The Lakers do not need a veteran, they have experience players like their big 3. What they need are role players that could step up consistently so their starter could rest and will not become prone to injury. Lebron, AD, and Westbrook, as long as they play great basketball, that will affect the entire team in a positive way.
I agree about this topic. Lakers don't need such a player to be more successful now. The important thing for them now is to replace Westbrook with a better guard. His performance in the previous season wasn't satisfying at all and this affected the team very negatively. Lebron doesn't want to have another season with him currently. Irving is speculated to replace him soon but we will see. That would be possible if they will give up on Westbrook, but it looks like they still want to try another season to see if Westbrook could really fit the team. Westbrook had a rough last season, but the management is not giving up, they have invested in him, so they'll try at least one last time. Honestly Irving would be a great addition to the team imo. Good idea, if SBP won't remove Chot as the main coach for the Gilas, they should make it comfortable for him to manage the players that he used to coach in the PBA.
But if it's about the younger players, they should really consider changing it and replace him with CTB whom is more aware and better in managing those young talents.
Probably there’s an issue between the SBP and Coach Tab that’s why he will not come back despite of our calls for him to lead the team. There’s so much issues with the SBP, I think we need a total change if we want to back in a winning column again. There’s still time and we still have those good players, this is not an issue with the players anymore the coaching staff should be more aware of this. There’s so many disappointed losses with our Gilas, they should rise again. What can we think of? There's really a gap between Tab and the SBP and that's how politics work. I believe Ginebra is a strong team, they can come back even with a huge deficit and they are good in the 2nd half.
Have bet for Ginebra before the game started and as I have said in my post on our local board that this is a very risky bet as Meralco is a strong team and this is a conference where they don't have a Justine Brownlee that could score for them if they badly needed one, no go-to-guy. A lot of time remaining and hope they will recover and win the first game of the series. Still down double-digit, but there's still plenty of time and Ginebra is a never say die team so let's trust that they'll be able to make it a close game and good if they'll win there. That's why I'm backing them to win in this conference, though all Filipino cup are usually dominated by SMB and Fajardo is obviously back, but I like the teamwork of Magnolia. Abueva was added and some role players, so they are getting better and better.
I also hoped that SMB's dominance in All-Filipino Cup will be stopped at the Finals at this conference. But hard to think that way since JuneMar Fajardo is playing again like he was in his prime. In an instant just after the long recovery of his injury, he is putting close to an average of 20PPG and 10RBG which is a threat to any team in the All-Filipino lineup. I don't see any players that can stop Fajardo at 1-on-1 that's why teams need to form a plan on how to beat these SMB guys without focusing too much on limiting Fajardo's offense and defense. There are other SMB calibers that need to focus on That's right, Ginebra was able to give Fajardo a problem before because Greg was still playing with them, now he is gone, it will only be Japeth and C Stand that will have to stop Fajardo which I don't think they can. I have met people like that during my life and they are no fun to be around, everyone is doing an activity to get some fun out of it and most of the time those people ruin the fun for everyone by trying to twist the rules or by arguing endlessly about something useless, and this is an incredibly dangerous attitude to have towards gambling because when they suffer a big loss they cannot let it go and they keep gambling thinking on recovering the money they have lost already, but the only thing they do is to lose more and more money in the process.
