Price is dropping, is this the end of EMC2?
there are only a few coins flowing through the current exchanges which let the price fluctuate a lot. so in my opinion it's not a sign for a dropping price or anything else... and there is only one exchange with lower buy orders. Astonishing! You are absolutely right! We need more volume, damnit. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds to me you guys only want to make a quick mining-profit. Let's just see the bigger picture here, Einsteinium is a long-term project, which means we shouldn't worry about prices but instead spread the word of Einsteinium so that not only (multi)miningpools will mine and sell it for a quick buck, but to have everyone hold a piece of to-be-written-history. If people will see the value of this project, the underlying idea instead of 'just another coin to mine and sell' this project will be a success (and so will your coin-price be). Imagine funding research of medicine, 3d printers, clean energy, cold fusion reactors, space travel, (endless possibilities!), all funded by miners, traders and regular people in your family, at work or from school, isn't that just way more impressive than simply running a command-line tool hoping to make a couple of bucks every day? I used to run SETI@Home and other community grid projects for cancer/aids/weather research before putting my GPU/CPU into cryptocurrency to also make money, but now the day has come we can do both! I am in this project (note: not currency) for the long run and hope I can contribute to this world-changing idea how big or small it will turn out. You're always going to have short-term speculators and long-term investors for any market. That's just the way economics works. You can't blame anyone for it. It's just how it is.

Originally planned for 48 hours total of introductory bonuses @ +10% Reward and 50 EMC2 BF, but that's unsustainable at the rate we were getting. We personally prefer lower bonuses but for longer timeframes. We estimate for the long term we may go with 1-3% and 10-20 EMC2 respectively. We have no plans to introduce a pool fee. Currently we have bonuses set to +5% Block Rewards and 25 EMC2 Block Finders Bonus which still gives a total potential bonus of 75 EMC2 per block. http://emc2.lifeforce.info

Is this difficulty low enough to mine on a laptop? or not worth it?
Not really worth it, you're better off checking out a few faucets.

i would do some mining here but the site is super slow. If you fix that i'm in.
edit: once actually on the site its not that bad.
I see what you're saying now, some of the website pages are taking longer to load then usual, while others are absolutely fine. We're looking into it. Thanks for the heads up. I have done some tweaks to apache configuration and there should be some improvement in website speed now. It might happen again but it should be less often. I'll continue to monitor and tweak as neccessary. Edit: We found another 2 blocks, another 300 EMCs in bonuses paid out.

All I gotta say is frickin finally, we just found two blocks in row. I guess my colleague was right, nothing wrong, just a long block. We have paid nearly 300 EMCs in bonuses in the two blocks alone.

|
|
EDIT: Way too many quotes. Deleted Them.
My colleague and myself have investigated and think there is no issue, with you on board, we had aroun 70mh/s, the total network hash rate is around 1300mh/s. It should just be a matter of time.
I'll keep you posted.

Someone needs to throw some power there.. If I throw 150MH will the site crash? i would do some mining here but the site is super slow. I see what you're saying now, some of the website pages are taking longer to load then usual, while others are absolutely fine. We're looking into it. Thanks for the heads up. It's fine now. Bob, how many blocks should you be finding per hour with your hash rate? More then the zero I got so far. I have no choice but to switch the miner back to nova.. sorry bud. No problem, if I locate the issue, I'll let you know and also compensate you for your loss.

Someone needs to throw some power there.. If I throw 150MH will the site crash? Do you actually have 150MH ? Or did you round up by 120MH ? LOL, well I own 10.8 MH running 24/7 and I rented 190MH last night, I'm left with about 120MH till 11 PM EST and am considering renting more rigs tonight. Well throw something at us. I'm sure the extra 10% you'll get from our Lifeforce pool would help you with those renting costs. Also if you're one of the top hashers, you'll probably clean up on our block finder bonus too so in fact you might actually be getting a total of 15% extra from us. Some pools are charging 1-2% fee to their users, however we paying our users upto 15% extra, crazy? yes we are.

***Celebrations*** we just received our first block!
And Instead of giving the standard 998.4 (1024 minus emc2 donations) we gave out an extra 128 shared between everyone + 50 to the block finder for a total bonus of 178.
For the next 44 hours any blocks found will get an extra 99.84 shared between everyone + 50 to the block finder on top of that giving a potential bonus = 149.84 per block.
Are we mad? Well yes a little bit, but we just want your hashes and we want to grow and we're willing to pay you to mine with us if thats what it takes!
Could really use some help with our second block. Current Stats: Pool Workers: 7 Pool Hashrate: ~2.5MH/s Fee: 0% Block Finders Reward: 50 EMC2 Block Reward: +10% for ~42 hours http://emc2.lifeforce.infoSomeone needs to throw some power there.. Whats slow about it? I haven't noticed anything slow about the site? Are you talking about the pool rate? Then in that case we're new of course we're low at the moment but with rewards like these, I'm sure we won't stay low.

Supersta, are you admin there?
Yep. Come test it out, if it crashes, so it be it. We rather know now while it's still young and won't affect many users but I'm sure it will be fine. (We are quietly confident.) xD
