With Scrypt ASIC coming out soon, I think the market is due for a major readjustment. All the scrypt clone shitcoins will become obsolete and low-energy established PoS coins like MINT may soon be in favor. Hold on to your MINT!

http://www.coindesk.com/kncminer-accepting-pre-orders-first-scrypt-miner-titan/
I still call BS on scrypt ASICS. There's only one out there so far that's real, and it's garbage. Tongue

Nope!

This is another multipool that pays out in bitcoin: https://www.multipool.us/

You can run scrypt or sha-256. Use it to buy Mint

The multipool thing is cool, but remember the easiest way to get more mint is by just leaving it in your wallet  Wink

Can you imagine if Bitcoin was PoS and you could earn 20% just by holding? OH LORD. Now imagine how valuable Mint will be in a year. Every coin will count.

Ya feel me?

I do not see mint listed?

BC is not secure because it is no longer a hybrid PoW/PoS coin. I don't know why anyone bothers with it.

Seems BC peeps are scared of this. . . . .

Any predictions on the ceiling?

This may of interest to the BC community:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=522235.new#new

We are already doing that. Killing useless coins through the multipool.

Well these guys are talking about forking blackcoin specifically and destroying it. They probably have the hash power

good luck.

Enlighten me how hashpower can destroy POS coin? Smiley

This is how...
Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution
"I have an idea. We start a pool where we can mine shit PoW scamcoins and fork them. Most scamcoin devs won't know how to fix them and the coin will die. we can make it expensive for them to pay others to fix. kill the blockchain, kill the coin."

The Openex hack shouldn't have been discussed in this thread to begin with.

Why, it's basically two the same kind of guys.

Both burned their customers.

~BCX~

I had coins in Openex and withdrew them by the time frame given, no problems.

I think the wallet gets unresponsive (Linux and Windows) and unusable when you get a lot of transactions. I have over 4k transactions and can't use both wallets.

Anyone has the same issue? is this a known bug?  Planned fix?

My wallet has 6,031 transactions and works fine now after I finally got it to sync. I did notice while my wallet was syncing it ran a bit slow but also it was PoS mining a large amount of transactions at the same time.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin *22 Exchanges *23 Merchants on: March 19, 2014, 07:17:18 PM

Unfortunately for MINTCOIN the dev does not appear to be all that savvy, creative, or even honest. I mean he couldn't even get a wallet that worked for the first 2 weeks. You going to put your faith in the long-term success of a DEV who may have dumped almost all his pre-mine in the irrational rush to 60 satoshi? Someone who couldn't even figure out a wallet before launching his own coin because he was in such a hurry to cash out?

I used every single wallet the devs released with no issue at all, and my coins started minting around 20.5 days.

pixels right, lets not get too silly with the memes and such

It's all in good fun but we shouldn't over do it. It's a valid point.

Thank you! Finally someone with some sense not to turn this thread into dogecoin II.

You won, now you can live a more happy life in crypto land.

Hello,

For promote DGC in the bitcointalk communauty i redesign the first post layout of this thread.
I work on fayens’s work for the digitalcoin layout concept( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=391192.3300 ).
I think the layout must be more clarity. Also i complet this presentation because there’s lack of informations.
Moreover, i add a new section at the end : “Digitalcoin last news” . It shows that the community is involved to sustain this coin. It’s very important because for the newcomer it’s reassuring. If we want increase the digitalcoin popularity, we must clearly put all updates.

I think, i forget informations for “digitalcoin staff”.
Could anyone help me for complete this presentation?

Thanks for your feedback.

DIGITALCOIN TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

• Algorithm: Scrypt is used to encrypt the network’s transactions and ensure it’s an integrity.
• Confirmations: Confirmations come in at an average of every 40 seconds. This was lowered from 20 seconds to meet the network's demands.
• Reward: Rewards started at 20 and have since gone down to 15. Rewards encourage miners to support the network long term and are payments for their processing power. The rewards halve every 3 years and give DGC the same increasing rarity that currencies/commodities such as Gold and silver possess.
• Maximum coins: ~144,500,000 coins will be minted. That is enough to ensure enough supply for circulation especially when each coin is divisible up to 8 decimal places.

DIGITALCOIN TRANSACTION SPECIFICATIONS

• Irreversible value transfer means that DGC is as safe as cash.
• Transactions are sent instantly and are confirmed in less than a minute.
• Double spending prevented by the block chain.
• Miners process transactions and create new currency through mining.
• Transactions can be received at any time even if your wallet is not online.
• Anonymously transfer using online payment processors.

DEVELOPERS

Everyone is welcome to contribute to digitalcoin in any way. If you have expertise that you would like to contribute, please contact
me
. A stable network providing regularly near instantaneous transactions has potential for many exciting implementations. Visit
the digitalcoin website for community information.

BCX, you really need to get off those big pharma meds and switch to a more natural substance like THC.

BCX is the guy that thinks Marijuana causes cancer.

Lulz! I wonder if BCX is transgender? I have always thought so for some reason.

Pro tips:

a) Crypto is not a way to make instant funds unless you have mega hashrates and dump.

b) Crypto currency prices rise and fall over time and they feed from BTC milk, some die out.

c) Stop crying about the price of a coin that is less than 2 months old.

d) Study some charts over at Cryptsy of the original old school alt currency's and notice the trends. (the ones that are more than 6 months old)

e) Stop saying to the Moon, that is amateur lingo.

To the moon!

There is a reason why many veterans do not hang in this thread.  Roll Eyes

You're not a pro anything. Quit insinuating that you are. If you were, your altcoin holdings would exceed what I have in Bitcoins. Small potatoes don't make you a pro.

To the moon!

And you know how much my BTC and Alt coin stash is worth? If you do own BTC you prob bought in during the boom at a high price, I have been mining them for over a year. In any case who has what is irelavent and makes you appear to be a pompous asshole by insinuating I have more than you, clearly amateur.

To the Moon as you say means a significant increase in the price, not a few uBTC.

mBTC=millibitcoin=1 thousandth of a bitcoin

uBTC=microbitcoin=1 millionth of a bitcoin

Two of my mints have 0 or 4 confirms and show a ? next to them and are in brackets, will they ever confirm?

Yes. If your coins show as "generated but not accepted" just leave the wallet open until you get a confirm. Sometimes the minting process will take longer. This doesn't mean you have to wait another 20 days, just that you need to leave your wallet open for a while longer. Just don't move your coins!

No those are orphaned mined if it has a ? mark next to the transaction.

I'm wondering if the entity attacking MINT isn't this "operation shitcoin" I've been hearing about.

No because Mintcoin is not even mention in the thread.

To make it easier I will start this list of coins/services that seriously need to be terminated.

This will only help distribution and strengthen the community even further. Mintcoin is terrific. The proof of stake is amazing.
