281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whales or institutes do not stop their bitcoin buying on: December 26, 2020, 06:52:58 PM
Perhaps the OTC market the grayscale BTC shares are traded should be counted in the total exchange inflow/outflows. I don't know the volumes it produces though and haven't seen the order books. The prices there are higher usually for unproven reasons yet. Maybe we should be adding these too, as it is trade and I'm not sure if this is called derivatives. The assets are in the custodial accounts and are not used in other way so it can't be derivatives.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the power of HOLD and believe on: December 26, 2020, 06:46:35 PM
as we know, the price of Bitcoin had a bear run in 2018 with the lowest price at $3k on Dec 17, 2018 and now the price of Bitcoin has reached $25k and this is the new ATH price for Bitcoin, so if you buy Bitcoin in 2018 and HOLD until now, then you can get a profit of more than 700% and I also congratulate those of you who HOLD or bought Bitcoin in 2018 when the price of Bitcoin dump.

I don't congratulate bad investments made on greed. Anyone bought at $20k in 2017 it was a mistake. Buying at $3k in 2018 required guts as all you were listening was fear and traders wanting less price to buy. I did make a good return but I wish I didn't have to sell to the banksters that took over. Since it is their game now, I'm not interested too much, it is not about anything for me just to make profit. I tried to be an idealist but there is nothing like that, perhaps it was in early days. Now it is all about making more fiat money for yourself.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum is said to be One Step ahead of Bitcoin on: December 26, 2020, 05:49:55 PM
I don't know if it is one step ahead. This can be an overstatement. What is certain is that Ethereum is developing rapidly. If it succeeds in the scaling problem then it will have an advantage as it will be more useful from Bitcoin that currently is doing nothing but trying to convince everyone it will become gold.
284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: December 26, 2020, 05:44:03 PM
Really, this is what you are going to do? You didn't buy in March when others told you and you will buy at $25-30k?
You missed your chance in my opinion, anyone buying now is gambling too much.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end the dollar’s reign? on: December 25, 2020, 03:36:54 PM
You can keep saying about the dollar, but what I see is hodlers were telling the same in 2015 and became sodlers in 2017. So if you want to hide behind your finger then do that but you aren't convincing anyone. The dollar will still be what you are looking for, otherwise you wouldn't care about the price of Bitcoin but only for adoption and developments.
Were you a hodler? Did you sell at least half to have more dollar or euro whatever your currency is?
286  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CONFESSION TIME: I SOLD TOO EARLY on: December 25, 2020, 01:09:49 PM
that's not the ideal time to sell if the market's too bear. I'm sorry if you just did.

We have an ideal time to sell? Shouldn't there be a careful plan that we should follow? What about today, price keeps rising and any day it can be January 2018 again and another two year bear market. Altcoins didn't even made it as previously. Is there an indicator when we should be selling? Also all the 2017 altcoins have never recovered, doesn't this mean they are probably not ever going to?
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is headed for the stars, but... on: December 25, 2020, 12:55:40 PM
I understand what you say but how much have you profited from this in fiat? Did you enter just to put everything in Bitcoin then? What is your plan and when you are going to find a good price to sell?

In fact which one of the early investors or the bitcointalk whales have never sold for fiat and don't have a healthy bank account? Perhaps you have millions in your bank, most people entering now with the money you invested in 2013 don't have any hope for a 200x like you did. You tell people to keep holding when there is profit taking. Is this really what we should be doing?
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hedera Hashgraph is ten times better than Ethereum on: December 25, 2020, 09:02:15 AM
Isn't Hashgraph a patented technology and not open source? This is what I remember when reading about it. Is it a similar pattern to Ripple having control of most coins and selling them in the market? I see that HBAR supply keeps increasing, is this coming from mining or wallets opening and selling to new investors?
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs become a big market on: December 25, 2020, 08:58:20 AM

May be in next five years but i do not see them doing that big in short term, once defi gets the required momentum and adoption only then i expect nfts to be in the game big time.

What is the relation with defi and NFT ?

I don't see a relation either. Although, some upcoming projects are trying to mix these two it will probably be very difficult. I was hoping for NFTs to become more popular with the end of the DeFi craze and the lowering of fees. There was a push in this direction but it didn't become big yet.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Price Dives After SEC Files Charges on: December 24, 2020, 09:12:15 PM
Unfortunately, I bought $100 worth of XRP a few days ago @ $0.36 and it is not worth about $0.26!! This is the problem with most centralized coins. A wrong decision by a person or some organization will ruin the investors' efforts.

What do you recommend me to do now? Do you think Ripple will rise sooner or later?
Should I hold my coins or is it better to sell them as soon as possible to prevent further damage to my investment?
What about converting it to other coins to compensate for losses? (This is hardly possible now because all coins are expensive now)

We can't recommend you anything. You have to do your research before or after you invested. I had sometimes invested $1000 in Ripple and I couldn't hold for more than one hour.
Right now there is a wait and see stance from the remaining investors. If Coinbase goes and delists it, then it will be over. Only inside traders will know, another terrible result of centralization.
291  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will Bitcoin trend at this time? on: December 24, 2020, 09:04:57 PM
It is Chistmas Eve and Bitcoin didn't move. If in the previous 11 Christmas price was down for Bitcoin in this day then it is a serious indicator. Maybe this time with travel restricted and many lockdowns in effect no whale will care to dump Bitcoin on Christmas as there won't be a reason either. What to do with the fiat since they won't be going anywhere.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best undervalue projects with not so big cap on: December 24, 2020, 08:51:49 PM
How you define undervaluation? How to calculate value of start-up, value of someone idea of product that does not even exist and my fail by various things?

In terms of real undervaluation - P/E lower than average for SP500 or nasdaq i would go with BNB. Its not small cap but its trully undervalued based on indicators that real invetors use.

P/E around 3 right now with volume build by great bitcoin rally - average for nasdaq ~24. Based on this indicator BNB is 8 times undervalued. Average dividend for nasdaq is 1.74% while passive income from holding BNB

BNB is not a stock for Binance and not treated as a share at all. Binance may have billions of earnings but the stocks represents the value of their company. Is Binance registered in any country and who is doing their taxing and finance control? You can't put P/E on the cryptocurrency BNB anyway because the price is not about a stock and perhaps it is a centralized product Binance is selling but it is not the company.

You confused the product the company Binance created and is selling to its customers with the stock of the company in this sense.

Now if anyone says that BNB is not produced by Binance but it is decentralized cryptocurrency I wouldn't agree either, but this is not the point. My point is you are not a shareholder and profit of Binance are not split to BNB holders. Even so if this was their plan it would require an accounting firm to audit the Binance company and give us exact numbers like balance sheet, money flow, etc. The profits are split between the founder and the team, and part of the company supports BNB, only if they wish to do that. They could just say BNB is nothing to them and remove it. It won't make Binance weaker or stop existing.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk on Bitcoin: "Bitcoin is almost as bs as fiat money" on: December 24, 2020, 08:24:28 PM
I think I understand what Elon Musk is saying here. He probably thinks he has reached all his targets and having made all this wealth, it still means nothing. While he started as an average person having a target to make as much money as possible, when he achieved this, it meant nothing. It did give him more comfort and perhaps every material gain someone can have, but in the end it didn't make him a better person.
Money didn't help Musk find any answer he was looking for so it is total bs to him.

He has a positive idea about Bitcoin, it is not as bs as fiat, but it still is money although not as bad as something that we have to trust the governments with our lives.

295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Price Dives After SEC Files Charges on: December 24, 2020, 08:09:15 PM
The price dropped more on fears of delistings from regulated exchanges like Coinbase or Kraken. XRP may dump another 50% in case it is delisted from any of the top exchanges.

Perhaps more of these centralized company run cryptocurrencies will follow. Centralization was always the reason for failures of digital currencies before Bitcoin. Satoshi solved this problem by adding the decentralization proof of work system that wasn't even considered and since then only a couple of blockchains can be considered close to being as decentralized as Bitcoin.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can NFTs become a big market on: December 24, 2020, 07:36:52 PM
Is the NFT market going to shine someday?

I see potential but I only recently joined. What I would be interested is in the basics as I am missing even these. I know what the ERC721 and ERC1155 tokens are and that many are now using them for games, domain names, and collectibles. Lately, we have Sorare for example making some collectibles of footballers. I don't know if this will be important, I would prefer the NFTs to have some use inside a game as well. I have seen some games and have a few collectibles today, and opened an account at OpenSea which seems to be a nice marketplace. However, I think I am missing a lot of what I should be doing, where to be looking and what exactly I should be doing. Probably a good guide is required, if I become experienced in this I will create one if there is none available in the forum.

I heard about NFT markets being strong and going to become the next DeFi, but I have heard that since the summer and now many months have passed, yet no hype and no interest in this. Was it the rise of Bitcoin price that stopped the crypto community from a growing interest in NFTs? Will there be a moment when we will see some rising interest like it was in the past with Cryptokitties?

I have my eyes on the NFT market but I don't know if it will become a big one similar to DeFi. I know that many of the top gaming companies already have some plans to enter blockchain gaming and it could be interesting to have markets of nonfungible tokens used for game items in top game releases. It could become fuel for the market in total.

What do you guys think about NFTs and their potential?
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO scams vs DeFi scams on: December 24, 2020, 07:18:27 PM
Next one will be NFT scams. The ground for scammers is open as long as money is pouring in.

First they inflate volumes which is a common tactic in DeFi and also in some ICO that were creating fake presales. The same happened at a time with NFT and the result in all was a huge scam. I hope that at least with NFT when the interest appears it will not create same havoc as it did in ICO and DeFi.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sec vs Xripple and in the future vs BTC? Is it correct? on: December 24, 2020, 07:13:17 PM
Ripple was what SEC explained, a never-ending ICO. You got Rippled and the problem is that even the most loyal XRP follower knew this was a scam all along.
What do you think of having a company pre-mining 100 Billion coins and holding most of them in wallets that were opening every month selling a hundred million?

To not repeat this, and save investors from losing their money due to disinformation and extreme shilling, top exchanges will require to delist this coin.
Coinbase wasn't very eager to list it anyway so the time will be right for them.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will DeFi's Future look like? on: December 21, 2020, 10:36:57 AM
DeFi has lost too much from incomplete projects and dubious code that was supposed to be audited yet contained various vulnerabilities. Millions were lost though. Not to add the scammer devs that had control of too many tokens and dumped them in the market or the Sushi dev dumper that had some big names to promote his junk.
300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price will Rise to $60,000 by December 2021 on: December 19, 2020, 07:40:41 PM
This can happen but first, there can be a pullback that would make many think about it again. Bitcoin was never rising indefinitely. It has huge dips and while the halving has changed this recently, it is demand and sentiment that push the price up or down.
I agree more with this prediction than anything else I've read that was extremely bullish making Bitcoin reach trillions of dollars in market cap. It can and then what will happen if it reaches 200k? Would a whale in here manage to make 2 billion selling 10,000 BTC? Highly unlikely will find buyers at that level. $60k is more reasonable.
