Did an hour of testing with pirateat40 last night with 27Gh. Prompt payment and he was way more than generous. Would be happy to do it again!

Looks like the pool went down after i started bringing my hash over. Sorry if i crashed the pool.

The pool has to run 100% flawless before more miners will come over...
Not sure if you are new miner or not. If so, I am happy that you came over. I know urstroyer has setup a "test" server to try out 0.4 of psj. I will help him test it with my hashing power to make sure it is working smoothly before moving over to the main pool server. If you have any other suggestions, let's get them over to urstroyer so he can implement. I have also recommend he use monit to monitor the different services on the server and restart them if necessary. Hopefully this will be implemented soon.

Any plans for a stats signature? I wouldn't mind changing mine btcstats.net USERBARS: Twmz, owner of btcstats.net, was nice enough to create a userbar for ABCPool.co. Using your API key and BTCStats.net you can show off your hashrate! They look pretty cool: Thanks Twmz! Caveat Emptor: I'm not sure if it is still possible to put these userbars in your signature at bitcointalk.org, since they seem to have disabled sig-images for new signatures. MC Maybe we can get TWMZ to turn these user "bars" into profile pic size images... I would donate a few BTC if he did for his service.

maybe the world's first public FPGA mining cluster system? or maybe the largest now?
6X Icarus mining borad (12X SX6SLX150) @ 360M/board. 2.16GH/s -peak/total.
power consuming: 115W (MAX) on the wall.
epic! how much did you pay? They are self manufactured. Now if only we could buy these boards for $100 a piece... I'd buy 100.

Looks like I need to start looking for a new home for my 32 GH/s... =(
Don't you agree that someone who is complaining about this without donating anything is very similar to an a..hole? To be fair, if the pool does not require a fee and he does not want to contribute, that is well within reasonable norms. IMHO, I don't think we should hijack the thread to start calling people out or using masked profanity. P.S. I am #2 on the donors list and haven't mined at the pool for a couple weeks now. Where do you mine at then ? Thanks. See sig.

Running poolserverj with very few shares
That's a shame. Guess you mean stales? Thanks for pointing that out. It has been corrected.

Just looking for that true blue bitcoin believer, I guess.
I consider reasonable offers. I might even part out. I'm all ears.
Reasonable price for a 5830 right now is well under $100. Just saw 8 on ebay go for $600. IMHO I wouldn't pay more than $70 a piece for the 5830s. And if you are getting 1550Mh/s per rig, you are about maxed. Maybe 20Mh/s more.
|
|
|
290 BTC per rig or make an offer.
The price would need to be much lower for this to be reasonable. I was building brand new rigs for this price and that included custom aluminum cases that get the same Mh/s.

I am glad to see the pool is growing. How do we get more miners to come over?

Interesting that there still popping up, wonder if sapphire got any xtyreme 5850's in line, Hope so. 5 series kicks ass Amazon had some 5850s a couple weeks back and I picked up a couple.

Granted, electricity prices are different in different areas, but has anyone done any rough math on the expectation of getting a block awarded?
Sounds like you are asking two different questions: 1. What is profitability of mining? -> Bitcoinx.com has charts how much you can make per day with 100Mh/s. -> http://bitcoinx.com/charts/2. What is the likelyhood of finding a block? -> Here is a calculator to see statistics around how long it will take you to find a block -> http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/old_calculator.php

As I said I would do, I'm here to indicate that I received my first interest payment today, exactly as promised. I also lent pirateat40 some more BTC. Can't wait for the front end. Based off of this feedback, I have made a deposit and will report back results as they come in.

How much would you charge per "share" in BTC to rent out your mining rig?
The mining world is talked about in Mh or Gh but when it comes down to it, you are getting paid by the pools for each share you do. So how much?
More to come...
urstroyer was doing something similar to this. He was paying PPS + 15%.

My linuxcoin's xorg got messed up somehow when the system rebooted, so I'm switching over to BAMT for my dedicated miner. I'll let you know what I think. So far it looks really useful.
I found BAMT far more stable than Linuxcoin for my two miners, of course YMMV. Now that my clocks are set per GPU, i rarely have any stability issues with the OS. mgpumon is awesome and I can even monitor my GPUs when they are doing other tasks. BAMT rules.

Hi,
Just a simple question about when a Bitcoin block and Namecoin block are found simultaneously.
My original intuition was that a hash for a merged mining header which Generated a Bitcoin block would also be able to generate a Namecoin block due because the difficulty of Namecoin was lower than that of Bitcoin.
I was later told that this was in fact false. While merged mining it is quite possible to find a Bitcoin block without a Namecoin block and that dual Bitcoin-Namecoin blocks, while possible, were relatively rare.
However, since urstroyer set up PoolServerJ for yourbtc.net all of the Bitcoin blocks (4 now) have come at the same time as Namecoin blocks.
Can anyone explain this? Does PoolServerJ somehow do something clever with the header to guarantee that Bitcoin blocks always come with Namecoin blocks? Is this just coincidence?
I think if you take a look at the yourbtc.net site, you'll see that the shares were not the same as the bitcoin share for this round are about 600 ahead of the namecoin round. I do find it quite interesting that we seem to find these blocks so close together though.

So it seems you've been a victim of faked stats.
I would just like you to test out the software before coming to conclusions as to what is going on. I would not donate to a project, nor spend my time giving you the suggestion to use the psj software, unless I thought that the results it produced were valid.
