These are my personal guidelines to myself on choosing a bounty to participate
1. Bounty budget, Not to big and not to small because big rewards also has a big chance for scams
2. Project, check if the project have an impact for the crypto community
3. Team, if the team has a good reputation
4. Manager, check also if the manager is reputable because reputable bounty managers dont choose scam ICOs.

It is absolutely an alt for sure who are abusing the merit system. It is not manipulated it is given, try to check the merit summary of that user you'll be able to see who give the merit to him and if you have the time please do report it because it is an abuse that needs to be punished.

It is really a good thing that Coins.PH now is accepting not only bitcoin but also ethereum now because it will less the hassle if we Filipinos want to exchange crypto to fiat. Also i checked the rate as of now the price in CMC of eth is $865.23 meanwhile the price of eth in coins.ph is $854.34, only 11$ difference it can be considered good.

Here in my University in Philippines, my seniors are working a thesis about cryptocurrency. I think they're doing AI that can speculate the price after a day, or a bot trader that makes own decision in trading, im dont quite sure however it is still crypto-related thesis.

Ofcourse it is, Ethereum is really profitable in the future since it has high potential coin. Many ongoing and upcoming ICO are using Ethereum platform it is a huge factor for eth's price. Also no doubt eth is still one of the best coin out there.

Yes it is true, you at least need to get 2 merits so that you have 1 sMerit to be given to others. Because that's how merits works; Merit = 0.5sMerit
for you, you only need 1merit then you'll able to give 1 merit to others.

Also to check if the Myetherwallet that you're using is the legit one there is a MYETHERWALLET LLC [US] before the link always check that.
And dont ever save your private key in your harddisk, maybe place it in email so that you're more secure to the hackers.

If facebook really want to join cryptocurrency, i think it will be a big news for the cryptoverse since Facebook as we all know a very popular social media site if they know that a big social media company decided to join crypto it will become advantage for the whole crypto community.
I think that if they make and ICO or just releases their coin it will be around 1-5usd per token since it is okay to start at a low price then pump it hard in the middle of the year. Hopefully fb will truly join the crypto.

Simply report those thread using the "Report to Moderator" link found on the lower right corner of the OP. Having redundant threads create more spam flood. We cannot really stop people for doing so but we can constantly report them to help the Moderators to clean up this forum.
Unless it's a word for word copy of a previous post no rule has been violated, reporting the post to a moderator won't do anything. A better approach is to tell the person making the similar post that a similar thread exists, give them a link to that original thread, and ask them to lock the thread they created. Put this message in a post so others can see it and direct their comments to the original thread, rather than the repeat. To the OP, this is a good question, keep fighting the good fight to clean up this forum! This wont do, why? some threads made by newbie are also made by alts so that there another alts can reply and easily get a post for the signature campaign. This is a cycle of shitposter and spammer. The best way is really to report it to mods and it is up to them to do the right move and judgement. |

Yes ofcourse it is working like how it should work, the spam are getting much less than usual. Also the account farmers cant really farm that fast now since they'll get stuck if they dont get merit. So i'd say that the merit system really works perfectly fine.

I usually check the one who is managing the bounty, managers like Sylon, deadley, atriz and many more is seems to be legit because they will check the project first before they get it. Also check the project and the people behind it to see if their are reputable and trust worthy.

I think that there is not enough merit points. Even though the system could be good.
Everybody wants quality, but we might blew it with low points.
The merit is enough since there are also Merit sources out there that has a bunch of merit to give, so there will be no scarcity issue on giving merits. It will just be a pain in the ass for new users, who are just starting their journey in crypto world.
Weird for me, what's the connection of the rank in starting journey in cryptoverse? You can even start in crypto without making account here. If you just invest in crypto or mining coins that would make you belong in crypto community. I have participated in several “hot” ICOs in the past couple of months, but most of these ICOs are cheaper than the crowdsale price once listed on the exchange. Even if you factor in the discounts or participatio in pre-sale or pre-ICO. Some of the examples are Detherwallet (DTH), Medatoken (MTN), DADI, NeuroToken etc. Even with the free bounties I’m still in the red after listing. I could’ve bought any of these tokens directly from the exchange instead of participating in ICO. Anyone else experienced this or feel the same way? Any thoughts?
Because there are some ico that ended up successful, with pre-sale's bonus you can buy a large sums of coins for a cheaper price. Imagine when you both the token below ICO price then it went successful and booming and increases price rapidly you think you can buy that coin in the exchange cheaper? No. Thus many people still investing to an ICO. |

I wont invest that long, maybe 12 months will do but not 18months, and also it depends if the project is good and the personnel, advisors are reputable maybe ill consider that because were not talking about small here since 500$ is the minimum amount to invest. Think twice before u act.
