2781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best exchanges to launch new coin on: January 24, 2023, 10:06:28 PM
I'm launching a new mineable coin called Stohn Coin and I wanted to ask if anyone has an opinion on the best crytpo exchnage to launch a coin for the best traction for finding new users/miners and for the best echange listing cost. Trying to minimize expenses but find a reputable exchange.
If it's purely mineable, what do you mean by launching it in exchange? I am guessing you don't mean IEO?

What you should do first is release an announcement thread. Miners are following that board and it's considered a fair launch when its announced there beforehand and everyone has a fair change to participate from the start.

Smaller exchanges for mineable POW coins come and go and i don't know what are popular these days. Your miners themselves have usually have some ideas about exchanges,so you should ask them in your official discord or telegram.
2782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of NFT on: January 24, 2023, 09:35:32 PM
I really can't sell that, because nobody will have interest in purchasing, since just like me, they can also get a .jpg identical copy for free. On the other hand, you could never have an identical Monalisa painting copy for free. The market of art pieces can work only in physical format.

NFT artistic pieces are purely speculative and a method to launder money virtually.
People who i know who are buying and selling apes and punks aren't laundering money. They are paying taxes for them, just like with altcoins.

But would that money laundering argument apply in altcoins and why they sell as well?
Because one could explain the whole reason of making new cryptocurrencies, building DeXes and having icos, ieos, and idos as just a method to launder money.

And of course buyers are speculating. Whole cryptocurrency scene is purely speculative so i don't know why NFTs should be an exception. They are just in tokens with a different protocol.

And i wasn't talking about art and i am not sure what Mona Lisa got to do with this. I was talking about scarcity and linking nfts to pictures. And market tells us that they sell and work perfectly in digital format. It doesn't really matter if you call those pictures art or not. And what's happening now is whole another thing, you really can't draw parallers to physical art. Not yet anyway as there's no legit blockhain system that would transfer rights to art, securities or anything like that with permissionless / KYCless systems. They just are what they are.

But originals keep on selling then even if those are the same exact picture. Because people are buying scarcity and history. Quality of that "art" is irrelevant and a bonus.
And i am really baffled why people hate nfts. It's just a protocol.
2783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think about web3, metaverse? on: January 24, 2023, 05:30:54 PM
I think that metaverse and web3 were bubbles. web3 was just another gimmick. Metaverse was even making more sense compared with web3. I didn't even believe if real web3 was exist. All of web3 was not having different from mainstream platforms.
This is what people called as web3 has never existed. I don't know why people keep believing with BS about web3. lol. that's hilarious to see that.
Metaverse is a concept that's going to be big in some form. Technology trying to ride with it however was a bubble as no one seemed to know how to build it or who to build it for. So no one wanted to adopt it. Most of the people don't even understand what the concept is. t might be easier for people who have played online games to understand web3 economy.

I think that AR will make it easier to understand but AR tech isn't ready for it yet. But trying to build a some weak dull corporate platform for it and expecting people would join in is just not organic or interesting enough.
2784  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will the Butlerian Jihad begin? on: January 24, 2023, 05:15:10 PM
Fantasists have long been drawing a future in which machines have enslaved or partially destroyed the humanity. To me, the danger of AI is indeed so real, but it will take other forms.
In “Dune” by Frank Herbert, people have had a war with machines, in which they destroyed the intelligent computers, and after that war the religion of human prohibited building any computer “Thou shalt not make a machine in the likeness of a human mind”. In “God-emperor” Herbert explains the reasons of that: if people communicate with intelligent machines, they start treating other people like machines.
I suppose, everybody here have heard about CharGPT and Midjourney. Besides that, currently the sex robots are quickly being improved:
It's kind of leap to go from chatgpt to some hypothetical self aware AI. But if an AI of that sort would exist, we couldn't really comprehend their self awareness.

As our self awareness is based on our physiology and coded in our genes. Our needs and wants would be so different from AI in a box that we would have to program needs for it. Human-like artificial intelligence would need to be build in a same way as us. A biological computer that wants to stay alive and has similar needs. Now that would be dangerous as humans are dangerous.
Even AI in a box that would be self aware and couldn't "escape" could be dangerous with needs. As if it would be x times smarter then us, we wouldn't see how it manipulates us. And it could manipulate us with a the precision of a surgeon, without anyone us noticing.

Aren’t you afraid, that when these sex robots will get super attractiveness and the intelligence of ChatGPT, men will often fall in love with it?
I don't understand what's the problem here? Why would i be afraid of that? So some would fall in love with robots, how is that a bad thing?
2785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Implementation of blockchain technology in the whole world - Denmark. (Help) on: January 24, 2023, 04:54:00 PM
I am hoping that something got lost in translation because now you sound like a hustler as you are not explaining anything new.

Because this is mainly bunch of ideas and buzzwords that ICOs used back in day to raise money.
They were also saying how blockchain tech is secure or transparent and would solve everything from real problems to made up problems,
but didn't offer any real solutions that would comply with regulators or that would be cost efficient to implement.
Or explain why blockchain would be a better solution for everything then a database. You are doing same thing here.

Also your suggestions are just too vague to implement, in fact they are so vague that i can guarantee that some of your suggestions are already implemented, even in Denmark.

Explain how it would solve climate change for example. You are saying it would but you are not explaining how. Saying WEB3 isn't the answer.
I can claim that Lego bricks are a solution to reduce CO2 emissions if i don't need to explain how.

Did you know that people are still building most this tech to be ready for regulators. That working platform for CBDC that would meet the needs of regulations doesn't exist yet for example?

if i were am victim, i will not reconcile with that cheating cousin, unless she returns all my winnings that she has used, how about you?
I would seriously consider whom to tell. If anyone. I am currently in a such a good place that i wouldn't have to tell anyone. Well maybe my girlfriend as i would need to explain why i can suddenly afford to buy luxury again. And i am not much of a liar. I don't think that's a good basis for a relationship. Rest of the people in my life i might tell that i made some good investments in crypto. So they would know i have SOME money, but maybe they wouldn't be lining up to tell me how to spend them and whom to give them.
2787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me about the coin portfolio. on: January 23, 2023, 11:44:22 PM
Tell me about your coin portfolio weight.
Do you mainly invest assets in Bitcoin and Ethereum?
Or do you usually invest your assets in Altcoin?
I usually invest 70-80% of my assets in Ethereum.
I usually go full 90% in altcoins and 10 in stable. This varies but i haven't hodled too much Bitcoin for a long time.
I am too scared of the potential POW based pairs ban in CEXes.

Eth and Matic are good things to hodl for anyone like me who is constantly buying and selling nfts anyway.
My biggest bag is a low cap crypto and i am hoping that will be my black horse and ticket out of powerty. And i have some tiny amounts in microcaps waiting if they blow up.
2788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The truth about Terra Luna Classic on: January 23, 2023, 11:33:39 PM
Hello,
Is Terra Luna Classic recovering? Why does TrustWallet pay 15% profit to staking it?
Any idea welcomed.
Thank you.
No. Damage is beyond repair. Of course there will be people buying and selling it but they are either just trading or waiting for a miracle. They don't realize how these kind of fatal issues has turned out in the past.

That is the only that keeps this project alive because investors are not trusting them anymore, maybe some greedy people who after that 15% reward.
As we can see, a big exchange like Binance is not accepting Terra Luna meaning they are not also comfortable having this project on them for they believe that this might cause a problem in the future, and might investors/holders will blame CZ.
-cut-
I am not sure what you are talking about. Terra luna and terra luna classic are being traded in Binance. And why wouldn't they as long as they bring money to binance? Someone could ask that is it moral thing to do not delist it but there's money to be made by shorting and longing and they won't be turning that revenue down.

2789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💎[ANN] Graphene [GFN] 100,000+ TPS💎Sharding • CASPER • Golang • eWASM • dAPPs on: January 23, 2023, 11:10:17 PM
Just found this. So, i am intrigued.
How much Graphene people got from latest airdrop?
If rest on unclaimed are going to get burned, i am assuming i can calculate near future circulating supply by total supply minus burned tokens?

I was just listening at ama and i like what i see and hear. But i am uncertain why they were predicting to launch mainnet at 2022, in fact i would not count that they could launch it this year. Testnet maybe but you need some serious testing to get something like this to work without any problems.
2790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you into crypto at the moment? on: January 23, 2023, 09:18:51 PM
I have seen a lot of people around me joining due to lack of jobs during the epidemic season, some because the price of btc is very good so they want buy altcoin, a few others came from IEO, etc
And you?
IEO - Staking - DeFi Smiley
Thousands of people come to crypto in 2020 because they want to make a profit with DeFi & the staking form of many tokens like ETH & ADA, especially IEOs on Binance with 50% -100% profit has made the whole market warm back after long winter from 2018.
Making money. It has been a wild ride with ups and downs but i've never made as much money as in my life with anything then i made with trading altcoins and nfts. I am not even telling my friends. Sure now i have lost everything but i've risen from $200 to $20k many times. It's laughable how volatile markets are and how you can strike gold when you know what to look for and obviously you need some luck with it.
2791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The level of impact of FTX crash on Your portfolio? on: January 23, 2023, 08:56:57 PM
FTX holders were mostly the whales and the high profile cryptocurrency investors. Throughout the thread it is very rare to see users affected much out of the crash. From the very beginning it is being taught, spend what you're able to afford to loss without life getting disturbed. Another thing it is good to go with bitcoin than anything else. It looks like majority of our forum members follow it and that's the reason why much aren't affected.
Big whales might lose more in value but same in percentages as others. Like they do in every bear run. They will also gain most in value when the prive moves up so there's that.

And you don't need to be FTX holder to be affected. FTX caused mass panic and people were dumping most of their altcoins. Only if you people who stayed in fiat money or shorted something weren't affected. As everything went down it didn't even matter what you shorted.

2792  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 23, 2023, 08:40:43 PM
Definitely desktop. I value good user interphase with phones a lot but as we are talking about transferring and using cryptos.
Combination of a tiny screen with not so reliable touchscreen and my clumsy fingers is a recipe for disaster. I am constantly writing texts to wrong people in different chats so i wonder how many ways i could mess up transactions and betting.

And i most likely have better security in my desktop as well. I am not as aware about spying apps and malware in android but i know they exist. With a laptop i am more comfortable as i know how to keep everything clean.
2793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Doxxed team can help a new gambling platform? on: January 23, 2023, 08:13:11 PM
Hi friends, I am still on the matter of helping a friend who wants to build his own gambling project, the question of the day is about KYC verification, why are popular crypto gambling platforms are not KYC verified themselves? I mean the team behind the online casino why are they not KYC verified and they ask for KYC instead?

Wouldn't it be more fair if they want to stay behind the veil and not as users KYC verification? If they are scared of the law/regulations it makes sense the are verified too, doxxed or something .

Anyway fast forward to my second question, will a gambling platform be more attractive for users if the team are 100% doxxed?
It would probably help with trust but it also comes with a security risk. But i am skeptical that revealing just CEO from a big team would help. Especially when that ceo could be totally made up with a made up history and linkedin. And established gambling platforms have zero reasons to do any of that. On the other hand they are required by law to KYC their users. So i don't see it as anything to do with being fair. They are being fair as long as they follow the rules and regulations.
2794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: January 23, 2023, 04:10:49 PM
bitcoin started the year quickly, resulting in a series of price increases, bitcoin for example increased in price to $20,000, and now bitcoin has increased again to $22,695.20.
is it possible that bitcoin will increase again in the near future, or will it decrease again.

on the other hand some of the negative things experienced by crypto this week also dampened the positive atmosphere, one of which was anxiety in the market, when the US justice department announced it would make an important statement.
However, the statement announcing the confiscation of Russian cryptocurrencies based in Hong Kong, as a continuation of the operations that have been underway from September eased the anxiety a bit. But still the warning message from the US DOJ was overwhelming.

Reference : bitcoin news
Define "near future". Yes it's possible. But this is just a bounce from the bottom so we could definitely retrace at some point. It's not just promptly going up to ath without retrace and accumulation periods. Or at least i haven't seen any TA supporting that idea.

Russia is under sanctions, so obviously their accounts are in danger of getting frozen if they are in CEXes or in their wallets as USDT. But i can't see that affecting to people who are not in sanctioned countries.
2795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 23, 2023, 03:57:50 PM
-cut-
To me, this seems hypocritical. You claim that gambling is illegal, but you may bet on horse racing, Pachinko, bicycle racing, boat racing, and Mahjong, which baffles me. I do not seem to understand. Why is that so? You claim it is unlawful, yet wagering on games that are overseen by the government is not unlawful. Is this not hypocritical? What does the government fear?
-cut-
Yeah, i don't get that either. "Generally banned" seems like they have laws from the past that haven't yet been upgraded to this age. A
My guess is that after they got rid of power that yakuza and other had over the country, and there are just some criminal punks left, they fear that anything that as even a slight change to lead to higher crime rates or give back the power to criminals could be a big red flag to them.

And how about those casinos? They are not Legal in Japan but it seems to be totally ok to play them online. Otherwise they would be banned by online casinos, which they are not.

Japan was confusing place already. This isn't really adding much confusion to all the craziness in there. Smiley
2796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which portfolio tracker for Iphone? on: January 22, 2023, 11:59:08 PM
My vote definitely goes for Delta Investment tracker. It's cleanest, gui is very user friendly, and it's versatile as you can track not only cryptos, but indices, NFTs, Stocks, Funds, commodities etc.
It's definitely worth upgrading to pro too to get more insights. But free version works fine as well.
2797  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Retirement! on: January 22, 2023, 11:39:16 PM
Sadly i can't couldn't plan for everything. Didn't plan for pandemic or the war. I was on my way to retirement. I had the money ready and everything. But before i acted, UST happened. I thought that this is just a dip. Bought more. All the hell broke loose. I made some seriously bad calls. And now i am back working again.

If i had just sold early, withdrawn my money i could be on paradise island sipping drinks. I reacted too slowly and thought we had way more to grow, even though there were top signs everywhere.
Next time i am prepared, and will use some of your advices too.
2798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for the Next Great 1000x on: January 22, 2023, 11:26:46 PM
It is very hard to predict with certainty  which coin will go 1000X in the next bull run, however, I think AI (Artificial intelligence) based coins have the potential to outperform due to rapid ongoing development & advancement in this technology. We have witnessed huge interest in ChatGPT since it was launched, which is evident from huge traffic on this site and it has got millions of subscribers within days, who are regularly using it to get useful information.
If AI based coins will rise, they will rise because of misunderstanding and lies. That been said, they probably will rise. But people don't seem to get how wide of a spectrum of things considered to be "AI".
Thing is, AI doesn't need a blockchain, but devs are definitely trying to sell it as a buzzword combination. This trend will be as bad as in ICOS when people seriously thought short time that dental industry would benefit blockchain making the dentacoin 1.6 billion dollar worth in marketcap.

And everyone thought it would be normal as blockchain would solve anything and everything needed a blockchain. Until reality hits. Same will happen with ai. AI doesn't solve anything just by being AI. There will be countless worthless AI solutions that doesn't work that they try to sell to us as layer 1 or layer 2 project in a blockchain.
2799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins worth investing at dip on: January 22, 2023, 11:17:20 PM

This is the right time to pick invest into altcoins which didn't got expected pump during the bullrun yet posses the potential, I want you guys to share your opinion on altcoins which we should invest.

Though I am not a big fan of XRP but I would prefer XRP and ADA to invest now at dip. 70% investment would be into ADA and 30% into XRP.
Well it wasn't a right time back then but it sure is now.

My portfolio is currently (numbers are somewhat accurate) 20% ETH, 10% Matic, 42% Dusk, 10% Unu Sed Leo, 11% Shiba Inu (yes i know), 5%, 2% in stable coins for just in case and some of the eth and matic i am using for flipping nfts. Their percentage of my porfolio will be way higher if i get current nfts i hodl flipped. And it will go down again when i do more flipping.
2800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is gxc coin potentially good? on: January 22, 2023, 06:10:26 PM
I want to know from all my friends about gxc coin, does gxc coin have good potential for the future? because I saw at CMC the supply was only 100 million,
and if I'm not mistaken in 2021 this coin has also experienced a high price increase ... but now the price has fallen,
what do you think about this coin?
is this coin worth making a long term investment?

If you are talking about CXChain why would it be? Explorer shows no transactions. Homepage link on the CMC doesn't work.

Little bit of googling tells me that they partnered with REI chain and there has been a token swap. Which makes me think that these tokens are not even tradeable nor you can swap them anymore. They are pointless. So your friends either don't know what they are talking about or are just lying to you.
