283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitconnectX ICO overpriced? on: January 13, 2018, 11:31:20 AM
For BitconnectX we have ten more days with same bonus level. Maybe it will be more cleared in next days.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitconnectX ICO overpriced? on: January 12, 2018, 11:18:23 PM
Bitconnect was the first well known lending site, and never had any issues with payments. There is a lot pro at contra arguments, but their community raising day by day, and make some incomes.  So, this ICO will have a very good attention of thousands of targeted participants (Bitconnect community), and I strongly believe that they analyze what to offer.
Remember Electroneum ICO, very good marketing, big hype, lot of investment. They promise a lot, but technically ... they have two false starts...lock the participants wallet for over a month, no mobile mining (what they promise)... but still... ETN coin is very good on exchange...token holders increase their investment 14x .
That is the power of marketing and big numbers.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are these MINING MASHINES sites are SCAM/FAKE ?! on: January 10, 2018, 04:15:12 PM
Bitmain do not have official distributors...only direct sale (order, payment,  waiting... etc...)

287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC vs GPU on: December 11, 2017, 12:43:32 AM
ASIC miners are easy to use, very stable, but You have some limitations (risks). Mostly they are designed for one ALGO, and You can use ti only for coins which use that algo.
Also, the ASIC miner market is specific. Only a few producers which exploit huge demand for ASICs and have a very specific model of sale (Bitmain reservations, orders, delivery plans...warranty issues).
Also, they overproduce some models (D3). On the beginning it was the most profitable miner at all. But now after tens of thousands produced (difficulty rise to the moon, price do not follow it)...so, You can mine 8USD/day, now. Very loooong ROI. Check the EBAY, You will find hundreds of offers in half of original price.
Probably, We will see the same story with L3...difficulty almost doubled in last 3 days /2jnrd3y]http://[Suspicious link removed]/2jnrd3y

In GPU mining You need to have some technical knowledge, and You can always have some issues, because You use ordinary computer parts, most of them are not projected for 24/7/365 work.
In other hand You have a much wider choice of coins and ALGOs. You found a better profitability, only start another software, and go... Also, it is easier to find the components...

So, If You have a good deal for some new developed ASIC what You get in few days, take it...if You need to wait delivery for months...You never know how profitability look like...

288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: L3+ mining after nicehash on: December 10, 2017, 01:42:55 AM
I am on Prohashing and Zpool... not so good as Nicehash, but I do not found a better option...
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool now has an Electroneum pool! on: December 10, 2017, 12:54:55 AM
Mine on etn.nanopool since Friday early afternoon, and very stable, big enough to catch blocks, and have a good calculator... Wink
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about bitcoin diamond and bittrex exchange. on: December 03, 2017, 08:46:07 PM
Is there any news about this?
Will Bittrex give the Bitcoin Diamond to BTC owners? What about 4 new forks in December?
Any info?
291  Other / Off-topic / Re: Chain.group Reviews: SCAM or LEGIT? on: November 30, 2017, 11:58:59 PM
In fact, this is only ESCROW service for their "Trade Groups". That groups make from 0.1 to 6% daily trading income. Most of them use own BOTs, or some of well known like GunBOT, CAT, Leonardo...
Chain group, force those partners to establish "stabilization fund" what is their deposit (hold by Chain group) and guarantee to investors around 10% of their investment.
Also, there was a months where those traders have loss on monthly level.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HOW TO MINE BITCONNECT COIN? on: November 30, 2017, 10:19:22 PM
Is there any working BCC pool at the moment except bcc.coin-miners.info
This small pool works, but don't have luck with blocks finding.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Suggest GPU on: November 29, 2017, 11:28:08 PM
Try to find the best price: nVidia 1060(6GB) or AMD RX470, RX570 (4GB)

http://hashparty.io/
Respectable pool, with helpful community (Discord)
One of the first independent pool after the ETN start.
Worked well while official pools were down, and have a good DDos protection.
I mined there since November 1st.  ;-)
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which of these 3 8gb 580's would you recommend? on: November 26, 2017, 09:14:22 PM
If I has to choose between those three, Gigabyte. I have a few of them, works good. But I am most satisfied with Sapphire Nitro ;-)
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold Pools are SCAM?! on: November 24, 2017, 05:12:00 PM
Went to btgpool.pro after mainnet startet with something like 1,6-2M/sols. Only 0,0027 BTG after 8 hours  Angry. this pool is absolutely shit. Switched to sprnova, works perfect with MUCH MORE payments.

I also have an issue with this pool, and try to fix the problem on Telegram group (as they advice), but admins do not answer for more than a week. Now I sent a private message to the promoter of this pool here, offered all evidences of sent hashing power. I hope that he will find and fix the errors in their system.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] «Envion» Most Profitable Self-Expanding Crypto Infrastructure on: November 04, 2017, 07:11:08 PM
Great project. Seems similar to verista mining and hydrominer though.

Do you happen to have a link to verista? I was looking into hydrominer and they are already up and running, generating cash as we speak. At least that shows that the business model works.

Everything depends of electricity cost. After the initial investment, You only need a low cost electric energy.
If You can use electricity from 0,02 to 0,04USD per KWh, You can have a great ROI.
Ladies from Hydrominer rent a small hydropower plants, maybe Envion team plan to use own solar power during the day, and buy the very cheap electric energy from north Europe windturbines during the night.  But such contracts is not so easy to find, especialy if You are on the begining.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] «Envion» Most Profitable Self-Expanding Crypto Infrastructure on: November 04, 2017, 06:55:56 PM
There is an information on Envion official web what I do not undersand...

It is declared that it use up to 138KW of power. Minus 10% for power of components, cooling system etc... We got around 124KW. So Let's say that one GPU can take up to 120 to 150W. It has to be around 830 to 1030 GPUs in those mining conetiner?!? I am not sure that it is possible.

But, in their demo container which data shown live on web, We can see that it has 48 rigs with total hashing power of 8.4GH/s where we get 175MH/s per rig. It is 7 nVidia or 6 AMD card setup per rig. Declared power consumption is 45KW where We get around 937W per RIG.

48 RIGs per container, looks realistic, but there is still more place to optimize power consumption, minimum 10-15% for declared hashing power.

I will appreciate if founders show some more information about the components they plan to use. What components, why exactly that components, what kind of research they made prior of final design? Maybe Your CTO can present some informations.

Also what is the calculated lifetime of one mining unit?

Thanks...
