281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices on: December 21, 2017, 10:01:40 AM
With the unstability of Bitcoin, your next move may be truly critical as you don't know what tomorrow brings. So before taking an action, maybe think of all the factors that may be affected with the decisions you wish to take. As the prices of Bitcoin decline, the first thing that you should do is not to panic. What you can do is observe and analyze. You have to be very careful at these stages. I guess if you're a true believer of Bitcoin, you would keep hilding on to it despite its corrections. Knowing Bitcoin, it will rise again; you really jusy have to be patient. Seeing Bitcoin prices crash can be overwhelming, but I choose to hold on to it because I believe that it will reach greater heights after this downfall.
282  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price will make you sad? on: December 21, 2017, 02:42:05 AM
The moment the price of Bitcoin started declining, it has already made me sad. The feeling of being ecstatic when it reached more that $15,000 was all gone. These are the times when you would feel an impulse and wonder if it's worth keeping. Especially considering the season now, Bitcoin value can really be critical. I just hope that it will start bouncing back sooner or later. I am hopeful that things will be okay soon enough. Just have to hold on and believe in Bitcoin.
283  Economy / Economics / Re: What Is with The Negativity Around Bitcion...... on: December 20, 2017, 05:16:39 PM
In my opinion, cryptocurrency hasn't formally established its identity here in the Philippines. By formally I mean that it doesn't have a strong foundation or structure for an identifier for people to get to know that is why they quickly assume and establish something negative pertaining to cryptocurrencies particularly Bitcoin. Don't get me wrong, it's not Bitcoin's fault; but the fault of people who tend to believe everything they negatively hear about it and not even bother to do their own research to prove what they just knew. Just recently a man who claims himself to be an expert went viral stating how Bitcoin is a scam. This man was known for posting a huge billboard to declare his love for someone; but he himself is also associated with other scam propaganda. Despite being an unreliable person, most people would actually watch him and consider what he is saying of how Bitcoin is a joke. It's quite disappointing how gullible people can be nowadays.
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Go Up Or Down Next Week? on: December 19, 2017, 04:41:48 PM
Considering the fact that it's the season of Christmas or the season of giving, it's the time of the year again wherein even if people don't have much; they will choose to give gifts to others so that the Christmas spirit would live on. Even if it seems like this doesn't have any relation to the rates of Bitcoin, it actually somehow affects it. Since the season promotes the time of gift giving, more people are urged to let go, spend, or sell their Bitcoins in order to buy some presents to give. Given that fact, the rate of Bitcoin would actually decrease in rate since the circulation of Bitcoin is more now compared to how it was a few days ago. This situation although it can be unreliable and not proven can be considered since season is also a factor when it comes to rates. So I guess, as we go through this season, we will continue to feel a few downfalls but knowing Bitcoin, it will bounce back sooner or later.
285  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-12-19] Youbit Exchange Files For Bankruptcy on: December 19, 2017, 10:59:59 AM
Sad to see that with the growth of Bitcoin also made the interest for online robbery grow. It is not new to Exchanges as many have fallen victim to hacking and I am surprised that Youbit have survived the first hack of their exchange. Bitcoin related websites need to step up their security as hackers are easily stealing their money as well as their users. It is another reason why we need Bitcoin regulated to help decrease these kinds of criminal acts.
286  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: December 19, 2017, 04:42:27 AM
Injecting your portfolio with additional funds is really one of the ways to having a successful investment. This is due to the fact that it is not normal for people to only start with only their initial investment as supposed to not taking advantage of both the time and price of it. For the part of adding smaller amounts into your account, the normal practice should not be to buy straight away but first; observe the charts and the trend of the cryptocurrency as you might be able to buy it at a cheaper price. One of the biggest strategy here in the cryptocurrency market is to average up. As we all know cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin are on a long term uptrend and the only way to buy it at a cheaper rate is during a minor correction. You might as well take advantage of it.
287  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2018, how much will it worth? on: December 18, 2017, 05:45:39 PM
Scenario 1: Demand continues to go up; bitcoin's price will continue to rise.
Scenario 2: Demand drops, bitcoin's price goes stable for a month or more, causing weak hands to sell; bitcoin dips.
Scenario 3: Negative news about government regulation arises; bitcoin crashes.
Scenario 4: Another FUD spree similar to the Jamie Dimon case; bitcoin dips or crashes.

tldr; NO ONE KNOWS

Bitcoin can really be unpredictable which is why I think the given scenarios by mjglqw are all valid and are possible to take place. Despite nearing the end of this year with the rates at a remarkable state, things may totally be different in a span of minutes, even seconds in this platform because that is what Bitcoin is. We are all in high hopes that a crash or a huge correction won't occur as the new year starts. Hence, we are all looking forward for a better future for Bitcoin as it has benefits and profits to many. Whatever the future holds, may we be all ready for it.
288  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Buying Bitcoin at $100K? on: December 18, 2017, 03:58:37 PM
By the time Bitcoin reaches this rate, everybody will regret not buying at an earlier time and those that holds Bitcoins will be secured financially for a long time. I guess buying something with this value may seem impractical. Yes, I know Bitcoin has the ability to multiply its value exponentially over time but how long can a $100,000 double knowing that this is the base rate of Bitcoin already?
If Bitcoin''s volatility is intense that it can make your $100,000 be worth $200,000 in a span of hours or a few days then I think people would still end up buying it. However, if the rates don't tend to multiply or it will stay in $100,000, then I think it won't be worth it anymore since it wouldn't be as profitable.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if a person died with BTC!! on: December 18, 2017, 07:55:52 AM
When you own any kind of cryptocurrency, the responsibility of its management would solely be on you, the owner. I guess if a person dies having Bitcoin as one of his/her fortune, then he/she has definitely has the right to dictate what actions should be taken with the left possession. If a person dies without leaving his/her password for the wallet, then that just means you can't do anything about it but keep it there. However, if the person decides to put it on his will and not leave the password, then that's when you can worry about cracking his/her wallet open. I guess this is where laws should also come in regarding the handling of Bitcoin since it has so much value. It's safe keeping should be taken note off when its owner passes.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what impact has gambling make in your life? on: December 18, 2017, 05:21:49 AM
Gambling teaches you how to be bold in a situation full of risks. When you're gambling, there's this feeling of confidence you get that makes you decide what move to make. This move might not lead to the best results, but you'll get on with it just because you are filled with that momentum. It is through gambling that you'll learn how to be strategic and resourceful. Strategic in a way of making your bets and resourceful when things go wrong and you don't have anything to play with anymore. Lastly the best lesson gambling has taught me is to have self control. You should know when it's enough or you will be empty handed.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [IPL] InsurePal | Distributed social proof insurance on: December 17, 2017, 05:00:35 PM

292  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin price so high? on: December 17, 2017, 01:57:39 PM
As the Christmas season was approaching, Bitcoin rates were fairly increasing which made everyone truly pleased. With this comes more demand as people learned how profitable it can be. More people wants to invest in this venture since the value of your money can multiply significantly in a span of hours or even minutes, but little do they know is that it is not that easy. There is a certain balance that is to be maintained so that massive corrections won't be reached. Simply put, Bitcoin price is getting higher day by day because the supply is very limited and many people wants to have it.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: May Or May Not any Digital Currency disturb Any country's Economics?? on: December 17, 2017, 11:52:16 AM
I guess this highly depends on which country is affected and what rules they try to imply when it comes to Bitcoin usage. Here in the Philippines, there are no rules towards Bitcoin. Despite the said fact, its popularity towards the Filipinos has continually been increasing, making more people be dependent on it. This can somehow affect the economy since they are not being taxed or regulated accordingly. In a country where tax is not put into good used, I think Filipinos are glad they have Bitcoin earning but are not worried with its effect towards the economy. Many people would fail to see the bigger picture in this situation for it benefits them exponentially.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: December 17, 2017, 09:34:33 AM
Yup, it definitely does. I guess that's one good thing about the volatility of Bitcoin. Despite the low rates, you can make the most out of it especially in gambling. It feels like you don't have to bet on your usual rates, instead with low Bitcoin rates, you get to have more games to play. However, this also affects your winnings. I noticed that when you have a low range of bet, your winnings wouldn't be as high as they were. Either way, you get to have more rounds and more chances of winning no matter what.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need an opinion on rejecting a job offer or crypto on: December 17, 2017, 03:35:09 AM
I don't see any reason why you should reject the job overseas. Maybe if you're scared to be apart from your family or not yet ready to live a new life in another country, then that's when you can think of not getting the job; but over crypto? For what reason? I saw that you used the word stable. What do you mean by that is it because you think crypto is more stable? Well, here's the thing; a lot of people here managed to keep their daily jobs while working on cryptocurrency as well. Crypto can aid you in your everyday life, but I don't think it will be sufficient to become your sole source for an income. I believe you can do both without leaving one behind.
296  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin the next big thing? on: December 16, 2017, 07:20:32 PM
One of the things that you should know about Bitcoin is that not one of its goals is to replace fiat, rather aid fiat in this continually evolving and developing world, in terms of the virtual aspect. I don't think that cryptocurrencies can stand on their own without fiat. With regards to you asking why Bitcoin is worth investing for despite it's volatility, the answer is simple: it allows the multiplication of value in a span of seconds, even minutes making it's value reach even greater heights. Though it may be fluctuating, after some time it can bounce back and still assure that your money has grown over time with it.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reach 25,000$ at this year end ?? on: December 16, 2017, 01:21:52 PM
I feel like the increase in rate of Bitcoin has been slowing down lately. Compared to the rates when it hit $15,000, it was able to even increase further to $16,000 in a span of hours. With it's rate gradually progressing, I think that it will only reach $20,000 by the end of the year. Unless the volatility will suddenly change path, then $25,000 will still be achievable. With it's slow phase, I really think that it will only reach $20,000 by the end of the year.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Your bitcoin experience, how did it started? on: December 16, 2017, 09:15:50 AM
Bitcoin was introduced to me by my partner who was very persistent that I should join and try this venture. I was really hesitant at first since Bitcoin is not very well known here in the Philippines. Also, the idea of cryptocurrency wasn't really trustworthy for me. I doubted Bitcoin to be honest for I really didn't know if it was legit or just another scam on its peak. For so long, my partner tried his best for me to get to know Bitcoin. Now, I am in full regret that I didn't listen to him right away. Bitcoin has been aiding me to get through everyday. I am so thankful he never stopped pursuing Bitcoin on me. I had an account ever since February, 2017. I only started using it this October and I feel like I've been so blessed even in the short amount of time I've been investing on it.

300  Economy / Economics / Re: What's your vision of cryptocurrencies ? on: December 15, 2017, 07:52:54 AM
Bitcoin has a huge potential since it involves innovative and technological aspects for it to be used. However, despite its progressive development in being an unknown currency, it can still be hard to give a definite response if it will still be as valuable as it is today, fourty years from now. There are chances that we might end up depending more on cryptocurrencies but the world keeps evolving. New things might be invented that may take over Bitcoin and may overcome its value. I know that when we invest, the first thing we should take note of is its value in the long run. I know that Bitcoin can stand for a significant time, I'm just unsure of fourty years since a lot of things are possible.
