Over 2500 suckers already into this new ponzi

The problem with this statement is that you're assuming these people actually exist outside of the mind of aussie_striker.

If they, company who delivered FPGAs before, are cowboys, who are you? Have you achieved anything worth showing-off to others?
ASIC? FPGA? Some other Bitcoin-related hardware? Or a software maybe? Commits to Bitcoin git hub? Miner or wallet software? Or at least a
blog? None of those.

You do realize that there's a life outside the Bitcoin bubble? Outside the Internet?

This is the guy that spent several hundred hours setting up a cafepress shop. I don't think he has time to leave the Internet.
2783  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Them BFL Cowboys on: March 28, 2013, 01:42:58 PM
lmftfy:

Quote from: BFL_Josh
"The process to bring a brand new ASIC to life is not as simple as turning it on. The fact that some people BFL thinks it is, is an indicator that they have never actually done so. There is a lot of testing, poking, prodding and debugging that needs to happen to get a chip up and running and if someone BFL tells you differently, they are incorrect, plain and simple."
BFL Update 03-25-2013

And this is exactly the explanation why BFL is so bloody late (and will possibly never have a working product): They are just some cowboys that managed to get the funding done (venture capital, pre order money), outsourced everything and naively took the best case scenarios from their subcontractors for their estimates.

I love that quote. Yes, Josh, designing an ASIC is hard. We knew that, which is exactly why we kept laughing at your utopian time estimates. The ones that absolutely clearly spelled out "we have no idea what we are doing."

It's a red herring. I've got some pretty good leads on the guys behind that scam being German.

Yeah, though that one might just be a hastily copied script. There's more incriminating stuff.

I don't think this looks like you think this looks like.

As the originator and developer of the "Box of Fans" meme I'm going to have to ask you to refrain from advertising your knock-off product "Box with Fans".

Nice 60s tablecloth.

It looks like a shelf of ASIC rigs,  Probably from Avalon.

Easy to buy those Avalons, aren't they?  ASIC chip production is just increasing exponentially with the demand huh?

About as easy to buy as an Absurdocluster of OverpriChips and a bunch of FAIL safes. But way cheaper.

They aren't the only programmers in the world  Roll Eyes

So you add a bullet or two. The point is: remove the movers and shakers and the whole thing grinds to a halt, especially with how prevalent the cult of personality  is in bitcoin and the ratio between "idea men" and "do-ers".

The question is how much they are willing to invest to wage war on Bitcoin? 100 million dollars?

Take a gun, shoot Roger Ver, Charlie Shrem, Gavin Andresen, Mark Karpeles and Erik Vorhees. Good night, bitcoin.

How much do 5 bullets cost?

Any proof? Like mining video or pictures of PCB with chips?

All the proof anyone needs:

But still, the promise of my virtual ASIC chip, as improbable as it is, is still about the same delivery rate as the real ASIC chip makers are doing.

Hmmm. BTW, what do you think this is?

Besides boxes of fans and blue lights of course
2796  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cryptographic Coprocessor on: March 27, 2013, 02:03:58 PM
Considering the card supports neither standard PC architecture nor common OSes I'd guess no.

The systems the card can be plugged into usually cost millions.

Does anyone have a link to cheap, decent cases for the coins? Probably don't want to buy more than a few if I can help it.

They call those Münzkapseln / coin capsules

A ten pack is about 3,50 €. (see here: http://www.mdm.de/kapseln-fur-goldmunzen or here: http://www.amazon.com/Lighthouse-Coin-Capsules-Coins-Platinum/dp/B001L4KNF6 )

Ah yes, running a miner on a smart phone. Yeah, I can see absolutely no problems with this. I mean it's not like smart phones need to be recharged every 18 hours at normal use already. Throw a miner on there. Give those things something to do, right?

that's why I said divide by 100 to account how many are off.

You're missing the point. Why would I have a miner running on my phone if it ups battery drain so I have to recharge the phone every 30 minutes instead of every 18 hours.
