1861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 25, 2023, 04:19:23 PM
Yes, but we haven't seen his chin tested early though, it was just Donaire who really broke the barriers literally when he fought Inoue the first time. He broke his orbital bone on that fight, but still Inoue tapping on his mentality to even become stronger in the later rounds even if he has suffered that.

Yup, that was one hell of a punch that Inoue took and yet he survived that one. If only it was not Inoue on the receiver's end of that hook, that fight is over. I agree that Inoue got a granite chin that he couldn't be knockout with a single punch, should be volume if you wanna knock out this monster which is a very tough hill to climb because opponents have to take some punches also before they can hit him hehe.

The only question I have here is if Inoue is capable of bringing his power to the heavier division, this is an acid test for him, and his lucky because passing this test also means winning a title at 122lbs, his first one.

Good question, but if he is weight drain at 118 but still has the punching power to beat everyone, what else if he is fully hydrated at 122 lbs and not going to drain himself up?

I guess the answer is that he is more powerful at 122 lbs than 118 lbs in my opinion.

This could be his natural weight for all we know, again no need to diet and not to eat calories because of the weight limit. Now he can eat everything he want without bothering himself and watching what food to eat and what's not.

I agree with that sentiment. Inoue got a good chance that he is a much more dangerous monster at 122 compared when he was at 118 because it wasn't his natural weight. This time, we will see him more buffed up than he was in the 118 that is so drain just to make the weight and make the fight happen.

That's just a speculation for now because not all boxers can bring their power once they climb the upper division, but let's see what will be the case of Inoue on his climb.

Boston Celtics -8 vs Indiana Pacers

Miami Heat vs Milwauke Bucks -2.5
Charlotte Hornets vs Minnesota Timberwolves -6.5

1863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: February 24, 2023, 07:40:16 PM
Are anyone here surprised by the odds?

I just check on sportsbet and Yoshino is 7:1 underdog. For me I'm, it's expected that this is somewhat be relatively easy fight for Shakur against the Japanese. And Shakur should win here and if he does, as per Bob Arum, he will get the winner of the Loma and Haney fight. So that will be the most compelling fight for Shakur next.

I can't really say if I'm surprised or not because somehow I was already expecting that Yoshino will be a heavy underdog in this fight like a 4:1 odds but 7:1? That's like underestimating Yoshino and just another way of saying that there's no way he can stand up against or defeat Shakur Stevenson. To sum up the upcoming fight, I'm not expecting either from the Japanese boxer because I'm seeing him as more like a local and not used to get in the world stage/ring.

Just good thing though that Shakur Stevenson (granting that he won this bout) will get to fight the winner of Loma-Haney fight. That's what I wanted to see.

Yes, that's the word "underestimated" because the bookies are indeed underestimating Yoshino that his chances to defeat Shakur is little less than slim but what can we do, the bookies surely know the chances as well because this debut fight of Shakur highlights him making a statement as he will going to fight either Lomancheko or Haney soon after this. Same here though, I'm also leaning in-favor of Shakur to win by a way of TKO/KO.

It's true that many newbies start without a solid strategy and end up losing all their funds. It's important to understand the earning frequency and set reasonable goals to avoid losing everything. I agree that not chasing losses and being mindful of emotions such as fear and greed can be a good technique to cut losses.

It's also wise to cut off bets when it's not going in your favor and to avoid risking large amounts of your balance on one bet. These are valuable insights that can help both new and experienced gamblers maximize their chances of success.

These kinds of advice may sound gibberish to the newbies as they don't really know yet what they are up against or what might be the consequence of their actions as what they only know is that betting has only 2 outcomes, you either lose or win, that's it. So, it might be easier said than done for them as there's only a few newbies out there who really had the correct mindset on how to get as much as profits and knowing all the risks entailed in it, and most of all, they know that not every night is a good night.
1865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 24, 2023, 05:05:04 PM
I won't be betting on the fight. There's way too many unknowns, since we don't actually know the true level of Jake yet, although he has looked decent. We sort of know what to expect from Tommy Fury, but again that all depends on how Jake goes about the fight.

There's also the size difference, and those extra long arms of Tommy Fury against Jake who hasn't really had to deal with a sophisticated jab yet. Again, I'm not sure Tommy Fury is a boxer with a sophisticated jab despite basically being built for it.

I'll be tuning in though, and I think that speaks volumes of what Jake Paul has done. I don't usually watch Tommy's fights, but I've tuned into almost all of Jake Paul's. He definitely brings eyes to the sport, and while I wouldn't normally be excited for a Jake Paul match up, I'm pretty excited for this bout. Mainly, out of curiosity.

Same here, it's much better for me to keep a safe distance from betting on this fight as from my perspective, it's like a 50:50 because I really don't know who got the upper hand as both said boxers are difficult to fathom as of this time considering that they haven't made any legitimate fight yet that includes rankings. But for sure though, I'll be looking for the outcome and watch some reels from their fight, time is near.
1866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 23, 2023, 09:18:06 PM
True, it won't help any, not that Pat is a bad player, but trying to replace Lonzo in the middle of the season with him is not a good choice in my opinion. Anyhow, Pat is a native Chicago so for sure he will be embrace by the fans and not expecting a big change for them for the better.

They are deep in the standings at 11th place and it will need a lot of effort from Lavine and DeRozan to move them. But I don't see them in the playoff for this season.
A big no to me too, I'd rather let Coby White or Caruso do the ball handling, they don't make a lot of mistakes in that section. No LaVine too, I have seen him made a lot of turnovers by handling the ball, he should become their catch and shoot type of guy. DeRozan might be better at protecting the ball than him.

That just shows how bad is the Chicago Bulls in this season because despite of the talent that the team has, they still are struggling to get ahead of their current standings because almost every one of them is like getting a successive injury and if they are healthy except for Lonzo, they kept on making mistakes and it's like they really don't know what they are doing. Their game is so unpredictable this season because of their inconsistency.
1867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 23, 2023, 08:55:48 PM
Yep, that's how he evolved after his very first close against Nonito, he has evolved even more after that. He learn how to phase and then read his opponent and even have the mentality to survived a fight eve if he has that injury already.

And we all know after that fight, he beat Donaire by knockout and same with Butler.

So he is still getting stronger and smarter in any fight and keeps on progressing. So for sure he will know a thing or two against Fulton because he is a great fighter. Inoue has that ability to absorb every strengths of his opponents.
Inoue is on his prime and that makes him an incredibly dangerous fighter, not only he has the intelligence and skill to adjust his fighting style, he still has the physical capabilities to absorb a massive amount of damage and do whatever he wants on the ring, so it is not surprising that despite being the challenger the many different boxing fans around the world think of him as the favorite on his fight against Fulton.

And despite of Inoue's close encounter with Donaire, the latter still haven't found out Inoue's weaknesses because from what happened on their first encounter, Inoue quickly became adept to Donaire's speed and strength as there's a point that he can already shake of Donaire's vicious punches while the Filipino pride is evidently suffering from the punches that he is receiving.

That same thing will be Fulton's struggle because up to this point, nobody has figured out Inoue's weakness and it will be an expensive effort just to know that as by the time Inoue is hurting, it will be too late for Fulton. Besides, Inoue has proved that he will always level up as long as he will fight strong opponents.
1868  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: February 23, 2023, 07:38:03 PM

Boston Celtics -8 vs Indiana Pacers
Detroit Pistons vs Orlando Magic -6.5
Denver Nuggets ML vs Cleveland Cavaliers
New Orleans Pelicans ML vs Toronto Raptors
1869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 23, 2023, 07:08:54 PM
Hopefully the tail end of the betting year will be better than the first half let's kick it up with 4 games today:

Pelicans + 6 on the road in Toronto.
Lakers -6 home against gs.  With Wiggins and steph out I like Lakers chance here
Jazz -1 at home against okc.  Basically a pick em and like the home squad here
Magic -7 at home against Detroit.  Orlando is have a sneaky decent year.  Thinks they feast on Detroit.

Good luck everyone!

Tailing you with the Pelicans but on ML @ 2.91 on the road vs Toronto Raptors and also Lakers -4.5 vs GS Warriors. Tough pick for the Lakers because even if the Warriors got a handicap, they can still find a way how to deal with their situation as they still got numerous offensive players left but somehow, I believe in the Lakers in this game. And also, I'll add the Orlando Magic -6.5 vs Detroit Pistons.
1870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how do I keep my private key safe? on: February 23, 2023, 06:31:31 PM
...

The best way is using stainless steel plate where it's immunable against fire, corrosion, etc. It will be good if you teach your kids or someone you love about Bitcoin and tell where you leave your seed phrase.

This is also not the best way, with an earthquake like the one in Turkey recently, or a natural disaster that will wash away all your possessions, stainless steel plates will not be able to help you keep the property. Every solution has its pros and cons, no solution is absolutely safe, and everything has its risks. We need to be flexible on a case-by-case basis to use the most appropriate method. And the method of sharing with relatives is also the method that I am applying today.

Yes, I agree. There is exactly no possible solution about where or what is the safest way to secure our private keys as every way has its own pros and cons. But currently, I'm just storing it in a booklet where only me do knows where to find it and if ever someone can find their way to see it, they won't understand as I have created a way to hide it in plain sight. All you can see is a gibberish words scattered through pages that only me knows. And the other one (copy) is located in an isolated flash drive.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 22, 2023, 08:44:45 PM
Disney boy's nickname is "The Problem Child" lol it speaks for itself as he calls out all his ancestor's spirits to put a curse on Tommy in his tweet.
But yep this is gonna be a good fight. Jake is in good shape. If he can take punches from Tommy, he can lure Tommy to engage and all Jake needs is to counter.

Tommy: Better reach, better looking, better nickname, better built, better name, much less drama and posing.

The choice is obvious if you ask me.

IMO it's Fury all the way, win by KO. Jake Paul has no incentive here. He's fighting for the show, to be popular, he wants people to talk about it. Even if he loses he's already made money on the fight from all his tweets and stuff. Fury seems to be in for a real fight as he wants to get that official rank and climb the ladder.

C'mon mate Grin Let's just leave their nicknames alone because Tommy's nickname is not yet proved as TNT or as the bomb is really not popping these days. He sure got better built and reach which gave him an extra advantage over Jake Paul, but I believe this fight should've done much sooner because the earlier the better for Tommy as by that time, Jake doesn't have any experiences at all and what he had is just his mouth spitting nothing.

1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 22, 2023, 07:23:09 PM
Maybe not a starter but if he can lead the 2nd team then it's still all good for the Clippers. As long as he can contribute and maybe if they are on the lead, preserve it while Kawhi and the starters are taking their rest. WB and Hyland, that will be a scary fast-paced game with both players attacking the rim.

Honestly, Westbrook is so lucky that he landed on this team and L.A Clippers has been doing great this season and with his addition to the team, I'm sure he can contribute more and push their performance into something new high-level play. If he can do well here, I guess this is their chance to play more aggressively and sufficiently to get through the NBA finals. I'm so excited to see what kind of roles he will take it that team and how will they look forward to beating the Nuggets, Grizzlies, and Mavericks.

You can never be sure honestly, Westbrook was expected to contribute with the LA Lakers and yet he failed our expectations. It's better not to expect so much, Westbrook does have the talent, the problem is the chemistry with his teammates, so hopefully, he will finally fit with the Clippers.

He might also get a problem on LA Clippers since Kawhi is there and George they are the primary option on the rotation of Clippers so I don't think Westbrook will still fit in that knowing that he used to be the main guy on the team. We already see his performance decline so bad on Lakers and this might go repeat in Clippers if he can't adjust on his new role. This is big challenge for Clippers on how they can work out with Westbrook if this deal will finalized.

They might just have the right spot for Westbrook to fully utilize his skills because I believe the Clippers will not be this interested to get him land on their roster if they are not that sure how to make use of him or if he is not the right one that needed for the team right now. But looking at it right now, it is sure that it wasn't the case because the Clippers acquired him in the middle of their campaign to participate in the upcoming playoffs.
1874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 20, 2023, 01:23:21 PM

Odds are already out and as expected, Mark Magsayo was listed as the huge underdog here which for me is a good thing because he is a very live underdog and could upset Figueroa come fight night. For sure i'll be betting for Magsayo here as i love betting on the underdogs but i'll still wait for some options if there are juicy markets offered in the next few days but if there are no better options, this ML is a good one for me.

It's too early to bet, but I like the odds. Magsayo is a heavy underdog, but we should not forget that he was once a champion, so he already knows the feeling of being at the top and at the bottom when he experienced his first loss. I'm excited to see how Magsayo will bounce back from a painful loss, so I have no doubt that he'll win this fight. With that said, I'll take the money line odds.
1875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 20, 2023, 12:24:34 PM
Team Lebron VS Team Giannis SCORE 175 - 184 - LOST

It was a great game with not much defense happening and all players were chilling while Giannis Antetokounmpo was getting his 1st 2 points and just playing 20 seconds toward the game was already out because of his right-hand injury, while Lebron James' finger caught up to the rim while defending and because of that he was out and not playing anymore,

Well the great stuff was Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum were giving themselves a great time playing I think it became a dunk contest more than just a game, while Jayson Tatum was having a great time shooting the ball on the 3-point line while Tatum getting The Kobe Bryant Trophy KIA MVP Trophy with his 55 points it was a great watch actually and I was really smiling while watching the 2023 NBA All-star game,

I'm glad that you are smiling despite losing your bet. I presume you only bet just to have fun while watching the All-Star game. If Giannis had played, the outcome might be different as Giannis loves to attack the paint. So it's a mixture of 3-point shooting and dunk contest. Until next NBA All-Star mate, while the NBA is resting, we should rest as well, but we should be ready with our bankroll when the games resume.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 20, 2023, 11:30:35 AM

SMB I believed gambled the last play. I see 2 reasons why they sit out JuneMar Fajardo:

- expecting overtime so JMF will somehow rest early and be ready on OT
- JMF now has 4 fouls and saving it on the possible OT

Let's say they are preparing JMF in overtime at least they should instead Mo Tautaa to replace JMF and not Brondial. Anyways, move on now. Smiley

That does not only happen in that game. It seems like the coach is not really using Fajardo well. Look at the contributions of Fajardo. Before, he could score like 20 or even 30 points, but now his production is not as much. I believe Fajardo should be the first option because he can dominate the paint, and TNT is not even double-teaming him as they trust Williams to defend Fajardo. The last play was just a bad decision, and I agree with you on that.

As a big fan of SMB, I can say that JMF should be the first option for their defense like how you observe he got limited time, and the play is more likely for CJ and the import, if they maximize him and keep him receiving the ball just like how coach Leo design the play for him, SMB will continue to dominate.

In that last sequence, not sure why coach Jorge remove him knowing that it's an important defense that they need to push the game into OT.

Likewise, nothing to say but to move on and forget about that loss.

We should move on, but it's alright to discuss that game since we have to wait for days before we can start betting again.

The game will be on Wednesday, so there's nothing we can discuss except past games. Fajardo is still the best player in the PBA, and he still dominates, but it's unfortunate that he has not been fully maximized. We miss Coach Leo, but he was also struggling in the past season, which is the reason why he was replaced.
1877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 19, 2023, 12:58:48 PM

The spread for the first game is Ginebra -12 against Blackwater, while the spread for the second game is SMB -4 against TNT.

That was an easy one. Ginebra dominated the game and ended up winning by 26 points. It's a huge bounce back after losing previous games, but you know Blackwater is not really a downgrade. They changed their import, but the new import wasn't as good as the old one. Their import only scored 14 points while Brownlee had a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Closely monitoring the second game here between the Beermen and Katropa and it's a close one at the moment that i'm tempted to go for TNT with that 2,40 odds at halftime.

At the same time this one is a low scoring ballgame with the import of both teams only scored 11 and 9 points respectively which i think would still be trend going into the second half so i'm betting now under 212.5 @1.96.

Don't attempt to bet on TNT because Mikey Williams did not return due to an ankle sprain he sustained in the first half. It's very risky in my opinion. I suggest taking a bigger odds in favor of SMB, like SMB winning by 11+ points, which is at 9.25 now.  Smiley

Thanks for the tip mate, you are right, Mikey Williams will not be returning to this game plus TNT don't have Roger Pogoy so they are the underdog now but looking at the plays of TNT, they are just so lucky that they are not leading by 6 points at the end of the third quarter. I won't be betting anymore on this game, just monitoring now my under 212.5 bet that is in the risk of losing as shots from both teams were falling in the third quarter that they scored 63 points in that quarter alone.

Sorry about that, mate. I shouldn't have warned you because TNT won the game. Oftana was able to make the follow-up shot. What a game! I thought SMB was going to win easily since there was no Williams and Pogoy, but TNT's good ball movement really gave them the win. Sorry again.

Much to my surprised Magsayo will not have Roach as his lead trainer he opted to be with Marvin Zamodio, lets's see in this coming fight if Magsayo made the right decision, Magsayo badly needed to win this fight, but changing your main trainer like Roach will make a huge impact in his performance could be bad or good for this coming fight, it will be interesting what Magsayo will show with Zamudio in his corner.

Magsayo, Promoter Explain Change In Head Trainers From Freddie Roach To Marvin Somodio

Quote
“But they relate more. They’re Filipino. They speak the same dialect. And he just felt like he needed a change. He needed a new gym. He just needed to try something new. And, you know, like I said, nothing against Freddie, nothing against Wild Card, but sometimes you wanna try something new, let Marvin lead, be the lead trainer. And we’re gonna see the results. I think we’ll see very good results on March 4th.”

I think it could be the issue that Mark or coach Freddy has a tight deadline with some boxers as well that's why he can't give more time to Magsayo. Not saying that he is the reason why Mark lost, it's not and I would agree that it's better if it will be a Filipino so that there will be no lost in translation.

Marvin has guided Mark before and giving him good advise in his career.

I think it's time for Magsayo to go back to his grassroots training against with his old lead trainer.

I'm not saying this is a bad decision but we know how great Roach having mentored Pacquiao and all other great boxers, he knows what to say and how to say things before and during the fight, I don't know Zamudio, but if he wins the fight against Figueroa it's very likely that he will have Zamudio as a permanent trainer.
I hope Magsayo will be back on the right track Figueroa is just too good every time I watched his style of fighting on Youtube I have doubt if Magsayo can match his skill and aggresiveness.

That's not a bad decision because Marvin is already on the side of Magsayo for a long.

As also the same country as Magsayo, it's good to see a Filipino tandem on the court.

Who knows that if Magsayo just continue to win, we will eventually Marvin becoming a popular trainer and soon can reach the level of Coach Roach.

Magsayo and his camp needed to work with how to look for Figueroa's possible weaknesses, just like what you said. This guy has a strong upper body who can engage anytime and can bring his opponent down.

It's tough for Magsayo since he's stamina is his main problem, if Figueroa managed to break him
the chance that Magsayo will fall short in this fight is possible, in that sense that it's not a new trainer
but an old buds who can contribute with what they can do to counter and survive Figueroa.
Every fighter has a way of learning and studying against their opponent and we all know that before the fight they will go for training and also studying the moves of their opponent and once they already know the movement of the fighter they need to counter it so they will train the counter techniques and for this fight not only magsayo have a counter move but also figueroa has that kind of technique as well. Because both fighter aim is to win the match.

True, I mean, who does that? Surely both camps are doing their own homework on how to defeat the opposite camps and take note about their habits inside the ring and its weakness. That will be a struggle for sure, but that's a trade they have to do because it will boost their chances to win the upcoming fight rather than just doing some random sparring without knowing what they are against in the future. That's just like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Well, anyone does have their own comments about the upcoming fight between Tommy Furry and Jake Paul, and people will always find a way to make such comments. But, let's think of it, surely it's their own choice if they will set the price higher because they are also not forcing anyone to see their fight. They are just making the hype and marketing it as that's what organizers and boxers do, the fact is, they are just getting advantage of the situation because their fight has been criticized by many and that makes it more famous. The more haters, the more money. We are also the only ones who are feeding these nonsense so-called boxers to make a nonsense fight.

After all, it's just a business, there is much less sport here. Mauricio Suleiman announced that if he wins, Jake Paul will be placed in the official WBC world heavyweight rating (up to 90.7 kg). For Jake, this can be an additional motivation if he has such a goal, and if this does happen, then canceling fights in professional boxing will not work so easily. ) Fury continues to claim that he is a professional boxer and will knock out Jake in this fight.

All these news and hype with the recent statement of WBC's president, then suddenly Tommy Fury will back out that will result to a cancellation of the fight. I wonder what would Jake Paul feel as his ambitions are shattered with Fury's selfish move Grin But seriously tho, I hope this fight will happen so that it will end much sooner because bouts like these are more like a circus rather than a real boxing entertainment.

Even if Jake Paul will receive his rankings after he defeat Tommy Fury, I doubt if there's any boxer out there in the upper rank that will give him a chance. Anyway, let's see about that in the upcoming months.
