281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Automation of bitcoin payments for Startups? on: May 24, 2011, 08:56:33 PM
Hey guys, could someone point me in the direction of any apis or widgets that are available to automate bitcoin payments for startups and websites?

For some context, I need to be able to have users of my website send payments to each other, and to the company. Similar to how Gavinandresen does it for bitcoinfaucet.com - but we also need a way to receive payments.

Thanks for any help!

If you have run several businesses with millions of dollars in revenue,  you should have the $70,000 USD capital to buy the 10,000 BTC you claim you require.

Smells super fishy to me.

Millions in revenue doesn't mean millions in the bank =P

It's not smart business to spend $70,000 on BTC when I'm sure we can find someone who could swim in his BTC pile like Scrooge McDuck.
283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spreadsheet: Invest in BTC or mining hardware? on: May 24, 2011, 06:49:55 PM
Your spreadsheet is very depressing.  It's so easy to forget how fast an exponential growth moves, I guess that's how we got a debt based currency.  In 6 months my 6 Giga hashes will get me 0.08 bitcoins per day!?

What makes no sense is bitcoins need to be $1000 in 6 months for me to continue mining.

Thats why I think the best place to profit is with BitCoin Business Davinci =)  BTW this is Brad from email we've been chatting back and forth about silver and bitcoins.

and I should clarify - not that I'm against lotteries and games, etc - I think it has it's place for sure! That's just not what this is.

Darbslim, it took you only a few hours to have this awesome 10k+ BTC project?

Only a couple of hours ago you were on irc with next to know clue about bitcoins and how it works o_0

actually it was 3 days ago that I had no idea how it works =)

What can I say, we work fast. We know an opportunity when we see one. I love bitcoins, I have barely slept in 3 days.
286  Bitcoin / Project Development / Looking for a BitCoin angel investor partner on: May 23, 2011, 11:11:10 PM
We are looking for partners with ~10,000 BTC or more to invest some bitcoin business ventures.

We run successful online and offline businesses that have generated multiple 7 figures USD in revenue in the last couple of years. We are looking for some people who got in early on BTC mining and have some extra BTC to invest in us.

If you have worked hard and earned a BTC fortune, and want to either support a pro-bitcoin economy project, or want to turn it into residual USD/BTC income, we want to talk to you!

btw this is not a lotto, a ponzi, an autosurf, a paid to click, a game, or a get rich quick/pyramid scheme. This is not a mining share opportunity. We are not asking for all the BTC up front, we are a legit company with contracts and employees.

This is a project that will attract more of the general internet population to bitcoin, as well as help support the bitcoin economy, not just the forex/trade and mining sectors.

Preferably we're looking for a BitCoin angel investment, but we could work with a BitCoin loan or a BitCoin investment to be paid back with USD plus BTC.

We're covering all USD fees, biz development, hardware costs, programming, marketing, sales, customer service, payment processing, accounting and other business headaches. We need your BTC expertise, and your bitcoin bankroll.

BTC ballers, PM me if you are interested in hearing more!

haters will hate =)

I guess I also was asking for that, not giving much info.

This is a legit project that will attract more of the general population to bitcoin, as well as help support the bitcoin economy, not just the forex trade econony.

It's a project to benefit all bitcoiners - and the BTC investment will be paid back with USD plus BTC, and a share in the company.

We're covering all fees, development, marketing, sales, customer service, payment processing, accounting and other business headaches.

We just need a BTC Baller =)

288  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Looking to start a pool, where should I start? on: May 23, 2011, 10:49:41 AM
I want this pool to be very secure and DDOS protected. I'd like a pro setup so that we have no downtime or worry about hacking.

Is there someone out there who builds the pool software and architecture for the other major pools who could help us out?

290  Economy / Marketplace / Looking to start a pool, where should I start? on: May 23, 2011, 10:37:08 AM
Hey there, I'm looking to start my own pool, and I'm wondering where should I start with this adventure. I have money to spend.

I just spent the last 8 hours reading the forum, so my brain's a little mushy...input is appreciated!

291  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitcoinPrices.com - Bitcoin Exchange Rates on: May 23, 2011, 10:02:04 AM
Current price of bitcoins for multiple currencies at different bitcoin exchange markets. Find the arbitrage opportunities or simply great bitcoin deals.

BitcoinPrices.com
http://bitcoinprices.com

BitcoinPrices.com currently supports three major bitcoin exchange markets and top ten currencies for the countries with the biggest bitcoin traction, at least based on the google trends Wink.

- MtGox
- Bitomat
- Britcoin

Soon there will be added other markets. Also providing data for the rest of currencies is not the problem if there will be such a need. The project is still in early development stage so any suggestions about its improvement and possible extension are highly appreciated.

I like it!

Do you do bitcoin arbitrage right now Ronin?

How do you use bitcoinprices.com to find the arbitrage opportunities?
292  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A way to get the word out in meatspace on: May 23, 2011, 10:00:15 AM
As part of my charity work for all bitcoin has allready given me in just 4weeks I decided to also go the route of "MEATSPACE" advertising hehe

I ordered cheap 2color White/orange pamflets to be made, will get designs prob later during this week. Take a guess what the orange colour is for Wink

Pamflets work out about 5c each so its quite a good mass print deal.

Anyhoo, trying get finish up a website jobs that informs users about everything they might need to know while they run the webintegrated bitcoinminer from http://bitp.it/ to get 50 000 printed and handed out during rush hour.

I still have to test the miner, hopefully can get to that today or tomorrow(monday) but I think its a great way to generate funds, in my case charity cause. Users will visit my website with most of the important bitcoin myths and legends, while they read through it their cpu's generate BTC to distribute to charity.

Cant wait to see how this pans out, could just be one of the most important parts of bitcoin.

Clipse I like the idea dude, but how many people will need to visit the site in order to make it worth while?

I visited and I was only doing 5000 hashes/sec
293  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] Open Source pooled mining platform with web interface on: May 23, 2011, 09:42:47 AM
Where does one get started to create a pool?

What are the costs involved in buying the software to run the pool, and the hardware and servers to keep it afloat?

297  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin - Chrome Extension development thread on: May 23, 2011, 08:27:30 AM
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/developer/detail/npcplhlpjnnoclccciijknpgjkfbddbg/publish-accepted?hl=en-US

In order to use this, you must configure your bitcoin extension to use the bitcoin daemon rpcuser and password.

says that it's been removed...

what does it do?
