WARNIN! newpeled1986 ARE SCAMMER!

lol - very creative and nice photoshop.

I own peled1986 in qora.club (registered a month ago)
and I just posted this there: http://qora.club/topic/9/my-account-peled1986-got-hacked

also Vrontis asked me to post this:
Quote from: Vrontis
This is a private message from Vrontis in qora chat

I confirm that I have asked from user peled1986 on chat to post with his BTT account right now the exactly same message that user newpeled1986 just posted.

Soooo Im guessing you really were hacked and this is the guy with a photoshopped message.

I looked through Peeled's posts and his english seems native, so the guy above clearly isnt.

So, one of them has joined Qora chat, right ? Let's see which one.  Wink

Do you have an understanding how much time would you need for anonymous transactions?

Atleast twice the amount of time of what would be needed for colored coins.
I can't give an exact amount of time.

Is it possible to add a "difficulty" value / level for all the features mentioned in the doc?
As you said Anon is  2 * Colored coins time.
Probably this estimation will help voting features will less difficulty in order to have them the soonest possible.

Thanks

EDIT : I have seen the second page right now in which the below is mentioned

Quote
Time Estimation

Arbitrary Transactions > Streaming API > Wallet Upgrades | Assets > Anonymization

I think this cover my request.

Qora is a new project, almost different from the main cryptos. Our qoal is not only to promote it as it is, but to enhance it with new features to make it the "market changer".
And this will be achieve only by let raising the number of the involved members.I.E. the date that the source of Qora will be published, yes, it is a day that our marketing efforts will might bring new people to the project - community (that's a "mission").

I'd like to see the Qora marketing vision evolve to something like: "the first cryptocurrency implemented on traditional stock exchanges by June 20, 2015." (of course due to enhanced features including lightening validation speed, effective transaction boosting, and featherweight blockchain size).

Let's get to the big leagues marketing team.

PS - I have no idea what you are rambling about in the strikethrough bits, sorry.

I think that what you mentioned that you would like to see is on the same direction with what I have noted.I am just saying to be pro - active. My words are in order to implement great features we need to have people working on new features. So, is it simple, we need individuals who will see potentials and opportunities with Qora.I will repeat my self ... tiny steps like that will drive qora to top.

PS : I prefer to see "the stock markets integrated into Qora".

That's why a strategy is needed to be designed (thanks to ASIC we have a strategic planning )and get more people involved to achieve a well running, coordinated and full operational batch of community departments.
Marketing is only one activity, if in example we run marketing activities right now it might fail, no stable wallet, no GUI, no extras, people needs to have something before they invest. But we can surely organize some marketing activities atm.
The point is that there's a lot of work needed to be done, not only form the dev but from everyone that wants to get involved (ASIC has an entire plan for that).

http://demo.themeinprogress.com/nova/

νομίζω ο Vrontis είναι ο καταλληλότερος να το εγκαταστήσει. Κάτι άλλο που θα ήθελα είναι να περάσω και το domain bitcoin-gr.org στο site.

Done ! http://wp-bitcoingr.rhcloud.com/

Hi there,

Here is a "simple" spreadsheet (work-in-progress) that I can post on google drive and share. Then give access to a backup person to update per feedback/tasks completed etc...

Let me know what you think.

291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: June 19, 2014, 01:31:56 AM
Vrontis, can you make a to do list? and then members can decide and choose what they can do and suite them best. thanks

I think we can start by preparing a Qora's devoted network where all of the above will take place, i.e. move some discussion to the Official Qora's forum where people will participate, asking for investors and donators to supply Qora's community with more liquidity, elect members and if possible hire developers (we don't know what qora will do after he finish this project, he may contribute further more, he may step away ...or do we know?), collecting needs, prioritize them and build the strongest community.
Let start i.e. assign to someone to create and handling a "bug reporting form" on google forms as ASIC-8Tile noted to drive bug reporting users there and make more comfortable the dev's life. Those tiny steps will drive Qora to the top.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: June 19, 2014, 01:10:29 AM
-Qora client should warn user if new version is available.
For some reasons not many (if any...) alt coin wallets warn users.
This is very stupid since it would prevent users from possible hard forks.

-Hard fork prevention mechanism should be build in.
Outdated clients that can cause a hard fork should be stopped/blocked from sending/receiving coins.
Again, if I am correct there are no alt coin wallets out there that have something like that.
Very stupid !

-Recovery of "seed".
Multibit and Electrum give user the "seed" as long as user knows password.

For me above "features" are more important then a voting system.
(How often can a person vote, 1 vote per address Huh When you have a couple of thousand addresses you could easily make a poll useless...)

-More forum threads, currents thread is a mess, too many different topics.
Better to have own forum :
qora.club
Problem with with qora.club, current layout is terrible, better to go for more conventional layout.

...and to continue with my though, the above list that Trololoh posted should be taken serious by community, the techdev, reply back and proceed with the new ideas. (i.e. the recovery of "seed" it may be a great addition).
We need to collect them somewhere and accordingly proceed with every single one of them.

BTW, I have to agree with the forum layout. It makes it difficult to contribute.

Is there any interest in a dedicated Qora forums website? I would be happy to spend time to set one up and run it. I would donate my time, but the hosting fees and DNS fees would cost real money.

Is this something the community fund is interested in providing a bounty for?

There already is one http://qora.club/ no one really uses it.
If no one use it , I will close it soon just for saving money.

Can we please rebuild the forum ?
A more usual forum board at the moment will be preferred.

This excellent post by asic8tile from last month might be helpful:

If I were to manage a project like this I would consider these high-level tasks and sub-tasks.

Here are my suggestions for Tasks/Sub-tasks. Priority would have to be assigned by task/sub-task and then communicated through a forum/online project excel file to begin with.

1. Infrastructure/Security
1.1 Develop Testnet
1.2 Security Review
1.3 Connectivity Review
1.4 Develop Peer Nodes
1.5 Bug reporting portal

2. Wallet Development/Mobile
2.1Deterministic Wallet (possible)/Client Windows-Mac-Linux (1 reference client - use all programming resources to build 1 reference client for the moment) Qora has begun this.

2.4 Developers Priority List/Status (Bounty List as needed)

3. Website Development
3.1 Features (Specifications), Wiki, Blog, Login (to Deterministic Wallet?), Affiliates, Social Media, Business (p2b), Developers, Merchants, Voting, About, Team
3.2 Graphics Design
3.3 Social Media Plugins to introduce friends (type of sharethis plugin)

4. Business Development
4.1 Affiliates p2p/p2b
4.2 Add Decentralized Autonomous Organization Registration/List Decentralized Autonomous Software Development
4.3 Referral Links
4.4 Local Qora Buying with mobile
4.5 Develop Business Model

6.5 List expenses (enable functionality that would add one seed that would get more POS than all others for a limited time...) and use blockchain to add detail.

Please add to the list and forward to everyone as needed.

Regards

This is brilliant !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We can definitely start a serious discussion - brainstorming with this, make further additions and moving things forward !!!!
Thanks for re posting this great post from ASIC-8Tile.I have to say that I haven't finished reading the entire thread yet and didn't reach this one so far, so sorry if I am sound like I am yelling and sorry from all the people that they already working on projects.

While I would of preferred a more voluntary organic community to of evolved, I think that bus has gone and we have to start assigning duties.
We do have some tasks assigned though. We need active members thats all I know.

That's exactly what I am asking of.More people to be more active, to decide what Qora needs in order to build a living society.
More tasks, more concepts, more development, more people. We have an unofficial bounty list but what is next when those tasks finished?
This is what I want to mention and that's why I am making this invitation.
And sure, in a community you are involved in order to give.

PS : Buses has stops, people steps in, people steps out.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: June 18, 2014, 11:40:31 PM
I hereby declare - I QUIT!

You can make your own decisions, but I would like to challenge you.
As you mentioned the are teams divided in supporters and haters etc (there always be and their will always be until Batman arrives).
So the challenge is to build your own team, a development team with your knowledge and your ideas and the community will definitely see and watch your progress.
As far as I know this is a free market, right?
So, in the free markets everyone is acting with his motivation and make the best he can.
My motivation here was to contribute as much as I can in order to give in Qora the best that I can. This is what community means after all right?
In communities you are acting not because you will earn but because you will give.
So, it is up to you.Get involved with your own way and do the best you can or quit.

And here I would like to take the advantage and request from all the members in here that they want to contribute on Qora to publish their willing.

I don't know which sections are needed (a marketing, a development, a finance, a legal section etc.) but I would like to make a request to all the members that they want to involved to the community to start a "brain stoming period" for Qora's needs and have a community member's list with arranged tasks.

So, communities are build on their own due to their need to stand alive. When qora deliver's the source code we must be strong as a community and not divided, with projects running, cash flow for the community and active members who willing to get qora to the moon (and I mean to the moon). In order to have it as most transparent as we can it will preferable to have many contributors with equal rights. After all, we already have a voting system.
So please, someone, create a list (google form, a topic, whatever) and all of us that we want to get involved to state it in public.
Things like, where a user can contribute and what sections are needed may be the most important queries in this form.
Then, when the period of data collecting in that form ends it will be published and we will start proceed with commities and etc.

Thanks and sorry for the lengthy post

Ok so where are all the people that said we have to do more marketing etc in the last few pages.  Cheesy

No marketing, one (talented) dev and a lot of get-rich-quick types waiting for the price of Qora to magically jump up without them lifting a finger for it to happen. Perfect storm if you ask me Grin

I know, will we ever reach the heights of credibility and quality of NEM or Dogecoin! One can only dream. (sarcasm)

He's actually got the point. He didn't say anything about Qora, only about initial stakeholders. For now there's only one person who did significant amount of work - Agran.

I partially agree. I think Qora holding back offical marketing has left us a bit in a grey zone plus we aren't involved in development like NXT had.

I actually think its not just about active community doing stuff its the lack of cheerleading!!!

Most threads have loads of blah blah coin to the moon etc! Most activity on threads is hype and discussion on price. Almost no discussion on price here. I did my bit by simply talking about Qora on other threads but almost no one came to back me up so I look like some scam pumper rather than passionate user.

We got to at least get excited about unique features like voting! Starting a thread will take 5 minutes. I will if no one else does, but another name on it sure would be better.

Some of your posts actually look pretty glaringly. You can't post things like: "you better start buying Qora before it's too late" in Nxt and other important for us coins threads.

I got tired of people saying they had never heard of Qora. I decided stiring things up and getting people talking was better than being almost unheard of. Sometimes a sledgehammer is needed. Actually I've been defending NXT along the way if you read what I have posted.

I'm just one guy, I end up looking like some ambassador also for Qora cause no one else is talking about it. I should be just one passionate user among another 130 stakeholders. I am fully aware i'm not being subtle, but sadly even trolls are informing people about this coin more than average stakeholder.

In fact I found when I started threads and people started arguing with me, the vol jumped up. Little bit arrogant but at least people were talking about Qora.

http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/there-is-no-such-thing-as-bad-publicity.html

I'm not saying it's bad. But there's a room for some improvements Smiley Especially if someone from us posts in 2nd gen coins threads. It's much easier to talk to people invested in POS coins coz they're fine with POS and limited number of initial stakeholders. It's almost impossible to deal with POW fanatics so we need to have good relations among other POS coins.

I have to agree with dzarmush. My post has nothing to do with you gorillajam, but I have to agree and let me clear my thoughts below.
We need to build a strong community by supporting Qora, expose the potentials of Qora's, highlight the features and particularities, moving forward with Qora and if possible move the entire "world" with Qora.
We must avoid the "get rich and get rich fast" and we definitely must avoid to became controversial.
We need to support development, embrace it and contribute in there.
A simple "phrase", a simple idea could became the most impressing project. And that's what we need to do.

Things like, vote on mintpal, bter please add qora, buy now, loathing other coins are thinks that has nothing to do with Qora in frontline at this moment... are just speculating methods and "provisional impressions".
I do not say that we don't need exchanges or not to support Qora on FUD's and trolls but the point is that we simple need a "strategy".
We cannot have it in one day, but we need to focus on that and sure, one day we will feeling more excited than we are now.

Thanks
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: June 15, 2014, 05:17:14 PM
Hi everyone,
I created an installer for qora version 8 currently for windows x64.

Basically it contains a portable Java 7 update 60, so that you don't need to install java at all (it will not be known to the os) and it will only use that portable version.
Moreover you get a desktop shortcut and of course can choose the install location. This might help non tech people Wink.
This is only the first version, so please report any bugs and tell me if it's helpful at all.

Important: No need to trust me, just check the virustotal link below or wait for another computer expert that you trust and that checks the file for you.

I do not recommend to use this installer. Very high risk.

Well this is just an attempt to make things easier for newbies. If the community or qora himself decides that this is not needed I will for sure remove it.

Personally I don't recommend this installer to be used but your attempt is really welcomed.
We definitely need an "one click install" for the wallet but this is something that has to do with qora.
He will probably create one or maybe test yours, approve it (or not) and integrate it on the next update.

Thanks

@qora, please take the opportunity to send coins by name.

The focus is currently on getting voting ready but what would be the best way to do this.
A name could have multiple purposes. (url, name, email, etc)
Should the value of a name follow a certain JSON structure?

Shouldn't we need also a contacts list?
