281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to Bitcoin is positive on: February 13, 2014, 12:05:28 AM
Thats like being a parent and your 16 year old gets arrested for armed robbery.  Then you rationalize it as being ok because he 'needed to learn his lesson and grow up'

285  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e Flash Crash 10/02/14 on: February 12, 2014, 11:05:12 PM
Did this transaction actually happen?  Could have just been a mistick in the data feed.

287  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will go back to $1,000? And some worries on: February 12, 2014, 09:14:07 PM
I honestly think we will see $100-$300 again soon... When gold hits $1450-$1500 then we will see BTC surpass $1,200.00

why do you think the price of bitcoin and gold are related?

definitely the opening ceremony ring glitch as others aren't really relevant but this was in front of everyone and one of the most viewable and most important things Cheesy

and they messed it up  Undecided

well, in Russia the ceremony ring opens you Cheesy

the ring was pretty bad I'll give you that.  I just hate listening to Bob Costas bring up gay rights or some other political nonsense before the coverage kicks off ever night.  Just STFU and put the games on.
289  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: February 12, 2014, 09:02:53 PM
But really late reg isnt that big of an issue, the structures are.  Starting stacks need to be 3000 chips unless the tourney is a rebuy.  Rebuy tourneys need add-ons.  Tournaments need longer blind levels for non turbos, at least 10 minutes long and numerous levels need to be added.  A non-turbo tournament shouldnt take 60-80 minutes to complete as they often do on the site.  These all seem like easy implementations to make, not sure why they havent occurred yet.  Just look at Pokerstars or Full Tilt, they have been successful for a reason.  Why would you not attempt to mirror their schedules/ structures to some degree?
290  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: February 12, 2014, 08:57:32 PM
As to the subject of late registration...  his does seals stop multiaccounters from turning every tourney with a late reg into a rebuy tournament?

This would be especially applicable if the late reg period is long like an hour.

they should have a late reg period but it should never even come close to being an hour long with the way the tourneys are currently structured.  Ending it after the first 3 or 4 levels seems appropriate.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Greek central bank warned us about bitcoin, what should I do? (POLL) on: February 12, 2014, 08:54:22 PM
lol the Greek Central Bank is good at handling finances

That is funny. I also like JP Morgan warning about bitcoin money laundering and fraud. Oh F-kin please.  Roll Eyes They were Bernie Madoff's bank and the preferred bank of the Columbian drug cartels. Here is today's scandal.

haha yea JP Morgan is another good example, they are always trying to support ethics in business.

293  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why people don't switch to Kraken? on: February 12, 2014, 08:47:00 PM
With all the problems most of the few major exchanges are experiences why kraken isn't getting much traction?
From what I've read they are legit and well funded UK based exchange, so should be all good.
Or I'm missing something here?
Uhm not quite..

They are US based but have found a bank in Germany(Fidor Bank) that will do all of their banking transactions of fiat currency.
Due to licensing issues in the US, most of their customers are in europe and that's why the XBT/EUR volume is bigger than XBT/USD.

I also love this exchange. They run it very professional and deposit/withdrawals work with SEPA(european banking system) which makes it quite reliable and fast.
They have some nice advanced trading options and leveraged trading is prepared in the system and will be enabled when the volume is big enough.

They once stated that they do not advertise on purpose so they can grow steadily without growing pains that come with advertising and new customers.

new customers are growing pains?  How else do they expect to grow?  Doesnt seem like a very good business model.
294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptsy SUCKS, do not use it anymore! on: February 12, 2014, 08:45:28 PM

295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling bitcoin horde 41 coins on: February 12, 2014, 08:44:14 PM
Yeah right, scammer.  You think we are going to take some zero post count NOOB seriously with a ZERO ebay rating, selling BTC way under the market price?

No one here is that dumb.

Edit -- well maybe some here aren't too bright, specifically the ones who bought ASICS and the ones who voted for Obama......

there are many here who are not very bright, solid edit
296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Kraken on: February 12, 2014, 08:42:52 PM
volume seems to be picking up a little bit but there still isnt much liquidity there, just look at their market data only 727 coins traded in the last 24 hours

298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can Bitcoin be made fun and exciting again? on: February 12, 2014, 08:38:19 PM
another huge price run up would be fun

I think the opposite. A huge price drop would be fun to watch.

good point, I would like to see that so I can scoop up some cheap coins
