281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: November 07, 2017, 03:00:08 AM
The advantages of Bitcoin are endless and we can be here for days going over which feature is better, but the number one biggest advantage of Bitcoin is it's immutable ledger. Then comes the fact that this network is completely decentralized and the source code is open source which means that anyone can make it better and that is exactly what you are seeing happen.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying using BTC on: November 06, 2017, 08:01:34 PM
It is because Bitcoin is not close to being used as a medium of exchange that way. They probably recognize that BTC has a ton of value long term and therefore they are buying it OTR. If they come out in public they will have to declare their books. If they don't make a statement then they can go about their business without any worry. So accepting and paying BTC is not what they want to do right now.
283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Strategy for upcoming BTC fork? on: November 06, 2017, 03:08:33 PM
The best strategy you could have for the upcoming BTC fork is to just hold your bitcoins and let them gain more value after people realize SegWit2X is just another forkcoin and has no real long term value, other than the short term speculative value it can provide. I'll be holding my coins with my Samourai wallet though as they'll have fork detection, coin-splitting, and an auto-dump feature.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you like to enroll Crypto Currency Course? on: November 05, 2017, 02:38:17 PM
Why would I enroll in a Crpyto Currency Course? First of all, it's cryptocurrency, one word. Second, all of this information is online and offered by a plethora of different sources for you to choose from. YouTube far starters is full of decent information if you look carefully. A lot of my info early on came from Andreas Antonopoulos, who is a fantastic speaker and does brilliantly explaining concepts simply.
285  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LocalBitcoins Review on: November 02, 2017, 08:39:53 PM
I've been using localbitcoins for many years now and I have never had any issues whatsoever. They even started forcing people to use two factor authentication upon logging into your account which is a fantastic security feature. They also use escrow during transactions which is fantastic. If you look at any chart site, like coin.dance, you'll see there is volume in every major city in the world.
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries developing their own Cryptos on: October 29, 2017, 02:18:21 PM
Yes we are seeing countries starting to do this but they will pale in comparison the the price of Bitcoin. They will base their value off of BTC's 10-20 years from now.
287  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: October 29, 2017, 01:51:48 PM
Exactly Bitcoin is not gambling. I like to this it's the opposite of that, especially when you are able to just buy and hold it. If you start investing in alts and forkcoins with your BTC then you are.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: October 29, 2017, 01:19:01 PM
Even though I have regrets of selling or losing BTC early on I know as long as I keep learning and accumulating them right now while I can while they're still cheap then I don't regret it otherwise I wouldn't have the exp today.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most common uses of Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2017, 12:31:58 PM
The most common use of Bitcoin are right now  buying and holding, so saving. The majority of people do this because they understand the economics of the Bitcoin network.
290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which bitcoin exchange do you use on: October 28, 2017, 02:46:07 PM
The best Bitcoin exchanges are p2p ones or decentralized exchanges, or both! These offer the best rates for the privacy you get. There is also no risk of these being shut down or regulated in any way.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you do with Bitcoins but can't do with Dollars? on: October 28, 2017, 02:44:08 PM
You can't save value for long term or you can't exchange value safely without it ever being tampered with. BTC is superior in every aspect of money, store of value, medium of exchange, and unit of account.
292  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Reason for Bitcoin's Rise on: October 27, 2017, 02:59:37 PM
The real reason is because Bitcoin is a measure of the global debt the exists on a global scale. Since BTC is on it's way to replacing FIAT as the universal ledger, it has a long way to go in terms of price.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 27, 2017, 01:57:16 PM
People scam because they are weak in many areas but strong in one. They are too scared to broaden their horizons so they stick to evil, yet easy, work that allows them to take advantage of peoples weaknesses.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make money only with BTC on: October 27, 2017, 12:52:58 PM
The best way you can make money with BTC is by just buying BTC directly and holding it for the long term as it is the best store of value that is available today.

Yes it is true and Bitcoin will control the world economy because it will be the world reserve currency that all other countries base their value off of.
296  Economy / Economics / Re: Are cryptocurrencies better than regular currency on: October 22, 2017, 11:07:54 PM
Cryptocurrencies are better than regular currency for the most part. Unless you are reffering to some ICO related coin than it's not safe to use these for the long term.
297  Economy / Economics / Re: What would benefit bitcoin more? on: October 22, 2017, 09:58:11 PM
What benefits Bitcoin the most is to continuation of the decline of the current financial system. Luckily, this will continue to happen because it is a failing one.
298  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: October 22, 2017, 09:56:18 PM
It is better to save your bitcoins. By doing this you will actually feel like you're investing in Bitcoin too because you will see it rise in value year after year. So it is definitely better to save.
299  Economy / Economics / Re: Could California make a regulated digital currency? on: October 20, 2017, 10:00:23 PM
California can do whatever they want, and the people can decide on whether or not they want to use it. I'm not sure why they would though as government sponsored money has always been used to take away power from the debtors.
300  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: October 20, 2017, 03:02:31 PM
Bitcoin is currently on it's way to replacing the dollar. The dollar is the worst universal ledger possible yet it is the world's reserve currency today. Gold is a better universal ledger, so it's natural that BTC will replace the dollar as it's better than gold too.
