It still says interest will be paid on 1-10-15. When will POI II interest be paid?  Period Proof of Interest II campaign starts on 01-08-2015. Period will be 2 months. Interest will be paid directly after that period. So that will be on 01-10-2015. Register for this unique second Proof of Interest campaign stops at 28-07-2015! After that date/time nobody can join the Proof of Interest II campaign and the fund will be used to pay the interest for the people who joined this campaign! The coin issued a total of 20 million, now has probably been mining how much?, I looked at trading networks, trading volume is very low
1) 25 million 2) totally mined as this moment; 2.128.083 (2.828.083 -700.000 burned) 3) Trading is stable for long time now. It's good specially during this period of holidays. People are holding their coins. Thats the best thing you can do with the Proof of Interest starting on 01-08-2015. More coins in your wallet more interest you receive.  |

While we are on the subject of wallet addresses (or at least we were a while back) I noticed that some people have "vanity" addresses for their XMG wallet. One or two clever people have patched the Bitcoin Vanity address code and adapted it for XMG. That's a neat trick. Does anybody have a version for public consumption?
Little bit late, but today I got some time to play with a vanitygen (I don't know if one existed before). magi have a special place in my hearth close behind of DMD there only two "weak points" in my opinion ONE is that its coinrollout is to much POW based im my opinion POW should be part of a coin just as a hybrid security feature main coinrollout via POS generate a lot of buy demand because u need coins to produce coins coinrollout via POW generate a lot sell pressure because people have to pay power bills i hope that in this area the coinspecs for longterm coinrollout get adapted a bit TWO is missing self adjusting POS coin split/ group stake coin merge (example of working code in this area is DMD Diamond) or if u want it simple just use a setable min pile size trigger for split stake (thats worse than the DMD solution but better than endless split stake) but beside this im very happy with community size and potential of future growth Thanks Cryptonit! Maidsafe and Bitshares listed as anonymous is almost as funny as Ripple getting the highest rating on decentralization. I think it got the lowest? Most everything about that list is... well, let's say biased. I just read the slide. He's quite right on Bitcoin, BitShares, Nxt and Ethereum thought. I guess he didn't study all of the cryptos he puts a rating on. Anyway, is there anyone in the world able to follow objectively all the cryptos ? I think nobody can objectively follow all the different cryptocurrencies! |

Updates: I have included the new XMG mining pool Minerclaim in the list of pools supported by my Autominer software for Windows. If you are already using this software, run the setup program C:\XMGminer\Setup.bat and choose "Download latest list of mining pools" when prompted on the drop-down menu. This will only take a few seconds and then return to the menu. Choose "Proceed with setup" and continue as usual to complete the setup procedure as required. I see that this new mining pool could do with some more support right now so if you can switch some hashpower over that would be good I have recovered all my possessions from the dangerous building that I was housed in previously, but have yet to find a new permanent place to live so it will be some time yet before I am back up to speed with everything. In the meantime, rest assured that I will be looking in from time to time and will offer as much support as I can with the limited resources at my disposal. You don't get rid of me that easily  I have been monitoring the price of XMG on the exchanges. There seems to be rather less XMG for sale now so I think the price may have bottomed-out. I have some BTC burning a hole in my pocket ... Thanks Spexx for giving us an update! Think you are right about the price. Keep us informed and good luck with finding a new place to live! |
