it will obviously need to be able to compete with them. As of now, it’s not even close. To understand more you need to compare Bitcoin’s minuscule 7 transactions per second to Visa’s average of 24,000, and its peak capacity of around 50,000 transactions per second. There is a big difference. But, with Lightning Network things are changing gradually.

I agree with this. Bitcoin is far from perfect but it is evolving and will continue through the years. Just 10 years is not enough for a decentralized network like bitcoin to be the best there is...there will always be room for improvements. Scalability, speed and effective usability in micro-transactions are very important areas that need innovations that is why there is a continuous study, experiments and discussions along this line. We should also have the capacity to use bitcoin even if offline...soon this can be a big reality too. We just have to wait, have some patience and always support it all the way. Bitcoin is the future and that future looks very bright though on the road there will always be bumps.
1762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2019-06-03] BTC-Skeptic Buffet to Host $4.37M Lunch w/ Justin Sun on: June 04, 2019, 05:53:01 AM
Pretty sure Buffet won't change his stance just because he had lunch with a CEO.
No need for excitement for something that doesn't happen yet. If something like this is considered important, I doubt crypto trading can distance further from bull run fueled by emotion and speculation without no real use case.

Of course, the reality is that emotions and even hypes are being played before in the bull run of 2017 and we see it happening right now. I am sure you can never be excited with this news but people around Justin Sun and his TRON are....not because this has anything to do with TRX but  because again of...emotions. Unfortunately, for as long as we are human beings, we can never get away from emotions whether we like or not.
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [2019-06-03] BTC-Skeptic Buffet to Host $4.37M Lunch w/ Justin Sun on: June 04, 2019, 02:47:19 AM

On Monday Tron founder Justin Sun revealed that he had secured a lunch with the legendary investor and ‘Oracle of Omaha’ Warren Buffett. Securing a sit down with the man behind Berkshire Hathaway is a coveted experience that cost Sun $4.67 million, just a smidgeon more than the $3.3 million an anonymous winner spent for a power lunch with Buffett in 2018.

The crypto community is bound to be extremely curious about the exact nature of the conversation as Buffett is no stranger to cryptocurrency and has a well-documented history as a fierce critic of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general.

Previously Buffett has referred to Bitcoin as “rat poison” and a made-up speculative “gambling device [that hasn’t] produced anything” and has “no intrinsic value.”

This is a very interesting news story. We know that Warren Buffet is quite frank with his dislike with bitcoin and cryptocurrency and he went all the way to make sure that everybody hears his message by describing bitcoin as something truly undesirable. Now that Justin Sun won the chance to have lunch with him, many are wondering if the young man can convince the old man to change his seemingly adamant stand on cryptocurrency. This would be so interesting to cover, I am sure.

Now, if you were Justin Sun, would you try to convince the man to change his strong stand or would you just choose to enjoy the lunch and maybe just learn a thing or two from the Oracle of Omaha?

1764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet - Justin Sun - SHOCKING?? on: June 04, 2019, 02:38:22 AM

How far does Warren Buffet - Justin's news affect your confidence on TRX? But i think this doesn't really matter. TRX is still potential currency worthwhile bought.

Justin Sun seems to be enjoying the kind of limelight he is having with the media right now. He knows how to handle the media and though he can sometimes be controversial he is one of the most active and likable cryptocurrency personalities around. Now, you must be talking about the news where Justin US$4.67 million for a chance have lunch with Warren Buffet, who is, of course, known to be a big critic of bitcoin and cryptocurrency. It would be exciting to see the two meet...one is of modern and cryptocurrency world while the other one is considered as an old school. Hmm...what do you think they gonna talk about?
1765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you know xCrypt IEO on IDAX? on: June 04, 2019, 02:28:58 AM

I am actually supporting xCrypt right now on its ongoing crowdsale right on IDAX as an IEO. So why xCrypt? I find this platform to be one which is ready for the future and is claiming to also be legally compliant that is why it can take in STO projects soon. One of the most notable with xCrypt is its Hybrid Exchange which is not an ordinary compared to what we have in the market today. Just go ahead and do some research on xCrypt and decide based on those merits. Just be reminded that any project can go south as nothing is guaranteed.
1766  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-06-03] Cryptopia Files For US Bankruptcy Protection on: June 04, 2019, 02:06:08 AM

As what we are seeing now, Crytopia (or the people behind this exchange) is inept and is definitely not prepared to deal with a problem of this magnitude. Compared to what Binance lost, Cryptopia should have been able to deal with the blows if they laid down protection and insurance measures years before. Now, it has no choice but to file bankruptcy and be under the receivership to liquidate its assets left. Just another wasted cryptocurrency exchange with a  lot of members. Let's hope that other exchanges are learning the big lessons of the Cryptopia debacle.

Being the founder of Bull Bitcoin, I am not wondering why Francis Pouliot is very optimistic of its future value. I mean it comes in his territory naturally. But then, who knows, years from now bitcoin can really be that valuable due to the scarcity that he is talking about. When more and more people can be acquiring bitcoin, the price could shoot up into the sky. However, we also know that bitcoin can be very volatile and it can pullback significantly in just a matter of hours (just like what is happening now timestamped June 04, 2019).
1768  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-06-04] Bitcoin Dips Below $8K on: June 04, 2019, 01:30:43 AM

Bitcoin has once again fallen beneath $8,000 amid a sharp sell-off that saw prices drop to as low as $7,778 according to Coindesk data.

At 23:00 UTC late Monday evening, the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market cap began to fall sharply, enduring over a $700 loss in value on the back of strong volume. For several days now BTC has failed to rise above and firmly closeout $8,800 leading to a retest of prior supports as it struggled to pick up a bid.

Down 8.17 percent, bitcoin is struggling find a footing just beneath the $8,000 psychological price tag as the intensity in the pullback continues on high volatility.

The predicted dip is now happening with bitcoin. Whether the pullback will stop at this level right now or will it continue...that we will see in the coming days. I am taking this as an opportunity to sell some of my alts to get converted to bitcoin. People who are just waiting on the sideline should take an action now.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WISE INVESTMENT on: June 03, 2019, 04:28:19 PM
I think the best coin to HODL is still bitcoin ,65% of my money are in bitcoin and the rest on altcoins like ETH and LTC ,gone are the days when you will see 2000% of altcoins, bullrun has been around for months now and altcoins aren't favouring that much, they will be profitable but not just like 2017 pump

As for me, it is bitcoin and eth. I am seeing good returns on these two top cryptocurrencies. As to other alts, I think one can still pick at least five that has the best potential to grow when bitcoin can be making the next move towards the $10K level. Putting more than 50% of one's crypto holdings on bitcoin can be a wise decision.
1770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Satoshis Holdings and Supercomputing on: June 03, 2019, 04:17:34 PM

I am intrigue with the possibility of supercomputers with the ability to brute force private keys of bitcoin wallets. I supported one project with deals with quantum computing but rather than destroy bitcoin they will use the technology to protect it (or something to that effect). Will it be a reality one day? Or will it just be another dream that remains a distant dream? Well, only time can tell. However, I am wondering if one day supercomputers can successfully do it, will it not cause chaos and eventually bitcoin will lose its value and its price can plummet? So in the end doing this can be counter productive?
1771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - big announcement on the 1st June on: June 03, 2019, 04:06:44 PM

Hello, what is your opinion about new social platform Voice  that is going to be launched by Block.one (creators of EOS).
Do you think that they can succeed? Even Google wasn't successful with its Google+. And do you see any use case of EOS on this platform?

I am sure that before Block.one decided to go full blast with the Voice as one of the new social media platforms we can all use as an alternative to Facebook, the team is thoroughly thinking if they have a good chance to success in this market controlled by Mark Z. And what a coincidence that Mark and Facebook is embarking on a journey to cryptocurrency while the Voice is going to claim a share of the social media market. I myself is open to a new experience if Voice has many unique features that can excite my senses. Maybe EOS can be utilized in the platform to buy ads space or any services rendered within the Voice ecosystem. Good luck to the team!

Binance test stablecoin pegged the pound on Binance Chain

Binance Chain seems to be considering its own stablecoin launch. BGBP is an electronic currency that is pegged to the British pound. According to Binance's CEO, Changpeng Zhao, this stablecoin is currently only in testing, but their intentions seem serious. What do you think about this ?

This is another manifestation of the Binance power. One day they can be enveloping the cryptocurrency industry with so many products, services and platforms all rolled into one name: Binance. Such is the vision and the great managerial ability of the people behind Binance.

When a big hack is not able to kill you, what will you do? Well, create a stablecoin named BGBP, that's for sure! Congrats to Binance for this another exciting move!
1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICObench Weekly Digest on: June 03, 2019, 03:23:39 PM

ICObench Weekly Digest #22 is ready!

A ten-month high of $285 billion was hit on May 30th before a slight pullback.

1️⃣ Bitcoin price was $8,742.96
2️⃣ Crypto Exchange Bitfinex temporarily shuts down deposits and withdrawals
3️⃣ Binance DEX Website will geoblock users from 29 countries, including the US
4️⃣ UpBit Exchange phishing email scam came from North Korea
5️⃣ Coinbase president and COO departs from the company

Bitcoin is having a correction right now and is back at the $8,400-$8,500 range which is actually good as it can pull people to join the frenzy and thereby gather more energy for the next move upwards. In another news, here comes North Korea again sowing its oat of menace to the world this trying to victimize members of UpBit Exchange...meaning they avoided bigger exchanges this time and just focus on a smaller fish. Who will be the next victim is all up to them in there in NoKor. Thanks for the updates, ICOBench!

It's time to have Xumm fun!  If you own XRP, you need to learn about XRPL Labs new signing platform, Xumm.

I just visited that site above about Xumm and yeah its seems a lot of fun to use. Very simple yet full of surprises. Simplicity and ease of use are my standard when it comes to a wallet as I am not a techie guy -- I get headaches if I have to roam around the wallet just to figure it out its use. As stated in that site: "...we're building something my mother could use; and maybe even would want to use." And that is excellent! More power to the team behind the project and please connect with people who can help a lot to make the project get adopted by as many as possible as adoption is the key to success.

1775  Other / Archival / Re: Who will buy Bitcoin at $4000 ? on: June 03, 2019, 02:57:57 PM
Bitcoin went up from $1 to $4000 in 10 years  Roll Eyes But at $4000 who will buy bitcoins. Only buyers at $4000 will push people into buying Bitcoin and then they will sell and earn their easy profits. It was easy to buy at $400 or $1000. But $4000 is lots of money in USA also. Bitcoin growth story looks over.

I would gladly convert all of my altcoins if soon bitcoin can be back at $4,000 that would be a great bonanza. Not only me I think but a lot of people are actually waiting for bitcoin to take some dip so they can enter the bitcoin bandwagon. Right now, bitcoin is hovering in the $8,000 range so if you can allow me to buy it at $4,000 that would be a windfall of profits.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BEST IEO TO INVEST on: June 03, 2019, 01:00:19 PM
BEST IEO TO INVEST

What do you think ab IEO ?
At this point, the best IEO is probably the Harmony project at Binance exchange because this is one of the biggest projects in May and I'm very lucky to have tickets to invest in this project. I think in addition to Harmony, many other big projects like Bitsdaq, xCrypt, Cryptomarketads are also 3 projects that you need to be interested in at this time and have great risks if you are a venture capitalist. Of course I do not encourage you to join because these are just projects that I choose to invest

You must be one of the lucky people given the chance to invest with Harmony. With the latest I know it already gained x8 in the Binance exchange and because it is really a good project there is a big chance it can go full speed some more. Well, the only I don't like is the use of the lottery ticket because it kinda forces other prospect not to be able to enter...though I understand why Harmony decided on that strategy. Right now, people are waiting which IEO project can be on the launchpad soon. I am sensing that we are getting into the excitement which ICOs generated in 2017.
1777  Other / Off-topic / Re: Art Gallery on: June 03, 2019, 12:30:37 PM

We have 2 Gallery one in precious metal another one with great modern artist all of them base and register in London would love to see the interest about the bitcoin community and art

I am sure there are many bitcoin holders who are also art lovers...as the two are actually expressions of the ingenuity of the human mind. I am suggesting that to attract bitcoiners maybe you hold a special exhibit where the focus of the art is on cryptocurrency or you can hold an event where the tickets can be bought using bitcoin. Actually, there are many ideas just be creative. Art and Bitcoin...that would be lovely and pregnant with many possibilities.

1779  Other / Off-topic / Re: How To Make it in CRYPTO SPACE and in real LIFE on: June 03, 2019, 11:22:46 AM

Yes, don't give the time and attention to giving up. Usually, there are many dreams that never came true and lives that are lost because someone gives up his/her dreams in life. Things are not meant to be easy because had it been then we will not have a good concept of success. Getting there takes time, patience, hard work and persistence. We owe it to ourselves to never allow anybody or anything to get in our way to triumph.
1780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Dust Attack on: June 03, 2019, 11:10:18 AM
Do companies actually get traffic from this kind of stupidity? I would imagine that using that money to pay for a signature campaign or buy an advertising banner would have a much higher rate of return than pissing people off en masse with these dust attacks.

I have many addresses and have never once been subjected to this behavior. Presumably they use addresses which have previously been used to sign up for gambling services or maybe airdrops or something like that, so they know they are spamming individual people with active addresses, and not addresses belonging to an exchange or service or something similar. If that is the case, then just move your coins to a new address and ignore the dust attack on the old one.

They should better send those dust attacks to my bitcoin wallet and I would not mind...no matter how small those are still money that I can use even with paying the transfer fees. Anyway, it is really intriguing if using this strategy can bring in good results business-wise. Annoying people this way can be liken to sending spams, only this time it is more attractive being in the bitcoin form. I actually don't understand why it is called as a dust attack. I know why the word dust...by why attack?
