This is what happens when people here troll someone who has bought Monero (Crowdwhale), and make him want to leave. He sells and we all have to sit here looking at our -7% Monero.
I am very sad that that happened.
No one trolled him. He came in flinging around a series of temper tantrums because the price wouldn't move the way he wanted, demanded 'the boogeywhales' cater to him or he would leave and go back to Forex, and no one obliged his ego. Monero ill needs holders like that. If that was him dumping his stash I would say we are better off without those XMR being in his hands. Monero is the most sophisticated financial asset in the world - if you dump it because the other holders don't pander to your whims, then I'm not sure you deserve what comes next anyway. Once again a mischaracterization. You seem to read anger where there's either humor or dismay. I critiqued the whale, as did others, and then made a joke about him beaching himself. I said I would go back to forex if it reached a certain price because it meant I'm just not suited to these manipulated markets. Nowhere did I insult anyone other than a faceless market manipulating whale, and nowhere did I "whine" or "cry" or "rant" or anything of the sort. You guys must be really bored. |

I typically ignore head and shoulders, for the most part. I think it's a very unreliable pattern. However, when I know people are trying to manipulate the price down it becomes a factor since they're probably looking to paint the tape.

Then it went up to 370 and I fixed the situation. Then it went back down and I started complaining about the bear whale, as were other people. Apparently some folks get butthurt when you insult their pet whale.
Now I'm just waiting for support to disappear and a big red candle to shoot down to 321 as the manipulators try to force the head and shoulders. The market just feels too manipulated. And yes, I know most of them are.

If you are referring to the public interactions some people had with you in the last week I am not sure if the hostility was directed at speculation itself. To me it seemed like people were annoyed that you were complaining about whales who in your view were acting sub-optimally with their placement of buy and sell walls. Your posts did not bother me at all but I can see why some would challenge your objections (to buy and sell wall placement) since in their view speculation (particularly while trading on margin) assumes the risk of the things your were complaining about. Furthermore since each person in the community acts independently, it would not matter if most of the community agreed with you. Those who did not could still place buy and sell walls wherever they wanted as should be the case in a free market. For the 1 millionth time, you're conflating my previous loss with my later complaint about the whale. I AM NOT ON MARGIN. |

55k just taken off the sell side between 0.003785 and 0.004  The bear whale split his order to 395, 396, 397, 398, 399, and 400k, and then removed them. I'm sure they'll be back. Whether they're actually for sale is my question. I doubt it since they're the same coins that keep getting put way up higher. |

Everyone and their mother (and probably their grandma too) knows XMR is going to at LEAST 500k in the near term. There is NO WAY this rise is comparable to last year's. There is NO WAY it will peak at the same level (for reasons others have pointed out such as volume and slope, but also fundamentals). 500k is just the near term stop, but it will happen. 8-10 days.
