Excellent But I'm not selling until 1 CON = 1 LTC. In the mean time if people want to dump their coins I will get a bargain

While we wait for the Android wallet & Cryptsy, Mr. Coino, tell us the back story of how Coino got started!
(gets comfortable on the floor in the storytime room w a popcorn)
Waiting for 1369 to share popcorn Pulls out a super sized tub of Whole Foods popcorn, with extra butter & salt to combat the "healthy" factor... ( Cracks two beers, sits down next to 1369 on story mat and waits for Mr Coino to tell us all about it )

Looks good guys Just a couple of little changes required.... 1. The banner image text should say 'coin's' not coin and the text should all be centered.. 2. The text under the download section is not quite grammatically correct "Coino will be the Internet currency of the future. It enables instant payments to anyone in the world. The transaction will be fully confirmed in 50 seconds. Our main goal is to make Coino to one of the most popular Cryptocurrency worldwide. We guarantee a secure and fast transfer with only 25 seconds block time and 2 confirmations. One of the fastest Cryptocurrency on the market." Should be "Coino will be the Internet currency of the future. It enables instant payments to anyone in the world. All transactions are fully confirmed in 50 seconds. Our main goal is to make Coino one of the most popular Cryptocurrencies worldwide. We guarantee a secure and fast transfer with only 25 seconds block time and 2 confirmations. One of the fastest Cryptocurrencies on the market." Otherwise, yes, I do like these types of single page sites, lots of people are doing it now.

Everything was going so well until the smoke escaped My 1 week old R9 270x has just crapped itself. I feel so deflated going from 400kh/s to zero in the blink of an eye. So if your on the con.poolers.org pool you'll notice that I'm the one currently mining at BLOODY ZERO I also have 1 week old GPU and I'm constantly worried it will stop working due to mining. Do you know under what kind of temperature was your card mining? Yeah. It was constant 24/7 at about 75C. I will have to check what the spec says regarding operating temps. I may well have to get those extra fans as well It's now up to YOU, the community, to make my pain worth while..... Push the price of coin(O) through the roof at the exchanges for me and it will all have been worth while

Things are starting to pick up over here at con.poolers.org , now would be a good time try it out if you haven't. We got a pretty good flow of blocks coming in but it could still be a lot faster. At least its minutes instead of hours now between blocks. Lets have a little fun and offer some incentive to get some more hash real quick. 5 CON bonus for each block found in the next 3 hours. Come on over guys, the people mining over here right now probably set their miners and went to bed. Don't let them win this in their sleep And super double seriously, when we hit the hashrate marks I mentioned before, I'm going to start giving away Xbox, video game, radeon card type prizes. I'm ready, just waiting on you guys. I'm in New Zealand so I am one of the of the miners NOT sleeping at the moment and if I find a block in the next 3 hours I am going to whoop whoop whoop

Online wallets are convenient but you really have to trust the holder of your coins. One downside of an unregulated currency is that its not insured. If an online wallet gets robbed or the site operator disappears you are out of luck.
Exactly... This is why I say that as of "today" you need to be VERY careful and consider ALL the pitfalls associated with web-wallets. I expect the scenario, especially in the short term, will be for people to use a web-wallet much like they currently do with cash. Only put in enough coin for your immediate needs from your offline-wallet (you personal bank).

Now get that Android wallet working! (((Whipping sounds)))
JK!!! But with the good price of Coino comes purchasing power for our developer. There are surely app makers out there willing to trade their skills for Coino.
Its coming guys.. But even better..
Give us 2-3 Weeks and then it comes:
Coino Online Wallet connect with the Android App! You can send your Coinos online or with your Android and all with the same Wallet!I am also looking at forking litecoinj (an existing fork of bitcoinj for scrypt) at the moment to enable the building of 'light' wallets on ANY device. Basically a 'light' wallet does not need to download the entire blockchain and only needs to store the headers. A 'light' wallet queries online servers that hold the blockchain to update its headers and query the blockchain This also means your wallets are NOT stored online with the associated security risks I do believe the future of cryptocoin usage (once it goes mainstream) will utilize online wallets, it just seems the overall safer way of storage. But what I know for sure is our current understanding of & the way we use currency will change significantly over the next few years. I agree, in principal... The problem is that as of today web wallets are still considered not safe!! Many exchanges and pools advise you not to store large amounts in their wallets as a safety measure. Also, the development I am working on does not preclude the development and use of web-wallets, it just means that each wallet, online or offline, does not need to hold the entire blockchain, just the headers. This makes the initial wallet sync much much faster as the headers can be fetched relatively quickly. The main headache for users setting up a wallet for the first time is generally the initial sync period, which can literally take days. The same goes for people that keep a wallet on a devices that is not constantly online. In this case it can still take hours to sync the wallet again depending on how long the wallet was off line. Retrieving the headers only is very quick and querying an online server for blockchain information is also pretty fast. Another potential for this could be in the use of multi-coin wallets where the wallet can be configured to communicate with one or more online servers, each of which holds a blockchain for a different coin. Further down the road you could envision being able to connect to one or more exchanges from these wallets and have effective inter-wallet coin transfers. Obviously this would not be instantaneous as the transactions would still need to go through the relevant exchanges. The obvious advantage of a web-wallet is the ability to have multiple front ends on multiple devices all connected to the same wallet over a REST API thus giving you access to your coins from virtually anywhere.

Has anybody got some instructions or a "how to" on setting up a mining pool for coino ?
Actually I only want the instructions to set up a coino server node so that it keeps a copy of the block chain.
Sorry: I should have mentioned for Ubuntu 64bit 12.04 LTS
