I bought a lot of GRS with those prices btw.
I bought ~40k when it was very low on NXT-E, and make a x3. I know that we are far far away of the real price.
Don't complain for the low price, it's a chance to invest.

GPU advantage among CPU is lower than on different algo, but i don't think there is so much cpu farm. Big miners switched to alternate algos instead of scrypt, and some come to GroestlCoin, that's all. It's still possible to mine for little miners, and a good time to buy. I almost double my GRS amount buy trading (with some profit too)

Having a fast decrease like 6%/week is good, don't decrease it ! Many miners come with this feature in mind.
In other hand, you can increase it if you "give" something in exchange (POS)

Id like tio get people's views on the mining rewards / block reduction
At the current rate we're mining the coins fast.
Should we increase block size reduction (e.g. 6% > 12% > 24%) or something else to extend the mining time for this coin?

Bloc reward reduction is already pretty fast. If you want to increase it, why not, if there is POS. |

we should change GRS to a POS coin,look at the price of BC,FAC,etc,It is POS coin's world now.
Good idea We maybe can add a poll for voting. The important thing also is to make the coin evolving. A "static" coin can be a good thing, but a "dynamic" coin is better.(but have to keep moving in the right direction, not just for moving) POS is a good idea i think, but i don't know how to. But POW+POS is better than POS only no ? One of the big thing of Groestlcoin is his GPU friendlyness algo, and multi plateform fairness. So, without mining... |

I feel very frustrated.
in last two days, i dumped 130k GRS at 700~800 satoshi,it was hard to dig,
and now ,it is even harder,hashrate grows,block reward decrease,
where is my GRS?
Thank you for dumping (and to all dumpers) I bought a lot, and sold at 3 times the price i bought. But i keep holding all GRS i mined myself. We are far from the optimal prices (6000 satoshi i think) where the coin can stabilize. You dumped, and complain about the difficulty. You made a mistake. Now, Groestl begin (and it's just the begining) to attract attention. Price and difficulty will continue to grow. If you want to stay in the train, you have to continue mining and buy when it's low. |

You should reach 6.8/7MHs per 280x Try intensity @ 20 sometime, I 24 is worse than 20. Be sure to use latest pool sgminer |

If you have a HD5xxx card, use it with Groestlcoin or Myriadcoin (with groestl algo) : you will have between HD7950 and R9 280X perfs (because of the HD5xxx architecture, this algo work very well on it) - and also with less heat and less power consumption than Keccak (less than X11 too, i think it's the most gpu friendly algo out there) |

Plz help me confirm Asus 6990  I only have 7,7Mh/s with I 21 Use -g 1 not -g 4 as mentioned on shp-sgminer page. Relly? You get better result with -g 1? On 6770 I use -g 10 -w 256, that gives me ~20% more speed compared with -g 4 -w 64 and ~30% more compared to -g 1 -w 64. I suggest you to try that too... Maybe it's related to HD6xxx architecture. On HD7950 and R9 280x -g 1 give me the best perfs. R9 280x @ 1200MHz, -I 20 : -g 1 : 7.6MHs -g 2 : 5.5Mhs -g 10 : 6.2Mhs Same thing on HD7950 : best perfs with -g 1 But, HD7850 have a little more perfs with -g 10 instead of other settings : (10%) |
